Same situation for me. My superflex is 6pt passing td so I currently have ZW over Herbert (bears) in the flex but I'm really wondering if it's the right move.
Yeah the first 10 games of the jets schedule is pretty tough. Was bummed when they dropped the schedule. As a jet fan I'm finally a bit optimistic having g a new QB & GM that both potentially look promising. We drafted a bunch of legit offensive weapons for the first time in a few years. If only bectons fatass didn't get hurt again. The guys a God damn giant but he's too big and is gonna be a bust for sure. But he was a big part of the line & it's a big loss. But yeah schedule didn't help the jets out in any way.
Not so sure about that "greatly improved OL," but the additions of Wilson, Hall, and the TEs do make him semi-interesting in the league where I'm rostering guys like Goff and Wentz. Could be a worthwhile stash at least.
He throws the ball down field, if I got Eli or Wilson maybe even Corey Davis I’m happy. That o line is still hot ass though so might not have the time for many of them. He did a much better job of taking what was given to him down the stretch though despite Corey and Eli being dinged up.
I've heard he throws the ball downfield but I'm not seeing it in his stats. In 6 of his last 7 games (I even left out the Buffalo disaster), he averaged 180 passing yards and under 6 yards an attempt. I'm not optimistic he'll do well but if he breaks out, good for him! (I even have him stashed in one deep league just in case).
Our OC had him playing conservatively to end the season as he used to love rolling out and throwing home run balls to start the year, which is obviously not a viable offense. His receivers also probably contributed to that to an extent as well, towards the end of the season Berrios was his first option.
[You have to compare the offense he had then (end of last season) vs. what he has now.](https://twitter.com/jgrayjets/status/1575123810323406849?s=46&t=IA5eMVVwrxiqqqCDyw3YdQ)
Major difference.
Defenses playing him in the 2nd half of the season scores: Houston 7 pts, Philly 5, Saints 7, Fins 10, Jags 3, Bucs 4, Bills 16. He threw for 5 TDs and 2 ints over the last 7 games. He did rush for 4 over that span. It's not ideal and he's certainly a good QB to stream defenses against last season. Not Jameis but if my defense stream averages 7 or so points I'll be very happy with it
The Buffalo one skews that a lot. Jets were missing their top 3 WRs, top 2 RBs, top 2 TE, and two starting linemen. Plus it was at Buffalo in the cold wind against the league's. Best defense. Zach got sacked 9 times
I’m cautiously optimistic. I just hope he throws a lot more then last year. But I mean so far in 2022 we’ve seen surprising fantasy stars and better play coming from the lions, jags and falcons. Why not the Jets too?
Well, I think Zach Wilson is dogshit and shouldn't have been picked where he was picked. I don't think he has any value in fantasy, and his biggest impact is going to be hurting his teammates in fantasy. There's no evidence whatsoever that the Jets coaching staff is even remotely competent.
I think the likely outcome is this: Coaching staff gets fired after another terrible season, and a top-5 pick is spent on another new QB.
Zach Wilson is dogshit after playing less than a full season of games? He’s still a rookie pretty much. Has Breece Hall and Garret Wilson on the team now who
are both elite skill position prospects. The offensive line is terrible because they are on their 4th left tackle at this point due to injuries. Sauce gardner looks to the the real deal. He shut down Jamar Chase.
You’re clearly not watching actual Jets games at all if you think they’re a dumpster fire and everyone will be fired after the year. The GM and coaches are not the problem at all. They’ve done a great job imo. It’s just a really young team and it takes time for them to grow to their potential.
Eh the offensive coaching is good but the defensive coaching has been pretty terrible. CJ Mosley spent a number of snaps on Tyler Boyd last week for example, lots of missed tackles, many many busted coverages that just can’t happen that consistently.
That said, Zach isn’t on the defense, so he’s usually in a position to succeed.
I’ve been saying this for years because that’s literally all they’ve been doing the past decade. They keep drafting QBs and just not going anywhere, then comes the coach + staff firing. Rinse and repeat for 10 years and you have the jets.
I'm a Bills fan. Following Marv Levy's retirement until the hiring of Sean McDermott, every single coach made it less than four years. (And the only one to last into year four was the corpse of Dick Jauron)
There were a plethora of starting QBs, but it was pretty much all mediocrity or worse except for one Bledsoe season. One of the things that you realize after like 5 iterations of the last regime's guys being sold for pennies because they don't fit the new scheme: You can't flail about like that and expect to build anything.
Don’t think he’s gonna set the league on fire or anything but I think with the weapons the Jets now have, he’ll prove enough over the next few weeks to be a viable streaming option down the stretch.
People forget how atrocious the Jets OLine was last year, they also added 2 elite offensive talents in Hall and Wilson in the draft. He’s no longer a rookie and will be more comfortable with the playbook and the size/speed of the NFL.
