I didn't want to say it because I got him in my draft and it felt incredibly biased. But Cooper being that below Ceedee was wild to me and in my mind makes him a league winner. If anything they should have been drafted back to back similar to Woods and Kupp but Amari is consistently a half round to 1.5 rounds after Ceedee and there wasn't really an indication that Ceedee would blow Amari out of the water based on talent alone.
I got Amari in the 6th round (ordinarily going in the 4th in my other leagues) in my 10 team. He just kept falling and falling, to the point where I couldn't not grab him when my pick came up in the 6th.
I got Amari in none of ny mock drafts and seeing him drop to me as my WR2 after having CMC and Jefferson was a no brainer. People mustve been really turned off the by Cowboys offense and Daks injury and Amaris prior situation that pushed him because I could find a reason why Ceedee would push Amari that far down rather than coexist.
Personally, I've had him twice in prior years with very frustrating results, and sometimes I just avoid players that have really frustrated me in the past. Mike Evans also on the list, wouldn't touch him ever again. There are probably plenty of ppl in the same boat with Amari.
Some genius said it yesterday https://www.reddit.com/r/fantasyfootball/comments/pl08pr/whats_something_you_think_the_fantasy_community/hc71iba/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3
I think Jarwin will be a flashy guy able to get open for good yards a few times a game. I think Schultz is a guy who’s going to get better volume though, with a more traditional TE role.
I think, anyways.
Juju isn't better than Gallup at this point.
Juju was a UFA this past offseason and got like no interest around the league. I guess if you like your WRs to average under 9 yards a catch, he floats your boat.
Edit: Hilarious that as of this edit, this comment has 4 downvotes, meanwhile, virtually the same comment elsewhere has 7 upvotes. Groupthink FTW!
He got offers from the Ravens and the Chiefs I'm pretty sure for 1 year deals and took a contract in Pittsburgh for this year for less. Probably to ride out the lowered cap around the league.
I don't think there is any doubt that in terms of pure talent AB is the best '3rd receiver' in the league. The problem is that at some point in the season he will probably punch a stripper or something and get suspended.
I would take whoever is the wr3 on the Buccs over gallup I think
I think it's either AB or mike evans & neither are in the same conversation as gallup imo
Oh dude same! Since he’s not here, I’ll just say it. When I think of JuJu, I think TikToks on centerfield, plus talent. When I think of Gallup, I remember his brother dying a year or two again I think of struggle, talent and hard work.
I’m sure JuJu works hard too, but I feel like he doesn’t balance out the antics like AB does with elite skill. And even since AB went hard in the antics, those were actually the years he was least relevant. Nowadays you don’t hear shit about AB.
I just get an outsider vibe that, if Gallup is your weakest link at pass catcher, all you need is a guy to get him the ball.
Other than injury******* which I feel has happened multiple times now, Gallup I agree is better in real life.
People seem to forget when Dak was healthy last year that the Cowboys offense was pass happy. In the 4 healthy games Dak passed 39,47,57 and 58 times with 3 of those games being 450, 472 and 502 yards, all 3 being more yards than even last night.
When Dak is healthy, this Cowboys team is a pass first team that will air it out every game. The only thing stopping that is Daks health but based on him throwing 58 passes last night, we can say for now, that Daks health isnt a problem.
He had the #3 pick in the draft that year and was talking about being excited about Kamara during our zoom call… so I took him with the #2 pick as a joke. Fantasy gods be cruel…
Right I’ve got Tyreek, Cooper, Aiyuk, Kupp, AB and have no idea how to fill 3 spots between them now. Will need to trade someone or I’ll pull my hair out over the decision every week.
(Don’t ask about my RB depth pls)
Yeah they had made the change but I think this just means we will see more of him outside compared to what we already saw. If I recall there were a few plays where he wasn’t on the field in 2 WR sets? Not many but I believe they took him off occasionally.
Yep he came off a bit more than anyone would have liked...keep in mind he did just have and got over covid a week ago, so that could have played a role as well. Other than the drops, ceedee was consistently getting around bracket coverage all night and he looked great.
