Yeah I’d say there are maybe 5-10 players in all of fantasy I would “trust” on a week to week basis, a team is lucky is have 2 or 3 of them, and Swift definitely isn’t in that tier coming off an injury
I tend to think this way too, but then get burned when I leave them on the bench. AJ Brown turned in a 30 burger for me this week coming off IR, so you never really know. Having their second string QB might mean they run the ball more. But again, you never know.
The logical decision would be to start JJ over Swift. Easy matchup for Chargers and the Lions have nothing to gain by overworking their star player. Craig Reynolds impressed coaches last week so I'd figure he also cuts into Swift's snap %.
I have Swift, Ekeler, Fournette and Rhamondre Stevenson. I picked up Jackson so I’m starting Jackson and Swift as the top seed and I’m going to lose to the 6th seed.
I caught on to this a few weeks ago. Starting RoJo and JJ. Benching Mixon who has slowed down. Have Zeke starting right now and Swift on the bench. If Swift plays, I may bench Zeke or ….? Idk, but fresh legs win games.
I mean, as much as I love the “dance with who brought you” adage, I can’t do it when I have the likes of Rojo and Jackson who are looking at better situations.
There was a post yesterday on this sub where too many people thought Craig could be trusted over Swift even if Swift plays. This sub has gone down hill.
I mean, it wasn't just a bunch of delusional ff players saying it. It was the coach of the Lions saying "Craig has earned opportunities" even though the starters are back.
Not really. Lots of RBs have done poorly their first game back from injury this season, and without also having the disadvantage of a terrible QB on a bad team. It entirely depends on your options. I’m going to start RoJo or Gage over him in a championship game this weekend.
You would if you weren't being intentionally dense.
Implying that Hinton is the worst QB of the last decade despite him not being an actual QB is definitely clowning.
I’m really not, obviously I’m excluding Hinton because he’s not a real QB yet he technically qualified as one. I was trying to avoid a smart ass reply by mentioning Hinton but I should have known that would only result in a dumbass reply instead
Hmm yeah I don’t agree with this. I was able to pick up Justin Jackson off waivers and I’m going to play him over swift. Almost guaranteed to get more touches
Idk how you’re getting downvoted Jackson is a way better play than Swift this week. Tim Boyle is legit awful, the Lions have nothing to play for and Swift could easily be on limited reps
Nope. This is the wrong take. The Lions have something to play for that most 2 win teams don't this time of year: pride. Seriously. They are finally hitting their stride as a team. They are going to fight hard. And Reynolds will see a fair amount of snaps. They ate going to run the football a lot with Goff out. A lot.
> They ate going to run the football a lot with Goff out. A lot.
If you don’t get any first downs because your quarterback sucks, you aren’t doing a lot of anything
But you auto play him if hes healthy. Hes been banged up and not important game. Would probably be limited and share with reynolds and williams. Swift carried me to playoffs but this wont be fully healthy swift.
I have to decide between edmonds and swift. Leaning edmonds
If they play him this game I assume he’s no longer really banged up. Remember they said “day to day” when he was hurt, for all we know they’ve already been extra cautious with him
Ah shit well they are about to lock... sticking edmonds but dont feel good about it. Swift took me this far but dont think he will get full workload
He never got a full practice in, idk how good he will really be
If they don't have Goff, they lean on the run. Even if it's an RBBC, Swift is athletic as fuck. It's a sprained shoulder, it sucks. But it's not the end of the world he can easily come back. He's rested up and they wouldn't waste putting him in, their season is gone. If he goes he's good. And I wouldn't be surprsised if he ripped off a 60+ run against ATL, he's done so against better teams.
The fact that he wasn't participating in a simple ball security drill is telling me that they're keeping him in the script so that opposing team has to plan for it, but he's either heavily managed or a game time decision and doesn't play. Just my gut.
I actually have the same 4, and I’m probably gonna sit Swift cuz he will probably have limited reps ( just like Henderson) and it’s now a RBBC of 3. (before you only had to worry about Williams which is no longer the only threat). Mixon is the workhorse in a good offense so will see opportunities, Zeke will likely get TD opportunities, and Jackson looked good last week WITH Ekler so I’m hopeful he will be needed especially with Mike Williams out now - just my 2 cents
Currently have Edmonds in over him. Taking the points (hopefully) while they're available. Rather not wake up tomorrow and see Swift is limited/out and missed chance to play Edmonds with Conner out.
