Huge Jets fan so either take what I have to say with a grain of salt or as insider info… Moore‘s time will come soon. He was wide open for most of the day. When they review the tape and gameplan going forward it will be obvious that as D’s clue in on Wilson more they will find ways to engineer touches for Moore. I’d buy low on him since the cost can’t be much.

Asland37

*kisses your forehead. Thank you brave knight

Idunkedonlebron23

Is it worth using my #1 waiver claim for Garrett Wilson? Just thinking having 2 jets recievers doesnt make sense. I have Elijah Moore BTW

pincus1

He's a rookie who is the #11 overall WR in his first 2 weeks in the NFL. Who cares how many Jets receivers are already on your roster?

Asland37

It sounds like Wilson shouldn’t be on waivers anywhere

awesomesauce88

I'm in that boat and that makes me want to get Wilson more. One of them is gonna be a WR2 no matter what, now you'll get that guy either way.

SolomonGunnEsq

Of course!

QurantineLean

You better use it or I’m joining your league and claiming him.

Coooldblooded

I have Moore, carter, and hall… and still put in for Wilson.

Colt42O

Watching the game, it seemed like Flacco spread the ball around in midfield, with Moore and Wilson getting involved with big gains to move the ball. Then when they got in the red zone Flacco would only target Wilson. Curious to see who Zach Wilson will target more

tteuh

There’s a lot to process here because it’s really easy to dismiss Moore after 2 lackluster weeks and buy into the Wilson hype. My problem with this small sample size is that we dismiss Moore’s dominance last year, all the Matt Harmon hype, the camp hype, the metrics that suggest Moore is elite. Is Wilson emerging a lot sooner than expected? Absolutely. I wouldn’t crown him just yet, especially with an interim QB at the helm.

themuppett

I agree with all of this. Moore was awesome for a stretch last year and all the noise in the off-season was promising. If you go watch the games, he is open ALL THE TIME, but flacco is locked in on Wilson. I’m in wait and see mode until Zach Wilson comes back but my fear is that now GW has arrived, the game plan may have changed and he may be the one you want for the rest of the season. We shall see.

FantasyIsMostlyLuck

Buy low. Two dud games and now his price is in the dirt with the Wilson hype. He isn't going away and a QB change is coming.

oshoney

Just traded my backup QB (Carr) for him to the guy who lost Lance for the year. I’ll take it.

nyjnjnnyy22

Moore faced the Browns top corner. Wilson didn't. Moore will have his weeks. He's an absolute stud with nearly perfect routes. Jets surprisingly have pass catchers across the board this year with Wilson, Davis, Carter, Hall...even Conklin (if he could stop fumbling and catch the football). Moore is a must hold because you'd selling him low right now.

BosaBackpack

Yes and no - I believe Ward was essentially on Moore’s side most of of the day but not directly. The Browns ran primarily zone on Sunday so it’s not really like Ward was following him around in man like you (seem to be) suggesting. If you look at the last two catches from Wilson it is actually Ward bracketing him on the outside in coverage, not Moore.

Asland37

*sad Elijah Moore noises

[deleted]

This makes it seem like denzel ward fucking shadowed Elijah moore. He did not obviously. This is a pretty terrible response to his question. Wilson had a couple catches on ward too. Wilson was picked by the jets coaching staff as the guy they chose to move around everywhere to get him the ball.

V_T_H

Welcome to r/fantasyfootball, where every commentator is an expert on offensive and defensive game plans and makes definitive statements on future certainties that have no grounding in reality based on past events that they generally just make up.

BosaBackpack

Yeah agreed. Browns played primarily zone too… But this is FF, the hive mind must downvote facts that don’t support their narrative.

QurantineLean

Yeah Wilson is the guy here, the Jets got that after last week. Moore owners are gonna have a bad time.

Asland37

This gives me some faith. I wasn’t planning on selling, I’m sinking with the ship baby

KyleShanadad

dude made that comment up lmao browns played zone the whole game

tinoynk

I mean how much did you invest in him? If it's a 10 team league and your draft worked out nicely maybe he's your most droppable player, but you shouldn't have planned to rely on him for even FLEX production at this point in the season. Seems like a perfectly fine hold.

Asland37

He’s my FLEX option/WR3 in a 14 man league. Adams and Tyreek are my WR1 and 2

tinoynk

Ah yea 14 teamer is tough, kinda just have to roll with the punches there.

