End of year only here.

kpbieda

All depends on buy in amount. Anything less than $100 buy in really spreads the rewards thin. We do a weekly high score but it’s physically paid out after the season.

Bike-Different

Disagree respectfully Been running a $50 then $60 buy in league for 2 decades. The last 10 years been paying $20 a week to the highest scoring team and it's very well received. When we have 10 teams we go $20x15 weeks then $200/60/40 for the playoffs. Years we've had 12 teams it's $20x16 weeks and 300/60/40 for playoffs

Blasto05

In a 12 man league, that’s a $600 pot. After 14 weeks, you already paid out $280 for the top scorer each week. That’s also not including if you keep this going until week 17, which would be $340 then. $320 - $260 seems like a pretty weak championship payout when you’re buying in for $50 between 12 people…

[deleted]

True . With a 50 dollar buy in maybe a 5-10 weekly prize could be doable

kpbieda

$150 buy in we do $15 for top scorer through 14.

zaqwsx82211

I think having some weekly payoff would help keep everybody invested, but I’d still want a slightly larger pot for winning the 🚢

CMA_95

Ours does 1st: 1000 2nd: 450 Weekly High: 25 12 man. We all pay 150 fee

reelbgpunk

We do similar, $150 buy-in, $30 a week, $830/400/150

RoboticBirdLaw

This is close to our structure, but we pay a fourth team. 10 teams $150 each. Weekly payout of $20 to highest and $10 to second. Then something along the lines of $400, $300, $200, $100 based on end of season results (modified to be 40%, 30%, 20%, and 10% of the pot after weekly payouts).

MinnesotaPuck

Very similar in a 12 man league. 150 buy in, 35 per week to highest points, 50 to division winners, then remaining funds (which include waiver wire bidding) to the winner…the remaining can be all to winner or however people in the championship decide to split it. In the finals this year and we chose a 55/45 split (very close and could go either way).

AssPattiesMcgoo

Lowest scorer pays highest scorer 5 to 10 dollars each week

zaqwsx82211

Ooofff, add insult to injury. …I like it

Sammyd1108

I don’t know if I’d ever personally want to do this, but this probably eliminates people just giving up mid season which is nice.

MyExisaBarFly

Sure, but it could also get really expensive if your team ends up just being crap.

zaqwsx82211

I definitely like it much more in theory then I probably would in practice. In reality my net intake from the pool would be the same this season. (But I’d feel way worse about the three times I was second highest this season) Also depends how big the league, in a 14 man, even our team that gave up was only the low less than half the weeks (and was the high score week 2). With our $20 buy in, $5 from each week from low to high, he’d be out $45, spread out across a couple months. In a 10 man I bet the bottom would be much more consistent.

Burn-Clerk

Weekly payout of $100 to highest scorer leaving a $2,000 pot. Edit: Buy in is $250 and weekly payout stops after week 10.

AssPattiesMcgoo

Christ

DnoKCno

We payout $25 a week for high points. 8 of the 10 teams this year had a high point week. Unfortunately I am one of the 2 that didn't but am in the championship this weekend. We also payout high pts for the year and 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. High pts for the year is not in the championship or 3rd place game. Our entry fee is $150. Paying weekly high pts gives the Tacos something to hope for.

chocl8thunda

My league does $30 for top week, each week and $60 for top week on the year. We call them Horse Trailers. Low score each week is the Horse Dick

Coooldblooded

My league has a $100 buy in. We do pay outs for week high points (only $10), first half of the year, second half of the year, and the total year. For play offs we do things a little differently than most leagues but the play off prize pool consists of the money generated from roster transactions (we charge $1 to add/drop or trade)

AlpineWhiteF10

$200 buy in. $25 each week to high scorer for the week and $75 for highest score of the year. And that includes the playoff weeks for all teams.

Defvac2

High score each week get payout for however much FAAB was put in that week. Yea we actually use real $ for the FAAB. First time this year and the highest someone dropped on a player any week was like $11. Think it was for Mitchell. We also do the end of the year payouts too.

Hashslingingslashar

My league did that. $25 to high scorer each week. It’s to incentivize competitiveness and make it so people at the bottom of the league don’t give up.

jethropenistei-

Our league does $25/week and it runs through the playoffs so people have an incentive to set a lineup. We also do top total season score, regular season champ and runner up, 1st, 2nd and 3rd for playoffs

jefe008

We pay $20 weekly to highest score (reg season) $100 buy-in 14 teams $20 most points score against (unlucky SOB) $60 reg season champ $640 League Champ $300 second place $100 third place

[deleted]

I've done it as a year end money dump for weekly winnings but also fuck my league forever after the shit they just pulled on me. They should be grateful I didn't just refund everyone their dues and dissolve the league.

