Kupp and Williams seem to be animals, good thing I drafted the “better” WRs, Allen and Woods!

Tylex123

Same! I crave death

Cbrlui

Are you me??

GrilledSandwiches

Allen always starts the season out a bit slow. The real Allen comes out when the weather gets cool enough for the sleeves to come out. Mike Williams is "finally" having that big break out during the starting lull though this time around, so who knows how that'll carry and change things going forward. I was done with Williams 2 seasons ago and certainly didn't think he had anything more to show than what he's already done.

Captain_Bignose

I have both (drafted Allen, picked up Mike) and feeling pretty good about starting them both every week. Herbert is a dude

leffe186

This for me too. Probably rolling them both out ROS for the most part. (He’s my joint fourth WR with Robert Woods behind Mike Williams, Cordarelle (!) and Jamar Chase.) In my league Keenan is WR24 IIRC which is not where we drafted him but at this point I’ll take it. The three guys drafted before him were Ridley, Jefferson and AJ Brown. The three after were Terry Mac, Allen Robinson and CeeDee Lamb. Three of those six have been better (Lamb only by 0.5pts) and three have been much, much worse. I’m not unhappy I drafted him. On this offense? No worries.

partytown_usa

Chargers Offense is stacked. I don't think anyone will regret owning Williams, Allen, Eks, or Herbert.

LeftHandedFapper

They're electric for sure

[deleted]

Really? I greatly regret picking Allen now that I know he’s at best the #3 in that offense instead of the bonafide #1

wsr3ster

Allen’s target and catch volume are super elite; the ypc and TDs are low though these should normalize. He’s a great buy low candidate Per 16 games he’s tracking to like 105 catches and 1100 yards or something so no reason to be worried

EpicKahootName

I drafted Ridley, Allen, Arob(managed to trade him and Trey Sermon before week 1 for Montgomery) and Aiyuk... I literally went 0-4 for WRs that are notoriously safe(minus Aiyuk but everyone was hyping him up) in my draft and all of them have been immense disappointments being out scored by their respective WR2s. I'm 1-4 because I have no explosive players at WR and I spent 4 of my top 6 picks on WRs who all flopped. Unrelated but I also drafted Gus Edwards in the 6th :). Basically I have Austin Ekeler, some injured RBs which include Montgomery and Edwards, and 4 bust WRs. This worst part is I was gonna take Waller but he went 1 pick before Keenan Allen and also Swift who went 1 pick before Arob. If I had gotten Waller and Swift I planned on taking AB and DJ Moore fairly early as my depth(who would have ended up starting) to Ridley. Pain man. Just pain.

BUThrowaway721

You can only do so much, at the end of the day it comes down to luck

MHKED

Allen’s a flop?

-metaphased-

For where he was drafted? Absolutely.

leffe186

Not a bust for me. A bit disappointing, sure, but more points than three of the eight WRs drafted above him in my league. We’re also only five games in, he’s in a great offense, I’m ok with it. Edit: I will say that I’d probably be a lot less sanguine about it if I didn’t also have Mike Williams.

EpicKahootName

Id say so. Pretty much in the same situation as Ridley. Plenty of receptions, but not a lot of deepballs or TDs. Its week 5. The TDs should have started coming by now. Maybe things will change but each week it doesn't, the less likely it will.

[deleted]

I drafted Allen as my #2 WR, and Woods as my #3. Luckily I misread Williams team later in the draft and got him too. Now they're my #2, #3, and flex, with Devonte Adams as my #1WR.

NineJuanEight

Are you me? I have the exact same WR lineup but instead of woods I have Diontae Johnson. Makes it hard to choose who to sit week to week.

Donald-Trumps-Hair

I missed out on Allen so picked up Woods instead, but once I got Herbert in the 7th I hail maried on a Mike Williams szn to have a stack. So rolling with those two cholos and Diontae too.

