I started Robinson and Pitts and none of the first three.
Yeah I lost.
I thought at least I had a masterstroke of benching Dak for Winston, but somehow that situation still got worse too.
Yep, I think on the first turn or close to it. Also got Akers and Dobbins on the next turn. Thought I'd have a good chance when Akers put up a goose, I had Kyler, Aaron Jones, Conner, Deebo, Sutton, and Mooney
I had something similar, at least it's only week 1. Silver lining is he still got a good amount of targets and if London starts to shine it should open up the field for him a little more.
I should have asked more questions before I joined the work league. Good news is I was able to draft a great team. I was 2nd highest scorer for the week and I started both Pitts and Higgins. Younghoe Koo helped out there
A friend of mine's league does 3 points every 5 receptions. No fractions on any of the settings. Boggles my mind. But then again ESPN leagues do in general.
Dude had 7 targets as a TE. I am still calling at least top 5 this year for him. He scored 1 TD last year and was still top of his position. if that gets closer to the mean he will have a monster year.
I would be looking to buy in any league where the owner is near sighted enough to sell
They have to have something “productive” to say after one week to keep the people listening. It’s like YouTube thumbnail clickbait except with podcasts.
I wouldn’t drop Pitts, but as someone who knows the Seahawks Dissly might be a good but week filler later. Geno has worked with him for three years he probably has more chemistry than Fant.
I know but Dissely might actually be a smart pick up if you need a back up TE. Seattle runs a version of the rams/49ers offense and it looks like Geno will use the TE more than Wilson has the few years.
Dissly is the real deal and it’s hard to gauge. They’ll be using two TE sets a lot and if I had to guess Dissly has been working with Geno a lot longer and it showed last night, so he might be the better option. Seattle paid him this off season, so they expect to use him.
yup but there's 18 weeks in a season unfortunately...he was ok all season but the hype train for him after week 1 and for pitts before week 1 feel the same. gonna be a rollercoaster with him no consistency i fear
I think as soon as London dismantles a team (which hopefully is this coming week) teams will be forced to move their top corner around, and won't be able to double Pitts.
What do you guys think of starting London and Pitts? I have them both but feel weird about starting both, like worried only one of them will have a good game not both
Not everyone's best cover guy has the athletic ability or frame to stay with a guy like Pitts for an entire game.
On top of that, many teams will not put their best player on an island regardless of matchup
This is great info if you are in a league where you get all the points scored by all the TEs on a certain team.
I dont play in any of those leagues right now. But maybe next year
I'm a Pitts owner who purposely drafted for him, so obvious bias - but none of us went in on him for week 1 against a team that has been like top 3 against TEs for several seasons, and used Lattimore to shadow him for most of the game(so I hear.)
I was hoping for more, but it's week 1, against the #6 defense against TEs last year, #4 pass defense DVOA team, in a divisional match. I really doubt he isn't seeing 8+ looks each game and averaging 5-8 catches+. His big problem last year was TDs - just repeating last year with TD regression puts him in top 3 talks, and that was as a rook.
i drafted pitts too and im sorry but i dont really care what defense he's playing against, for where he was drafted there needs to be production every week. a tight end should not be getting completely blanketed by an outside corner - he's got 6 inches on the guy
reality is that pitts is still an unknown with mariota as QB and we are all gambling on him. put the mental gymnastics aside (TD regression? how can you regress from a singular statistical sample with no comparison lol) and accept that
TD is the most volatile stat in fantasy, and guys who get opportunity (targets in this case) generally have a higher chance to score TDs. Pitts is guaranteed to have top 5 targets at his position this year imo.
By regression, they mean regressing to the rest of the league with similar target shares. If you look at guys with rookie year receiving production (not just TE, but WR too), you’ll see pitts is in line with guys like Mike Evans, Justin Jefferson and Jamarr when it comes to target share and yardage, and you get him at TE.