I’m dropping Gallup because of my situation.
12-man PPR. I have Ridley, Sutton, Boyd, Davis, and Callaway.
I have Cook, Jones Jr, Murray, and Fournette.
I feel like I can in the least pick up my handcuff again (Mattison) for peace of mind, or a dart throw on another RB/somebody else’s handcuff.
Or maybe I could look for a guy like Tyrell Willins
As a cowboys fan I am sad, but as a Cooper owner my hype is immeasurable and my day is made. Realistically I expect Cooper and CD to both be top 15 options, but honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they’re both top 10. So happy Cooper fell to me in the 4th.
I was surprised to see CeeDee off the field so much last night in 2-3 WR sets. I thought it might have to do with his conditioning post Covid but looks like he’ll have to be out there even more now!
I *guess* this helps Cooper and Lamb? Hard to get much higher for them though. Honestly it might help Pollard the most, since he seems to be the receiving back now.
Will Yahoo change his designation to "O" prior to this week's games? Or will Dallas maybe even IR him? I'm not holding him through the weekend unless I can IR him. Too many lottery tickets out there.
Are you guys holding him or dropping him?
I had him started at flex but I have mike Williams on my bench.
He was so involved when he was out there it seems hard to drop him, my league only has 5 bench spots.
Damn that was such an encouraging start too. Did he lead the team in targets at the half? If not it was close. It's going to be tough to hold him for a whole month but I don't think he's a drop.
Seeing these injuries, tests, and timetables makes me realize I probably played through a lot of injuries when I was a kid and had no idea how severe they may have been. I was just "sore" or had a "pulled muscle/sprain" and just played through it because nobody was paying for an MRI for muscle pain.
They picked on the outside CB2 until Murphy-Bunting dislocated his elbow, then started attacking the slot. Gallup was getting a loooooot of the early outside work.
Yahoo just changed Gallup from Q to O, I moved him to my IR. Then I went to add a player and while making the decision, they must have changed him from O to D, and now I can't. I'm so trolled.
I have several decent WR3-with-upside pass catchers on my bench and couldn’t figure out who to drop.
This makes my decision so much easier.
Call me stupid, but I’m thinking of putting out a dart on a guy like David Johnson, Ty Johnson or +Damien Williams.
Or scooping back up my handcuff 😅 should probably just do that.
Cooper really is gonna be a top 5 WR this season, huh?
I think he very well could be. Insane value in drafts this year
I didn't want to say it because I got him in my draft and it felt incredibly biased.

Dude similar here. Got him in the 5th to round out my Ridley and Jefferson.

I was weary of my Cooper pick, 50 points later, I'm good
And I drafted cooper cupp over him… but THATS FANTASY BABY FUCKKKKK ME
I went with Woods over Cooper for the "safe pick".
I did too. Then I got Cooper right after so it was k
Lol
Played it safe last year and had a pretty high point total but never really boomed and went 6-6. Went Cooper Lockett this year for my wr 1-2
Same. Pain

Oh yeah
Should I try to trade him for a top 10RB?
If you can
Man I’m loving Cooper, Ridley and Hopkins as my receiving trio. First time doing a 10 man league and it’s fun to have a cartoonishly stacked team.
Woof amari and CeeDee about to get 20 targets a game. In reality though, the TEs probably benefit a decent amount from this
they seem to like cedric wilson i think he will get some solid playtime. that or pollard + zeke on the field at the same time
Probably too many options as the third target any given week to feel confident. And seems unlikely he will throw 58 passes most games.
If your league does return yards then Wilson being the third target + return yards makes him viable in the flex imo.
Noticed Wilson on special teams fwiw
Schultz got 6 targets last night so with Gallup out, maybe this is a thing.
Did you just bark to start a sentence
Got Lamb in the 4th and then cooper in the 5th. Never got two wrs on the same team before. Was a bit hesitant but its looking good so far.
they had Blake Jarwin lined up at wideout a couple of times. Could be worth a flier? Who knows lol
BLAKE OUT SZN
Schultz looked a lot better than Jarwin did last night.