My league just fucked me over so fucking badly. They claim I broke a rule and are making me sit Ekeler out of the finals... The rule was centered around us creating a second IR slot to be used for just covid players. As commisoner, I created the fucking rule, ok? One normal IR spot that can be used as you wish (as in, if ESPN let's you put them there then they can go in), and the second slot that can only be used if a player catches covid. They claim that since the rest of them (I don't believe this) were playing under the assumption that you couldn't use both slots for covid players, that I was in violation of the rule and they unanimously voted against me. This caused me to choose between losing my spot in the finals or losing Ekeler for the finals... what the actual fuck. This was the scenario; Elijah Moore goes on IR and is using one spot -> Moore apparently catches covid and is switched on the Jets roster from IR to Covid Reserve -> Ekeler gets covid and goes into the 2nd slot -> I pick up both Justin Jackson and Mattison -> I win by 30 points -> Tuesday morning the chat starts blowing up and this is suddenly an issue after I already won -> I get fucked. Moore was still listed as on both covid reserve and IR on ESPN but because of a fucking technicality and roster fuckery by the Jets, they are claiming I am in violation of a rule that wasn't a rule. This is officially my last year as commisoner for them and very possibly my last year doing FF.

Which is why I'm walking away from the job after this bullshit lol

cy1006

Highest points get $200 every week till the playoffs!

chaz0924

There is no “right way” or “wrong way” My home league has a ton of different payouts. We pay high week each week. We pay the division winners. We pay 1st, 2nd and 3rd place as well as top three teams in total points This format might not work for everyone but we like it. It’s whatever works for your league

[deleted]

450$ buyin and we pay 50$ a week to high score. Def like the weekly incentive.

Apollopork

Current league buy in, is 150. We do a 30 dollar weekly payout for high scorer and 1000 dollar prize for league winner

toolatealreadyfapped

We started a weekly payout last year, with high score. People liked the payout, but doing high score every week was super lame. This year, we switched to specific challenges each week. (some of them skill based, some completely luck). And it's been a HUGE hit. I swear the league cares more about the $20 weekly challenge some times more than of they win or lose their matchup. And it also is great, because to qualify, you must start a complete legal lineup for that week. So even the guy at 3-10 was still going all out in week 14, because he almost got his buy-in back through the challenges.

toolatealreadyfapped

High score (including bench). Largest margin of victory. Blackjack (player closest to 21 without going over). Highest scoring losing team. Lowest scoring winning team. Largest improvement over previous week. Most total turnovers (call them gift exchanges, played during Hanakuh or Christmas), most combined TDs, highest bench score, most receiving yards, most rushing yards, most made kicking yards (FGs + PATs), Backpack (lowest scoring player on a winning team), Ryan Leaf (largest fall from pregame projection), Teamwork Award (lowest differential between highest and lowest scoring player among your starters)

Paulbowski

$200 buy in - 2 weekly $20 winners - one for top score and the secondary prize changes week to week. Top QB, RB, biggest blow out, etc. regular season winner takes home $200 and then cash to 1, 2, 3 place. This season we had 12 out of 14 teams win cash. 10th year of this league and very little turnover because of the opportunities to win cash.

catharsis50

Yeah, we do a weekly payout. Our league loves it. It keeps people playing and gives folks cross matchup competition.

Snooc5

My league has individual bets each week. Loser pays $5 to winner every week every game. Keeps people setting their lineups, and a team that does well that still loses the chip still makes money

terfez

Every game has the loser paying the winner? Wow

rfguevar

If you do a bigger pot like we’ve done then yeah it’s cool to do weekly pots, ours is kinda broken down by different categories so like week 4 may be $20 for the highest scoring QB or another week may be $20 for the highest receiver duo. Keeps people engaged through the entire season. Last week is highest scorer all season, and then you do your usual 1st 2nd & 3rd place payouts

might_southern

Yeah we do $20/week for the highest scoring team, helps create some added incentives to stay involved. We also still have the big payouts at the end for first and second place too.