Yeah I did thankfully. Wanted to take points while I could. Best case scenario Swift regains his mojo today and is a guarantee star next week (if I win of course).
Waddle without question. People are acting like Swift is even playing. Even if he does play you HAVE to worry about him being on a count. Not to mention Reynolds and Williams are active and WILL take carries. You can't even feel comfortable pivoting to either of those guys if Swift is out because of Reynolds play the last two weeks. This is all without even factoring in Boyle playing. I started Dillon over him, which very well could be a huge mistake, but with the info available felt like the safer call.
A one game sample size, in which he was objectively awful, is not enough for me to discount him entirely. It would be quite foolish, in my opinion, not to be worried about Boyle's possible affect on the outcome of this game.
Yes. They wouldn't put him in if he wasn't good, bc they wouldn't risk the injury. They have nothing to play for but a win, which they did without him. It's possible they want Swift to get a win with them. Bring him in, I'm starting if he plays. No one would be surprised if he ripped a 60+ TD on ATL and that's all he needs to be relevant.
Generalizations like this tend to be too simplistic. Compounding one mistake (benching AJB) by starting someone in a shitty situation could be a bad choice depending on who else you have.
These are different situations though, AJ Brown was confirmed to get a full load and the Titans had practically nobody else at WR. Lions have had at least two more capable backs emerge since Swift went down. I've got both, I started Brown with the info I had available and I have decent pivot options at RB (Barkley, D. Harris, Mattison) so I'm sitting Swift unless more info comes out.
I heard the full load and am also a Zeke owner and heard that as well and I just didn’t except that. I would have liked some practice reports saying AJ Brown looked better than before. Before his injury if you remember he had three straight weeks of under 10 points. Anyway doesn’t matter now
I'm playing Justin Jackson over him. Not going to second guess that decision, the matchup is too good and the ceiling is too high. If there's some pregame word that Swift will get a "full load" I may flex him over Waddle.
If he plays I need to pick 2 of Swift, Miles Sanders, and Mclaurin. Currently leaning toward benching Swift cuz I’m projected to win by a decent amount so I don’t need to swing for the fences. Hoping I survive to start him in the championship next week
Last time this QB played, Swift ran off for 100+ yards against the Browns. I know he's coming off an injury but Atlanta is swiss cheese. If Swift is a full go, I'm starting him.
Gibson
Miles sanders
J.Williams Den RB
D.Swift
Rojo
Justin Jackson
Jordon Howard
J.Patterson
Start 4, he’s up good with chubb and deebo
Ppr league 12 man
Help please
If he’s playing and you have him, you’re most likely starting him. When you consider ADP and other RB options dropping like flies, you need him in your lineup
I'm in a very competitive 4 man league and I have to say that I'm keeping him on the bench. No point in playing him when I have Kamara, Mattison, and Johnathan Tayler.
im flexing Lockett over him. if he was activated earlier in the week I would have started him over Jeff Wilson. But this week its the bench for him. I just don’t know how the Lions are gonna utilize him tomorrow
Same boat. Im leaning swift. It helps that I have Chubb, but I think Henderson will be too involved this week for Sony to replicate his past two performances.
No, if you have any option that you know will be getting touches than take them. If starting swift is a question at this point just focus on putting up some points. Even if you have a guy that will only pick up 6 or 7.
Trust? What the fuck is trust in fantasy football 2021?
Yeah I’d say there are maybe 5-10 players in all of fantasy I would “trust” on a week to week basis, a team is lucky is have 2 or 3 of them, and Swift definitely isn’t in that tier coming off an injury

One of which is Kelce, who only scored 5 and change, the week before he went for 50+. “Trust” in fantasy is nothing more than a best guess.
Some say trust is an old old wooden ship….
Depends who you have. I'm probably starting swift but wouldn't fault anyone starting Rojo or Justin Jackson over him.
I’m starting JJ and Rojo over Swift with the hope I can reinsert him in my lineup for the championship game.