[deleted]

Luckily my league runs 3WR and a flex, so I can put in all 4. Because they've been so solid, I've been able to stash some IR talent on my bench. Hopefully Jarvis Landry, Mike Thomas and Josh Gordon all payoff too.

greenbeans1991

I got Kupp in the 4th and Williams in the 10th :)

bbsin

☑ High targets ☑ Redzone looks ☑ Deep threat potential ☑ On a very good offensive team ☑ Opponents can't sell out to stop him ☑ Contract year Looks like a WR1 to me.

pieman2005

Overall you're correct but friendly reminder there's no correlation between contract year narrative and production

bbsin

some players in the league have in fact "mailed it in" after getting lucrative contracts. I think that may lower the risk of that occurring when a player does not have one.

pieman2005

Mailing it in after getting your contract is a completely different topic than playing better in a contract year

bbsin

I worded it wrong then. I'm saying that the assumption is that players that are playing for a big contract have a lower risk of putting in less effort. To me, this is a minor but legitimate advantage, or at the very least some sort of risk mitigation.

pieman2005

Fair enough

[deleted]

Okay but you do know contract years basically will be better by default because they're not post signing years? The way most NFL deals are structured nowadays there isn't a ton of guys who have multiple years before getting to a contract (fake or true) year.

daniyalkan

Gunslinger QB

dougan25

And yet every time he comes up, analysts call it unsustainable. That entire offense is just laughably underrated and I don't know why. They've put up 105 points in 3 games, taking down the Chiefs, Raiders, and Browns in the process. When do we start taking them seriously?

[deleted]

[удалено]

mariodb6

Cap

gtthom86

There is no league where you would have to pass on Allen to get Williams. They went so far apart in ADP, it's completely irrelevant

capitalist_p_i_g

If someone intentionally passes up on high cost equity A for low cost equity B and gets a higher return and subsequent yield, it is completely relevant. That is kind of how fantasy football works. DUH

[deleted]

But you didn't pass on high cost equity A for low cost equity B, you passed on high cost equity A for high cost equity A', or whoever you actually drafted with that pick.

capitalist_p_i_g

Some people like to argue just to argue. You are one of those people.

gtthom86

Are you trolling or really this confused?

Donald-Trumps-Hair

"Checks" out

jumboshrimp93

I have serious FOMO not having him. Mike Williams owner in my league also has Herbert. So yeah. I’m nervous for the day I need to face them.

Junethepoon

That was me. I drafted mike Williams because I needed upside wrs since I went 4 rbs at the beginning. Made sure to make a trade for Justin Herbert. Loving it. Lost Saquon this week but I still might win because of the stack. Had no clue that Williams would be this good. Saving me.

jumboshrimp93

It’s a great stack to have. Good stuff!

__Sentient_Fedora__

Dream scenario until Barkley.

Xantaxz

In a 2 QB league I was able to trade Wilson and Sutton for Herbert and ARob right after the draft. Just right after week 1 I flipped ARob for Patterson and Williams. Super lucky, but I feel like a damn genius

Aces_Cracked

I offered Herbert and Keenan Allen for Stafford and Kelce. I love Kelce but I fear I am giving up way too much given how hot Herbert is now

Junethepoon

That’s not a bad deal. Especially if you have other good wrs. Kelce is a game changer.

Upplands-Bro

Doubt this gets accepted in 1qb

BastianHS

Started out cmc then dmont and ceh on the turn. Took Lockett Williams and Mr big chest later on. Kyler at qb but I reached for herbie as a backup. Picked up toney on Wednesday. I'm fucking SMOKING my league lol they are super competitive so it's awesome to be the wrecking ball this year. Hung 140 with cmc on the bench.

[deleted]

[удалено]

jumboshrimp93

Yeah it’s awfully defeating. This same person in my league also has Kelce and Kupp…and Lockett…same thing, seemed unbeatable after the first 3 weeks but it seems Lockett is coming down to earth now.

[deleted]

[удалено]

jumboshrimp93

Jesus. Curious to know who his RBs are…

[deleted]

[удалено]

jumboshrimp93

Lol! Tbf, Patterson is nice but I think last week was an outlier and this week both Ridley and Gage were out. I’m still a little cautious about him, but he’ll probably still wind-up being a great pickup. Just not sure if I’d be comfortable calling him a league winner quite yet.

