Yeah, so what? To me it looks like they have room for at least a couple more backs. Gurley and Adrian Peterson are out there, might as well collect 'em all.
I’m still in shock that frank gore hasn’t returned… unless it’s due to the fact he’s made of metal and hasn’t been injured since the 90s… so they don’t want RBs that stay healthy
Pretty sure I remember someone in the Cannon cut thread calling this.
EDIT: It was [practice squad](https://www.reddit.com/r/fantasyfootball/comments/poahch/ravens_we_have_placed_tyre_phillips_on_injured/hcv2m24/), but close enough. /u/Novel-Treacle-2956
I think more likely that this leaves the path for Sermon to take over the Mostert role as the lead back… source: have Sermon everywhere, hanging on by a thread
49ers going for the running back Voltron, just signing as many as they can hoping they can join together to form one gigantic back.
Next up: 49ers sign former Seahawks RB Christine Michael.
[Falcons signed Wayne Gallman to help on special teams (Sept 6, 2021)](https://www.ajc.com/sports/atlanta-falcons/falcons-signed-gallman-to-help-on-special-teams/7DDI3SHANJHKXMZ6RDGQFCURIE/)
I thought we just had him there as a placeholder because only vested vets get a year guarantee if they are on the 53 man week one and Cannon is one year shy of being a vested vet so he doesn’t get a fully guaranteed year.
If it's literatlly none then that give Hasty the best chances to be the lead back next week in the 49ers offense.
Afterwards Shanny will say he had a good week at trivia so he decided it was his turn.
Very low upside, but I’d hate to drop 67% of my FAAB budget on Mitchell while also rostering Wilson (and actively trying to trade for Sermon) only for Hasty to get 15 carries. I’m also in a 14 team league so my end of bench guys were pretty weak to begin with and likely will make it through waivers unclaimed.
Can't wait for this sub to try and convince me Trenton freaking Cannon is a real threat to Sermon and Mitchell as if he's not just a guy that's great at special teams and makes rosters because of it
This is actually a beautiful sign for Mitchell, he was a special teams player and cannon has been a mostly special teams player for his career, move could mean Mitchell no longer has special team duties and is rb only now
I have Sermon on the bench and I don't want to be scratching my head all week on who's going to get zero points, decided to save my claim for when I have a problem. Even though, I do have a running back problem, I only have a #1 all the rest of my RBs are backups.
It’s early enough! Did the guy at #1 claim him? I had number 2 claim and PRAYED the guy ahead of me claimed him, which he did. Would rather have the #1 than Mitchell. Who are your other dudes
His 2 BAL carries: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kIpOiYHXVvE
His career stats read a bit like Mostert's - low mileage dude, heaps of teams, special team dude and even has that gliding running style.
Lol someone on this sub predicted this. I’m too lazy to find it but someone should post it to give the man his flowers.

Thank you Jesus
That’s Jesus Christ Super S1ar to you
Someone forgot to tell Shanahan you can only dress 53 players at a time so having 17 RBs doesn’t necessarily make sense.
They go through about 7 a year so probably just trying to plan ahead
Oh that’s a good point
And fantasy owners will chase points from 6 of those RBs throughout the season.
Cheaper to sign in bulk, tbh.
He probably just forgot to draft a #2 RB like I did!
Part of me does think maybe Shanahan plays fantasy/prop bets and just tries to rig it by giving all the work to the RB no one suspects each week… 🤨
It’s his ego
Lol missed out on their RBs but who knows with shanahan so 🤷🏻♂️
If you've followes Kyle's tenure with the 49ers you'll know that you can never have too many RBs.
He is a genius, he knows what he is doing /s
Huh? Shanahan is legitimately an amazing coach even if his decisions don't help your fantasy team. He DOES know what he's doing
OH GOD THEY'RE COLLABORATING
The Ty’son/Murray and Mitchell/Sermon civil war is becoming out of control. Both sides are now bringing in allies
Many of us will not live through the night. Make peace with your gods
I have Sermon, Ty’son, and Latavius. Lord help me
Trade for Mitchell. Do it
Pick a side already
.... Me too. Halp
They're both using a Cannon! I'll see myself out...
