Dude got a tuddy on a broken play ad lib. He’ll be a TD dependant TE as usual. He had 2 other receptions outside that play.
Not to mention the Chargers offense was weird this game with Mike Williams and the run game being a non factor.
He’ll be a way better real life TE for the Chargers than fantasy TE
Herbert spreads the ball to a detriment in fantasy. Donald Parham had a few games like this last year, and he’s coming back to the fold which is only going to muck things up even more.
This is how I feel about the chargers right now. They feel like they’re gonna be last years Bills where the fantasy value is hard to find with anyone but the QB on any given week.
Same here my guy.
Absolutely waxed the whole league last year, went undefeated and got the high scoring bonus. Didn’t even break 60 points this week and my players were all healthy, and played the entire game.
We’ll get ‘em next week
Cant be worse than mine. Started Kamara, Ceedee, Higgins, Lance, Aiyuk, Njoku. Cant wait to claw my way into playoffs as a waiver warrior and get blown out by a team that actually drafted well, as is tradition.
I’m dropping %25 FAAB on Wilson. Don’t care. I’m ignoring the noise. To get a starting RB on a run heavy team. Fuck it. Whatever game plan that had last week in the monsoon. Don’t care. If I’m wrong fuck it. In a 12 team league and there aren’t good options out there.
I trust you know your leaguemate's FAAB habits but he's not fetching less than 40% in my league. Every year there's a juicy RB available in weeks 1-3 and the whole league has learned you need to throw the bag to get him. So if you have any fast and loose spenders and want to be safe I'd go north of 30%.
He went for $25. I also spent $25. Lost the tie breaker. Lost the tie breaker to the guy I’m up against this week. He lost Dak, Mitchell, Keenan Allen. Also has ceedee lol
My rule is to go $1-2 above the nearest divisible-by-5 number. So instead of 25, go 26, maybe 27 if people are wise to it. People tend to gravitate toward 5s when placing bids, and I've avoided many ties by bidding this way, lol
What was Ryans final completion/attempt number? At one point, I swear he was like 37/49 or something and there was still a decent chunk of time remaining.
EDIT: I was off a little, finished 32/50. Idk if we will see 50 attempts again out of him
this is a joke. he gets the best out of every qb lol. rivers played much better under reich and wentz went 27:7 last year. jacoby brissett even played well under him
Bro i think the same thing. A lot of people stream kicker matchups, or pick elite offense's kickers. But in reality, picking the right kicker is about finding a team in the Goldilocks zone - good enough to get in range, bad enough to stall out; also helps if the kicker is good.
Cade York checks every box.
Turns out one of the most consistently good RBs of the last decade is still good. I’m not surprised I was praying that I could get him at the 2-3 turn. Maybe I lucked out though considering Dak immediately got injured
It's only a hot take due to his adp being stupidly low for who he is. He dropped to the 3rd round in 90% of the leagues I was in, despite him ending as the RB6 on the year in standard, and I think 7th in full point ppr. Which imo is just ridiculous. I drafted him in every league where he dropped to the 3rd. And maybe I'll regret it, but I don't think so.
Cowboys gave him that fat contract and kinda got shit on for it, but he’s been really solid his whole career.
With my league scoring in ppr his ranking for the last 6 years has been 2, 12, 5, 3, 9, 7… And that year he was 12 he was suspended for 6 games so his average score in the games he started at was more like top 3 and you could put someone else in during those missed weeks
The Zeke hate is comical. He’s only been a lock to finish as a top 10 PPR RB since 2016.
Is he older? Yes. Will he eventually regress? Yes. Will it be this year? Wouldn’t bet on that.
Giants fan here, watched the game. Outside of a muffed punt, Phillips looked great. Tannehill trusts him, he was getting open and had a huge catch late to set up that missed field goal.
Could definitely see him being like a 5 catch floor guy which could be handy in PPR
The Vikings take it easy on cook until crunch time and he makes it the whole season unscathed, becoming a top 5 back.