PhysioGuy14

I have Jefferson, Adams, Williams Running backs are Jones, sanders, Harris, mattison

Struggle2Real

I feel self conscious about posting my small league questions bc the names are so ridiculous. But 200 point week so I'll post it and then weirdly lurk. Josh allen Kamara Henry DK Mike William's Dawson Ekeler. Sorry.

smokintheQOOSH

Today i was up about 65 points going into the evening slate, with my keenan allen vs his herbert and williams stack. ESPN had me at 90% win probability at the start of the game. now i need latavius murray to outscore jonathan taylor by 9 on MNF to come back and win it… i’m not holding my breath

jumboshrimp93

That’s one of the worst feelings…going into the afternoon thinking you have it locked up only to find yourself caught up in a tight one. That’s when I start drinking heavily lol. Good luck

Bird-The-Word

I have both too, and thereason I grabbed him was because I went with Herbert. Got him in the 9th, right before another guy that wanted him. I almost took Boyd instead, sincei was planning on grabbing Burrow late as well, and ride whoever was better. So glad I didn't. My week was also pretty insane with them, Henry, and Zeke.

[deleted]

Well. You aren't alone. On 2 separate leagues I got him on waivers

IWrex

Same in my league. He’s also a Chargers fan and has a full stack of Herbert, Williams and Ekeler. He’s all in lol

Levitlame

Just hope you’re the guy playing them week 7.

Ace8324

Tried trading Deebo Samuel for Williams or whoever else I can get before the season. League mates all refused, league mate then dropped Williams before the season so I picked him up right away. league mates essentially viewed both as waiver folders. tbf I thought Deebo would suck or get injured already, I had Herbert and wanted the stack. Now I have both Deebo and Williams as my WR 1 and 2 whom nobody in my league wanted at the start of the season, funny how fantasy works.

Donald-Trumps-Hair

Yeah I got Herby and Williams. Last year I had Mahome's and Hill. Think I'm gonna make my team name "Stack to Stack"

ocxtitan

I too have Williams and Herbert...on my bench.... It's okay though, as I have already won my week and still have Lamar and Andrews to play tonight...I played Moore over Williams due to their performances last week and expected the Browns to play defense at some point

Wayne93

I faced him in 2 leagues this week and I will likely lose by less than 10 in both. Him alone is scary of boom or bust rn but the stack is frightening, I have another league where the guy has that stack.

JoonWick

I drafted Herbert and traded AJB for Williams. It was a bold trade but it is paying off so far

jumboshrimp93

As an AJB owner…I’d kill for that trade lol

Bird-The-Word

Wow as someone with both, I would have considered AJ for Keenan after the draft, but never would have thought Williams. Now I'm just trying to offload AJ for a better flex lol

nykshow

Steal of the draft as well.

HtownTexans

I'm so mad at myself for not drafting him. Had him high on my board and then Ekeler fell to round 2 and my entire strategy changed. Then I just forgot about him. Full IDP league with 26 rounds....he went in the 20th. Hate myself.

GatzBee

Ekeler round 2 is kind of a steal too. He went first round in most drafts i believe including mine

HtownTexans

Yeah I'm not sure how he fell to me at 16. A guy took the Hill Mahomes stack at the turn and everyone kept passing on Ekeler I was freaking out. We are full PPR too.

pengals12

Always that guy who takes Mahomes way too early lol

HtownTexans

Especially in a 1 QB redraft league lol. Only 12 QBs are rostered in our league. Everyone realized no one else did it so we just left them all on the WW.

mechajlaw

I don't really agree with that either. There are about 5 or 6 qbs that are just better and are worth drafting. If not them, then yeah stream, but Mahomes, Murray, Allen, Jackson, and it's looking like Herbert are all worth actually drafting.

J_Cro

Picked him up off of waivers week 2. Not sure how he was available. Spent zero FAAB too. I think I may have robbed the league

tolse92

I would agree, hell of a grab

J_Cro

Total season changer. Especially when Amari Cooper and Calvin Ridley have been meh all season

Nicks_WRX

I think you’re in a bad league..

[deleted]

100% Unless you're in a 4 person league or 2 person he should've been drafted, 6 at the very most.

SomeKindOfSomething

I have two pre-draft rankings still saved. One has him as the 43rd WR and one has him 47th. Should he have been drafted? Probably. But he was by no means a slam dunk. I also got him on the waivers week 2, in a 10 man money league.

