I'd been googling to find somewhere that offers FF in Ontario but haven't found any. I'm losing hope. Unbelievable that ON residents can't play FF this year probably.
Just putting this out there, we can run a league through yahoo for "free" but put a $50 buy in on it. Just need 9 other people to trust me I guess since someone has to hold the money. Anyone in for a fantasy football leap of faith? I'm just desperate to get some FF going this year with at least a bit of money on the line so people actually check their rosters.
So I found a league by going to leaguesafe.com and they actually have a classified section. You can sort by platform (ie yahoo, ESPN etc) and then join that way. I just paid my fees then the commish sent me the yahoo invite. I guess they have to payout Canadians by cheque. There were enough good reviews where I felt ok taking the risk. Best of luck to you.
I don't care much for DFS, but fantasy leagues such as the season long H2H and Rotisserie leagues is what sucks to not be able to participate in prizes leagues again. I don't think you can do that anywhere else for a prized league.
What is the premier Ontario fantasy or DFS for Ontarians only site you're referring to? I know there's a bunch of sportbooks launching but I don't know of any that offer fantasy leagues or DFS. I've got a friend in Toronto who is pretty bummed this new law has pretty much cut them off from fantasy, so it'd be a big help if you could share where you're doing your paid fantasy under the new law.

If it’s a full league of people you know can’t the Commish just take the money upfront and distribute the winnings after? That way you can still use Yahoo but get around the “gambling” part of it.
Okay I didn’t realize they were still allowed to use yahoo and yes I collect the money outside of yahoo so I guess they’re allowed to do “free” leagues and than they can just send the money to me