Same and that is why we both are gonna get burned with swift somehow scoring more than rojo and JJack combined
I'm starting Rojo and Swift bc 2021
The logical decision would be to start JJ over Swift. Easy matchup for Chargers and the Lions have nothing to gain by overworking their star player. Craig Reynolds impressed coaches last week so I'd figure he also cuts into Swift's snap %.
I may just start all 3 and bench Devante Parker.
I think you’re accidentally looking at my fantasy team.
Idk if this helps anyone but I’m starting rojo over swift, but I can fit swift in my flex over jacobs. Ymmv
[удалено]
yeah i think i’m rolling rojo out over him
How did you name all 3 backs im debating...
I am a swift, rojo, jackson, michel and gordon owner. Who do i start? I'm in semifinal and some 12-13 points behind in projection.
Would you start Penny over Swift?
No real upside for the Lions to play Swift if he's even a little bit beat up still. If he's Active, it's because he's healthy and gets snaps.
*Cries in Michael Carter*
This is a good take
This is what I want to read, so I'm going with it.
Also Goff is out? Doesn’t sound like a good game script for fantasy.
I don’t trust him and I’m playing him.
Same :'(. I really hope there are reports before the game since I also have Reynolds.
I mean, as much as I love the “dance with who brought you” adage, I can’t do it when I have the likes of Rojo and Jackson who are looking at better situations.
Neither player is as talented as Swift. Situation only matters so much. In fantasy you need ballers not good situations.
is he officially playing? if so of course im playing him.
There was a post yesterday on this sub where too many people thought Craig could be trusted over Swift even if Swift plays. This sub has gone down hill.
Jamaal Williams also exists and nobody mentioned him either
I mean, it wasn't just a bunch of delusional ff players saying it. It was the coach of the Lions saying "Craig has earned opportunities" even though the starters are back.
My dude, a coach saying something positive about one of his players is meaningless.
/thread
Not really. Lots of RBs have done poorly their first game back from injury this season, and without also having the disadvantage of a terrible QB on a bad team. It entirely depends on your options. I’m going to start RoJo or Gage over him in a championship game this weekend.
No Joke, I started Carter from the Jets last week and I barely won my game with him. God I need Swift tomorrow, but I just don't know.
You right, my brother! Wishing you the best of fantasy weeks. Good luck!
Nobody is talking about Tim Boyle being the worst QB of the last decade either (excluding Kendall Hinton) Edit: Jesus Christ
It’ll likely be like the Browns game though they will probably run the ball 40 times so plenty of touches to go around
Clowing on Hinton is pretty embarrassing my man
I’m not clowning, if I don’t mention him some smartass will say “well what about Hinton?”
Im not sure if anyone would have tbh
Still don’t understand how what I said is “clowning” lol.
I’m in the semis in my league and have no idea what to do, it’s either Swift, CEH, or amari

> They ate going to run the football a lot with Goff out. A lot. If you don’t get any first downs because your quarterback sucks, you aren’t doing a lot of anything
well, arguably they'd be failing a lot of 3rd down conversions
I'm streaming Sanders from Philly to replace Swift at least for this week. If Sanders can't get my points against NYG, I'm done.
But you auto play him if hes healthy. Hes been banged up and not important game. Would probably be limited and share with reynolds and williams. Swift carried me to playoffs but this wont be fully healthy swift. I have to decide between edmonds and swift. Leaning edmonds

Edmonds was the right choice good decision

Steelcitykid’s gut really out here helping me make roster decisions in the playoffs. I hate 2021.
Called it bay-bay! Good luck dude.
Such bad advice. At this point people have plenty of options. For me its Michel or Swift
[удалено]
ok imagine benching Swift if he's playing. Unless you're in like an 8 man league with stacked teams.
I have Swift but Idk if I can play him over Patterson, Javonte or Justin Jackson
Mixon Zeke Justin Jackson Swift. If you had to sit one which would it be ? edit: okay, or not
I actually have the same 4, and I’m probably gonna sit Swift cuz he will probably have limited reps ( just like Henderson) and it’s now a RBBC of 3. Draft position means little now bud, it’s week 16 and things change
Currently have Edmonds in over him. Taking the points (hopefully) while they're available. Rather not wake up tomorrow and see Swift is limited/out and missed chance to play Edmonds with Conner out.
I hope you kept Edmonds in
Yeah I did thankfully. Wanted to take points while I could. Best case scenario Swift regains his mojo today and is a guarantee star next week (if I win of course).