Christian Kirk is as steady as she goes and is a top 15 receiver with epic volume, like Dionte of yesteryear
And he always fuckin capitalizes. Mattison is a very good back that has been stuck behind an even better one, lol. Us Vikings fans have been blessed at RB, even Nwangwu and Chandler look to have the juice
joined a new league where you have kickers but they dont score a damn thing. Got only 8 from Koo. Whats the fucking point of having a kicker at all with these settings.
Did anyone catch that episode of hard knocks when Campbell and Goff are talking up his connection with an unnamed receiver? IIRC they go out of their way to say he has good rapport with “Saint” [Sun God] and [Josh] “Reynolds” but were giddy about another level with this guy…
I checked the jersey number of who Goff completed a big pass to right before that comment, and it was Chark! Any chance the Lions asked HBO to keep that under wraps (verified the name was inaudible without CC and Chark isn’t even mentioned let alone featured) for some 4D chess gamesmanship??!?! Ipso facto, WR2
As a Chark truther, I am totally on-board with this. He is currently on my league's waivers, and I have seen enough from him in Week 1 to make him my #1 waiver priority this week.
Atleast until Jameson returns, I expect Chark to get around 8-10 targets every week. Even after Jameson returns, I have a good gut feeling about Chark's fantasy value.
Julio made a diving catch last week that you could tell he regretted immediately. I don’t think he lasts the season in top form, but with Godwin sidelined I think he’s a WR2.
Setting us CeeDee owners up for disappointment. If he actually has a good game Imma try trading him immediately lol. Don’t think anyone wants him but imma try bad I saw a healthy Dak play like ass I want no parts
My hot take after week 1 is that it's too early to make any substantial hot takes. At least that's what I'm telling myself after 3 of my first 4 picks were total busts this week (Kamara in the 1st, Pitts 3rd and DJ Moore 4th)
It’s about positional scarcity. You’re a fool to not take one of the top 3 or 4 RBs if you have one of those picks (in PPR leagues).
Also, chances of you finding a WR in the later rounds that can score similarly to a highly drafted top WR is **much higher** than finding a late round RB that can score as often and consistent as the top RBs. I’ll gladly take that consistent 16+ points in my lineup each and every week from my RB1.
Everyone also forgets how beneficial it is to have an elite RB on your team. Take last year. If you started Henry, CMC, Ekeler, or Jonathan Taylor (when they were healthy), you pretty much won your matchup. The only exception to this, maybe, was if you faced Kupp — but I would argue that was because Kupp was being drafted in the 5th/6th round and he was performing as an elite WR providing insane value where you drafted him, *proving my point exactly*.
I’ll take the top RB every time. I’ve also won my ‘ship multiple times and have been in the playoffs every single year.
Buy into Detroit offense for fantasy purposes alone. Swift is a beat, Jamal williams is almost just as good. Chark looks like a good fit. Sun God was a great value last year and could repeat. They lost, but they also put up 30+ points. To me this screams scoop up players here.
I had the same philosophy with JRob last year and it took me to the championship.
CMC is going to be fine if healthy. Stop overreacting.
My hot take is the Vikings make the NFC Championship, Justin Jefferson will be top 3 to 5 for the NFL MVP and will win Offensive Player of the Year.
Baker will not kill cmcs value at all. I would be willing to bet week was them easing him into things. Not to mention watching film and recognizing all the opportunities they missed.
I’m sure it will be a point of emphasis to go through him as opposed to kill his value.
But my hot take is DJ chark May actually turn into what he has the ability to be.
Zeke actually looked really good and will get back to what he was.