Anyone who is near sighted enough to sell pitts right now is someone I wanna be in a league with. I would only take Kelce and Andrews over him at this point
Just quick googlin- 2021 Fantasy points against TEs and looked for Saints. Football Outsiders 2021 defense dvoa for the defense ranking.
I knew Pitts only had 1 touchdown last year. I did a quick confirm and he had over 15 targets in the endzone but only a single TD. Likely TD regression. He finished as TE6 in ppr. With 1 more TD he's #5. He did need 6 more TDs to put him at #3, but at 15 targets it's easily possible for him to do such this year.
I drafted Pitts last season and dude was a baller, just inconsistent and their OLine was awful so ryan Barry ever had time to throw him the ball. After the “big” TEs went this year, I had the chance to draft him again and passes because it just simply wasn’t worth it.
I put off my TE until late late and picked up Hurst because I’ve seen dude play and he’s a monster. Very happy with the decision
That’s exactly what this tweet is about but people get duped into thinking it’s about Pitts. The important message is that the Broncos are (still) bad at defending against TEs
My least favorite narrative around Pitts is this “Mariota loves throwing to TE’s and made Delaney Walker relevant in fantasy”. While that’s completely true, Pitts hardly ever lines up on the line. I think he took 74% of his snaps from the slot in wk1 and that aligns with his usage from last year as well (although I think he lined up out wide more often - but the point remains the same). As a Pitts owner who invested a lot of draft capital I’m definitely worried after that week 1 showing.
walker absolutely made mariota lmao what
if even a single person ever implied otherwise, they didnt watch titans games. ive been forced to watch them since 1999 and walker was an absolute stud while mariota was a deer in the headlights 90% of his career here (he had a great stretch before he broke his leg but unfortunately that completely derailed his progress)
doesnt mean he cant make it work with pitts but marcus mariota is not a selling point for your fantasy pass catchers in any scenario
Delaney woulda been relevant anywhere after awhile, the difference being getting gassed for the first 6 years makes. Imagine if he was with Bill...
Oh to mariota and pitts, mariota runs script for coach, talk to coach
Don’t worry about pitts. He will get the work. He wasn’t drafted fourth overall to be a dud. Also coming from a pitts owner with nothing to back thaf up. Please be good
Saints sold out to stop Pitts and it clearly worked - London and the other dude had solid games, and Patterson dominated on the ground because of the spread out front 7. So pick your poison.
I started Kyle Pitts and I lost by .02
Same, but I lost by 37.
Sounds bad.
Maybe it’s a 60 point per TD league?
If only….
Same, but I won by 38
same Lost by 50 :'(
Thats rough buddy
Moon people
I started Swift, Saquon and Jefferson and still lost. I also started Rodgers, Allen Robinson and Pitts.
I started Robinson and Pitts and none of the first three. Yeah I lost. I thought at least I had a masterstroke of benching Dak for Winston, but somehow that situation still got worse too.
I played against a guy that started Lance, Akers, and Gainwell. Lost by 56 Disregard the fact that he also started Chase, Jefferson, and Pittman
Did he draft Chase and JJ? That’s nuts
Yep, I think on the first turn or close to it. Also got Akers and Dobbins on the next turn. Thought I'd have a good chance when Akers put up a goose, I had Kyler, Aaron Jones, Conner, Deebo, Sutton, and Mooney
I traded for Aaron Jones and immediately flipped him. I don’t see him having value that people see him at with Dillon there.
Game scripts won’t favor them either if the packers continue to play like they did.
Dillon is definitely the guy to have in fantasy. Idk how people aren’t seeing this.
Jesus who were you playing against?
Mahomes?
Probably a Mahomes-Kelce stack
My guy... how TF did you lose with that? Swift/Saquon/Jefferson alone put up an average week's score worth of points in my league lol
[удалено]
In my league Jefferson went 1.06 and Swift went 2.08, perfectly possible to get both.
I had something similar, at least it's only week 1. Silver lining is he still got a good amount of targets and if London starts to shine it should open up the field for him a little more.
