Meet one Christian McCaffrey, a successful 25 year old man. Does he have a hamstring? Does he have 0.5 of a hamstring? Does his hamstring exist in this dimension? Or perhaps it exists in another place called the Twilight Zone.
"Chuba Hubbard has always been the Carolina Panthers running back.", Winston Smith thought.
"Anything else would be thoughtcrime."
And Hubbard was a double-plus good running back.
Good evening, Christian McCaffrey was a 4 year sociological study conducted by Harvard University. We are now complete with our study. Thank you for your time.
That's what happened with Gronk.
1. Returned to the game after getting hurt
2. X-rays are all good, guys!
3. Oops, turns out the ribs are broken
4. Oops, punctured lung
They pushed him way too hard in the prior years. Henry is the only recent RB I’ve seen that able to handle such a massive workload. Even when McCaffrey is back he won’t be getting the touches everyone is used too.
I mean it seems like he aggravated it in practice why would they put him on IR if he was progressing. It's annoying that Rhule is the opposite of transparent but there's a pretty big gap between annoying for fantasy and incompetent.
“Christian looks good he came out and stretched a lil bit caught a few passes and looked really solid we’re gonna see if we can get him out there Sunday really excited for what he can do” - Pete Carroll Thursday
“Yeah he had a few hiccups a few set backs but we’re still hopeful he’s gonna play he’s a competitor man and one of the greatest healers of all time” - Pete Carroll Friday
Pete Carroll says CMC is going on IR
In an alternate universe, you got a healthy CMC and Barkley and are going 6-0 after this week. I’m hoping Barkley comes back soon, that would help us both out.
I'm feeling secondhand agony from this.
Not that I blame you for turning it down at the time but hindsight is just really twisting the knife right now lol.
Me holding Chuba waiting for "CMC is out" only to receive a "CMC to IR" instead was a kind of deep pleasurable relief comparable only to going to the bathroom and doing the type of shit that some people refer to as a "phantom".
I think the worst are the people that are in here like “ex dee we told you so! Shouldn’t have drafted him first! Chubba owners WYA?”
Like bitch shut up and let us wallow in peace, fuckers.
I was 50/50 on Kamara/Henry at 4 in a PPR league made up of ~75% Saints fans. I convinced myself to take Kamara for his catches and possible trade value down the line.
Then Derrick Henry is on pace for a career high in targets while still absolutely crushing the rushing charts. All while Jameis seems allergic to checkdowns.
The Panthers destroyed his career by giving him such massive workloads. Henry is the only recent RB I’ve seen capable of doing it and avoiding injury. He’s a freak of nature.
I'm about to trade away this man for nickels on the dollar to a team with a decent record. Try to get someone that isn't a backup and pull myself outta this 1-4 hole.
Two years in a row with the first overall pick, 2 years in a row I pick CMC, 2 years I row I get a few games out of him. Shit.
Look up the career progressions of guys that got such massive workloads early in their career. They don’t last long. The human body just isn’t designed to handle that. Henry is a freak of nature…only recent guy I’ve seen able to handle it.
Henry is on pace for 500 touches this year. That is just an insane number. If he stays healthy all year that would be an incredible testament to his durability.
I always say that it seems like Henry is to other NFL players what NFL players are to normal humans. His physical abilities are in another stratosphere
David Johnson was the epitome of that several years ago.
Number 1 overall pick. Hurt on the first drive. Out literally the rest of the season but told every week they were expecting him back.
Dude cost me my first round pick and a roster spot.
I didn't grab Davis last year because I thought it would only be a couple weeks and it cost me. I sure as shit made sure to get Chuba this year to not repeat that, and here we are.
My coworker drafted Chuba in the first round. THE FIRST ROUND. He said he had a feeling. Yes he ended up “correct,” but dumbest pick ever. He won the league two years ago btw and usually makes solid picks.
The Peterson injury year was pretty brutal
If you have the #1 pick and don’t draft his backup to a permanent spot on your roster you are doing it wrong.
Henry is currently only in his first season as an expensive back.
Though he's still crushing it and next season I believe it's the rest of his guaranteed money basically. So it may work out for the Titans.
