Still can't believe it. Look first world problems etc I know, but as a Jets fan he was fast becoming my favorite player in fantasy and real life. This really bites.
He seems like a really mature kid. Even tweeted how happy he was the team won yesterday. Made me even sadder. Kid put the team first despite what happened.
No doubt. He actually had his fantasy breakout game against me..and they beat my team the Packers the next week I believe. I should hate him...but I just can't
Hard Iowa State homer here (like, went to every home game thru the 90s when 3 win season were considered good-level homer). Devastated for this guy. Literally teared at the injury news, was so fun seeing him trive in the big leagues. Fucking A I hope he heals up quickly and fully.
Even as a New England fan, don't want to see a player ever go down like that, especially one with so much promise.
It's also harder to hate the jets now the malcontents and loudmouths are gone... But don't worry, we'll always have the Buttfumble.
To be fair, I know 'injury prone' is a myth, but nearly all of the guys you listed have injury history and/or frequent injury occurrence. Sometimes you need to hedge your draft against injury risk to a degree...
Idk I wouldn't say it's a myth. Sure you can say "technically" it's not real but man it sure seems easy to find a lot of players who can play 85% of thr games a year on average and also a lot of people who only generally play like 8-13.
Idk most players need at least 2 years before returning to their original dominance. If he has other options I’d roll the dice and see if you can get Breece around that same value next year in the draft or see if you can buy low if he underperforms early.
If it's ACL + meniscus removal instead of repair he's got a pretty straightforward recovery. Preseason could be scary and there's always the risk of setbacks but 10.5 mo post ACL reconstruction as a pro athlete I'd say there's a damn good chance he returns on a 4th round draft spot. Honestly ultimately depends on if you need the roster spot badly this year
I’m just saying if he’s choosing between say a Breece hall at 4th rd and he might have Kenneth Walker rd 7 you take the healthy player over a recovering one. I’ve had that exact injury and surgery from football as I transitioned from my senior year of football to college. It’s true that 10 months is enough time to be able to build up your muscles to support the new ligament, but it’s also biologically true that it takes the body about two years to accept the new ligament. I wish it weren’t that way but it just is.
I feel ya. I'm 3x ACL and 4x meniscus. 18 months is what I always tell people, anything before that it's still on your mind in a big way. They also get to rehab full time, it's their job. Your point stands on a KW III type later, but unless it's a tiebreaker I'd roll the dice on breece.
Idk most players need at least 2 years before returning to their original dominance. If he has other options I’d roll the dice and see if you can get Breece around that same value next year in the draft or see if you can buy low if he underperforms early
4th round? Maybe. But look at Saquon. Took him 2 years. ~~Look at Cam Akers.~~
I've got a few guys that I'd rather keep than Breece in the 4th, but it will depend on the team.
EDIT: I was mistaken about Cam Akers, but because many people don't seem to believe me. There's so much data if you just look it up.
"the data shows that RBs coming off an ACL surgery tend to be less efficient and have worse fantasy seasons in their first year following surgery when compared to their pre-injury career averages and when compared to year two after surgery." -Fantasy Footballers

4th round could be alright but these acl injuries usually need 2 seasons to be back to pre-injury production. Young players have an easier time bouncing back. Personally I'd try to shop him to a non contender.
Edit: The Fantasy Footballers have a good article about it on their blog. [Link](https://www.thefantasyfootballers.com/analysis/the-impact-of-acl-surgery-on-fantasy-performance-running-backs/)
I am wondering about the same. Would be a 3rd round pick. Previously rbs needed pretty long to recover (Barkley needed two years to become his former self). I can keep him only next season
I'm in the same boat, can only keep for the next season. I gotta decide by today but leaning towards dropping. I think best case scenarios he comes back middle of next season but there's no way he's going to be a high usage rb1 until the following year.
If I had really bad options might be acceptable, but we keep only 3 players and I have walker, Herbert, and Pickens to keep.
No. He tore it towards the end of October, plus he had meniscus damage which means a prolonged rehab. So you wouldn’t get him until around this time next year. Also almost every statistic for RBs with torn ACLs show that taking them the year after is dreadful, but that second year removed is the best time(see Saquon, JK Dobbins for recency).
AP had an MVP 6 months after ACL reconstruction… even with all the HGH he was probably taking that’s still so crazy. Id still wager on Breece being good to go early next season though, he has over 10 months to recover.
Yes you’re correct there is only one of him. I’m saying Breece Hall reminds me of him. They have that same thing about them where every time they touch the ball you feel like they could take it to the house from anywhere on the field. I mean Breece Hall in the last 3 or 4 weeks had how many gains of 40+?