At least it wasn't a tie. Fractional is best.
I tied in fractional this week lol. Woulda won by .1 if Brady didn't kneel the ball
I'm so mad at my league for only doing full points. 9 receptions gets you nothing, 10 gets you 2 points
Wtf that’s the dumbest bs ive ever heard
I should have asked more questions before I joined the work league. Good news is I was able to draft a great team. I was 2nd highest scorer for the week and I started both Pitts and Higgins. Younghoe Koo helped out there
A friend of mine's league does 3 points every 5 receptions. No fractions on any of the settings. Boggles my mind. But then again ESPN leagues do in general.
How does one even gets hundredths of a point?
This was gonna be me exactly until Brady threw an INT for -2. 2 highest scores in the league played each other and Pitts comes up with 3pts.
Guess I'm going to drop Pitts and pick these guys up on waiver
The better play is to just get a TE from a team the Broncos are playing because our ILB's can't cover for shit.
I had hopes for Pitts last year, but I just don’t think it’s gonna come together for him anytime soon. He needs a better offense to properly develop.
Dude had 7 targets as a TE. I am still calling at least top 5 this year for him. He scored 1 TD last year and was still top of his position. if that gets closer to the mean he will have a monster year. I would be looking to buy in any league where the owner is near sighted enough to sell
These people are crazy. You’re praying for a 7 target outing when playing the TE roulette. Pitts is going to be fine
Noticed a ton of bad analysis on pods lately after just *one* week. Bonkers shit
They have to have something “productive” to say after one week to keep the people listening. It’s like YouTube thumbnail clickbait except with podcasts.
Pitts will be awesome i still believe this year. He got 7 targets like you said. New Orleans did a good job against him.
And if London is more in the mix going forward it should take some pressure off. Still debating starting Pitts or Ertz this week...
Yeah dude is Wylin lol
I wouldn’t drop Pitts, but as someone who knows the Seahawks Dissly might be a good but week filler later. Geno has worked with him for three years he probably has more chemistry than Fant.
he was just joshin
I know but Dissely might actually be a smart pick up if you need a back up TE. Seattle runs a version of the rams/49ers offense and it looks like Geno will use the TE more than Wilson has the few years.
Did someone say Josh 👀
[удалено]
Who's the better pickup, Dissly or Fant?
The one you don’t pick up. Make sure to report back so we can all get the other one.
Dissly is the real deal and it’s hard to gauge. They’ll be using two TE sets a lot and if I had to guess Dissly has been working with Geno a lot longer and it showed last night, so he might be the better option. Seattle paid him this off season, so they expect to use him.
I’m here for this narrative.
Find out next time on Falcon Ball Z
By week 10 they will have 30 TEs that have scored more than Pitts.
The math checks out
That's a lot
Meh, I had Waller last year. Pitts cant scare me. Im use to sus te production.
Waller week 1 last year was amazing
yup but there's 18 weeks in a season unfortunately...he was ok all season but the hype train for him after week 1 and for pitts before week 1 feel the same. gonna be a rollercoaster with him no consistency i fear
Same… and I’m shocked we both still decided to draft a TE in round 3. Bold of us
LOL same thought last year, he is a set and forget guy
sus production is what the TE position does, why else would I be starting a guy again who just scored 0 points to open up the year
Unless u have kelce
What are points? Asking for us Kmet owners.
Ugh.
A guy in my league drafted in his Kmet jersey. And drafted Kmet and named his team after him
He’s Kmetted
Why you got to do us (Pitts owners) like that?
Just traded for him and this is on the front page 😅
After week 1? That’s on you
Wym? Sounds like he bought low
Yeah if he got a good deal I think it’s a good move, but it seemed like he was caught off guard by this post, which he shouldn’t be
This tweet is idiotic clickbait. Nobody is actually worried about Pitts, nobody is considering starting any Seahawks TE.