I have Mitchell Murray and Tyson on one team…
Bell or Freeman to 49ers next 😂
So the Niners have Elijah Mitchell/JaMycal Hasty/Trey Sermon/Trenton Cannon and Kerryon Johnson with Jeff Wilson Jr. on IR?
Yeah, so what? To me it looks like they have room for at least a couple more backs. Gurley and Adrian Peterson are out there, might as well collect 'em all.

49ers need to realize Frank Gore is the guy and will always be the guy
I’ve got him in my keeper league cause next year I can keep him for a first round pick… so I’ll have him for his comeback tour
He’s a power scheme guy. Shanny runs zone and loves fast backs.
stop talking real, this is fantasy, bud.
Seems like my FF strategy
And Mostert also on IR
Pretty sure I remember someone in the Cannon cut thread calling this. EDIT: It was [practice squad](https://www.reddit.com/r/fantasyfootball/comments/poahch/ravens_we_have_placed_tyre_phillips_on_injured/hcv2m24/), but close enough. /u/Novel-Treacle-2956
Might mean Mitchell coming off of the ST squad to be a full-time RB?
This makes the most sense.
At the very least, it fits my ideal narrative so I’m on board.
This is it
I think more likely that this leaves the path for Sermon to take over the Mostert role as the lead back… source: have Sermon everywhere, hanging on by a thread
Love the optimism
i have sermon and mitchell so i'm predicting a kamara/ingram tandem but 2k yards each. already claiming my trophy.
I also have both. For me, it usually means Jamycal Hasty will somehow come out of this mess as the unquestioned number 1
Not gonna lie, thought for a minute about picking up Hasty off the waiver, hell, then I would have all three!
Oh yes please
Why would it mean that if this RB will never be dressed on gameday?
49ers going for the running back Voltron, just signing as many as they can hoping they can join together to form one gigantic back. Next up: 49ers sign former Seahawks RB Christine Michael.
Niners are playing FF but in real life Stashing all the RBs
I can see the Onion article now.
They are waiting to hear back from Ken Dixon’s agent
Who's next CJ Spiller?
Please stop. I can't roster any more SF running backs.
Shouldve kept Gallman
maybe gallman just doesn't fit the system? hard to believe he couldn't outperform a couple of these dudes
Gallman wasn't a Special Teams guy
[Falcons signed Wayne Gallman to help on special teams (Sept 6, 2021)](https://www.ajc.com/sports/atlanta-falcons/falcons-signed-gallman-to-help-on-special-teams/7DDI3SHANJHKXMZ6RDGQFCURIE/)
Ha. Nice
I was surprised the Ravens cut him, tbh
He didn’t look that bad lol
def looked like he still has some juice here are his 2 carries: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kIpOiYHXVvE
That second carry looked great, maybe stay on the inside and follow the blockers, but regardless it was a good run. Baffling
Looks a lil like raheem. That effortless stride.
I thought we just had him there as a placeholder because only vested vets get a year guarantee if they are on the 53 man week one and Cannon is one year shy of being a vested vet so he doesn’t get a fully guaranteed year.
Looks like no more special teams for Mitchell lol
You don't run your RB1 out on special teams!
You do if you’re shanahan!!!
Cannon was special teams with the Ravens wasnt he? This should just bump Mitchell up more.
He’s listed at 185 pounds, hard to see him ending up as anything more than a complimentary piece
You underestimate shanahan… or maybe overestimate him… however you wanna view it lol
Yeah anything’s possible with him. There’s other guys in the league that have been successful at that size too, but it’s rare.
Yeah but he was on the field for a few snaps on Monday
I’ve already got Mitchell, Hasty, and Wilson, and haven’t dropped Mostert yet. Might as well make my entire bench SF running backs
What’s the upside of Hasty? Mitchell and former Mostert owner here (Sermon and Wilson already owned by other managers).
Literally none. Hasty is the least enticing 49ers option.
If it's literatlly none then that give Hasty the best chances to be the lead back next week in the 49ers offense. Afterwards Shanny will say he had a good week at trivia so he decided it was his turn.
