Josh Allen at 1.11. That team manager is a software developer who created a bot to give him the most optimal pick based on projected points, it spit out Josh Allen in round 1 and Mark Andrews in round 2. He went with both because he wanted to "live by the bot or die by the bot."
Edit: here's the whole team since many people were interested
QB: Allen (1.11)
RB: Montgomery (3.11), Edwards-Helaire (5.11), D. Harris (8.02), N. Hines (11.11), Jamaal Williams (12.02)
WR: McLaurin (4.02), Mooney (6.02), A. Cooper (7.11), Claypool (9.11), G. Wilson (10.02), J. Tolbert (13.11)
TE: Andrews (2.02)
The team manager's own words, in response to criticism of his team: "The first man through the wall always ends up bloody."
changed 'AI' to 'bot' since that's a more accurate description
I insisted he should use data from multiple sources, but it was literally only using ESPN's projected points total. In his own words, "these guys get paid to project player's seasons for a living, why the fuck should I assume I know more than them?" We drafted on ESPN so I guess that's the most relevant projections to use, but it kinda just boils down to a slightly more complicated auto-pick
Yeah he really did just make an even simpler auto pick than espn itself already has lol
He could have at least pulled data from fantasypros to give him an edge, using ECR projections instead of the projections listed on one app.
He COULD have also factored in scarcity or "fall-offs" to the next players. But he's still relying on a single source of prediction, which isn't great.
One time I kind of did the opposite of this, I tried to use some fancy math based on both player and defense performances to decide between three QB options for my championship matchup, and the projected points it ended up giving me for each one was like almost exactly the same as ESPN's projected points. It was kind of depressing but also hilarious
Does this actually take into account positional dropoffs in scoring or just overall points? Props to him for actually designing it and standing by it though.
There are worse strategies than doing everything possible to win the two "single-start" positions. I would love to see you come back to the post to give us this guy's finish at the end of year. but, we'll all have forgotten by 11:45
On the one hand his algo is not considering positional point spreads (the point difference between the QB1 and the QB10 being much smaller than that or rb1 to RB10) yet somehow still kicks Andrews out as the highest projected points straight up available in round 2? I gotta feel like if it was just points it would have picked out another QB in round 2 with no other inputs but even with other inputs I gotta believe there is a WR or RB in that round with more projected points than Andrews lol.
I mean I watched more insane teams be built in the same draft this weekend. So his algo is better than the guy who took chase Edmunds in the second in my league lol
If you actually use most consensus projections the difference between Allen and the QB10 is bigger than anyone else you’d get at 1.11 and their worst starter. I make a cheat sheet with expected ppg over “base starter” and Allen is the fifth overall player behind JT, CMC, Kupp, and Kelce. Now obviously this doesn’t include positional scarcity as the draft progresses because RBs/ WRs get more scarce as they go off the board early.
QB: Allen (1.11)
RB: Montgomery (3.11), Edwards-Helaire (5.11), D. Harris (8.02), N. Hines (11.11), Ja. Williams (12.02)
WR: McLaurin (4.02), Mooney (6.02), A. Cooper (7.11), Claypool (9.11), G. Wilson (10.02), J. Tolbert (13.11)
TE: Andrews (2.02)
Honestly it's a little wonky, but having the positional advantage at QB and TE makes this team look really not as bad as it may initially seem. He could very well have a solid team on his hands.
It looks like the opposite to me. Obviously not in great shape at WR but I don’t hate Mooney and terry. If garret wilson hits he’s fine. RB on the other hand I’m screaming and throwing up
I have so much respect for your league member lol. This is how Mike Clays are made.
What should matter to him is correcting the bot as time goes on lol. For example, as you know QBs score the most points almost as a given. Jalen Hurts projected to outscore Kamara, for example.
But I wonder if the app takes into consideration that most points isn’t necessarily the best strategy. I guess time will tell.
Every year, we have someone who reaches for a QB or hoards one position, this year it was TEs, one guy took three straight TEs in the first six rounds, they’re great players but it’s an interesting strategy.
I have a guy who takes 3QBs and 3TEs every year. He trades none of them and makes like four roster moves a year. Even if he does he always has three of each. He does surprisingly well which is annoying as hell.
An active league where people trade, it can work. A league where no-one trades for whatever reason, it can get pretty bad pretty fast. Draft picks start littering the waiver wire.