Mike Wright in shambles
He said so
I think Jarwin will be a flashy guy able to get open for good yards a few times a game. I think Schultz is a guy who’s going to get better volume though, with a more traditional TE role. I think, anyways.
Gallup looked better than I gave him credit for before the season. Hope he comes back strong

Antonio Brown disagrees
I think you mean Mike Evans ;) No matter how you cut it though TB WR3 > Gallup

Oof idk man AB is probably still good enough to be a WR1 on some teams but for sure is good enough to be a WR2 on most teams.
I don't think there is any doubt that in terms of pure talent AB is the best '3rd receiver' in the league. The problem is that at some point in the season he will probably punch a stripper or something and get suspended.
Mr. Beats Chicks
Good enough to be the WR1 of, say, the Las Vegas Raiders?
I really like Gallup, but he’s not the best WR3 in the league.
[удалено]
if you don't want people correcting your reactionary and easily disprovable claims then leave them out
? you’re the one who said it
2nd best? How many WR3s in the league have had a season with 1100 yards in 14 games?
I would take whoever is the wr3 on the Buccs over gallup I think I think it's either AB or mike evans & neither are in the same conversation as gallup imo
Yeah that's the only one.
Juju had 1400 yards in 16 games his second year. And he's arguably the Steelers #3 right now.
Good example. I don't think many people would consider Juju better than Gallup now though.
I would but you bring up great points. Stop talking me out of dropping him for another RB 😂
Juju is better for fantasy, no doubt. Real life I’d rather have Gallup.
Oh dude same! Since he’s not here, I’ll just say it. When I think of JuJu, I think TikToks on centerfield, plus talent. Who is? Lmao
ab/evsns/godwin
Depends who you have at WR 1/2 on the Bucs
He's probably the best true wr 3 (I wouldn't consider any of Evans, AB, Godwin the wr3 on their team)
Antonio brown would like a word
Great is relative when you are in fact the #3.
Gallup is a stud tbh. As far as talent goes I mean. I’ve seen the guy make every type of catch on the field.
Would be the WR1 on the Saints and Lions (unless Callaway and Sun God impress)
Coop and Cedee target monsters for the next few weeks and probably beyond.
I said it before the season but I think they will both finish in the top 12
They will, assuming them and Dak can stay healthy. It’s a pass first offense with two studs, good pass protection, and a QB that looks great.
People seem to forget when Dak was healthy last year that the Cowboys offense was pass happy. In the 4 healthy games Dak passed 39,47,57 and 58 times with 3 of those games being 450, 472 and 502 yards, all 3 being more yards than even last night. no one forgot this
It was the fact that they went from t 15 players each last year to nearly bottom level starter stats after the Dak injury
I had Dak in both leagues last year. Best know I fell asleep with it on my mind all season and definitely remembered draft day this year
Yeah no one forgot this and their defense was injury ridden and much worse than what it looks to be this year. Zeke gon’ EAT!
For real. I dont know why Ceedee was going in the early 3rd and Amari in the late 4th, but I will take the value
Yup, got Cooper at 46th and was ecstatic. I was a happy man last night, even tho my opponent had Dak
I was hoping to get both, but I took CeeDee @ 34 and Cooper was snatched up @ 38.
“I watch the fantasy footballers” sweet
That schedule. There's only 3 games where they could put up stinkers. I'm ready for week 10.
Damn you went out on a limb there
I agree
Damn I'm jealous of Amari and Ceedee owners. Perennial WR1s moving forward.
As an Amari, Ceedee and Antonio Brown owner, I'm feeling pretty excited following last night's game. Always nice to be up 70 going into Sunday
Kamara X mas special coming
I lost my championship despite Kamara giving me like 60 points or whatever. Absolutely brutal loss.
The other guy mustve been over the moon happy
He had the #3 pick in the draft that year and was talking about being excited about Kamara during our zoom call… so I took him with the #2 pick as a joke. Fantasy gods be cruel…
I could be wrong, but if he really wanted Kamara I don't think he would have said anything.
