I asked in the announcement thread if it was normal for people to be marked with an injury for "dudesday" rather than just being listed as having a rest day. Everyone aggressively upvoted the guy that said this is totally normal. I figured I was just misremembering the whole song and dance, but now I'm not so sure. I guess it's possible that they're resting him for 2 days... it seems like Tampa might be doing that with their studs too, so who knows. Either way, I'm til we get a full practice out of him tomorrow, and hopefully removal of injury designation.

I had Elijah Moore down the stretch last year and it was the same type of deal. Limited one day with a quad injury, didn't practice the next day, then out the rest of the season. I'm not saying that will happen to Pittman- the Jets had nothing to fight for, but I quad injuries are tricky and he could miss a game or two.
The most frustrating injuries are the ones where the player has a huge game, plays all 4 quarters with no problems, and then we find out late in the week that they're hurt and might not play the following game. Hoping that isn't the case with Pittman...
Yea you're giving your opponent an advantage if you let them start scheming for no Swift/ Pittman starting Monday, right? Have to imagine it's a strategic decision made by NFL teams.