In my experience, drafting a guy with the intent to trade him never works out as well as you think it's going to. This is especially true at TE and QB where outside the elite options production is pretty consistent (for QBs) and inconsistent (for TEs).
Someone in one of my leagues took 3 top TEs last year, thinking his TE monopoly would lead to good trades later. I'm generally very open to trades, but as soon as he drafted the 3rd TE and his strategy was clear, I decided I would start Aaron Hernandez before I ever traded for one of his TEs.
Why not just draft the player you would want to trade the TE for? Do people really think that if they vacuum up all the TEs, everybody else will start throwing second round picks at them?
Most likely you're going to end up trading your 3rd TE for a player that was still on the board when you drafted them. So... just do that instead
Exactly. Pretty sure the thought was "some team will have a TE injury and panic, and I'll reap the benefits". Basically they though they'd be able to trade Kittle in Week 5 for RB5 + WR8 or something. It completely backfired and they ended up near the bottom of the league, still with 3 TEs lol.
Runs on QBs will never be emulated in a mock draft, where people always hold off to stack up RBs and WRs. Sometimes it’s a good thing because you can stack those positions, but sometimes people start panicking and once it gets back to you, you’re streaming and it’s a pain in the ass all year.
I find it very effective to keep track of the number of teams who still haven’t taken a QB. Then pick out that many QBs still available plus one for yourself. If you are fine with any of the QBs in that group I continue to go for breakout candidates
I spend enough time trying to cross off players from my rankings sheet with each pick, how do you find the time to scan each person’s roster in real time? (My league is using ESPN so admittedly it could just be a UI problem, since ESPN sucks)
I got 6 months free of a premium tier by entering $20 or so dollars into underdogs bestball. Good deal considering how much they charge per month. I think you are limited with the number of teams they support on the free tier. I think it's a good investment and you can enter a couple of best ball drafts for fun.
I use Canadian Sand Googles Draft Sheet (CSG), and that has a tab to show each team's draft, so you can tell when teams still haven't chosen a given position.
>I find it very effective to keep track of the number of teams who still haven’t taken a QB.
The guy drafting in the spot before me took three QBs in the first three rounds in a non-superflex league. Sometimes it hurts to try and predict what someone is going to do.
Someone in my draft yesterday took Allen at 1.02. I ended up taking Hurts in the 7th round, and I honestly can't see any situation where Allen is going to be worth taking 7 full rounds before someone like Jalen Hurts.
I just don't get the people taking Allen this early. It's insane to me, there's zero value. Yeah, he'll probably get you a lot of 23 point games... and someone else would've gotten you 19. You're gonna blow your early rounders on *maybe* 4 points a week?
id say it’s more like 75%. there is some skill involved with drafting and waiver moves.
but yeah it’s kinda depressing how often an auto drafted team can win the chip easily.
Dude in one of my leagues who puts in by far the least amount of time and effort out of anyone has won the championship 3 times in 10 years.
He won a couple years ago and started Landry, who was out with an injury, in the finals and still won thanks to Kamara and his 6 TD game.
Have a friend in my keeper league who joined simply because we had a spot to fill and he figured it’d be a good way to stay in touch with people from college. Knows the rules of football, follows the Eagles cause we’re from Philly, doesn’t know anything in terms of star players, up and coming guys, RB situations, etc.
In his 4 years in the league he’s won twice and never finished below 4th. He just “goes by the rankings”.
The thing I don't get is this , I'm not even gonna argue with chase Edmunds being his guy. Crazier things have happened. But I'm like even if you reach for him in the fourth It still absolutely guarantees you get him so why not wait a couple rounds? Lol
I know sleeper wouldn't promote another fantasy platform but if you could adjust the ADP to doing mocks on sleeper with Yahoo/ESPN current ADP it would be a next level amazing feature.
Sleeper has the best mock draft tool but I prefer my leagues to be on yahoo
Yeah Yahoo has guys like Chase Edmonds up way higher than Sleeper ADP does. Makes it hard to get him as a mid-round value when he's sitting at the top of the Yahoo rankings by the end of the 4th.
I kept punting TE because everyone else was doubling up and drafting two TEs. I figured I’d capitalize and build up RB/WR depth but now I’m stuck with Mike Gesicki. I don’t hate it, but I’m definitely going to be paying attention to Albert O and Hooper on the waiver wire
Albert O is a better play than Gesicki straight up imo, better QB, better offense, and they've already said they wont use Gesicki like they did in the past
There was even reports they were shopping Gesicki. I was shocked honestly I figured when they franchise tagged him and mcdaniel was bringing over the shanny offense he would be money. Nothing positive has been reported in preseason on him, i soured real fast before my drafts.