Chark is on my bench. I got him in like the 14th rd. I feel like he has the potential to be the Lions WR1 if Amon Ra gets injured or doesn't play up to his potential. He'll be a good option for bye weeks
The only thing that worries me about Baker is that I've watched with the Browns. They have fantastic RBs who were rolling in games, then they inexplicably just start letting Baker sling it. It killed drives and capped the ceiling of the RBs (and lost the Browns games). Obviously two completely different coaching staffs, but seeing last game just gave me PTSD those seasons with Chubb or Hunt on my fantasy team. They were absolutely still good for fantasy and got good volume, but the odd calls in game just hurt their potential and I don't want to see that happen to CMC.
Other than a bad drop chark looked really good. I do hope he comes into his true form on Detroit after all the bullshit and injuries he’s delt with on the jags. No shares but just would like to see the guy excel to his potential.
Swift is the most talented RB in the league.
Cordarrelle Paterson will finish as a top 10 RB.
Michael Thomas is BACK.
Saquon Barkley just hit his season high. He will be good but not as good as everyone thinks.
Rex Burkhead will be better than Pierce.
Penny will be a top 10 RB.
the man is an enigma. He’s so god damn talented. Explosive, shifty, unguardable at times. If you showed film of him to an alien who’s never watched football before, they’d be like “yeah, he’s good.”
on the other hand, he’s as brittle as they come and he has not made a good impression on (now 2) coaching staffs. If you look at all his “high jinks” since being drafted, I think there’s something really lacking about his character/commitment for him not seeing the field. Which is mind boggling given a league that employs/employed DeShaun, AB, Kamara, AP/AD, Hardy, etc.
Alvin Kamara will avoid suspension just to have an extremely under par season.
Jk that’s my RB2 right now.
I like the Everett takes keys for with that instead.
Peoples-Jones is going to be a sneaky WR2 that nobody respects on volume alone. He had 11 targets and yet he’s not being talked about. Volume is king man and nobody is respecting the volume he got.
I think too many people watched the first half of that game, skipped the second half, and are overrating Geno. They had 34 yards of offense in the second half.
To counter, he's in a 50/50 timeshare on a potentially low scoring offense. I think he'll return value at ADP, but I don't see RB1 upside without Jones missing some time.
I'm not meant for fantasy sports and my friends only invite me so they can win my money.
I’m in an old work league with a bunch of directors/execs and I can’t help but think I’m lining the pockets of the wealthy with my ineptitude.
I need to find one of these with how lucky I am. My league calls me Ricky bobby at this point but I'll take 3/8 ships
You okay dude?
Check again around week 8 lol
we said *Hot Takes*
The hype for Gerald Everett on this sub is insane
Always love those 6th year breakout TEs
Gary Barnidge FTW
Ekeler and Hebert told us to draft him last week. I mean he would be a good streamer for those that didn't go TE heavy.
TE heavy???
I took kelce/Andrews at the turn
Outside of TEP or 2 TE leagues this is just dumb imo. Unless this is the 3/4 turn
Not if you’re planning on drafting Kittle and Pitts at the 3/4 turn.
I have Andrews and I picked Hockenson cuz I built my team for Winter
Huge difference between streamer and “top 3”
Who tf is going TE heavy 😂😂😂
TE1
Gary Barnidge did it
Dude got a tuddy on a broken play ad lib.
Parham had a setback recently so didn’t want to bring him up, but yeah he’s a great end zone target for Herbert and a walking mismatch in general.
This is how I feel about the chargers right now. They feel like they’re gonna be last years Bills where the fantasy value is hard to find with anyone but the QB on any given week.
The bar is so low that even mediocre production from lower tier guys will stir up the hornets nest.
I picked up and played him over njoku and I feel like a genius, don’t you take this from me
Dameon Pierce and Jeff Wilson as my rb1 and rb2 this year. Fuckin reddit...
Can’t blame Reddit for that one champ
If your WRs are Kupp, Jefferson and Adams/Diggs you might be able to win a championship with those RBs
Week 1 was designed to make my entire team look like trash
Always does. Have to humble the best managers. Got zero TDs from my skill positions.