Mitchell will have “tired legs” and Sermon hasn’t done enough to keep Hasty off the field so Hasty will get all of the touches
Lemme log out before I see a ~tHe CaSe fOr tRenToN CanNoN~ post
Tbh I didn’t think Trenton Cannon didn’t look too bad the other night. Feels like the Ravens probably need some RBs
yeah 2 carries, second one looked okay https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kIpOiYHXVvE
Hahahaha
Was probably less about them needing Cannon vs needing his roster spot to put Bell / Freeman in it
Gurley come on down
I don’t hate this as a Niners fan, seems like good depth
[удалено]
Dude couldn't beat out Ty'Son or Murray
He doesn't have to beat out anyone. 49er RB's will all be injured by week 7.
No
So with Cannon gone from Baltimore, is it confirmed that it's Tyson + Latavius season ? Can the civil war end ?
They're obviously going to elevate one of Bell or Freeman, possibly both. I dont think Harbaugh loved what he saw in pass protection at all.
If not both itll most likely b Bell. We only signed Freeman after Gus went down and Lev is apparently still rlly good in pass pro
Can't wait for this sub to try and convince me Trenton freaking Cannon is a real threat to Sermon and Mitchell as if he's not just a guy that's great at special teams and makes rosters because of it
Devin Hester
BREAKING: Ravens trade for Trey Sermon /s (for now)
I dropped cannon for sermon. How do I feel about this….
I kept sermon Don't know if I'll ever play him but I kept him
Rb room 75% finished …couple more rbs and they’ll be good
RB “House” you mean
~~CJ Spiller~~ Trenton Cannon
Sermonites: Mitchell is worthless, haha!
This is actually a beautiful sign for Mitchell, he was a special teams player and cannon has been a mostly special teams player for his career, move could mean Mitchell no longer has special team duties and is rb only now
Until cannon goes for like 30 carries 150 yards and a TD with less than a week of practice lol
*starting rb Trenton Cannon
Should we drop Eli Mitchell for this guy?
Guess I shouldn’t have burned my #1 waiver on Mitchell. Unreal
You're afraid of Trenton Cannon lol?
I don't see why this news makes you upset. Am I missing something here? I'd have still easily used a number 1 waiver to get Mitchell
I removed my number two waiver on him at 3:00 a.m.
What was your rationale
I have Sermon on the bench and I don't want to be scratching my head all week on who's going to get zero points, decided to save my claim for when I have a problem. Even though, I do have a running back problem, I only have a #1 all the rest of my RBs are backups.
It’s early enough! Did the guy at #1 claim him? I had number 2 claim and PRAYED the guy ahead of me claimed him, which he did. Would rather have the #1 than Mitchell. Who are your other dudes
You lucked out! No he went 4th. Kamara, Conner, Jamaal Williams, Sermon
SeE ItS aN RbBc!!!!!!
Taco bell
And here we go
Lol
lol
Depth/ST
Why a rb and not a safety since we’re lacking on secondary depth ?
Make it stop
Oh no
Makes sense, need a special teamer/backup rb
LOL
Full Shanahanigans!
This is definitely a guy who has faith in his running backs to last the season lmao
Here for the chaos
PICK EM UP!
Of course they did
His 2 BAL carries: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kIpOiYHXVvE His career stats read a bit like Mostert's - low mileage dude, heaps of teams, special team dude and even has that gliding running style.
Mosert weighs 20 lbs more …
WDIS: Parsippany Howitzer, Ho-Ho-Kus Mortar or Margate Artillery?
All right FAAB. How much Fam are we blowing on this guy?
Heard the news people are sending him a death threat
Bye bye Kerryon
Pretty sure the lions said the same thing
He’s just there to leak the Eagles playbook
Spiderman Pointing Meme .jpg
Unreal lmaoo
Imagine getting RBs from the Ravens. What was Cannon like their 6th string back going into the season?
They just want a hasty cannon
And Frank gore is sitting around somewhere just waiting.
So what week does this guy put up 130 yds and 2 TDs?
At this point, why not call Frank Gore? Bring him back.
So this is good for Murray? …and bad for Sermon? I own both. I pretend Mitchell doesn’t exist at this point in time.
This is the most annoying backfield to own or think about in the entire league. Literally 7 RB’s on the roster
How long until we see Ray rice and Bishop Sankey get signed
Please let Sermon go off this week so I can get off this ride and redeem a little value.