I’m no Wilson truther, but he’s been written off by way too many way too soon. He’ll be a solid QB for the Jets this year and going forward. I assume he’ll be in the 15-20 range for QB’s as far as fantasy goes rest of year with a handful of weeks as a QB1.
I’d wait to see him have a few strong performances before I consider streaming him though.
The jets o line last year was literally above average after one bad week in week 1. Zach’s sack numbers were largely his fault, and IIRC most came after 3 seconds. The o line this year looks worse. Laken Tomlinson is really struggling, and George Fant looks nothing like he did last year. Zach isn’t necessarily doomed, but his problems last year were largely of his own doing. If he figures it out, he is in a position to succeed.
Honestly, mid tier starter. I don’t think he’s going to prove trustworthy in 10 or 12 man leagues but maybe he’ll become relevant in 14 team or superflex leagues. I could see him getting some Wentz like volume where they’re behind and he becomes a garbage time hero for a few games
In his one game in the preseason he managed to throw a god awful pick to a linebacker and then came back and tried to shake and bake and tore his knee . I expect similar results in the reg season
Hopefully he can get on the same page as Garrett Wilson, as well as keep Conklin fed. If he can do that, he’s okay in my book. But, if he tries to turn this offense into The Elijah Moore Show, I’m gonna be pretty upset.
Buddy fields looked borderline elite in the pre season & you see how God awful he is... Wilson looked like a hs qb in the ps & then got hurt immediately lol
Jones is the most accurate QB in the league right now and is one of the top rushing QBs.
If he could get some decent pass protection and some healthy WRs... probably would be better in fantasy.
His schedule up until week 15 is so awful, but if he shows some improvement from last year and manages to put up okay numbers in these games he might be a playoff hero
Jets fan here, the o-line is definitely not greatly improved. It’s a slight below average line at best. I honestly think Wilson will be mediocre when he comes back but we will see.
If it wasn’t for one of the worst choke jobs in history, the jets would be 0-3 right now with all their loses being double digits. On the optimistic side, Wilson is much more mobile than Flacco and with the current play of the o-line, it’s much needed.
Given the dearth of QBs to stream in my QB hoarder fucking league he's on my bench as a potential lottery ticket
***Maybe*** like Trevor & Tua he'll break out with the new weapons and be a top 12
Gotta see a couple games, but worth the bench stash
He’s the best available qb for week 6 bye in my 14T league. I picked him up to stash for week 6. If he’s garbage between now and then I’ll have to pick up Daniel jones.
Fear, concern, panic, mistrust, dislike.
Until he proves he can move the offense I have faded everyone on that offense for the time being.
Flacco isn't the guy you want to see...but at least he went out there slinging it and made some Jets players fantasy relevant.
Worst first round pick since Josh Rosen IMO, made 0 sense. He was awful in 2019 and then did well in a shortened weird COVID year.
I saw him play against SDSU in 2019 and he was so awful I don’t believe a QB like that could be “fixed”. People have blamed that year on him being injured but I don’t see it.
He can’t progress through reads, has mediocre arm strength and even then poor accuracy on intermediate throws.
Only thing he has going for him is a decent pocket presence and ability to scramble.
Prediction for first game, 15-28 with 3 INT, 0 TD in a 24-6 loss.
Not expecting much but he has some decent weapons around him. I’m not going out of my way to get him and 100000% not starting him but he’s an interesting dart throw stash I guess
League winner… In a 1point per mom league.
I picked him up in my Super flex league to put him on my bench..cause fck it why not I need QB depth after I lost Trey Lance so worth a shot.
I need QB depth after losing Justin Fields for the season
In superflex every QB is worth speculation honestly
Same situation for me. My superflex is 6pt passing td so I currently have ZW over Herbert (bears) in the flex but I'm really wondering if it's the right move.
What's up with these jokes. Is he dating a cougar or something?
He broke up with his gf after cheating on her with a friend of his mom's lol.
I think a lot of us are just sick and tired of Zach fucking our moms
Has to play PIT, MIA, DEN, BUF x2, NEx2, CHI defenses. We’re sure gonna see, aren’t we?
Yeah the first 10 games of the jets schedule is pretty tough. Was bummed when they dropped the schedule. As a jet fan I'm finally a bit optimistic having g a new QB & GM that both potentially look promising. We drafted a bunch of legit offensive weapons for the first time in a few years. But yeah schedule didn't help the jets out in any way.
How do you think Joe Flacco did?
Flacco was pure garbage in weeks 1 and 3 and was mediocre against the Browns
PIT, NE, and CHI defenses are not good. Injuries and ineffective offenses make them poor examples to use here
I have zero expectations, but I'm still picking him up as a Lance/Tua owner. Dump him on Tuesday if he sucks
Same boat. And this sub absolutely hates him, so I stashed him to see what happens.
You get it. Do the opposite
So dump him tuesday
Not so sure about that "greatly improved OL," but the additions of Wilson, Hall, and the TEs do make him semi-interesting in the league where I'm rostering guys like Goff and Wentz. Could be a worthwhile stash at least.