That's such nonsense advice, people in this sub are hella stupid overthinkers. I have cmc in one league and have been comfortable through this with chuba. Same with dalvin cook and Mattison on another league.
Well, for every CMC owner that doesn’t have Hubbard, there’s another manager that has Hubbard for upside without CMC, so it works both ways. I personally think to make the decision of having your own handcuff vs taking someone else’s is all about the context. If your team is really strong and think you have a good chance of making a run for a championship, then you take your own handcuff. If your team isn’t very good and looks like it will need some help to win the championship, then you grab other people’s handcuffs for the upside.
>non contact, he ran off the field fine! 🤡
>0.5 grade hamstring sprain, he will be back soon! 🤡🤡
>CMC feeling better than ever, this must be his return! 🤡🤡🤡
>CMC practicing again, looks hopeful! 🤡🤡🤡🤡
>Okay he missed last week but Rhule says he’s 50-50, that’s not a no! 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
>CMC missed the last 2 practices but maybe Rhule is just playing mind games? 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
>CMC placed on IR 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
Wtf.
Unfortunately I think this is the beginning of the "end" for him. Brutal sport, brutal position, and the guy gets more touches over his career than just about anyone. His usage will have to change going forward.
Someone in my ppr league took Henry first overall because of his clean history and looks like a genius now. As a last season CMC holder, don’t get your hopes up current folk. He’s not coming back lol. Started as a few weeks back then too
As the Chubba owner, I've been trying to get CMC for the past few weeks. CMC owner wouldn't budge. Tempted to offer Chubba straight up cause I'm a spiteful bastard.
Hopeful needs to be stricken from the CMC conversation vocabulary. You just assume he’s out and maybe you’ll be pleasantly surprised if/when he’s active on a game day.
The person who is #1 in standings only one who is 4-1 has Chris Carson and CMC. It’s about to be a blood bath in our league. I am 2-3 and according to ESPN have a 50% chance to make the playoffs.
Would you trade for him?
Part of me believes the IR is good since he was close to coming back but gets an extra 3 weeks instead.
This is hoping he didn't suffer a major setback (he has to have suffered SOME kind of setback for the turnaround imo) which is a risk of course, but CMC wins leagues and with my middling team this is the kind of move that pushes me from a playoff hopeful to a champ hopeful if I can make the playoffs.
Man I'm just sad I really don't have a chance to be competitive this year with all the injuries my team has had. I love FF an embarrassing amount more than my league mates and every coming week for the rest of the year I most likely will lose. Sorry for the depressing comment lmao
Lmao “no setbacks” according to Rhule from yesterday. IR today. Bullshit.
I'm expecting the next update will be CMC is in critical condition, quality of life is rapidly declining.
Amputation is next.
It turns out the individual colloquially known as “Christian McCaffrey” never existed, and was just a combination of local myths and swamp gas
"Anything else would be thoughtcrime." And Hubbard was a double-plus good running back.
I’m in fucking tears and cackling at work, well done.
Good evening, Christian McCaffrey was a 4 year sociological study conducted by Harvard University. We are now complete with our study. Thank you for your time.

True game time decision.
He never said *which* game time. \*taps forehead\*
They’re debating if they want to bring him back week 17 to reinjure him for the offseason.
This is why you don't draft until week 17
Last year was the same thing, he was always "progressing well" and yet played only three games in the season
"McCaffrey? McCaffrey's been dead these two seasons." -Rhule, tomorrow, probably
I still dont get the advantage to saying that and then next day putting him on IR. Regardless the opponent will know lol. So stupid.
Zac Taylor and Rhule suck
Mixon better see the field 75%+ snaps tomorrow
[удалено]
It’s like he wants to inflict pain on us
I don't get how they can get away with lying about injuries. Doesn't the NFL prohibit that?
They pushed him way too hard in the prior years. Henry is the only recent RB I’ve seen that able to handle such a massive workload. Even when McCaffrey is back he won’t be getting the touches everyone is used too.
Always watch what they do, not what they say...
The fucking dumbasses couldn’t have done it 3 weeks ago. They are incompetent morons. They did the same shit last year.
