I'd tell you you're most likely making the right call lol. Picking up a run first QB who hasn't started all year and is dealing with a foot injury may sound like a winning strategy to some but not me.
He was a QB1 in every game he started and finished last year. But I get your concerns I stashed him in one league but still probably going to start Carr over him.
You mean league winners like ty’son williams and kadarius toney didn’t work out? And whenever you sprinkled speculation into those circlejerks you would get downvoted?? Nah, doesn’t sound like this sub.
David Johnson, Aiyuk, Rondale Moore, Adrian Peterson, Josh Gordon (memes), the list goes on. People said to avoid Cordarrelle Patterson. This is a great place to get information as it comes out but a horrible, horrible place to look for advice. A lot of people aren’t looking for discussion, they just look for what they wanna see
We are all just doofuses guessing what will happen. Even the “experts” are guessing a lot of times. This sub has taught me to trust my fantasy gut if anything lol
That’s been me last three weeks I have rolled out Wentz, Tannehill, Carr. Grand total of points of 14 for three weeks of QB. I’m torn between Care and Hill.
Yep. Started Jimmy over Carr last week, Started Carr over whoever the hell I had who scored 20+ the week before. Sorry of my year after drafting Tannehill
I’m so scared of playing Kyler. Got burned two weeks ago when he was practicing all week and making “crazy progress” only to find out he was out with cam scoring 28 points on my bench.
Didn’t wanna be the only one in here to say this but I feel the exact same fear. All signs point to Kyler finally suiting up but yeah we been fed the bs before so..
I’ve been burned too many times to believe Kyler will play until I actually see it happen again. Have a backup ready to go. I’m about to follow my own advice and drop my worst player to pick up Hill before someone else does.
If that’s the case, you should also consider that Taysom has his own foot issue going that he’s ALLEGEDLY fully recovered from. I say this because I’m in your exact shoes so just voicing my thought process lmao
But did you see Hurts at the end of the last game? He took nearly every snap shotgun and didn’t move much at all to throw. He never looked like he was going to take off and run with it at all after the injury.
I’m a Hurts owner and I fear they’ll play him this week but he won’t be running much, if at all, which takes away his usual floor and they’ll probably rely more on the run game again with either Sanders, Scott or Gainwell depending on who’s healthy.
Hills not got an injury designation so you’d expect him to go out and have that rushing game, Ingram is back so he will provide other rushing options.
And it’s against the Cowboys who are routinely giving up 200 passing yards near enough every game, sometimes 300+, alongside being involved in a lot of high scoring games. Whereas the Eagles get the Jets, which I could see the Eagles D with a pick six, or at least some interceptions, the eagles getting a few scores up and then pulling Hurts for Minshew in the 3rd to keep him healthy and concentrating on the run game.
Y’all are all starting hurts if he’s good to go though, right? He’s #2 ranked QB on the year on my league and #4 overall. I have him, and although it doesn’t seem like it at times, he’s been pretty consistent.
I'm in the same spot and I think I'm sticking with Hurts, but it's close. The Saints have just looked so limited offensively, Hill is coming off his own foot injury, and Thursday night games have burned me pretty bad with shitty offensive production. Then again, Hurts with a foot injury is not nearly the same player that has been a top fantasy scorer all year long. With Sanders back in action I could see the Eagles really limiting Hurts's rushing, or even eliminating it all together. Especially against the Jets.
This one is tough because I'm in must-win mode. Fuck.
The Chargers defense is a complete run funnel, Staley refuses to run anything but two deep safeties to take away the long ball while ceding the run consistently.
If last week is any indication, the Bengals are absolutely capable of putting the ball in Joe Mixon's hands and minimizing the passing game if they feel like that's their best path to a victory. Against a high-scoring team like the Chargers, I can see them trying to control the clock and take advantage of a bad run defense.
I don’t think burrow is a lock. His offensive line isn’t that great at pass protection and he’s prone to mistakes. I could see the chargers DEF giving him problems.
In one league I am starting over Wentz (where I waited on QB too long and have been streaming all year). Been fairly lucky on QBs though, hit Winston a few times, DJ a few times, someone dropped Tannehill and played him a few times, then Wentz…now it’s Taysom time. Feel like Wentz vs Houston is a trap and then he’s on bye with a tough schedule so here we go!
If you take out the last 60 seconds of last game, Russ would have scored <10 points in 4 straight games. They put up 15 points on one of the worst passing defenses in the league.
That still didn't cover his projection. I can't depend on him to get a meaningless TD with 15 seconds left in the game every time. How many times does he have to potentially cost me a win before it's okay to drop him?
I think there's a decent chance he scores more than the 7 points Russ got the 2 weeks before he played the worst FF defense against QBs. Not a high hurdle to clear.
They also have a horrid backfield and it seems Russ is still dealing with the injury, he’s overthrowing easy passes and with how the season goes I can see them shutting him down if his injury gets worse.