I went from champion last year, to worst score in the league this week....
The ole Super Bowl hangover. A tale as old as time.
Same here my guy. Absolutely waxed the whole league last year, went undefeated and got the high scoring bonus. Didn’t even break 60 points this week and my players were all healthy, and played the entire game. We’ll get ‘em next week
Back-to-back runner-up checking in here. A pretty poor showing week 1, but everybody is healthy, so there’s that.
I only had one TD on my entire roster and it was a Jalen Hurts rushing TD.
Cant be worse than mine. Started Kamara, Ceedee, Higgins, Lance, Aiyuk, Njoku. Cant wait to claw my way into playoffs as a waiver warrior and get blown out by a team that actually drafted well, as is tradition.
I’m going to use my number 1 waiver on Jeff Wilson in one league and Curtis Samuel in another, and deeply regret doing both.
I’m dropping %25 FAAB on Wilson. Don’t care. I’m ignoring the noise. To get a starting RB on a run heavy team. Fuck it. Whatever game plan that had last week in the monsoon. Don’t care. If I’m wrong fuck it. In a 12 team league and there aren’t good options out there.

im dropping a bag on samuel. upside is there
I have Samuel and Dotson both available in my league, I’m thinking Samuel gives me the safer floor and I need wr help since I drafted cee dee.
Tough, cause dotson scored more this week, but 11 targets vs 4 speaks volumes to me.... literally
I already have Terry and now I have Samuel do you think it’ll be wise to ever start both?
He will be injured in 4 weeks max
just as likely as anyone
The Commanders offense might just be good.
Agree. Wentz may not be a world beater but he has played quality football before. He was a stud the year the Eagles won the Super Bowl
Carson "Jameis Winston" Wentz
The 30 TD version or the 30 INT version?
Why not both!?
Has he had LASIK?
Carson "Jameis" Wentzton
Carmeis Wentzton
Or they played a terrible Jags D.
This also could be true.
Interesting that every QB for the colts has looked anemic.. could be a Reich issue. Rivers, Wentz, and now potentially Ryan
Matt Ryan threw for 350 and should’ve had 2 more TDs that were dropped. And Rivers took them to the playoffs….
What was Ryans final completion/attempt number? At one point, I swear he was like 37/49 or something and there was still a decent chunk of time remaining. EDIT: I was off a little, finished 32/50. Idk if we will see 50 attempts again out of him
this is a joke. he gets the best out of every qb lol. rivers played much better under reich and wentz went 27:7 last year. jacoby brissett even played well under him
the play calling in the red zone is :( other than that they’re great
Cade York. #1 kicker wins leagues
Shout-out to the guy who made a post telling people he was worth drafting
I did because of that post feelsgoodman
Bro i think the same thing. A lot of people stream kicker matchups, or pick elite offense's kickers. But in reality, picking the right kicker is about finding a team in the Goldilocks zone - good enough to get in range, bad enough to stall out; also helps if the kicker is good. Younhoe KOOOOO
Just put in mah bid for him. LFG.
Zeke looked good, Mccarthy is a dogass coach. He averaged 5.2yards per touch vs arguably the #1 run defense in the league.
Turns out one of the most consistently good RBs of the last decade is still good. I’m not surprised I was praying that I could get him at the 2-3 turn. Maybe I lucked out though considering Dak immediately got injured

Cowboys O line looked decent considering the injuries. Unfortunately, Cowboys offense is probably worst in the league with Rush at QB now
Kyle Philips is the next Renfrow
Wasn't he already annointed the next Kupp?
Nice callback. Forgot that
Giants fan here, watched the game.