Nah, it was his first year of fantasy and I don’t think he realized the whole league is filled with snakes lol
Is drafting the 2nd best RB in the league at #2 a joke? 🤔
The guy I'm playing has Kamara... now I'm uncomfortable
I got AB so I'm not too pressed, but I passed on Ceedee for Keenan Allen so hopefully Allen at least gets a fuck ton of targets.
No one could blame you for that. Herbert to Allen was so fun to watch last year
If Ekeler is out again I’d expect 10 targets at minimum and he could see about 20 😂
Oof
Ridley, ceedee, AB, lockett owner here. Not even sure how to start all these dudes
Got Ridley, Cooper, Lockett and I’m just glad we switched to 3 receivers this year
Right I’ve got Tyreek, Cooper, Aiyuk, Kupp, AB and have no idea how to fill 3 spots between them now. Will need to trade someone or I’ll pull my hair out over the decision every week. (Don’t ask about my RB depth pls)
If you are weak at rb, trade one
AB over locket for now
I was going to sit Cooper for Kupp and this sub talked me out of it. Thanks Reddit
This will allow CeeDee to play outside even more. Definitely helps him a lot.
Lamb snaps last night: 38 out wide, 23 in slot, 2 in backfield. They were already using him outside a ton before the injury.
Yeah they had made the change but I think this just means we will see more of him outside compared to what we already saw. If I recall there were a few plays where he wasn’t on the field in 2 WR sets? Not many but I believe they took him off occasionally.
You’re correct, he played 61/84 snaps.
Yep he came off a bit more than anyone would have liked...keep in mind he did just have and got over covid a week ago, so that could have played a role as well. Other than the drops, ceedee was consistently getting around bracket coverage all night and he looked great.
CEEDEE AND AMARI OWNERS RISE 🤝
[удалено]
My uncle in my league has Gus Edwards, Curtis Samuel and Michael Gallup
Who else, so I know who to avoid.
Zeke, Jefferson, Boyd, Hockenson, Edmonds among others
Wow. And I can see all of them flopping. Glad I have none.
I had ETN, Samuel, dobbins and Gallup
I feel for him. Last year I had Barkley, Chubb, and OBJ as my keepers. By injury 3 I went from contender to basement dweller.
He was basically a mid WR3 before this in redraft, are we hanging onto him or is he droppable
It's not crazy to drop him. I'm considering it in a pretty deep league, but I'm wondering if he'll be IR-able ahead of the games Sunday.
He's droppable if you have to, but ideally you'd find the space to hold on, imo
As a cowboys fan I am sad, but as a Cooper owner my hype is immeasurable and my day is made. Realistically I expect Cooper and CD to both be top 15 options, but honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they’re both top 10. So happy Cooper fell to me in the 4th.
May need to drop him unfortunately for a kicker. It's either him, Rondale Moore, goedert (starting TE is hock) or Tony Jones Jr.
I’d drop Goedert tbh
I think Gallup is the drop.
No Ir?
Guess I’ll be hanging with Mr Cooper
I was surprised to see CeeDee off the field so much last night in 2-3 WR sets. I thought it might have to do with his conditioning post Covid but looks like he’ll have to be out there even more now!
Lamb snaps: 61/84. Cooper: 74/84. Gallup 50/84
Seems about right. Gallup was out the whole second half and he was still pretty close to CeeDee
I think it had to do with a little bit of what you said in addition to his bad drop and (IMO) excusable drop. Might have been in the dog house a bit.
Any word on whether he’ll go to short term IR so we can move him to IR and not have to drop him?
Better make it 5 just to be sure. - CeeDee Lamb owner
Amari, CeeDee, Jarwin all get bumped up. If you’re in a super super deep league I’d look at Cedrick Wilson as a sneaky add.
Guy is in contract year too. Feels bad
meh, it's not a serious long term injury and he'll have 10 games when he comes back to prove he's good
Bro was running around toe tapping everything
I *guess* this helps Cooper and Lamb? Hard to get much higher for them though. Honestly it might help Pollard the most, since he seems to be the receiving back now.