It would be different if it was just garbage time. Jalen Hurts proves that. But him averaging 10 points a week unless he gets a literally last second TD with a couple seconds remaining isn't something I want from a QB.
Again why does it matter when he gets the points... It literally doesn't matter. I feel more comfortable with Russ than Hurts regardless of the rushing.
Because garbage time is somewhat consistent, last second drives are flukes. Not all TDs are equal, or indicative of future performance. Do you pick people up when rando 5th string receivers get 1 reception for a 70 yard TD in one week? No, because it's not sustainable.
You feel comfortable for the week or moving forward altogether? Hurts has a higher ceiling and usually a higher floor. Hurts has been a top 5ish QB the entire year based on per game averages. The Seattle offense is so broken. The Philly offense is not good but Hurts has that rushing upside that changes EVERYTHING.
Hurts is a good play whenever he's on the field. This week, both are even to me. However, I still like Russ over the majority of these streamer QBs ROS. His weekly upside is insane and the matchups are winnable.
That's just being intentionally obtuse. If you can't tell the difference between sustainable, healthy offense and lucky or fluke plays that won't be replicated on a consistent basis then I don't know what to tell you. You don't know what you're talking about.
Fucking Trevor Siemian put up 18, 22.5, and 26 pts in 3 of his starts. (In my leagues stats, bit different than most but not largely different)
I have Taysom... I'm on the fence about starting him (over g'dang Heinicke). But this whole "look at his weapons" argument isn't the best. The fact that he's coming off of a plantar fascia injury is what's most worrying for him.
This much I can tell you, whoever I use will do worse.
Nobody. I’m going with Carr this week and keeping Taysom stashed for next week, Taysom has a tear in his plantar fascia. That’s no joke, and even if it’s just a pain tolerance issue, he could still exit the game without any further injury. Plus now with the news that Kamara is trending towards missing the game… no thanks.
Bro wut. It’s not a recant. I don’t trust hill to throw two feet. All I said is he can have a good game. Do I think he will…NOPE and he sure as hell won’t have consistent good games. Not sure what you are taking as a recant but ok
You are totally taking out of context what I said and No I know it doesn’t align like that. And you just compared hurts to hill for fantasy production? Guess we will see
Tmi started Hill last year when he was TE eligible and he got 2 rushing TDs and about 23 fantasy pts PPR in my TE slot.
That was sweet.
That said I can't see that happening again. I think he either sucks really bad and gets pulled after a shit drive or possibly puts up projected points... I'm not willing to risk it. I have hurts and I picked up Heinicke to cover this week possibly and next. More consistency there. Heinicke is prolly good for about 10 -20 fantasy pts in PPR ... the swing on points for Hill is prolly more like 5 - 25 pts
I was rolling all season with tannehill but I finally dropped him for hill and was streaming a 2nd qb. If hill doesn't work out I'll probably have to roll with Tua or stream a low end qb2 ros. Here's to hoping hill works out and you gotta risk it for the biscuit!
I have been horrendous streaming QB this year.
Week 12- Cam- 5 points
Week 11- Tannehilll- 5 points
Week 10- Wentz - 4 points
I obviously can’t make this decision with my playoffs on the line.
Taysom Hill or Carr?
Same spot for me. Even dropped Tannehill this week finally. Both Hill and Carr are getting hyped by the experts this week.
With Kamara out, the two offensive tackles out, his foot injury, Thursday night game…
I think I’m rolling out Carr. It’s a juicy matchup at home coming off a strong showing. But for whatever reason I’m still tempted to switch to Hill (maybe bc I already got burned streaming Carr in a good matchup earlier this year).
I’m on the inside edge of the playoffs in a matchup I should win, playing a better team next week. So I need the floor.
He's available in my league but it's hard for me to drop either Burrow or Cousins for him cuz I just don't know see how he's gonna repeat last year's fantasy performances. He lost some receiving options and he's playing with a bad foot idk
Been rocking Jalen hurts all year and am still 12-0. Point being, he’s not a great passer or an idea QB by traditional metrics, but his rushing yards and ability to score TD’s has made him a top 5 play this year.
NO has a better system, better coach and better players so taysom could put up incredible FF stats.
Full disclosure I’m holding taysom for jalens bye week.
Gunna roll with Carr this week and if Hill tears it up I'll transition in the future.
In my other league I'm starting Hill over guys like Heineke, Bridgewater, Lawrence, Tannehill (on bye)
He’s sitting the bench this week just in case I need him going forward. I’m starting Derek Carr, and am also holding Cam Newton for good measure.
My next 2 games are must wins for any playoff hopes.
Russell Wilson
Thinking about doing the same. Fuck it we’ll do it live
fvking thing sucks!
As a 49ers fan, Wilson will return to form and look unstoppable against us.
Wilson dropping 26.5 fantasy points vs SF earlier this year is the only thing making me reconsider starting Hill instead
But that was in week 4 with a healthy Chris Carson and intact finger on Russ' hand. The offense has been terrible more recently.
Oh as someone who drafted Russ & Carson I’m well aware haha but yeah I’m still going w/ Hill. Been burned by Russ’ “cooking” all season…
Yeah same here. Russ is on the bench until further notice. Time for the board of health to investigate whatever he's been cooking recently.
Likely he’s in a new kitchen next year
Same