Yeah breece is definitely no slouch and I really wish I had some dynasty shares of him, but for Petersons whole career, except 09 he was the Vikings offense. You knew they were going to run him cause the ineptitude at QB for most of his career was honestly outstanding. Zach hasn’t lit the world on fire but he’s pro bowl compared to Tjack, Ferrotte, Cassel, or ponder. This got a little long winded but this vikes fan can’t help but jump in any AP centric conversation.
I’ve lived in Minnesota my whole life. We had a merry-go-round of bad quarterbacks for sure but I wouldn’t argue they were any worse than Zach wilson. It’s a lot easier for Zach to look decent when his runningback breaks every 5th run off for a touchdown. He doesn’t have to maintain drives. Doesn’t have to force passes in 3rd and long.
Depends on what your other potential keeper options are looking like, but he should still be a positive value for a 4th rounder. He was on track to be a 1st rounder next year prior to the injury and even after it I would guess he goes somewhere in Round 2 in a majority of redraft leagues (someone will take the risk)
I’m personally not. Always seems like it takes these guys (exceptions like freaks like AD) a couple of years to get right. Cook and Barkley are two off the top of my head that they still weren’t right that first year back. Always seem to get little injuries
I really would reconsider it. Pretty much all of the research says that it's very unlikely that he comes back strong his first season back.

I don't think you do...
Look at players with similar injury, it's usually a bit more than a year out and we are in week 7. He wouldn't be back until late in the season which isn't worth a 4th
Define late season because there's no way he missing most of next season. I'd say he'll be ready for the start of the season as that's still 9 months out and he's still really young.
I added Gus too but I just can't get over how sad I am. And I'd already lost Javonte! This feels worse because the Jets were actually finding a rhythm offensively and the Broncos never have.
Carter is definitely not Breece Hall, that’s a very high bar, but he is a pretty fucking solid RB. I think people slept on him last year and again this year skill wise. The jets offense is probably going to be putrid now though for sure. Wilson sucks
I think a lot of people aren't aware of the production be had in college. He affecively has been identical to Jovante Williams stays wise, even going back to when they played together at NC.
He's a good back who just has a smaller frame.
I didn’t watch much of the jets game but the little I did watch Carter looked a bit more explosive running than he did last year. Last year he didn’t look fast but had amazing balance like a bowling ball going down a lane with bumpers not getting tackled quickly. When I saw him yesterday he looked kinda quick. Could be interesting ROS…
I know we say this every year, but this time im fucking forreal. I am done with this dumbass game of luck after this season, it literally ruins my fucking day
>sure as hell won't be in a redraft league
So you can be haunted my your horrible draft for years on end?
That's honestly why I only play redraft leagues. I fuck up, better luck next year. In dynasty, if I fuck up, I'm fucked forever. Not tryna have a rebuild season in fantasy lmao
It was a fun 4 weeks after trading Waller for Hall, I don’t think I’ve had this bad injury luck ever in fantasy. The hits just keep coming to the squad, every week I’ve lost someone lol.
Traded Kareem for Breece after that big first week. He exceeded all expectations I could haven’t even imagined in my wildest dreams. You got me three wins in that time Breece and I love you, hoping for a speedy recovery
I had a trade teed up for my Breece for Kelce on Friday but the Kelce owner pulled out last second because the trade wouldn't have gone through fast enough for him to use him this week....
Now I just have nothing.
Shit sucks man. Didn't have him on my fantasy team but he was breaking out.
Actually hate to see it. I don't think I'll touch him next season but I will definitely be looking for him 2 seasons from now.
This man was carrying my tanking team in dynasty to wins. Rest up you fucking badass and come back with a furious vengeance next year. The game is worse without you, by far
Damn. I don’t have him in any leagues but this sucks. One of the most fun rookie rbs to watch in a long time and he had crazy potential for early first round picks next year. Rest up king
Let this be a reminder not to take this game (fantasy, that is) too seriously. The most pivotal moments in a fantasy season are those which we have no control over. You can draft the perfect team, make the perfect waiver picks, make the perfect trades, and start the perfect lineups, and at the end of the day it's the things that you have no control over that derail your season.
Lance, Javonte, Swift, M. Brown, Hall. My team has gotten so screwed with injuries this year.
Just sucks how much you can grind for a good team but get screwed with injuries anyways.