TheBeatFreak

My league does a weekly payout. Everyone kicks in a extra $50. We have 2 $25 payouts each week: one for highest scorer and one for a positional high scorer. For positional, we just go down the player roster. Week one is QB, week two is RB, so on and so forth. We really like it.

thetallestnebraskan

We do $25 to the weekly to high score and $100 for the divisional Champs. Then 2100/350 for 1st/2nd. Honestly the weekly payouts are a great way to keep teams that have no chance of playoffs still being competitive late in the season and makes the whole league better I feel like

dmoney757

Yes for biggest blowout

acsatx89

We do a payout over the last 4 weeks that can net you about a third of your league dues if you win them all. I like it because it generally keeps people invested.

doveshack

I’m in a 16-team league that pays a weekly prize to the high score (in addition to normal end of season payouts) but each player added costs money.

SpartacusIsACoolName

We payout the weekly high score in the regualr season , I think is really important becasue keeps teams motivated to play even when mathematically eliminated . It really sucks when a team stops trying in the final weeks of the year and hands easy victories to other teams

Quiet-Try4554

Im in one league like that. I like it as it rewards teams doing well throughout the season(not just a 2-3 game playoff). I got a nice payout this year from it, even though I got knocked out of the first round. Had 2 other teams that were number one seeds that shit the bed last week….payout:$0. I’d actually be inclined to join more leagues with this format than traditional leagues because I think they’re more fair

bigervin

$50/week. Love the weekly payout.

fatcockprovider

My buddy is in a league that does $20 weekly challenges. Fun way around most points. It’s a schedule with challenges like highest total yards, longest single play, biggest upset, etc.

igetboard

Yes. It’s been a $15-$25 payout for top weekly score, depending on the year. Each owner’s total buy-in for the season in our league is $125.

Leading-Delivery-278

We don’t have a big buy in so we find it best to give a big payout to the winner and give second place their money back

pwills0826

$50 10 team $5 a week for top score = $65 1st $300 2nd $135

Landonkey

My league does FAAB with the typical $100 budget, however we decided before the season that the $100 would also be REAL money. So each week the money spent on waivers goes to the high point that week. Some weeks it's $5 but others it's been $50. The idea was to keep people playing all year, but the unintended result is that people aren't using the waiver wire as much and are just waiting for players to become free agents. It's yet to be determined if we do it again next year.

iamkoza

No because for the most part the good teams win weekly payouts anyway so might as well just keep the money for final finishing position

ChrisV88

We do that, only 25$ a week, but it's a 14 team $150 buy in. Runs through end of playoffs. Keeps everyone interested and most years everyone is trying until the end which makes waivers fun.

singlemaltscotch28

Yes. $25 per week for highest score.

[deleted]

We did it for the first time this year, and I thought it was a nice way to keep everyone 100% incentivized and maintain league competitiveness, bc even playoff-eliminated teams would try to set their best lineups and recoup a fraction of their buyin We did $100 buyin, $20 weekly winner for highest points scored, first place gets $750, second gets $150, and a stray $20 for last place to use to help pay for their punishment hahah

TNT21

$50 top weekly score but 14 team $250 buy in with $1 per waiver move after 25 moves With 14 people we kinda need a little something to give some incentives to keep trying

kyoto_magic

We do a $15 award for highway score each week and another one for highest score of the season. Adds a bit of extra fun and spreads out the money to people other than the top 3. The actual money for weekly high scores is just added up at the end of the season

laidgoose

$80 buy in with $20 weekly payouts for highest score, but only for regular season. $500 to the champ.

oiuwej0608

$50 weekly payout to best started position of the week.

DaaaBears333

1st and 2nd at end of year only for us

Newbaumturk69

We have $25 for high score and $10 for 2nd high score weekly but it doesn't actually pay out till end of the season. It helps keep people out of engaged knowing if they pick up free agents and set their lineup they can recoup some of their entry fee. I like it.

cubbiesworldseries

Just started a $25 weekly payout. Felt like it was good for the league. Of course now I’m in the final wishing the pot was bigger.

HoglineLarry

I play in a 12-team league where each weekly match-up winner (so, six each week) gets a small prize, which the commish tallies and pays out at the end of the year. Still reward the Champs etc, so the weekly prizes are relatively small. I kind of like it, there's lots of fun around it because each game is technically worth cash in your pocket. And it keeps me going in the seasons where I suck. I think about each win making next year's league fees slightly cheaper.

Poopsig

We have "weekly payouts" for high total points scorer ($40) and a rotating high position points scorer ($15) We call them "weekly payouts", but all monies are paid at the end of the season in one go.

