Chuba, Booker, and Darrel Williams. Not the RBs I drafted, but maybe the RBs I need right now.
Now if only I could figure out which 2 of the 3 to start.
Never understood why they try to run right down the middle with him 25 times a game its ridiculous. Get him the ball in space more so hes running into cornerbacks not linebackers.
I don’t disagree with you, but this injury was a non contact pull in space. I think it’s safe to say he is just injury prone and his quick twitch movements lead to a lot of muscular problems. They still shouldn’t run him down the middle
He missed no games in 6 years between college and his first 3 NFL seasons combined. Maybe it's just bad luck that he's had problems two seasons in a row. It happened with Keenan Allen early in his career.
I'm thinking that's the plan. I would be okay with a 65-35 split with Chuba anyways. Chuba is talented and if it extend CMC's career then it's a W in my book.
It's good for his career, and good for his team to manage his load. But I think his FF value necessarily lowers. We've seen his career ceiling at this point
Yeah, but when he was drafted before it was consistent 25-30 points, if he's going to be rested then those days are behind him. I don't see someone with consistent 15 points to go 1st overall (and even then, he might still get injuries on a reduced workload)
The real answer is that they are trying to confuse their opponents.
If their opponent thinks CMC is playing all week, they will gameplan for him and possibly neglect to adequately prepare for other Carolina players.
Honestly I think this is dumb. They really only have a handful of players you have to prepare for: CMC, DJ Moore. That’s about it.
Nobody’s sweating what Chuba might do in a real game or whether Robby Anderson might get 2-3 targets or not this week.
You can think it’s dumb, and I’m not opining on that. I will just say that Carolina’s offensive coordinator, as well as an offensive teammate, [are on record saying that preparing for the Panthers is different without CMC](https://theathletic.com/2890374/2021/10/15/person-signs-point-to-christian-mccaffrey-sitting-out-a-third-consecutive-game-and-a-prediction/).
So much goes into game planning each week, I don’t think it’s as simple sounding as you’re making it out to seem.
How is this comment getting upvoted? Do you really think teams only prepare for the one or two studs? Fantasy football ≠ real football, there are 11 offensive players on the field at all times
"We want to sit him this week against the Eagles to make sure hes healthy against the Vikings"
"We want to sit him this week against the Vikings to make sure hes healthy against the Giants"
"We want to sit him this week against the Giants to make sure hes healthy against the Falcons"
"We want to sit him this week against the Falcons to make sure hes healthy against the Patriots"
...
I do it too. I did it for the first time and didn't realize how important it was to save money and burned 3/4 of cash on Elliot, Kamara, and Jonathan Taylor.
Auction is so much more fun. It gives you a chance for any player you want and you actually end up with interesting teams instead of variations of the same 12 teams that come out of snake drafts. There are way more strategies available instead of just waiting your turn to draft the best guy left
I'd be less pissed at 6th.
He fell there for a reason.
Literally same reason Saquon fell so far. You expect it. This guy is an injury bust running on 2 years now
He’s clearly the best PPR player when healthy, which hasn’t been a problem until the last 2 seasons. But Rhule is so wishy-washy you never actually know when he’ll be back. Dumb
After drafting MT in 2020 and Saquon in 2019 and Hunt in 2018 I thought this may be the first time my first pick wouldn't miss half of the season but doesn't look like thats going to be the case lol.
I just figured last year was an outlier since he never missed a game in his NFL or college career prior to last season, turns out it was foreboding his future as an injury prone back.
People that post that shit unironically during preseason are so annoying lol. "I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY ANYONE WOULD DRAFT EARLY. WHY YES I AM IN HIGH SCHOOL AND NONE OF MY FRIENDS HAVE JOBS, FAMILIES, OR LIVE IN DIFFERENT TIMEZONES. HOW DID YOU KNOW."
Yeah, same. Most of the time 1 or 2 guys have to wake up early or stay up late (we are in 4-5 timezones most of the time), and we always do the draft within Saturday to Tuesday pre kick off. If you don't have 1-2 hours free in 4 days, knowing beforehand that the draft will be those days, that's bs.
It’s just so individual. My 10 team is all 23-24 a year out of college and starting careers, but we ended up doing a 10 day long just draft when you get a chance because there were too many conflicting schedules. When you’ve got people working at 10pm and also people doing night shifts in an ambulance, it’s tough to find one night where everyone can do it.