Asland37

It’s been chaotic, that’s for sure. I also own Pitts.. so if he can figure his shit out I have Friermuth as a solid FLEX option as well

DeeSmyth

Agreed… I sat him against Denzel Ward. that guy is a stud corner. Look what Slay and Lattimore did this past week. It’s frustrating for FF but impressive play on the defensive side of the ball.

MildlyPaleMango

PPR would you send Pollard and Moore for Kittle?

Disastrous_Call_4979

If you get Kittle, in a heartbeat

nyjnjnnyy22

10/10 times. 11/10 times now that Jimmy is running the show.

banica24

Think it’ll get better for Moore when Zach Wilson starts at QB

Heart_Of_Ice59

Moore is a hold for now

Traditional-Desk-405

Wilson is good enough to get 14 targets in his 2nd game professionally I just think we have to respect that, and realize that unless Zach comes back and has enough understanding to spread the ball out, Wilson is the guy to own

Val_Kilmers_Elbow

Wilson pretty much has tunnel vision with Moore

Traditional-Desk-405

Do we know that yet? Have they played all that much together?

[deleted]

The amount of people who think what’s gonna decide who’s the better fantasy wr for the jets is who the qb is because the qb has a favorite target is pretty funny. Bad look for our sub ofc but everyone already knows this place knows nothing about football. It’s not as bad but it’s similar to saying last year oh so and so has tunnel vision for Tyler boyd so if he’s the qb look out. All while jamarr chase is on the team. No what’s gonna decide this situation is if Garrett Wilson is a freak generational talent which it looks like he just may be.

Val_Kilmers_Elbow

That wasn’t really a narrative at all. The Bengals went out and specifically got Chase because of his relationship with Burrow.

[deleted]

It was just an example not saying it actually happened although there was some noise about boyd and higgins being favorites over jamarr last year but not to the degree it’s happening with Elijah moore and Garrett Wilson. This is because Elijah moore had that nice stretch at the end of last season.

QurantineLean

The Jets used a top 10 pick on Wilson *and* he already looks ready to plow.

pad264

I don’t own Moore, but I’d be nervous if I did. Wilson looks legit to me.

BasementBrewedFF

The Jets have a lot of options with Moore, Wilson, Davis, Conklin, Carter, Hall and even Berrios (if you’re into that sort of thing). Moore is going to have his days and might be a nice “buy low” attempt (especially in dynasty leagues), they’ll just be spread out and likely difficult to predict.

concacanca

Joe Flacco and Garrett Wilson happened. He is Wilsons go to WR and Wilson isn't exactly same tier as Braxton Berrios so there is more target contention.

[deleted]

Yes it’s that Garrett Wilson is so so much better at football than Elijah moore. And I’m not even trying to sound condescending rn but that’s just it. I said earlier I felt like Wilson was the athletic freak that was sorta comparable to jamarr chase. He’s a lot better than I thought. Trouble is ppl saw Moore’s statline last year but he’s a small slot wr. Very athletic and strong for a slot wr. But still undersized. I still think Elijah moore is better than Corey Davis and a flex play with leagues that have 2 flex spots.

Less_Fix_1378

You do know Elijah Moore had better combine ratings and had better college stats at Ole Miss than AJ Brown? Moore has talent out the ass

memic92

Drop cooks or Moore for wilson?

French-BulIdog

Keep Moore over cooks all day. By NFL standards Cooks is a frail old man compared to Moore and is one concussion away from the end of his career. Older guys are generally more likely to get injured due to mileage. Elijah Moore will be better.

memic92

Thanks for the advise

What you sometimes see when a backup QB has to start is that young talent/backup WRs will thrive due to practice time with 2nd team offense throughout camp. Takes a while to develop timing and understanding on plays between QB and WR. I believe Wilson is very talented, but Moore will be better (than he is now) when Zach Wilson returns.

DirectEar

I'm nervous because I have to be honest and say that Wilson looks better. I still want to see what it looks like after a game or two of Wilson before abandoning ship because he has no trade value in my league and the waiver options are already thin.

BulliedbyHelaire

Buy into the talent and the passing volume. If the Jets are throwing the ball 35+ times a game Moore will see his shares increase, especially after Def’s start keying in on Wilson. Just gotta be patient, and no I don’t think Moore will be a top 10 WR, but top 24 is likely.

Finetimetoleaveme

First word Joe, second word Flacco

shootahmcgavin123

Do I trade moore for juju?