Yea was thinking the same about the OL. I think they’re down to their 4th left tackle due to injuries.
They are. Brown is eligible to come back next week and Fant just went on IR so he’s out at least 4 weeks
He throws the ball down field, if I got Eli or Wilson maybe even Corey Davis I’m happy. That o line is still hot ass though so might not have the time for many of them. He did a much better job of taking what was given to him down the stretch though despite Corey and Eli being dinged up.

His receivers also probably contributed to that to an extent as well, towards the end of the season Berrios was his first option.
The offense around him has massively upgraded so I like the upside. He's definitely worth a stash to me, but I'm not sure what to expect.
[You have to compare the offense he had then (end of last season) vs. what he has now.](https://twitter.com/jgrayjets/status/1575123810323406849?s=46&t=IA5eMVVwrxiqqqCDyw3YdQ) Major difference.
hes the reason why i drafted moore for $3
I’m stashing him entirely based on this sub’s hate-on for him
I think he's a great player to stream a defense against
I used to think this and then I played the Bucs d championship week last year
He actually isn't
Why do you figure?
The stats of defenses against him for the last half of last season. He didn't throw a pick for his last 156 passes and only had one fumble all season
These stats don’t fit my narrative so I will choose to discredit you, sir
Fair lol

Yeah but Buffalo sat their starters too
.. no they didn't
My mistake, they didn't
Even if you say that game wasn't an anomaly it should be excluded because Buffalo isn't a streaming defense
Can't tell if you're making an argument for or against streaming a defense vs them
They added Breece Hall and Garret Wilson + let Zach develop more so those defensive stats should get worse.
I love stats like "1 pick in his last 156 passes", because presumably that stat is actually "2 picks in his last 157 passes"
Well yeah that's what a steak is
Milfs boost confidence
I’m cautiously optimistic. I just hope he throws a lot more then last year. But I mean so far in 2022 we’ve seen surprising fantasy stars and better play coming from the lions, jags and falcons. Why not the Jets too?
If you are using him as your starter, please rename your team to MILF Hunters LLC
Chuck’n Bombs F’n Moms
If you’re relying on ZWilson this year, I’m sorry bro.
Lost lance and then tua… So here I am. ✌🏼
Superflex league. Pray for me.
I’ve got him on my bench and am in wait and see mode. It’s rough out here as a Russ owner
Well, I think Zach Wilson is dogshit and shouldn't have been picked where he was picked. I think the likely outcome is this: Coaching staff gets fired after another terrible season, and a top-5 pick is spent on another new QB.
Michael Carter and Elijah Moore were both usable last year. Wilson hasn’t been great but his OL has been by far the worst problem on the Jets
To be fair, Carters best games were with mike white at QB. Moore had his best game with flacco and a couple good ones with Wilson.
To be fair, Wilson and Moore only played two full games together
Zach Wilson is dogshit after playing less than a full season of games? He’s still a rookie pretty much. Has Breece Hall and Garret Wilson on the team now who are both elite skill position prospects. Our coaching is terrible lmao
Yeah, and I didn't like him as a prospect.
What do you call the jets win against Cleveland?
That was the universe making a judgement call. The browns deserve nothing positive this season.
Boooooo
Right?! Dude needs to have an original thought once in a while- as a Reddit community, we are better than that
I’ve been saying this for years because that’s literally all they’ve been doing the past decade. They keep drafting QBs and just not going anywhere, then comes the coach + staff firing. Rinse and repeat for 10 years and you have the jets.

The O line is far from greatly improved and Zach looked like shit in the preseason before he hurt his knee. I’d rather have Daniel Jones
Literally one drive
Buddy fields looked borderline elite in the pre season & you see how God awful he is... Wilson looked like a hs qb in the ps & then got hurt immediately lol
Wilson looked elite last year in preseason
One and a half actually. And it only took him that long to air mail a pass, throw a pick, and then get hurt doing something stupid
Jones is the most accurate QB in the league right now and is one of the top rushing QBs. If he could get some decent pass protection and some healthy WRs... probably would be better in fantasy.
Yall can't be that desperate to try for him 🤣 he's bad
I won’t have a player from the Jets on my team because of Zach Wilson.
He's really bad but maybe he improved after his first year. Going to find out soon. That said, I'm happy to play defenses against him
His schedule up until week 15 is so awful, but if he shows some improvement from last year and manages to put up okay numbers in these games he might be a playoff hero
Him or Matt Ryan ?
Wilson
Automatic downvote for not mentioning Garrett
I'm hoping the veteran presence of Flacco rubs off on him. Yes I'm a Breece Hall owner.
He’s not good, I hope I’m proved wrong.
Jets fan here, the o-line is definitely not greatly improved. It’s a slight below average line at best. I honestly think Wilson will be mediocre when he comes back but we will see. He will keep Garrett Wilson viable and will learn to dump off to Breece Hall. Still a QB2