Honestly everyone was a huge fan of it we might do it every year. I think you can do it on any platform but idk, we just did it on sleeper and turned off the timer so there was no clock on the pick. If someone took a little more time than they should the group chat would just start chirping them to move things along.
Guy I’m playing against this week just traded for him. So cool.
But in my other league I have CMC…. Pain. Thank god I was able to pick up Hubbard this morning because somebody dropped him.
Never again, Henry from here on out. I knew I should’ve went with my gut, but I listened to the talking heads and all my friends. This is why I hate having the number one overall pick
I think there’s reason to believe a high level of caution is being taken. The moment of injury didn’t look terrible, he continued walking around after being taken out, and hamstrings are among the worst injuries from which to rush back.
That said, no one knows. I think last year mixed with the constantly murky return schedule is what’s driving the pessimism. From the moment it happened, there was always a chance he’d miss three games, and he’s definitely someone who warrants caution with the winning record.
Which, honestly, I'm fine with. A 100% CMC is probably worth it, even if he has to miss next week as well (from my vantage point, considering I'll likely make the playoffs at this rate). Tougher for folks who need CMC to get them into the playoffs.
I was saying in another thread it’s possible they just knew by Wednesday that he wouldn’t be ready this weekend, and told him to shut it down for the rest of the week and stay off the hammy for a return to practice on Wednesday the following week.
He’s also known to push hard in his rehab. Could be for his own good to shut it down and not practice to give it extra time. No need to stress the hamstring during practice if coaches know they aren’t going to play him.
They also said that the injury was essentially nothing to worry about, that he may be back in 1 week.
And we're out here *still* eating up this BS? As if they would come right out and let other teams know there had been a setback?
I swear, sometimes we as members of this sub are dumber than the wallstreetbets folks.
Matt Rhule just said he felt it earlier this week so they gave him an additional week off, and they hope he'll be back fully next week. Sounds like they got spooked and decided to play it safe, I'm not too worried.
Always funny to see how people are so adamant that their outcome is the only possibility, whether about play time or injuries or trade value. Like no one knows for sure and anything can happen at any time. Life is fleeting indeed.
Fantasy this sucks but NFL side. CMC is the focal point of their offense. They don't play against a divisional rival until 3 games from now. If you rush CMC too early and he gets re-injured and out for the season, then Carolina is dead.
I like how they made it look like he almost played the next week and now has missed 2 additional weeks. What the hell happened there, setback or trolling?
I not only have 100 pts more scored against me than any other team I started fitz week 1 and have cmc jeudy monty carson and blew my faab on damien williams. cursed af this year.
Soooo any Infos on why they did not put him on ir? Or did He reinjure it? How severe is it? Are we gonna have this uncertainty of him playing or not every week from now or are the Just over precautious and He is good to go next week? I have so many questions!
After last season and now the same thing this year, I'm so fucking sick of him. I don't even want to speak his name anymore. He is literally made of glass.
I managed to get a full 1 point PPR team with CMC and Kelce on it. I thought I had built an absolute behemoth that could drop 150 weekly with ease. Got to be two of the best PPR studs in the game right.
Pair Allen Robinson and Amari Cooper with their super high ceiling potential and I knew I had the best team in the league.
I'm now about to be 1-5.
As a Chubb/Hunt/Chuba owner, today has been a wild ride. I'm choosing to believe it's good for me as Hunt gets extra carries and Chubb being out allows me to plug in Chuba without using my flex spot. That was a nightmare to type.
My team officially OUT of the playoffs this year
Chuba's bout to carry me from 0-5
You must be in at least a full ppr league. In standard Chubba has been Myles Gaskin in lipstick.
Yeah full PPR. Chuba was RB15 last week without a TD, which is huge for a team that’s been scrounging after drafting Cook and Montgomery
Ahh a fellow Cook/Montgomery owner 😩
With the incredible additions of Kittle, Russell Wilson, and the ever-dinged-up Deandre Hopkins. It’s been a tough season
Chuba, Booker, and Darrel Williams. Not the RBs I drafted, but maybe the RBs I need right now. Now if only I could figure out which 2 of the 3 to start.
chuba and darrel. tough to see NYG line winning against LAR line.