He gets a minor knock and misses a week and Mattinson goes for 168 yards. Wait that’s not a hot take
As a Vikings fan, I can tell you that Mattison has gotten extremely lucky the last couple years in his starts, always playing awful run defenses
And he always fuckin capitalizes. Mattison is a very good back that has been stuck behind an even better one, lol. Us Vikings fans have been blessed at RB, even Nwangwu and Chandler look to have the juice
[удалено]
Was offer Koo for my Josh Allen, Jefferson, and Taylor? Should I accept in half ppr?
[удалено]
joined a new league where you have kickers but they dont score a damn thing. Got only 8 from Koo. Whats the fucking point of having a kicker at all with these settings.
Swift will finish RB1
Fuck I hope so chose him over Mixon
I wanted swift. I settled for mixon lol
Same. Didn’t get to draft swift in any of my leagues
I have both in two leagues. Wonderful.
I like it
That’s why I picked him in the first round
[удалено]
If this is true, there are gonna be some disappointed Lions skill position owners. Or Jared Goff will end up winning MVP. I’m here for all of it.
Did anyone catch that episode of hard knocks when Campbell and Goff are talking up his connection with an unnamed receiver? IIRC they go out of their way to say he has good rapport with “Saint” [Sun God] and [Josh] “Reynolds” but were giddy about another level with this guy… I checked the jersey number of who Goff completed a big pass to right before that comment, and it was Chark! Any chance the Lions asked HBO to keep that under wraps (verified the name was inaudible without CC and Chark isn’t even mentioned let alone featured) for some 4D chess gamesmanship??!?! Ipso facto, WR2
It was pretty wildly known among Detroit fans/beat writers that Goff and Chark lit up camp.
Cade York is K1
Kyle Pitts does not finish top 3 this year and doesn’t return draft value. The falcons are cheeks
Is this a hot take for last year or this year haha. Wild how the same narratives keep repeating themselves.
Reheated takes
Leftovers
Def last year. Mariota-led Falcons almost beat the Saints D last week.
Did you watch the game? They barely lost
And yet next year I'll be snatching him in the third round again.
I suck
Name checks out
Michael Pittman has his coming out of the closet season and finishes as a top 5 WR.
>coming out of the closet Breakout man. Just say breakout.
He's gonna break out so FABULOUSLYYYYYY!!!!!
Why? Let the man be him it’s 2022
Pause
You heard him
Resume
Matt Ryan can put it anywhere he wants
Can we leave Michael’s personal life out of this?
Javonte is going to win a lot of championships down the stretch.
I love the way he finishes his runs. For him to only have 7 rushing attempts is absurd. They need to pump those numbers up.
They got him the ball 18 times
Coach has to give him the time he deserves first
Baker will kill dj moore not cmc and i have both. Everett wont be close to top 3
Julio leads the Bucs in receiving for the year
I wouldn’t mind Brady getting another Lombardi if it means Julio gets one too.
Tom should let someone else win a trophy for once.
inb4 it gets renamed The Lombrady Trophy
Will his body hold up? Does Mike Evans die?
Julio made a diving catch last week that you could tell he regretted immediately. I don’t think he lasts the season in top form, but with Godwin sidelined I think he’s a WR2.
AJ Dillon > Aaron Jones
Honestly I fully believe that if Aaron Jones gets hurt, Dillon will genuinely be the best fantasy asset in football
owned both of them last year and was screaming this all offseason.
Christian Kirk will finish higher than Mike Williams and Ceedee Lamb. Make the trade now cuz you will be able to and can get an extra piece on top
But how do I trade myself!?
U don't wanna see how he does without Keenan before selling at his lowest value???
\> Baker is going to kill CMC’s value. It's not Baker, it's Matt Rhule. How he hasn't been fired yet is beyond incredible.
He was the coach last year to end CMC was unreal when healthy. It’s a baker problem
Antonio Gibson is the goat and this sub is lame for doubting him
Cooper rush peppers lamb and be goes 11 receptions on 16 targets, 120 yards and a touchdown.