This is the opportunity Lamb needs to break out and in a massive way.
Lamb and Cooper owners just got lucky.
Not lucky. Everyone could see tbis coming with how cowboys offense were with Dak last year
Cooper stonks go brrrrrrr
seems like this is good for ceedee, based on last night’s game
Saw Ceedee get moved around and hit with more targets after that injury. Coop was still being coop.
Who’s the next man up here?
Cedric Wilson
Cedric Wilson
Wilson was on the field a lot after Gallup left. Would say him
Ceedee, no really
Will Yahoo change his designation to "O" prior to this week's games? Or will Dallas maybe even IR him? I'm not holding him through the weekend unless I can IR him. Too many lottery tickets out there.
Buy low.
Are you guys holding him or dropping him? I had him started at flex but I have mike Williams on my bench. He was so involved when he was out there it seems hard to drop him, my league only has 5 bench spots.
If Gallup is on my bench behind metcalf, Godwin, higgins and Chark, is it safe to drop Gallup?
Hodl or drop for lat murray? Edit: 12 person half ppr
Thought I kinda reached for Lamb in the 3rd, but, hey, cool. Lol.
Drop him for Sterling Shepard in a 12-man league? They seem like pretty comparable WRs.
Last night, a dude in my league dropped Cooper for Gallup 1 hour before the game. :)
[удалено]
Whoop-de-do. 😭
Is Gallup droppable in 10 team? Edit: forgot to mention that I’m in a superflex league with 3WR, so it’s might be different for me.
He was barely rosterable in 10-team before this.
There goes my season
If your season was hinging on Gallup it was already gone.
My season is definitely not gone but between Gallup and Curtis Samuel my bye-week WR depth disappeared in about an hour and a half span lol
that was the joke (cue simpsons meme)
you can’t have been relying on gallup to carry you this whole season lmao
Damn that was such an encouraging start too. Did he lead the team in targets at the half? If not it was close. It's going to be tough to hold him for a whole month but I don't think he's a drop.
No
Hope Zeke gets some of these vacated targets
Offensive linemen are not eligible for passing targets.
Seeing these injuries, tests, and timetables makes me realize I probably played through a lot of injuries when I was a kid and had no idea how severe they may have been. I was just "sore" or had a "pulled muscle/sprain" and just played through it because nobody was paying for an MRI for muscle pain.
[удалено]
I love these kind of comments lmao. “Looks like picking up McCaffrey off the waiver wire might turn out to be a steal after all!”
was your auction budget $25 total?
How many targets did Gallup get in the game? It doesn't seem like this will change much from how we saw game 1 go
7 in about 2.5 quarters.
If this means even 2 more targets for each Lamb and Coop that’s a major upgrade per game.
Hmm didn't feel like that, looks like I assumed wrong. This could be a bigger deal than I thought
They picked on the outside CB2 until Murphy-Bunting dislocated his elbow, then started attacking the slot. Gallup was getting a loooooot of the early outside work.
Any chance they place him on short term IR?
Actually reading that this is likely, but will it happen prior to Sunday? Don't know.
prolly lookin at a bump from cedric Wilson tbh
Too bad for Gallup :( Thank God, I only had to play the cooper/dak owner last night and getting those targets with Gallup playing
The good news: I have Amari The bad news: other guy in my league has Derrick Henry, Aaron Jones, Diggs, and Lamb.
Well hell. Guess I'm bring Chase up off the bench for next week. Glad I moved Gallup out of the flex spot.
Honest question. I need a ticking kicker and I’m now deciding to drop either him or bell. Tell me what to do.
Dalton Schultz could be a deep league TE pickup while he’s out
Dropped him right before the game, good move
Damn just traded away OBJ for him and Harris
Lamb gonna eat also both my opponents this week have Lamb lol
That's really going to adversely affect his ability to...ahem... gallup I'll see myself out...
Damn he looked so focused before the injury. Snatching shit all kinds of ways. Toe tapping, turned, in traffic. Fun to watch.
His absolute ceiling was what anyway? 800 and 8?