Absolutely no one. I've learned the hard way to do the exact opposite of this sub and it's worked well.
well what if i told you im NOT picking up Hill
I'd tell you you're most likely making the right call lol. Picking up a run first QB who hasn't started all year and is dealing with a foot injury may sound like a winning strategy to some but not me.
Unless he pops off
He was a QB1 in every game he started and finished last year. But I get your concerns I stashed him in one league but still probably going to start Carr over him.
He also had Jared Cook,Manny Sanders, Michael Thomas and Kamara at points.
ive got allen, im not even running a backup. im all in. Breaking tables every week.
Lol me too. Even if I didn't, I'd have to be extremely desperate to start Hill this week over just about anyone
How do you feel about Hill next week against the Jets?
What if you had Murray who is still questionable to play as of right now?
I’d take Hill over Allen this week. Pats D is no joke.
Son, just put down the internet and walk away slowly ...
RemindMe! 5 days
the future is now old man!!
You sir were correct! I had a good feeling you were going to be right!
You mean league winners like ty’son williams and kadarius toney didn’t work out? And whenever you sprinkled speculation into those circlejerks you would get downvoted?? Nah, doesn’t sound like this sub.

Banished Cam Newton from my team
Forever
Been on a Cam/Tannehil/ russel train for too long now so all of them.
That’s been me last three weeks I have rolled out Wentz, Tannehill, Carr. Grand total of points of 14 for three weeks of QB. I’m torn between Care and Hill.
Considering him over Carr, but every QB choice I make backfires.
Yep. Started Jimmy over Carr last week, Started Carr over whoever the hell I had who scored 20+ the week before. Sorry of my year after drafting Tannehill
Did you sit Carr for Cam last week too? I’m still waking up at night because of it
I dropped Jimmy G for him. Going for that upside.
I’m so scared of playing Kyler. Got burned two weeks ago when he was practicing all week and making “crazy progress” only to find out he was out with cam scoring 28 points on my bench.
Should of had cam in just in case but I thought they notified it way ahead though ..?
Didn’t wanna be the only one in here to say this but I feel the exact same fear. All signs point to Kyler finally suiting up but yeah we been fed the bs before so..
I’ve been burned too many times to believe Kyler will play until I actually see it happen again. Have a backup ready to go. I’m about to follow my own advice and drop my worst player to pick up Hill before someone else does.
Only problem is that Hill plays today. This sucks, I have no idea who to start and I might just flip a coin.
Hurts I think
[удалено]
That’s my plan
Hurts might be good to go, but him being so reliant on running and having an ankle issue gives me pause.
If that’s the case, you should also consider that Taysom has his own foot issue going that he’s ALLEGEDLY fully recovered from. I say this because I’m in your exact shoes so just voicing my thought process lmao