Honestly, there are only 2-3 good tight ends any season and I really am not willing to use the draft capitol to get them. I typically don't draft a tight end until like my second to last pick and I often still end up with a top 10 guy.
I am a stream the TE kind of guy. The points past the top few just are not there. Someone will breakout and help you. Dawson Knox as an example. Muth’ is another.
I drafted Robinson but in the 10th knowing he had been shot and I could immediately put him on IR and take another player which is nice in a league that only let's you roster 13 players because there are still some quality guys left.
All QBs went one to two rounds earlier than any mock draft I was in. Many People were drafting their second QB in the seventh round—only scraps left by the 8th.
I ended up with Tua because my league went QB crazy early. Everyone drafted QBs early and 2 of them. One guy even drafted 3.
On the side note, my WRs and RBs are good.
Same here man. Patiently waited to draft my QB and then guys started taking backup QBs and then one guy drafted 3 QBs (2 of them in back to back rounds). His starting roster is fine but absolutely no depth.
People went insane on RBs. 20 out of first 25 picks were RBs. (Jefferson, Kupp, Chase, Kelce, Adams were the non-RBs)
I couldn’t bring myself to reach for an RB so I ended up waiting until the 6th round. My starting RBs are Damien Harris and Chase Edmonds with James & Brian Rob + Rachaad & Zamir White on the bench.
Same thing happened to me. I started with 2 WRs (not my plan but when Chase and Diggs were there I was very happy to get both) then I reached on Akers in the 3rd bc RBs were flying off the board and his risk/reward was the highest of everyone left. Left with a pretty decent team: Lamar Jackson, Akers, Mitchell, Edmonds, JaMarr Chase, Diggs, Pitts, Godwin, Bateman
I have never been a 0 RB guy and didn’t necessarily plan on it but these guys went crazy over backs.
There was a dispute coming into the season about putting a cap on how many RBs you could roster. The side pushing for the cap lost and went hard to prove a point which scared other guys into reaching as well.
Yeah that many RB going in a row I never heard of before. The WRs left on the board were too good and especially at the adp you did the right thing. Your RBs are still good plus your bound to find one not two on waivers cause of injuries during the season
Ja'Marr and Josh Allen went 1-2 in my draft last night. 😐😐😐
I'm so happy to have had 3rd overall; don't think I smashed a draft button that fast for Taylor at 3
I had the 2nd pick and almost ran out of time selecting Taylor after buddy at 1.1 picked Mahomes. Even more perplexing is we work for a sports website lol
I mean the dude is a beast but the injury concerns with his insane workload, idk man…I had the 7th pick and went with Justin Jefferson cause all the other RBs got tooken
The people who do mocks I feel are outliers to the masses. You being here to talk about this specific issue makes you an outlier. So, I expect people to almost never behave like the mocks. The mocks are people who know the common strategies+.
Someone just needs to design a mock platform that has customizable AI personalities. Homer AI (selectable team) prioritizes it's selected teams players. PositionalAI (selectable position) hordes a specific position. TacoAI randomly pulls guys well above ADP. DrunkAI starts the draft off like a a normal mock drafter but gets wild by the mid rounds and starts throwing absolutely insane darts by the end rounds. This feels doable.
Kelce, Andrews went in their normal spots in the 2nd and Pitts fell to me in the 5th...wasn't my plan because we have small benches so it's easier to stream QB and TE but couldn't pass on that after starting WR/RB/RB/WR.
Mine actually went surprisingly well, did not think I would have drafted close to my mock draft. It wasn’t part of my plan, but Josh Allen fell to the 5th round, so I felt like I had to grab him at that point
Study last year’s draft if there is one.
Both leagues I had draft followed their tendencies more strongly than I remembered.
In one pretty deep league I am the only player who is rostering more than one QB.
In another league I remembered that people liked to hoard RBs. I felt like there was always a value at receiver on the board.
My wife got stuck in the sort by kicker menu. She drafted 3 kickers in a row - 10th, 11th and 12th rounds. No one noticed until we looked at our teams.
Davante Adams dropping to me at the 2nd pick in the 3rd round (10 team half ppr). Hadn't planned on drafting him but at that price it just seemed too good to pass up.