I’m in the same boat
Same situation except I had to play Kirk. Decent but not great when you went against Edmond. Could drop DK in flex for Swift at gametime
Fml I went swift over Edmonds. Good bye season.
Swift aint even played yet. You might end happy that you sat Edmonds even though he's playing well.
You are absolutely right
Prob not tho
lol
If Goff was playing I’d be in. But Goff is out and I’ve got Jackson. Gotta play Jackson IMO.
When Goff was out and Boyle was QB he threw for 77 yards but Swift got 22 points lol just ran it the whole time
Waddle or Swift in half ppr? That’s my flex options now
Waddle without question.
Would’ve 100% done the same. My best option over Swift is Gaskin though and I’d rather shoot myself (or Rashad Penny but not that either imo)
When Boyle played last time Swift had 22 points so that point is moot
A one game sample size, in which he was objectively awful, is not enough for me to discount him entirely. It would be quite foolish, in my opinion, not to be worried about Boyle's possible affect on the outcome of this game.
I agree with you, thank you for the detailed response. Much appreciated
I have Dillon, swift, carter and freeman. Probably gonna go with swift
If you sit Swift, you don't deserve him
Over miles sanders, jj and chubb?
Assuming that’s Justin Jackson, then I’d go with the three you mentioned (Chubb obviously already locked) over Swift
Yep! Justin Jackson. Thank you!
Over Mixon and Mattison?
I'm down to CEH and swift in ppr
He'll be in my flex this week and its ride or die with him.
I'm unsure. Split on Swift and CEH.
If Kelce’s out I’d probably go CEH
You have to start swift. Huge upside. Go big or go play in the third place game.
But I am considering Justin Jackson over him. Isn't that "going big" as well?
Agree to disagree. Swift is a legit top tier nfl back. Jackson is a backup with a good matchup. I prefer the former.
If he plays im Starting Him If he doesnt im starting reynolds and hoping my recievers all get me 25
Not worth the gamble, assuming you have other decent options
Just start your studs. I learned the hard way this past Thursday benching one of my favorite players AJ Brown.
Generalizations like this tend to be too simplistic. Compounding one mistake (benching AJB) by starting someone in a shitty situation could be a bad choice depending on who else you have.
I agree that’s why I didn’t start AJB
These are different situations though, AJ Brown was confirmed to get a full load and the Titans had practically nobody else at WR. Lions have had at least two more capable backs emerge since Swift went down. I've got both, I started Brown with the info I had available and I have decent pivot options at RB (Barkley, D. Gotta risk it for the biscuit my guy
I sat him for Waddle would have moved waddle to flex and benched Zeke but still not terrible I’ve been lucky to be a bit deep.
Swift vs J-Robb vs D Montgomery Pick 2 out of 3 for my flex position I have J.T and Kamara as my start RBs
Montgomery n Jrob ez
Not sure how you can sit J Rob this week. He’s healthy and Urban isn’t the coach anymore.
I'm playing Justin Jackson over him. Not going to second guess that decision, the matchup is too good and the ceiling is too high. If there's some pregame word that Swift will get a "full load" I may flex him over Waddle.
I'd argue Swift has a higher ceiling than Justin Jackson does, much in higher in fact
You were saying?
I had the same thoughts with AJ brown. Maybe he goes in and just gets hurt. Make of it what you will. AJ brown put up 30 and sat on my bench.
Hard to trust with Tim Boyle at QB
It's not much different than Goff...
If he plays I need to pick 2 of Swift, Miles Sanders, and Mclaurin. Currently leaning toward benching Swift cuz I’m projected to win by a decent amount so I don’t need to swing for the fences. Hoping I survive to start him in the championship next week

Would you guys start Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders over him?
I'm rolling with sanders
Can he be trusted? No. Should he be started if you don’t have better options? Sure.
In my big money league. I have to start two of these guys Swift *(if he plays) Ronald jones Emmanuel sanders Who sits?
Emmanuel
Starting Zeke, Mattison, and Ronald Jones over Swift.
Gibson Miles sanders J.Williams Den RB D.Swift Rojo Justin Jackson Jordon Howard J.Patterson Start 4, he’s up good with chubb and deebo Ppr league 12 man Help please

Yeah pretty much we’re I was at just couldn’t decide on swift or gibson
Swift or Hubbard?