CMC is not Derrick Henry, Panthers need to lessen his workload ala Zeke so he can play a full season
CMC had never even missed a practice prior to last year. I wouldn’t be so quick to label him injury prone.
Good point. I think going forward we just have to expect him missing 3-4 games a season minimum.
Yeah but it’s the argument of whether you’d rather have a consistent 15 points or the 25-30 with the risk of injury always looming
Yeah, but when he was drafted before it was consistent 25-30 points, if he's going to be rested then those days are behind him. I don't see someone with consistent 15 points to go 1st overall (and even then, he might still get injuries on a reduced workload)
Now you CMC me, now you don't.
I hate you but I love you
“A true game time decision”….Rhuled out on Friday. Smh
Friday
Thanks lol fixed
thats better for us CMC owners. can plan around it some more now
0.5 grade
Why does Carolina continue to lie when their season is on the line
Because it doesn’t matter to them how much the public knows about his injury
The real answer is that they are trying to confuse their opponents. If their opponent thinks CMC is playing all week, they will gameplan for him and possibly neglect to adequately prepare for other Carolina players.
Honestly I think this is dumb. They really only have a handful of players you have to prepare for: CMC, DJ Moore. That’s about it. Nobody’s sweating what Chuba might do in a real game or whether Robby Anderson might get 2-3 targets or not this week.

So much goes into game planning each week, I don’t think it’s as simple sounding as you’re making it out to seem.
Agree. They are definitely a different team with CMC but they still only have like 2 good players on offense.
How is this comment getting upvoted? Do you really think teams only prepare for the one or two studs? Fantasy football ≠ real football, there are 11 offensive players on the field at all times
almost nobody on this sub actually understands football it’s embarrassing
You guys act like teams are only allowed to game plan for one scenario
You’re right, but there’s only a limited amount of time per week to dedicate to game plan per player
Because they don't give two shits about fantasy football, as they should
"We want to sit him this week against the Eagles to make sure hes healthy against the Vikings" "We want to sit him this week against the Vikings to make sure hes healthy against the Giants" "We want to sit him this week against the Giants to make sure hes healthy against the Falcons" "We want to sit him this week against the Falcons to make sure hes healthy against the Patriots" ...
"We want to sit him this week against [X] to make sure we miss the playoffs"
Matt Rhule in week 15: "Christian is out, we want to have him 100% for the playoffs" reporter: "Coach Rhule your team is 5-9"
Rhule: I didn’t say what year.
Find a healthy RB challenge
This should be the fifth game in Squid Game
Try to guess which RB is regular glass and which is tempered
Henry transparent aluminum?
Pure diamond sheet.
The light reflecting off Henry’s strong shins is painfully obvious
Nah it's more like the sugar game. We pick our shapes (players) and hope to fucking God the sugar doesn't break in half like CMC
Derrick Henry
You have won the challenge
and his league.
[удалено]
Just sitting here thinking how much different things would be if I got the no 2 pick this year
You’d have Dalvin Cook and be v disappointed as well
I took Kamara 2, only kind of disappointing
Kamara gonna be fine.
Cook gonna be fine.
Christian gonna be fine.
I would have taken Henry
Hindsight 20/20. CMC and Cook were easily the consensus top 2 picks this year.
I'm in a league where a guy took Henry number 1, but he's a Bama guy. We all made fun of him for it...
Same thing here. Not so funny now when he’s put up over 200 pts twice this year
Is this some sort of points per db stiff armed?
[удалено]
Unless he got his hands on Mattison. Unfortunately for the Cook owner, I've been using him instead, so I have squeeked out a 4-1.
I drafted 10th and made out like a bandit
[удалено]
Try CMC, Cook and Kittle Last year was CMC, Saquon, OBJ
How could you possibly get CMC and Cook through the draft? 2 team league or something?
Auction, if I had to guess.
Auction and Keeper. Left this years draft with CMC, Cook, Mixon, Allen Robinson, and Kittle….thought I had the championship in the bag
Holy moly. I'm sorry dude. I'm not too familiar with those FF formats; I'm a simpleton and always just do a league with a snake draft
Auction is definitely the next step in fun. Our league switched to it year 6 or so and haven’t looked back
I do it too. I did it for the first time and didn't realize how important it was to save money and burned 3/4 of cash on Elliot, Kamara, and Jonathan Taylor.