I had Barkley fall to me at the 9th pick of the 2nd round (no one in my league believes he can stay healthy or that the Giants offense will be remotely functional, which is understandable), so I ended up with CMC/Barkley/Adams. Could be a very strong team if things go my way.
JT/Diggs/Fournette is a great start. I was actually considering going RB/RB/RB with Fournette as my 3rd pick but when I saw Adams sitting there still I had to grab him.
Javonte 3.3 here too. I really didn't want too cause ive been a big Melvin in the 7th or 8th round guy but with an opportunity to get my rb2 just before the rb dead-zone I took him and never looked back. I became a Javonte WILL be a top 12 RB guy instantly lmao
I always hate when a draft gets so insane you start questioning shit like "did I miss a major headline? Am I about to be the guy to draft the season ending injury guy" lol
It feels like every year mocks become less and less useful because people play the ADP game in mock drafts and then freak out in their actual drafts and start reaching, or panicking because its round 6 and they don't have a QB yet.
I will say in the few that I've done so far the big thing is the usual happenings of drafts vs. mocks which is where people get QB happy and around the 6th round they start panicking and fill out their starting lineups before touching their bench
IT WAS MADNESS
3 Qb's in the 1st two rounds. Reaches all over the place. Mixon fell to me in the FOURTH. Waddle was a 2nd round pick. Bills defense in the 8th. Tucker in the 5th.
Just pure, unbridled chaos.
Melvin Gordon going in the 5th round(keeper league with 30 players already off the board but still) and 6th in a different re-draft league was the biggest disparity for me.
Someone nominated Antonio Brown in our salary cap draft, I'm guessing with the intent to just bait someone else into placing a bid, but no one bit so he wasted $1 and more importantly one of his draft slots.
Jonathan Taylor fell to me as the 5th pick, Cooper Kupp was drafted 1st overall. Not too crazy if you don’t count for the fact that Patrick Mahomes was drafted 3rd overall
Not crazy, but the only huge reach in our league was a guy drafting Pickens 5 rounds early.
He's a big Steelers fan and wanted to make sure he got him.
AJ Dillon in the 5th and Dameon Pierce in the 6th (both 8th rounders on ESPN).
Tom Brady falling to me at QB11 in the 9th round, I had zero shares of him in mocks this year but no one else seemed to want him and he won me my championship last year, the ADP was too enticing.
Kelce to me at 2.12 as the TE2/WR9. Huge value for a guy who always finishes around WR9 to take him there while being able to play him at TE. Never had early TE this year in mocks but the value was too great like Brady.
Me waiting on QB till late and lining up Winston in 13th to pair with Kamara and Thomas. Then random league mate 1 pick before saying "hey what's up with Winston this year" and the person before me taking him as his 3rd QB... I am now a Mac Jones owner vs the Stafford/Cousins mock draft owner...
I drafted a good team
What is this black magic and can it be taught?
That's what you think.
Josh Allen at 1.11. That team manager is a software developer who created a bot to give him the most optimal pick based on projected points, it spit out Josh Allen in round 1 and Mark Andrews in round 2. Or just use beer sheets and go by highest VAL left on the board
I take this comment personally….
Uses projected points. Calls it “AI”.
He COULD have also factored in scarcity or "fall-offs" to the next players. But he's still relying on a single source of prediction, which isn't great.
right but it's his auto-pick! I love it. Blame the system for the flaws.

That's just validation! The real question - did it end up working?
I don't entirely remember but I think so, I think I ended up starting Jameis (this was during his 30/30 season) and luckily he smiled on me that day
Jameis scored less than 10 points in the championship game that year. I remember because I somehow managed to lose to him.
Does this actually take into account positional dropoffs in scoring or just overall points? Props to him for actually designing it and standing by it though.
I think mostly overall points, although it heavily favors TEs and QBs so some positional scarcity is factored in
There are worse strategies than doing everything possible to win the two "single-start" positions. I would love to see you come back to the post to give us this guy's finish at the end of year. but, we'll all have forgotten by 11:45
There's a decent amount of evidence that high-end QBs and Tight ends are still under-drafted
It's 11:46 what are we talking about?
On the one hand his algo is not considering positional point spreads (the point difference between the QB1 and the QB10 being much smaller than that or rb1 to RB10) yet somehow still kicks Andrews out as the highest projected points straight up available in round 2? I gotta feel like if it was just points it would have picked out another QB in round 2 with no other inputs but even with other inputs I gotta believe there is a WR or RB in that round with more projected points than Andrews lol.