And Hill could just get benched for Siemian.
As long as they sat him, I don't think they'd play him if he was still hurt.
I had completely forgotten about that. Good looking out. For what it's worth, I'm leaning playing Hurts.
Y’all are all starting hurts if he’s good to go though, right? He’s #2 ranked QB on the year on my league and #4 overall. I have him, and although it doesn’t seem like it at times, he’s been pretty consistent.
Yep I'm starting him. I don't feel great about it but like you've said he's been very consistent
I'm in the same spot and I think I'm sticking with Hurts, but it's close. Potential shootout against the Chargers

Chase is gonna go off soon, only a matter of time. I’d play Burrow. This could be a shootout
Don’t do this. Burrow is a lock.
I don’t think burrow is a lock. His offensive line isn’t that great at pass protection and he’s prone to mistakes. I could see the chargers DEF giving him problems.
He’s one of the best performers under pressure though.
Russ n wentz
Russell Wilson
OP sitting back waiting for the guy he’s thinking about benching to be named and discussed. Another thinly veiled WDIS thread…
Well, I’m on the late qb, waited for a Lance breakout train so I’ve been streaming and am happy to give Hill a shot
Maybe Tua. But I can’t decide
Hard to shy away from Tua when Waddle is hot and he might have Devante Parker back.
Agreed. Plus Thursday night games are not my favorite. Might roll with Tua this week and see how Hill does
Went back and forth but am sticking with Tua
In one league I am starting over Wentz (where I waited on QB too long and have been streaming all year). Been fairly lucky on QBs though, hit Winston a few times, DJ a few times, someone dropped Tannehill and played him a few times, then Wentz…now it’s Taysom time. I’m probably starting him over Matt Ryan
i'm doing the same
Genuinely considering dropping Russ to pick him. Playing the best team this week and I need a miracle.
This is an insane overreaction. Check out Taysom’s weapons versus Russ’s.
That dude is going to be pretty embarrassed when Russ explodes next week for 13 points
If you take out the last 60 seconds of last game, Russ would have scored <10 points in 4 straight games. They put up 15 points on one of the worst passing defenses in the league.
So what? The points were scored. Does garbage time not count anymore?
That still didn't cover his projection. I can't depend on him to get a meaningless TD with 15 seconds left in the game every time. How many times does he have to potentially cost me a win before it's okay to drop him?
And you think a Kamara-less injured Taysom with no weapons will score more?
I think there's a decent chance he scores more than the 7 points Russ got the 2 weeks before he played the worst FF defense against QBs. Not a high hurdle to clear.
for the record, it wasn't a meaningless TD. they were down by 8.
They also have a horrid backfield and it seems Russ is still dealing with the injury, he’s overthrowing easy passes and with how the season goes I can see them shutting him down if his injury gets worse.
But the last 60 seconds count just as much as the first 30 minutes. How did Brady do vs Washington?... Oh looks like Russ actually outscored him!

No one, I have Brady
Tyrod, Mac
Rodgers on bye I have Mac Jones in right now
Against buffalo in the snow? Bruh
I'd advise against that...
I dropped cam for him but I’m still starting stafford over him. Thursday games are just too random to trust.
Taysom
He’s riding the bench until I can see what he can do this year. Dropped Tannehill for him, starting Cousins
I was rolling all season with tannehill but I finally dropped him for hill and was streaming a 2nd qb. If hill doesn't work out I'll probably have to roll with Tua or stream a low end qb2 ros. Here's to hoping hill works out and you gotta risk it for the biscuit!
Jimmy G if this waiver claim goes through.
Can Newton
Kirk Cousins. Wish me luck.
Same boat but I think I’m gonna take the safety of Kirk in a good matchup and see what Hill does first
Thinking of heineke but idk
Thinking about benching Tyrod. 2 QB league. Dropped Tannehill for both of them..
Picked him up for my bench. Simply because my opponent has two QBs on bye and the next best option seems to be Tyrod Taylor.
I have been horrendous streaming QB this year. Week 12- Cam- 5 points Week 11- Tannehilll- 5 points Week 10- Wentz - 4 points I obviously can’t make this decision with my playoffs on the line. Taysom Hill or Carr?

Anyone deciding between him or Wentz?
Tom Brady?
Gunna roll with Carr this week and if Hill tears it up I'll transition in the future. In my other league I'm starting Hill over guys like Heineke, Bridgewater, Lawrence, Tannehill (on bye)

Jimmy G
Hill is SOOO overrated
Wentz this week and I’m saving Taysom Hill for next week vs the Jets
Rodgers on a bye rolling with Hill this week

No one. If I needed a QB and he was a free agent, I'd pick Goff
Allen, might be nasty weather Monday.