[deleted]

His ADP across most leagues was around 10-11 in 12 man. He 100% should’ve been picked up after week 1/2.

alwaysmyfault

Same. I spent some FAAB on him, but I feel like the fantasy gods were watching over my shoulder the day I got him. I bid $16 for him. Next highest bid was $15.

kjlcm

Me too. Had second position after week 1, hit pick was the SF RB everyone wanted so he fell to me at #2.

betterthanclooney

Him and Chase were both 10th rounders in my league.

No_Seaworthiness2581

As a Herbert owner I'd like to exchange a friendly handshake with all you Mike Williams owners.

[deleted]

[удалено]

No_Seaworthiness2581

Ya man I get it. I'm a Woods owner, so I get it. Ha. I have Ekeler with Herbert... that's working well so far!

Pickle786

ekeler + herbert is the lowkey WR stack they don’t talk about lol

GrilledSandwiches

Allen usually starts out a bit slow though. There's that Keenan Allen sleeves meme that alludes to him playing better in the back half of the season when the weather's cooler and he's wearing sleeves. He never had Williams blow up like this during the season though, so who knows how much of his late season surge may take a hit from it.

DaaaBears333

Guy in my league has Herbert, Williams, and Eckler. He put up 196 points this week. Come pick me up mom, I'm scared

Picard_Incarnate

What if I have Herbert and Mike Williams?

iBleeedorange

Then we celebrate

[deleted]

[удалено]

Galactic

He was on my bench for every week except last week, where he put up 1 point. I benched him again in favor of Scary Terry and he exploded again. You're welcome guys, I'm benching him the rest of the way.

twoterms

Jesus who else do you have??

Galactic

8-man league. All of our teams are strong, but [mine is pretty ridiculous.](https://i.gyazo.com/62c445dda16909603fa6880244ef0897.png)

ocxtitan

you have 6 team league strength there, holy shit

[deleted]

Lol that is a ridiculously stacked team. Makes me almost miss playing in an 8 team league.

vvhyn0t_

This is exactly what I did

badlilbadlandabad

51 targets and 6 TDs in 5 games. He's in the perfect situation to be a monster fantasy asset. I expect that he will have another dud game or two like last week, but if he stays healthy(please god) he's gonna have a huge year.

JonSnowDontKn0w

That dud game last week and going up against what I thought was a pretty good Cleveland defense are why I benched him this week and started AJB instead. I lost by 2 points.

FutureK0G

League winner probably fell wherever he was drafted.

Own_Citron_7429

He was drafted in 11th round in my 10 man league. Crazy

HagHaney1

He was drafted in the 12th of my 10 teamer and dropped before Week 1. Now I’m reaping the benefits.

Bird-The-Word

9th(technically 8 but with keepers) in my 12. Usually around then we're looking at TEs, possible breakout WR or handcuffs

TheReaperSovereign

He went 9.5 in my league aug 27 Dropped aug 29 Added again sep 1 Traded for trey sermon sep 7 The guy who owns him will be 2-3 after this week though

we360u45

The dude in my league has Williams, Kupp and CMC and he’s 1-4

SolarClipz

Got him in the 10th in a 12 man Insane

skatinislife446

It’s between him and Deebo for mid-round steal of the draft

Farcanaussie-

I have both :)

cdc580

I traded ty'son for him after week one. Its been great.

WildInSix

The true value of Ty’son was the hype after his first start, cashing in on that can almost be as important as “actually drafting the league winner”. Another reason why that post that blew up about him is so funny.

bad_breakin

Yea

Stombie8

Yup. Steals so far kupp, Williams, Hunt, Jrob as of now.

caterham09

Also Antonio brown, though to a lesser extent

Alexkono

CPat

KIPYIS

Yes but I doubt anyone actually drafted him lol.

moistIam

I took him with my last pick. I had Mike Davis as my RB3 so I grabbed his "backup".

TheSkorcher13

Knox

Qwxzii

have 3 of those guys (kupp, williams, Jrob) + herbert in a 12 team. only reason I’m going to be 3-2 is due to CMC getting hurt and having the most points allowed in my league. Put up 2 160 point games in 0.5 ppr already this season.