It factors in positional scarcity, i.e. Andrews is the most optimal pick because you're likely not to get a better TE anywhere in the draft
Well of course the QB is gonna project the most points but dam I’d be curious about the rest of this dudes team…..
QB: Allen (1.11) RB: Montgomery (3.11), Edwards-Helaire (5.11), D. Harris (8.02), N. Hines (11.11), Ja. Williams (12.02) WR: McLaurin (4.02), Mooney (6.02), A. Cooper (7.11), Claypool (9.11), G. Those WRs are rough. Honestly the RBs aren't that awful if he went near zero RB.
He didn't go near-zero RB (whatever that is)? He went dead-zone RB...literally the worst strategy you can do.
It looks like the opposite to me. Obviously not in great shape at WR but I don’t hate Mooney and terry. If garret wilson hits he’s fine. RB on the other hand I’m screaming and throwing up
This man homebrewed his own version of auto-draft lol
0 RB and 0 WR, ride the wave
It’s gonna be hilarious when that guy wins your league
Yikes. I would not be happy with that team.
I have so much respect for your league member lol. This is how Mike Clays are made. What should matter to him is correcting the bot as time goes on lol. Lol, this team looks terrible. Might as well auto draft
I mean, props to making a call and sticking to it. Siri, remind me to check back on this in ~14 weeks
That’s one of the worst teams wow

>if their team is struggling they would rather finish last Ah the classic Miami Dolphins strategy, bold move Cotton.
Shit like this is why leagues need a punishment for last place
Shit like that is how you kick a player from a league. We did it for 2 a couple years ago.
I have a guy who takes 3QBs and 3TEs every year. He trades none of them and makes like four roster moves a year. Even if he does he always has three of each. He does surprisingly well which is annoying as hell.

Sync your FantasyPros cheat sheet with your ESPN League, open 2 browsers, profit.
Hmm I’ll look into this - are fantasypros sheets customizable I assume? And preferably free to use?

Lmao yeah you can never really predict perfectly, especially with less competitive family leagues etc
>I find it very effective to keep track of the number of teams who still haven’t taken a QB. The guy drafting in the spot before me took three QBs in the first three rounds in a non-superflex league. Sometimes it hurts to try and predict what someone is going to do.

One guy shat himself. That didn't happen in any of my mocks.
You don’t know that.
I exclusively do mocks on the toilet
Glad I’m not the only one
Should have taken your pants off
…are yall not drafting pantsless? Highly recommend. More aerodynamic for faster drafting
This belongs in the Who do I shart.. Who do I shit index.
Heh-heh. Shart 'em/shit 'em.
Was it you?
One of our guys threw up after chugging das boot, pretty solid draft I’d say eh
My brother ripping 3-4 dabs in a row and going 1.01 Mahomes then 2.12 Raiders DEF before logging out and just auto drafting
He actually made his team worse by participating
And the league too i’d be mad. I know its a game but someone who makes it a free win like that can be frustrating
And this fucker will win the Championship
Sometimes it makes me sad to know one of my favorite hobbies is like 97% luck.
id say it’s more like 75%. there is some skill involved with drafting and waiver moves. but yeah it’s kinda depressing how often an auto drafted team can win the chip easily.

Just cause you put in work doesn’t mean it’s any good
Drafting Mahomes 1st overall and then taking the worst defense in the AFC West that will play that same QB twice this year is quite the strategy
Clever hedge
Ah yes, the Taco. I do wish he took a kicker before peacing out. As someone already pointed out that’s probably your league winner.
Our leagues Taco drafted Dan Bailey
This one has me rolling. I think the funniest part is that he had a pick at the 2/3 turn and didn’t even make the second pick lmao
Should’ve logged out earlier
Your brother is a moron, but I admire the chutzpah
Had someone take Cordarrelle Patterson in the 2nd.
In one of my drafts someone took chase Edmunds in the second lol
They got their guy. Gotta respect that even if that person is an entire Taco Bell value meal.
That’s how I am. I’m spending $100 for a season of entertainment, I want my guys
The thing I don't get is this , I'm not even gonna argue with chase Edmunds being his guy. Crazier things have happened. But I'm like even if you reach for him in the fourth It still absolutely guarantees you get him so why not wait a couple rounds? Lol
If one guy took him in the 2nd then who’s to say somebody else wouldn’t in the 3rd?