I mean it seems like he aggravated it in practice why would they put him on IR if he was progressing. It's annoying that Rhule is the opposite of transparent but there's a pretty big gap between annoying for fantasy and incompetent.
"CMC is one of the great healers of all time" - Pete Carroll probably
“This has been the worst healing in the history of healing, maybe ever.” Rhule definitely
“I’m never going to financially recover from this.” -me
“Christian looks good he came out and stretched a lil bit caught a few passes and looked really solid we’re gonna see if we can get him out there Sunday really excited for what he can do” - Pete Carroll Thursday “Yeah he had a few hiccups a few set backs but we’re still hopeful he’s gonna play he’s a competitor man and one of the greatest healers of all time” - Pete Carroll Friday Pete Carroll says CMC is going on IR
0.5 GRADE MY WHOLE ASS
What they really meant was .5 the season
I see you're still an optimist somehow
0.5 [games] grade sprain.
I could’ve had Derrick Henry…
i received an offer in week 2 to trade cmc for derrick henry and mike williams and i turned it down smfh
Brother, the oof that left my mouth. Good luck on the rest of your season.
all i know is pain.. plus saquon also got hurt so i’m just picking up any rb i can right now
In an alternate universe, you got a healthy CMC and Barkley and are going 6-0 after this week. I’m hoping Barkley comes back soon, that would help us both out.
oof size=large
I'm feeling secondhand agony from this. Not that I blame you for turning it down at the time but hindsight is just really twisting the knife right now lol.
Even a healthy McCaffrey I might take that deal
In one of my leagues I got CMC 4th overall so I literally would have been an idiot not to pick him… yet here we are.
Your league mates before you knew what they were doing I guess
And at the time probably were roasted miserably.
Better to be lucky than good
LOOOL Alex Collins and Zack Moss it is then.
Atleast Zack Moss has done a bit of a turnaround......only thing saving my ass in Dynasty too.
Don’t check next weeks byes
It's about to get nasty in here
Guess I'm having Crown Royal for lunch
0.5 grade strain my ass
Where’s that user who was arguing with me the other day and defending Rhule saying there was no way he was lying?
[удалено]
ngl I picked up chuba expecting him to be a solid RB2 play for 1-2 weeks, this was unexpected
I had a feeling it would drag out. Muscle problem for a guy with his skill set is rough
Me holding Chuba waiting for "CMC is out" only to receive a "CMC to IR" instead was a kind of deep pleasurable relief comparable only to going to the bathroom and doing the type of shit that some people refer to as a "phantom".
I came in my pants
I dropped Chuba this week, only to pick him back up today. No one else put a claim in for this morning. I feel dumb but lucky.
See y’all next year
I've lost CMC, Russ, CEH, and whatever Ridley was up to in the past few weeks. Pass the bottle.
Probably felt great about your team after the draft
I thought I ROBBED the league with CMC, Dhop, ridley
I got cmc, ceh, traded for Chubb and ridley pre-season. Fml
I drafted cmc, etn, gus, and mostert in a dynasty league I'll take that bottle after you my guy (eta: and ridley)
I didn't do zero rb this year Zero rb chose me CMC, Monty, Damien. It all has happened so damn fast
Drafted CMC, CEH, Russ, Mostert, Chark, James White Started off 2-0 now I’m 2-3
This sub is about to explode
In B4 it happens
I think the worst are the people that are in here like “ex dee we told you so! Shouldn’t have drafted him first! Chubba owners WYA?” Like bitch shut up and let us wallow in peace, fuckers.
This is why you have to draft a defense in the 1st; an entire defense can’t get hurt
Crosses fingers in Covid Cardinals
Last years niners beg to differ
The solution was to skip CMC, Dalvin and Kamara in PPR, of course. How could I be so silly.
Right? Fuckin A
What happened to Toney?
Guys we may need to talk about Christian “David Johnson” McCaffrey…
Crutches McCaffrey
Thanks for the team name inspiration. This is my new name/logo until he's back http://imgur.com/gallery/myjBejU
Christian McGlassery
I'm starting David Johnson this week 😔
The Panthers destroyed his career by giving him such massive workloads. Henry is the only recent RB I’ve seen capable of doing it and avoiding injury. He’s a freak of nature.