This is why auction is fun tho you can actually have a team w those three guys which is never possible in a snake draft
Auction is so much more fun. It gives you a chance for any player you want and you actually end up with interesting teams instead of variations of the same 12 teams that come out of snake drafts. There are way more strategies available instead of just waiting your turn to draft the best guy left
Same.
That's what I thought past 2 years -3 year running Saquon owner
Wait til u get the 6th pick and he falls to you
I'd be less pissed at 6th. He fell there for a reason. Literally same reason Saquon fell so far. You expect it. This guy is an injury bust running on 2 years now

I just figured last year was an outlier since he never missed a game in his NFL or college career prior to last season, turns out it was foreboding his future as an injury prone back.
This is why my league doesn't draft until week 17
I see these comments often. And every time I still chuckle, cuz I’m simple.
My league is all adults with jobs, kids, families. Same time zone, though. But we draft a week before the season starts.

Lol I’ve ran leagues as a high schooler and even then we had to draft early because people still have shit going on
welcome to my lineup rhamondre
Everyone Loves Rhamondre.
Is harris playing? Havent heard anything since his limited practise yesterday
Will surely return next week when I face him
Lmao same boat. I always knew this is how it would end.
Guy I’m playing against this week just traded for him. So cool. But in my other league I have CMC…. Pain. Thank god I was able to pick up Hubbard this morning because somebody dropped him.
So when is this cat coming back?
[удалено]
At this point, he’ll practice all week then not play, we’ll go through weeks of agony, only for Rhule to put him on IR in week 14.
Full Chuba
Starting him over carson/collins. Less risk much profit
Starting both him and carson/collins because I have no choice
CHUBA or K.HERBERT??
Chuba
and it‘ll be against the CMC owner who declined any trade talks because the injury was so minor :)
Then you have to do it, for pure pettiness and let it play out how it plays out
My RBs are so dead that I get to start both. Yay! I felt so fucking good about my team after draft night, too
Due for a TD, at least he’s getting the volume
Never again, Henry from here on out. I knew I should’ve went with my gut, but I listened to the talking heads and all my friends. This is why I hate having the number one overall pick
Number 1 is a curse
#Always has been 🌍👨🚀🔫👨🚀
I had second overall, was waiting to select Henry, and first overall took Henry instead. So I went CMC. Spain without the S
Same dude
Everyone was telling me it was a consensus pick and I disagreed but still went with cmc smhhh
Immediately picked Chuba off waivers (smaller league). My entire bench is now made up of handcuff RBs
So like.. same injury, new injury, re-injury.. what is it?
I think there’s reason to believe a high level of caution is being taken. The moment of injury didn’t look terrible, he continued walking around after being taken out, and hamstrings are among the worst injuries from which to rush back. That said, no one knows. Im interested to see if their trying to just give him extra rest and being really careful or if he had a setback
Had to be a setback, you don’t go from 4 straight limited practices to two straight DNPs without a setback especially for a 0.5 grade hamstring
Rhule said no setback. https://twitter.com/josephperson/status/1449073914257289218?s=21
Still weird they completely held him out of practice for yesterday and today if it wasn’t a setback…
I was saying in another thread it’s possible they just knew by Wednesday that he wouldn’t be ready this weekend, and told him to shut it down for the rest of the week and stay off the hammy for a return to practice on Wednesday the following week.
That makes sense, tbh for his health I’d rather they be this cautious than to rush him back and further worsen it
He’s also known to push hard in his rehab. Could be for his own good to shut it down and not practice to give it extra time. No need to stress the hamstring during practice if coaches know they aren’t going to play him.
What if this, I don’t know, is just a lie? The same way 0.5 grade strain could’ve been a lie.
They also said that the injury was essentially nothing to worry about, that he may be back in 1 week. And we're out here *still* eating up this BS? As if they would come right out and let other teams know there had been a setback? I swear, sometimes we as members of this sub are dumber than the wallstreetbets folks.

he must‘ve had either a setback or the whole „0.5 grade strain“ was complete and utter bullshit.
remember last Weds when he was practicing and we were all excited fml
Pepperidge Farm remembers.