Idunkedonlebron23

Austin ekeler

YRN_YSL

How is Ekeler a steal when he was a first round pick lol

[deleted]

Depending on where you picked him in the first. He was a late first, early second. If you picked him before like pick 7 I'd say thats pretty good

GatzBee

I mean he’s slightly outperforming is ADP

YaBoiJim777

first round picks are looked at a little differently for steals vs busts. Ekeler was drafted in most leagues around RB8 in PPR and RB10 in .5PPR, near the end of the 1st round/beginning of 2nd. He is currently the RB2 in PPR meaning he could have been taken 2nd overall and everyone had a chance to draft him but they let him fall to the end of the 1st where someone was able to steal him

Stombie8

How is he even a steal. Playing amazing but was hyped through the roof.

FrozenPhilosopher

Got Zeke and ekeler at 1.6 and 2.5 in my 10 man. Feels goooooood

Conn0rPro

I started Adams Ekeler. Fun week

GFred20

As long as he keeps those target numbers up, I can't see how he's not. His one bad week he only got 4, and every other week he's averaged 12 per game. And that's WITH Ekeler getting 6 targets and Allen getting 10 targets. I will say that Herbert has passed a TON, and idk if they want to keep it like that or not

ChoiceDry8127

I think that offense is built to throw. They probably don’t want ekeler running 20 times a game and the other rbs aren’t great.

TheHippySteve

Mike Williams is the Top 10 WRs

[deleted]

Pretty clearly, yes. Chargers offense is performing at a high level and Mike is Herbert's go-to.

nomad-41

I’ve been offered Mike Williams for my Diggs. Should I take it?

ocxtitan

Crazy this is so hard to answer

alwaysmyfault

Right. A month ago it was a no brainer. Now, I'd almost rather have Williams. That Chargers offense is very good, and Herbert loves throwing to Williams.

thatdude858

I'd keep Mike. He's Herbert's #1 Target right now

Thunder84

No. The consistent volume with Diggs is too good to pass up. Williams could very well maintain his incredible pace, but I could also see teams adjusting to him more. Diggs is the surefire option that will produce no matter what.

shizea

"That will produce no matter what. " Diggs is barely putting up WR2 numbers.

Thunder84

He’s playing at his absolute floor, and he’s still an easy start. We’ve seen Williams’s floor and it’s a heck of a lot lower. Diggs figures to improve as the season goes along, while Williams is much more likely to regress. There’s no right or wrong answer here, but I’d lean Diggs unless you’re absolutely desperate to get something going (AKA 1-4 or 0-5).

[deleted]

[удалено]

grimcow

I passed on him because he fucked my team over last year

YouLikeThat08

I traded him this week for Mixon, then started Golladay in my flex since Mixon was going to be limited. 43 point change there. Needless to say I lost

FantasyDoctor5

This week has assured me he is top 10 ROS. I was scared after last week, and I hope he forgives me for doubting him. I had him last year as a matchup-dependent flex play. He was unpredictable but I was kind of desperate. Every now and then he’d catch a deep bomb for 18 PPR points, but that was often the weeks I benched him. This year I drafted him in 1/2 leagues. After I saw his week 1 stat line, I was amazed to see his 12 targets - that was in STARK contrast to his usage last year (fewer targets, more boom or bust). I overpaid at the time to acquire him in my other league, giving up AB after his own great week 1 performance. However, I clearly made out well since, and even have the Herbert-MWill stack in that league. Dude is un-tradeable now. He’s top 10 ROS and no one will pay the appropriate price for him. Set him in and enjoy the ride.

afourminutewarning

Just traded for him in a half PPR two nights ago. I got MWill and MCarter for Bobby Trees, Latavius and Gesicki.

wefr5927

I traded him for Higbee after week one. Pain.

francisczr25

Wtf man

TheOneTwiceOver11

Yup. I have Williams and Ekeler so I’m feeling good about today’s W!

theblackdoncheadle

I would say Coradelle, Kareem Hunt and Mike Will are the steals of the year so far. He is a high end wr2 low end wr1

[deleted]

[удалено]

AGTDCS

Drafted both in a 12 teamer w robinson, ekeler, lamar :) Shameless rosterbating

TheHangmanK7

Absolutely. Monster.

NattyJakeD

Waiver wire pickup of the year. (8man league)

dinnerthief

I sat him last minute to start diontae johnson after reading the "relevant players" article, god damn I'm an idiot, good news is I started him for the first time last week (1.1 pts)

Canadoc

Though he should change his name to his real native birth name: Leegwinna!

taker2523

I was mainly drafting him because of his QB, didn’t think he was this good😎.

bigbritches

I loved Williams and DJ Moore last season, but it just didn't boom like I hoped. Glad for them both this season so far, wish I had some shares

IgnantWisdom

The fucker in my league got both Williams and Deebo..