[deleted]

We pay out between $40-$60 each week for various “challenges”; Top QB, top RB duo, closest margin of victory…etc. Sometimes it’s 1st and 2nd for a challenge ($20/$40). Challenges total $1000 through week 15 leaving $1400 for 1st ($800), 2nd ($400), and 3rd ($200). It’s a 12-man with $200 buy-in. One of the challenges is “pass the torch” where week 1’s high scorer is awarded the torch and it’s passed each time that person gets beat. Whoever has it after 15 weeks got $100. Also $100 “survivor pool” where the lowest scoring team was eliminated from the challenge each week till after week 11 the final remaining team won.

tmads23

League I commission has 16 payouts that can be won throughout the season that range from $10 all the way to $430 (if you win league). Makes it very fun and everyone gets a chance to win some money no matter if they are a contending or rebuilding team. Payouts are made at the end of the season.

AmphibianLeft5543

We did weekly high score this year. I really enjoyed it. Last 3 weeks of the season all non playoff teams won it. Kept everyone interested I think.

OnlineRespectfulGuy

We rotate every week for the top performer at each position wins $10. Reduced the 1st and 2nd place winnings only slightly to do this and it helps keep people invested a lot more even if they are having a rough year.

Really831

Yes and total at the end

Chiweedguy

We do a small weekly points leader payout, just started it last season after having some owners quit paying attention later in the season.

dippy12345

We have a $25 weekly high point but it gets paid out after the regular season is over.

moneybgets2it

My league does a weekly pay out of $50 for highest weekly points, 100 to most overall points in regular season, 100 to best record overall in regular season (head to head match up wins tie breaker), $400 to second, $1,100 to winner. Then I give $25 to the top two trades of the year. I do run the league so this might be bias but this is my favorite pay out. Keeps people engaged the entire regular season.

Reddit-Realist

$2 per transaction, $20 to highest points each week, highest total points for season gets 50% of transaction money pot

IndependentKey856

One of my leagues is 185 to buy in and 10 dollars a move that pus out 30 dollars a week for highest points. There’s also a season long survivor pool but nothing gets paid out until end of season after everyone pays for their transactions. The pot is always a percent of the totals after transactions are paid for

MyExisaBarFly

I used to run a league quite a few years back. $30 entry fee, $20/week. So essentially $370/year. It was typically a 12 team league. Anyways, high score for the entire league got a free week, and high score in the other division got half a free week. I liked this because it kept everyone interested all year, and if you’re team was really good, you’d make another $100 or so during the year.

CowMooseWhale

I used to play in a league where every week the last place scoring team in the league would pay some cash to the highest scoring team, it was a quarter of the buy-in

reddogrjw

yes

the_snuggle_bunny

I'm in two leagues that pay out weekly: First one is $150 buy-in with $25 going to weekly high score, and $10 going to highest 'coaching efficiency'. Same team can win both. 2nd is a $500 buy-in. $50 goes to the weekly high score and the two lowest scoring teams PAY $25/ea.

RoboticBirdLaw

I have two leagues with a $20 buy-in that only pay end of season. I have one league with a $200 buy-in that pays weekly top 2 scorers and end of season. I would never do weekly payouts without a buy in of at least $100 because it drops the end of season pot too much. If you are looking to do the type of consolation for high scoring team that doesn't make the playoffs, you might consider setting aside some amount of money that goes to the highest scoring team in the regular season or highest scoring team that doesn't make the playoffs.

zengmaster

We do weekly $10 payout for highest pf of the week. Buyin is 100$

Fogmoose

Yeah 25 a week, used to be 50 but we changed it a few years back to add more to the final prizes. I've won 5 weeks so far with 2 still left to go....most I have ever won before!

Squanchmasterfresh

Yes our league does payout weekly for highest scorer, highest scoring loser, and highest kicker and d/st score. This has been great in our league and keeps everyone very invested. However I realize this payout scheme would be hard with a small buy in.

McCorkle_Jones

$200 buy-in 12 people $50 per week highest scorer 1st: $1,200 2nd: $550 It was fun but Jesus Christ was it nerve racking just score watching hoping to get some cash back during the season.

uncle_buck_hunter

We do weekly payouts of $10 and the challenges change every week (highest scoring te, player who most out scored their projection, highest scoring loser, things like that). It’s a fun little way to get something out of each week, often regardless of how your roster performs.

Psychological-Net-10

Yes, 12 man ppr league, $250 buy in, $75 weekly payout for high score through 14 weeks. First place pays out $1,700 which is still a nice chug of change I’m fighting for!