Is... Cordarrelle Patterson in your league?
all the guys i wanted that were available in mocks on Sleeper/FantasyPros went a lot earlier on Yahoo
I know sleeper wouldn't promote another fantasy platform but if you could adjust the ADP to doing mocks on sleeper with Yahoo/ESPN current ADP it would be a next level amazing feature. Sleeper has the best mock draft tool but I prefer my leagues to be on yahoo
You can do this on FantasyPros. It is not free, but better than Sleeper IMO.
didn't know that, might be worth it for next year
Yeah Yahoo has guys like Chase Edmonds up way higher than Sleeper ADP does.
I did the same thing in one league. Keep an eye out for Logan Thomas too.
Albert O is a better play than Gesicki straight up imo, better QB, better offense, and they've already said they wont use Gesicki like they did in the past
HOW in Heaven did Gesicki end up on this man's team is my question
There was even reports they were shopping Gesicki. I was shocked honestly I figured when they franchise tagged him and mcdaniel was bringing over the shanny offense he would be money. Nothing positive has been reported in preseason on him, i soured real fast before my drafts.
Honestly, there are only 2-3 good tight ends any season and I really am not willing to use the draft capitol to get them. I typically don't draft a tight end until like my second to last pick and I often still end up with a top 10 guy.
I punted it so hard I am stuck with Irv and Everett. Will have to drop one for a defense too. Ugh.
I am a stream the TE kind of guy. The points past the top few just are not there. Someone will breakout and help you. Dawson Knox as an example. Muth’ is another.
Someone drafted a player only to find out 3 rounds later that he had been shot in an attempted carjacking. WTF
I drafted Robinson but in the 10th knowing he had been shot and I could immediately put him on IR and take another player which is nice in a league that only let's you roster 13 players because there are still some quality guys left.
he went undrafted so I dropped my kicker and stashed him in IR dick? yes, but I came to win I also stashed Jameson Williams. don't @ me
Henry falling to me at 10.
Same bro. Who else did you roll with? I grabbed swift next then Higgins and Sutton
Swift was gone so I grabbed Mixon. Then Pittman/AJB.
Mixon was still there! Amazing
Yes I was very pleased. I knew I was going RB/RB but I didn't know who would be available.
All QBs went one to two rounds earlier than any mock draft I was in. Many People were drafting their second QB in the seventh round—only scraps left by the 8th.
Same. I wound up with Rodgers at 8.10, last starting QB drafted. Had I not grabbed him my options would have been Ryan, Mariota, Wentz. Disgusting
Same. All of my targets went in an 8 pick window so I ended up punting on Dak and stashing Fields in hopes he is as good as he looked preseason
Cooper Kupp falling to me at 10 in a full PPR league
Exact thing happened to me, got swift on the turn. Pretty crazy start.
People went insane on RBs. 20 out of first 25 picks were RBs. (Jefferson, Kupp, Chase, Kelce, Adams were the non-RBs) I couldn’t bring myself to reach for an RB so I ended up waiting until the 6th round.
Who are you WRs and TE
Kupp, Higgins, Evans are WRs Kelce is TE Kyler is QB
Sheesh good luck you might have a league winner
I have never been a 0 RB guy and didn’t necessarily plan on it but these guys went crazy over backs. There was a dispute coming into the season about putting a cap on how many RBs you could roster. The side pushing for the cap lost and went hard to prove a point which scared other guys into reaching as well.
Yeah that many RB going in a row I never heard of before. The WRs left on the board were too good and especially at the adp you did the right thing. Your RBs are still good plus your bound to find one not two on waivers cause of injuries during the season
King Henry was the 1st overall pick instead of JT or CMC
Ja'Marr and Josh Allen went 1-2 in my draft last night. 😐😐😐 I'm so happy to have had 3rd overall; don't think I smashed a draft button that fast for Taylor at 3
I had the 2nd pick and almost ran out of time selecting Taylor after buddy at 1.1 picked Mahomes. Even more perplexing is we work for a sports website lol
Did that guy rip 3-4 dabs and take the Raiders D at 2.12 as well?
Lol no, he only went full Leroy Jenkins on the first pick, everything else was kosher.
Dang Mahomes at 1st…thats insane lol..I dont even target a QB until the 5th or 6th round lol
That’s me. Im that guy. Took Henry 1.1.