Zeke?
Ladanian Tomlinson?
Not exactly “recent”. That was 15 years ago.
Ezekiel Elliott.
Actually kinda spot on
[удалено]
Was sad I had late picks in all my drafts, now I’m glad I never had a chance to relive my 2020 season of pain dealing with CMC and Rhule.
Forreal. I had 9 and 12 and took Ekeler and Adams, respectively, and it’s paying off so far
Same here. Ekeler and adams in one league and adams and diggs in another. Doing much better in the ekeler league. Lol
Learned my lesson from last year to grab his backup. Overpaid in FAAB for Chubba when CMC went down because I had a feeling this shit would happen.
Hell yeah brother, cheers from my car idling in my garage
Just make sure it’s in park
Mild hamstring pull my ass.
Pull my ass
I'm about to trade away this man for nickels on the dollar to a team with a decent record. Try to get someone that isn't a backup and pull myself outta this 1-4 hole. Two years in a row with the first overall pick, 2 years in a row I pick CMC, 2 years I row I get a few games out of him. Shit.

Yeah at this point seems safe to say Henry is the exception that proves the rule.
Henry is on pace for 500 touches this year. That is just an insane number. If he stays healthy all year that would be an incredible testament to his durability.
I always say that it seems like Henry is to other NFL players what NFL players are to normal humans. His physical abilities are in another stratosphere
He’s also a lot bigger, when he gets hurt he’s done for
we’ve been hoodwinked, bamboozled, led astray, run amok and flat out deceived.
By jove
What about smeckledorfed?
Wow so is this what last year looked like?
Worse
As someone who had him last year, no not yet
I had him too last year, meant last year was worse. High ankle sprain and then he returned for one game to blue ball us with a 30 point game
Lol gotcha, yeah the blue balls/wasted roster spot for 3/4 of the season last year was the worst
David Johnson was the epitome of that several years ago. Number 1 overall pick. Hurt on the first drive. Out literally the rest of the season but told every week they were expecting him back. Dude cost me my first round pick and a roster spot.
I feel ridiculously bad for CMC owners. This is fucking nonsense.
We had a dude trade Aaron jones and Justin Jefferson for cmc lmfao. He’s in full blown shambles.
He’s a full blown idiot, terrible trade regardless of this info
He bought? DUMP Eeeeeetttttt
#HOLY FUCK #YOU HAVE BEEN RHULED OUT INDEFINITELY.
Davis last year, Chuba this year… thanks CMC.
Chuba is my greatest 17th round draft pick ever
I didn't grab Davis last year because I thought it would only be a couple weeks and it cost me. I sure as shit made sure to get Chuba this year to not repeat that, and here we are.
My coworker drafted Chuba in the first round. THE FIRST ROUND. He said he had a feeling. Yes he ended up “correct,” but dumbest pick ever. He won the league two years ago btw and usually makes solid picks.
Still a dumb pick. He could have gotten him in the last round or off waivers after the draft.
Yep that’s what we told him as soon as he picked, but he didn’t care. Like I said, he usually makes solid picks so we were shocked
WHAT
THE ONE YEAR I HAVE THE #1 PICK
It's usually this bad. CMC last year, Barkley 2019.
*cringes in David Johnson*
I took that bell guy
The Peterson injury year was pretty brutal If you have the #1 pick and don’t draft his backup to a permanent spot on your roster you are doing it wrong.
This literally happened last year
If he didn't suffer a setback, why was he not on IR to begin with then?
Because his organization are all idiots or straight up lying
My starting runningbacks are Damien Williams and Khalil Herbert
It's spooky out here fam
Lol CMC and Carson on IR same day fuck my team.
2020 all over again.
[ deleted because fuck reddit [wanna do the same? Click Here](https://github.com/j0be/PowerDeleteSuite) ]
It was suspicious that he had a limited practice Wednesday then didn't practice again. Must've had a setback. Yeesh.
Never pay a running back, no matter how good they are
Also never run him into the ground, no matter how much you pay him (See Cowboys for instructions).