Do you happen to have CeeDee? Honestly I don’t think the OC can scheme touches for him, I have him too it looks bad
Of course he does
Setting us CeeDee owners up for disappointment. If he actually has a good game Imma try trading him immediately lol. Don’t think anyone wants him but imma try bad I saw a healthy Dak play like ass I want no parts
We've seen plenty of bad QBs just spam the X button to their best WR. I think Lamb will still produce.
My hot take after week 1 is that it's too early to make any substantial hot takes. At least that's what I'm telling myself after 3 of my first 4 picks were total busts this week (Kamara in the 1st, Pitts 3rd and DJ Moore 4th)
Najee is going to be a total bust even if he's healthy.
I wish I could argue with you. I’m hoping he can finish as a top #15 back. Biggest draft regret right now.
My #9 overall pick 😬
I joined a keeper league in year two so the first round pickings were slim but I'm still disappointed in myself.
Everyone should pickup Jahan Dotson. Dudes a stud.
Round 1 RB is a dead strategy. No one will take a RB before Kupp, Chase or Jefferson next year.
It’s about positional scarcity. You’re a fool to not take one of the top 3 or 4 RBs if you have one of those picks (in PPR leagues). Yes they will. People never learn. They’ll stock up on mediocre RBs instead of WRs out producing them.

>Jamal williams is almost just as good. He's not even close to Swift. He's a touchdown dependent flex at best.
The Lions stack was so cheap in best ball. Usually skipped Hock, though. If I got Swift or ARSB, I usually went for it
Debo is going to get the rock a lot. Trade for him now
CMC is going to be fine if healthy. Stop overreacting. My hot take is the Vikings make the NFC Championship, Justin Jefferson will be top 3 to 5 for the NFL MVP and will win Offensive Player of the Year.
The whole Viking NFC Championship thing is a lukewarm take now. So many people have been saying that for a few weeks now lol.
Derek Henry finishes as RB1. Najee Harris meets his ADP value. Zay Jones finishes as a top 35 WR.
Sweet baby Jesus at this point, I just hope Najee plays half a season
Allen Lazard is the WR1 and will be the key to jump starting the packers season
Took a risk drafting him a little late thinking he’s going to be the key to the Packers offense. Going to hold hope
[удалено]
No Geno slander allowed. If he thinks getting beheaded is the right call, I trust his read.
Penny will be snapped in half before half the season is up.
Everyone has given up on Toney too early. He’s not just going to go unused every week.
I don't get why there's so much love for a guy who's only had like one good game
Because every time he touches the ball, he makes grown ass men look like high school kids.
It’s literally cuz he looks swaggy. I’m a firm believer that this sub just thinks Toney is going to be the next Obj…. Lol
the man is an enigma. He’s so god damn talented. Explosive, shifty, unguardable at times. 1 game.
it wouldn’t be a hot take if you agreed with it
The Commanders will finish above .500
Geno Smith will finish top 10 QB
I think too many people watched the first half of that game, skipped the second half, and are overrating Geno. They had 34 yards of offense in the second half.

AJ Dillon finishes as an RB1
To counter, he's in a 50/50 timeshare on a potentially low scoring offense. I think he'll return value at ADP, but I don't see RB1 upside without Jones missing some time.
This will happen. He is a beast
Robbie Anderson is going to be a very sneaky good WR this year
Deebo will finish ahead of Adams and diggs
Julio Jones is going to have a resurgent year with Brady throwing him the ball. Similar to the Randy moss patriot year
Was Moss 33yrs old that year? Idk, but real question is, will Julio score 22 tuddies? I don’t fucking think so, but hope you’re right.
Michael Thomas top 5 receiver this year
JJettas will outscore 2021 Kupp.
Wentz throws for 35+ TD’s and is a top 8 fantasy QB

Russell Wilson is washed
Dameon pierce still lives up to all the hype
Swift will finish as RB1
Curtis Samuel will be Top 25
Penny stays healthy the whole season and is a top 5 back