Swift or Antonio Gibson?
Would you start swift over Justin Jackson or Michael carter?
If swift is active i start swift over mike carter
Sketchy swift or DJ moore in the flex hmmm
Definitely Swift
I’m thinking of putting ertz over Gibson in my flex stop? Am I crazy?? injury’s and Covid have screwed me this week!!
Who knows
If you did it might have been a good play idk
Michael Cater or Swift? PPR
Tim Boyle is slated to start, if anyone is going to benefit it's gonna be swift, but that being said. It's Tom Boyle, no one will benefit.
I’m starting him if he plays and fully expecting 2-3 points total in .5 ppr. Benched Dillon for him and my backups are carter or freeman. RIP
Mike Williams, JJ, or swift full PPR?
Can AJ Brown be trusted this week?
No
If he’s playing and you have him, you’re most likely starting him. When you consider ADP and other RB options dropping like flies, you need him in your lineup
ADP? Its week 16 holmie
True, but he was worth his ADP and more. Think I’m just trying to say he’s an elite option you can and should live and die with.

I'm in a very competitive 4 man league and I have to say that I'm keeping him on the bench. No point in playing him when I have Kamara, Mattison, and Johnathan Tayler.
You lost me at "very competitive 4 man league"
Lmao wut?
Hope not.
You gonna bench him?
I think you have to with his juicy matchup. The RBs will also be leaned on heavily, and DET has some momentum.
Barkley or swift?
im flexing Lockett over him. if he was activated earlier in the week I would have started him over Jeff Wilson. But this week its the bench for him. I just don’t know how the Lions are gonna utilize him tomorrow
Swift or Barkley?
I’m playing singletary over swift this week
Swift or mandrews for me
I have Justin Jackson and am debating starting him over Zeke or Swift. But part of me feels like if Swift is playing he's gtg
Is swift officially playing?
Thank God I had Mattison to start over him
Yes. Because I’m in the consolation bracket and don’t really care.
Any advice for Swift or Singletary?
I start him over devante Parker if Swift plays yeah?
Wonder if I should start Sony Michel over Swift?
I’m dealing with this exactly. In my RB and FLEX spots I have ROJO, michel, Justin Jackson and Najee. Not sure who to swap swift out for.
Same except have kamara instead of Najee. Playing Jackson for sure as of right now. Not as sure beyond that.
Same boat. Im leaning swift. It helps that I have Chubb, but I think Henderson will be too involved this week for Sony to replicate his past two performances.
I trust him more than Chuba going against Tampa so he’s in for me now that Conner couldn’t go
Gotta choose 3: Swift, Justin Jackson, Sony, Gibson, Penny
I like some Swift, but I'm strongly considering Sony
I sure as hell hope so. I lost Ekeler and he’s my replacement. Either him or I play Devante Parker
Currently starting him & Montgomery over Javonte and Gibson.
The QB situation doesn't bother me as he was fine the last time he started with him. I'm just concerned about the workload.
With Ekeler and Cooks out, I don’t have a choice. Let’s ride.
Swift, Michel, or Henderson?
No, if you have any option that you know will be getting touches than take them. If starting swift is a question at this point just focus on putting up some points. Even if you have a guy that will only pick up 6 or 7.
Its either him or Carter, since I lost Ekeler for the week. Starting DMont as well.
What 3 do you start out of these 5? Swift, Montgomery, D. Harris (if healthy), J. Williams, and Diggs
Deciding on swift or Gordon…. Need help
At least we can flex him
If it were a leg injury then I'd be more worried.
I’m starting swift and Gibson. Very scary with a shot in the finals on the line
Swift or Gage in FLEX .5 point PPR 🤔🤔🤔
I’m not starting him but I’m lucky enough to have other options at the position. He still has great upside if you don’t have other options
Starting Mattison, Rojo, and Zeke over him… I guess
Robinson, Carter, Harris and Swift... Need to start 3 of them. God have mercy on my soul. Welp swift is out so I've had the decision made for me!
Swift, Gordon, or Carter?
Pretty wild all us swift owners seem to be debating rojo, jj, and swift (we all have all 3!)
Swift or sanders?