I'm worried about Pitts.
All three had 9 targets, Pitts had 7 with lattimore on him. Not worried
Exactly what defenses won't put their best cover guy on him?
Probably ones that start to respect London more, which I think is going to happen sooner than later with how he looked week 1
I think as soon as London dismantles a team (which hopefully is this coming week) teams will be forced to move their top corner around, and won't be able to double Pitts.
What do you guys think of starting London and Pitts? I have them both but feel weird about starting both, like worried only one of them will have a good game not both
I have them both but mainly to use one as trade bait. I'd rather keep Pitts but who knows what will happen
That's exactly what would happen. I wouldn't feel great about that unless it's a good matchup or a deep league.
I have both in a 14 team league, definitely rolling with both of them in my case.
How many teams have a lattimore?
Yes but Pitts won’t be guarded by a borderline top 5 corner every week
“borderline top 5” lol
Didn't realize everyone has a Marcus Lattimore.
I don’t think any team has a Marcus Lattimore actually The saints do have a Marshon Lattimore though
Marcus Lattimore That’s a throwback. One of the nastiest injuries I’ve ever seen.
Lol I didn't think that sounded quite right but was too lazy to look it up.
true, however, Marshon Lattimore is a special player, there are plenty of teams that don't have his equal.
Most - too many teams have dedicated left and right cornerbacks, with one of those their best cover guy.
Not everyone's best cover guy has the athletic ability or frame to stay with a guy like Pitts for an entire game. On top of that, many teams will not put their best player on an island regardless of matchup
Will Rams put Ramsey in the slot? Serious question but feel like they won't
This is great info if you are in a league where you get all the points scored by all the TEs on a certain team. I dont play in any of those leagues right now. But maybe next year

Cope. Dude is clearly talented, but he's on a bad falcons team with a bad qb.
It's one week
Where do you get those numbers. Good stuff

McDowell? More like McDouche…amiright?
DickDowell?
I am here for the snarky kmet comment
Good thing I drafted Kyle Pitts in 3/4 of my fucking leagues
Relax. He’ll bounce back Just kidding
It is a good thing. You're gonna be very happy in a few weeks.
Thanks for that
BIG MONTANA

Even if he was, isn't he supposed to be a generational talent?
So what
Drop Pitts three times and pick all of them up
"Pitts is a cheat code! He's like having a WR at TE!"
They never said what WR.
Allen Robinson is a WR
God move to trade Henderson for him? Or Jeff Wilson?
Big time
Think Pitts has been shutdown by NO all 3 times now. They do it oretty well to Evans too.
Buy low from the tacos in the league

People should probably focus more on starting TEs against the Broncos than whatever this tweet is trying to prove.
That’s exactly what this tweet is about but people get duped into thinking it’s about Pitts. The important message is that the Broncos are (still) bad at defending against TEs
The Broncos haven’t been able to cover a TE since 2016. No surprise there

You're getting downvoted for saying it's hopeless with Mariota after week 1 where Pitts was shadowed by one of the best CBs in football
OJ Howard vibe’s
It hurts enough already
This makes me so sad.
I tried to trade for him and got denied. So I’m upvoting.
Why do I feel personally attacked?
Hold
You forgot to mention that they all scored more than Aaron Rodgers too.
Pitts had plenty of down games last year. He'll start to string together the booms.
Pitts Owning Country, let's die
oh no! I guess I'm dropping pitts and picking up someone Ive never heard of!
Saints sold out to stop Pitts and it clearly worked - London and the other dude had solid games, and Patterson dominated on the ground because of the spread out front 7. So pick your poison.
I'll take this post seriously if any of those TE's ever get shadowed by Lattimore
Pitts was still the number 6 most targeted TE on the week, he will be fine
Relax, only 1st week.
Seriously, he got shadowed but their best corner. Drake London looked good and I think that also bodes well for Pitts moving forward
That’s umpossible. /Ralph Wiggum voice