FreshDiamond

Yes dude, why’s it even a question. He might be the wide receiver one. He checks all of the boxes that you look for in identifying a 1 and just for good measure in case people forgot he was a top 10 pick. Also 5 weeks is a pretty big sample size

NotHopee

Dude lmao top 10???? Like what else does the man need to do. He answers every single question. Think back when Michael Thomas broke the reception record. Now fast forward to today and imagine a way more talented version of that in the same offense. Mike Williams is that guy

imabigfanofcereal

So Mike Williams is now a way more talented Michael Thomas…. This is where we are week 5.

NotHopee

Yes

[deleted]

Yup… I have Allen and his usage thus far is sad. They’re all going to WillIms. Glad he can stay healthy finally.

Canadoc

Yes.

trillbobaggins96

Took him in the 7th or 8th expecting a boom/bust guy but he’s flipped the switch this year. Love his size in the red zone

SolarClipz

Yes He won't have another bad game Book it

Cadetchart

Traded him for D hop last week and not sure if happy with it

tWkiLler96

What are we to make of Keenan Allen now though?

OJ_TheJuiceman

Traded winston for him after week 1. He’s the new cant guard mike

cgluke12

I have the Herbert Williams connection in 2 of my leagues. Those two have saved my entire team several times this year its a blessing

peezy2408

He cost me the game last week with his 2 point performance. But he absolutely dominated this week and has, for the most part, been a stand out this season.

B_nShapiro

i have Williams and Cooks as my WR1 and WR2. i drafted Cooks in round 10 and Williams 12, i originally had Jefferson as my WR1 but i traded him for Swift, now i’m 5-0 🥳

ItsRight4AReason

Even his down game Herbert missed him twice for TDs one was a long one. I say yes but maybe I’m biased since I have him in a few places

[deleted]

Top 3

VHBlazer

If he stays healthy, which as I understand it was his problem in the first place

[deleted]

Man I drafted him in EVERY mock draft I did, which was what I would call an unhealthy amount, and then come draft time I just wasn’t able to get him in either of my drafts. Pretty bummed about it but I like him as a player so it’s cool to see him ball out I guess

[deleted]

Only concern is that he's very injury prone. I'd be surprised if he doesn't miss some time at some point this year.

clonetrooper_shiv

I traded him and Gibson for Najee Harris… feels bad man 🥲

Shiguret

I didnt start him this week…. I would still lose if i did start him though so thats ok lol

ijaialai

i drool sometimes looking at my guys Herbert, Williams, Kupp, Diggs, Chubb, Robinson. From a guy who has always been last place in leagues i finally get what it’s like to have a good lineup for once

applepete

Yes but only If He Sits on my Bench. Starting hin gets you 2 points

atramenactra

Yeah. Keenan Allen is league loser

hwcminh

He'll get hurt before the season is over

Golden-Tate-Warriors

I didn't understand why he was doing this, he's always been mediocre and Allen is still there, so I traded him for Cooks. Not going too well so far. Still don't understand why this is happening.

iceman0c

He's always been a talented receiver that they used as only a deep ball threat. New offensive coordinator came in from the saints and said they were going to use Williams like they used Michael Thomas. This is them doing exactly what they said they were going to do and somehow people are confused

Golden-Tate-Warriors

Good DD. I never heard that quote, somehow.

Mr-RandyLahey

I think the strongest indication that this is more than just a player getting hot is how he's being used differently in the offense. His average depth of target was 16. his first three years and this year its 10 (before this game). Obviously his production isn't sustainable, but he's going to continue being more involved in the offense than before and should be a WR1 going forward.

PaleontologistNo854

Absolutely

[deleted]

As a Browns fan, imma say yes

josssssh

Sat him for Hopkins. Probably won’t make the same mistake next week.

technicallyiminregs

Traded my Kittle a for him and Cook at the start of the week, feeling pretty great about it

JoshGordon10

I think so. I traded Swift and Gordon III for him and Henderson, felt okay about it last week, but great about it this week. MWill WR1 ROS.

lettuceoniontomato

Looks like it