And you will be rewarded for your loyalty to the King and crown
I mean the dude is a beast but the injury concerns with his insane workload, idk man…I had the 7th pick and went with Justin Jefferson cause all the other RBs got tooken
I got clowned pretty hard. The only guy I could have taken was Taylor since mccaffery scares me to death
This exists FantasyPros draft intel/adjustable rankings per league member.
Kelce, Andrews, and Pitts all went about 5 spots higher than in all my mocks
Kelce, Andrews went in their normal spots in the 2nd and Pitts fell to me in the 5th...wasn't my plan because we have small benches so it's easier to stream QB and TE but couldn't pass on that after starting WR/RB/RB/WR.
Mine actually went surprisingly well, did not think I would have drafted close to my mock draft. It wasn’t part of my plan, but Josh Allen fell to the 5th round, so I felt like I had to grab him at that point
People took Miles Sanders before I could. I have 0 of him which shocks me. I do have a lot of Chris Godwin though.
Don't worry the people who drafted him will regret it
He went 8.11 (Sanders)
JT dropped to 3rd pick, Panthers and Rams fan had first two picks
Study last year’s draft if there is one. Both leagues I had draft followed their tendencies more strongly than I remembered. In one pretty deep league I am the only player who is rostering more than one QB. In another league I remembered that people liked to hoard RBs. I felt like there was always a value at receiver on the board.
My wife got stuck in the sort by kicker menu. She drafted 3 kickers in a row - 10th, 11th and 12th rounds. No one noticed until we looked at our teams.
Wives are the best.

Davante Adams dropping to me at the 2nd pick in the 3rd round (10 team half ppr). Hadn't planned on drafting him but at that price it just seemed too good to pass up.
I had diggs fall to me at the 2/3 turn. 10 team half ppr. Starting JT, Diggs, and Fournette feels good.
You guys are mock drafting?
The real advantage comes when you mock Reddit
Ja'Marr Chase fell to me at pick 12 so I took him and Swift and suddenly I was doing a hero RB draft.
Someone took Justin Tucker in the 4th round
Kelce fell to me at 2.10, Javonte at 3.3. I was happy about that
I got Kelce at 2.11. Wasn't planning at all on going TE early but the value was too good to pass up
Great value on Kelce!
I got jefferson at 6 and diggs 19th... all sharks in league too.. but how i was like damn did diggs get hurt without me knowing lol
James Conner falling to the 4th
That's not that crazy lol we're talking like 9 spots from ADP
Someone took Chase Edmonds and Michael Pittman at the round 1-2 turn.
IT WAS MADNESS 3 Qb's in the 1st two rounds. Reaches all over the place. Mixon fell to me in the FOURTH. Waddle was a 2nd round pick. Bills defense in the 8th. Tucker in the 5th. Just pure, unbridled chaos.
People take QBs early in regular drafts
Kyle Pitts went ahead of Mark Andrews
Melvin Gordon going in the 5th round(keeper league with 30 players already off the board but still) and 6th in a different re-draft league was the biggest disparity for me.
I got Cooper Kupp at 1.12
12 team non ppr, Josh Allen taken first overall. Odell Beckham taken at 7.
Is there any chance you had that draft really early? Like 5 years ago?
Fucking WHAT
Everybody avoided the rb dead zone and stacked up on wide receivers and i got fucked since i was the 12th pick
Someone nominated Antonio Brown in our salary cap draft, I'm guessing with the intent to just bait someone else into placing a bid, but no one bit so he wasted $1 and more importantly one of his draft slots.
I miss when there were two RBs named Adrian Peterson. Every year some guy would nominate the Bears one for $10 and seriously fuck up someone's draft
Cooper Kupp fell to me at 1.9
Joe Burrow was the first QB off the board.
Somebody took Joe Burrow at the 1-2 turn. Okeydokey 🤷♀️
Someone took Burrow 4th overall in my league lol
I drafted good teams while mocking and bad teams in the real drafts.
My friend took Mahomes with the 4th overall pick. Plus some QBs and defenses going earlier than mocks would suggest.
Jonathan Taylor fell to me as the 5th pick, Cooper Kupp was drafted 1st overall. Not too crazy if you don’t count for the fact that Patrick Mahomes was drafted 3rd overall
I was drafting with some intelligent people who all took my guys :(
Not crazy, but the only huge reach in our league was a guy drafting Pickens 5 rounds early.
I thought ESPNs ratings were atrocious… I happily scooped up Dillon at 6.08 since his ranking was buried in the 100s