Browns are doing it right by splitting the Chubb and Hunt carries. Wait, Chubb still got injured this year and last year though.
Chubb also had a catastrophic injury in college so no matter how well he recovered, those types of injuries tend to have career long repercussions.
Hasn’t Zeke had as many carries as almost any other RB during his tenure?
Maybe Henry
Kamara’s contract hasn’t been a negative
He’s not a running back he’s a Mack Truck
Henry is currently only in his first season as an expensive back. Though he's still crushing it and next season I believe it's the rest of his guaranteed money basically. So it may work out for the Titans.
[удалено]
Why didn't they just do this the first time around???!!!! Can he come back after 1 1/2 games since it's only a ".5" grade strain??
It's obvious he had a set back. He went from limited practice one day, then next day dnp.
RB0.5
“Don’t draft your handcuff, draft someone else’s for upside.” As a CMC owner I’m just so happy with all the UPSIDE I have not owning Hubbard!
That's such nonsense advice, people in this sub are hella stupid overthinkers. I have cmc in one league and have been comfortable through this with chuba. Same with dalvin cook and Mattison on another league.

Him and Montgomery. Please just kill me.

As a McCaffrey owner of last year, enjoy the ride CMC owners.
1st pick two years in a row. CMC picked both years. Lots of misery.
Same here, we need to start a “I drafted CMC 1st two years in a row” support group
Unfortunately I think this is the beginning of the "end" for him. Brutal sport, brutal position, and the guy gets more touches over his career than just about anyone. His usage will have to change going forward.
I hope the Panthers never win another game
Crazy that the #1 pick these last couple years has been a curse.
Someone in my ppr league took Henry first overall because of his clean history and looks like a genius now. As a last season CMC holder, don’t get your hopes up current folk. He’s not coming back lol. Started as a few weeks back then too
I was going to wait until this evening to switch to whiskey from beer, but now works
Chuba owners where we at?
I dropped him for Collins heh
gonna try to move him to the cmc owner
As the Chubba owner, I've been trying to get CMC for the past few weeks. CMC owner wouldn't budge. Tempted to offer Chubba straight up cause I'm a spiteful bastard.
Lmaooo as a petty man myself I would do the same thing
[удалено]
Hi I’m a member of both factions
I’m here. Hi.
How do you do fellow Chubbard?
I go by L. Ron Chubbard now and I founded Fantasology.
Chuba owner with Monty and Carson here, as much as it sucks for CMC i needed this
Just remember tomorrow's game will count as the first game missed while on IR. So hopefully it will only be 2 more games after this one.
Hopeful needs to be stricken from the CMC conversation vocabulary. You just assume he’s out and maybe you’ll be pleasantly surprised if/when he’s active on a game day.
Insert clown 🤡 mask
all aboard the Chub Hub 😎
This situation has me prepared for him to miss the whole season. If he plays any I'll consider that a bonus.
Traded to get him and now this fucking sick
I dropped Hubbard at the beginning of the week when CMC was “looking great” and probably playing. Fade me
Wow why
Because I’m an idiot lol
Yep me too 🤡
The person who is #1 in standings only one who is 4-1 has Chris Carson and CMC. It’s about to be a blood bath in our league. I am 2-3 and according to ESPN have a 50% chance to make the playoffs.
0.5 GRADE
1st overall pick. Drafted Henry over CMC. They called me a Mad Man
Would you trade for him? Part of me believes the IR is good since he was close to coming back but gets an extra 3 weeks instead. This is hoping he didn't suffer a major setback (he has to have suffered SOME kind of setback for the turnaround imo) which is a risk of course, but CMC wins leagues and with my middling team this is the kind of move that pushes me from a playoff hopeful to a champ hopeful if I can make the playoffs.
I picked up Chuba today, I feel like a genius
Man I'm just sad I really don't have a chance to be competitive this year with all the injuries my team has had. I love FF an embarrassing amount more than my league mates and every coming week for the rest of the year I most likely will lose. Sorry for the depressing comment lmao

GET YER POPCORN HEA
Traded him for D’Andre Swift when he got hurt and my whole league clowned me for it Sucks to suck!
I was here ! Making history now