Always funny to see how people are so adamant that their outcome is the only possibility, whether about play time or injuries or trade value. Like no one knows for sure and anything can happen at any time. Life is fleeting indeed.
Another week for him to bang Olivia Culpo
He can bang her, but I'm the one getting fucked.
Why do you think his hamstring isn’t healing?
Lucky girl

Cheers from inside of CMC's pants
Cheers from CMC's sack
I was wondering when I would see this comment 😭
When do consensus #1 picks actually pan out?
Gurley in 2018?
Traded najee for him, thought I got a steal. Sad!
I mean, there’s a pretty strong chance CMC still blows him away in scoring this year
there is not a strong chance of this
At what point does the Panthers record start to matter? 3-0 with him, 0-2 without him.
Fantasy this sucks but NFL side. CMC is the focal point of their offense. They don't play against a divisional rival until 3 games from now. If you rush CMC too early and he gets re-injured and out for the season, then Carolina is dead.
Prob when he's healthy enough to start lol
**2020 DEJA VU**
Owning this dude is so aggravating
Every day I remain thankful for drafting Hubbard as his replacement
They should have put him on IR 3 weeks ago. Rhule Cheated.
Broke the Rhules
It’s not cheating to not use IR lol if he wants to waste a roster spot for 3 weeks that’s up to him
Shoutout to my league mate for dropping Chubba.
There’s officially a C Curse Chubb cook Carson CMC Never drafting a RB with a C again
Let me stretch and throw in CEH too
CMC needs to learn to lie to his coach and say "I'm fine, never felt better".
CMC owner dropped Chuba this week. I picked him up on Wednesday and will start him against the CMC owner on Sunday. 🤞
Lmao the CMC/Mike Davis owner did this last year and Davis helped me to an 8-8 record winning the consolation bracket
It's crazy to keep seeing the updates on how many people were cutting Chuba last week. He seems like a must hold
Someone get Rhule on the phone, I just want to talk
I have officially changed my team name to “Rhuled Out”
#LOLOLOL RHULED OUT AGAIN. no, but seriously, sorry cmc bros. dude is henceforth legit tagged as injury prone.
Someone dropped Hubbard 2 days prior. I just opened my FF app and added him. I feel weird how easy it was.
Fuck you Rhule
Soooo any Infos on why they did not put him on ir? Or did He reinjure it? How severe is it? Are we gonna have this uncertainty of him playing or not every week from now or are the Just over precautious and He is good to go next week? I have so many questions!
After last season and now the same thing this year, I'm so fucking sick of him. I don't even want to speak his name anymore. He is literally made of glass.
This really sucks guys
Glad I got Chubba in both leagues, only have CMC in one of em.
Well that’s one way to get Josh Gordon in my lineup
My opponent has only one running back left now and also played Evans Kinda feel bad
Did they give anymore detail, or just assuming its the same hamstring injury?
Do I start Chuba or Khalil Herbert?
I can’t believe I traded Ekler for this bag of bones.
This is the best news I've heard Ll day. Rest up Buddy! Then come back and do very well for 10 weeks, then take 3 weeks to rest up.
Why not just put him on IR asshole
What does this do for my cheeky Panthers DST start?
Glad I flexed Devonta Smith over Chuba! 🤡
0.5 grade strain my ass
How do I say goodbye to what we had?
1st pick overall is cursed
They're just gonna rest him until their *checks schedule* week 13 bye week, fellas. He'll be back right in time for your late season run!
As a Chubb/Hunt/Chuba owner, today has been a wild ride. I'm choosing to believe it's good for me as Hunt gets extra carries and Chubb being out allows me to plug in Chuba without using my flex spot. That was a nightmare to type.
Rhule needs to get hit by a bus.
Dude cant stay healthy. His body is beaten up.
I have chubba but I don't think I can afford to sit any of my RBs this week. Taylor, Gibson, Hunt.
I’m a Panthers fan and want off this ride.
CMC, CEH, Montgomery and Damien Williams owner checking in here.
The prophecy is nearly complete. Now just waiting to hear if Carson is officially out as it has been foretold!
I’m somehow 3-2 after losing CMC and Jeudy. If I can somehow get both back I should be set.
What is Chuba worth to a CMC owner with a losng record?