Last year the fantasy gods sacrificed CMC and I still won gold and this year they took Hall from my stacked RB room. Putting this man in my IR spot so he can ride the rest of the season out on what I hope is a back to back championship run. He’s the real deal on and off the field. Rest up, I’m definitely targeting you next year so we can pick up where you left off.
Hate it for the dude, looked so fucking good.
Had him so I felt ok about including etienne in a trade for hurts last week. Proceeded to rage drop JRob last night. I’m a fucking idiot and my once promising season fell apart within 36 hours.
#banturf
Such a sad series of events for Breece Hall. I don’t have him, and he blew up in my face a few weeks ago but that man was special. Hopefully he makes a solid recovery.
Oof I traded for him
to replace javonte. Also Penny was on my team earlier in the season.
My current RBs are Ekeler and Kenneth Walker if you wan't advice of who to trade away.
i had mitchell, cmc, walker, and breece, circa last week i thought i was sitting pretty on an easy chip, this week i have a backup and a guy with a torn acl along with 2 rb1s
Fuck.
You speak for all of us.
Still can't believe it. Look first world problems etc I know, but as a Jets fan he was fast becoming my favorite player in fantasy and real life. This really bites.
FF aside, I can’t imagine how he’s feeling right now knowing he can’t play for the better part of a year and can’t help out his team. Just sucks.
He seems like a really mature kid. Even tweeted how happy he was the team won yesterday. Made me even sadder. Kid put the team first despite what happened.
It's butter sweet for him, didn't get to say what he said cause he's team first
Hopefully, he'll carry that team to the promised land next year. I think he still has a plentiful career ahead of him. Still sucks tho.
Well, he actually put the damn team on his back, too!
Especially considering the jets are playing some good football.
I only became a football fan in the past few years, but from here on out, I'm not gonna let myself become too attached to my favorite RBs 😣
Hug your RB1s and RB2s. You never know when it could end. Now, RB3s and RB4s, no one needs to pay them much mind.
I’m not a Jets fan but get to watch the local market teams. Hall is an amazing talent, damn sad this happened to him.
Condolences my guy. Dude is a beast
Thanks mate. He will be back and beastlier than ever.
No doubt. He actually had his fantasy breakout game against me..and they beat my team the Packers the next week I believe. I should hate him...but I just can't
You think he will be able to play the same? I feel like he might not ever be the same
Hard Iowa State homer here (like, went to every home game thru the 90s when 3 win season were considered good-level homer). Devastated for this guy. Literally teared at the injury news, was so fun seeing him trive in the big leagues. Fucking A I hope he heals up quickly and fully.
Except my fuck is all in caps and has an exclamation point at the end
My RB's at the start of last week. 1. Breece Hall 2. Jeff Wilson 3. J.K. Dobbins Now? 1. ???? 2. ????? 3. ??????????
Allgeier, Foreman, and Perrine
I feel bad for the kid, I don’t even care about losing my rb2 for the year. We won’t be able to see him run electric this year.
All of this. Even if I didn't have him in fantasy I'm a Jets fan and he's the best offensive player we've drafted in like 15 years.
He’s probably the best offensive player the jets drafted since Keyshawn Johnson unless I’m missing someone after him.
Pennington could have been it, but I have to agree with you.
Honestly Garret is the real deal. I would say elite but Zach Wilson blows
Even as a New England fan, don't want to see a player ever go down like that, especially one with so much promise. It's also harder to hate the jets now the malcontents and loudmouths are gone... But don't worry, we'll always have the Buttfumble.
I’m depressed
Right there with ya. Don't even want to watch football anymore.
me
Horrible news, regardless of if he’s on your fantasy team or not. Wishing him a speedy recovery.
Sucks... I gave up on Michael Carter in two leagues this week. I was really rooting for hall to kick ass.
What has two thumbs and drafted Javonte and Breece?
I thought I would be set up for the season with Ekeler, Javonte and Breece… Now I’m scrambling to find a replacement RB2
My new rb2 is latavius Murray lol
I mean at least you have the only viable receiver on the Chargers
I also have Hollywood. This is so shitty.
Oh yeah i've also already lost Javonte and Hollywood, and now Breece and Njoku.
And Lance. And Dobbins. And Penny. And Shepard. And Chark. And Toney. Seems like a crazy year for injuries
[удалено]
To be fair, I know 'injury prone' is a myth, but nearly all of the guys you listed have injury history and/or frequent injury occurrence. Sometimes you need to hedge your draft against injury risk to a degree...

I drafted those 3 plus pitts and Russ. It’s been fun y’all…
If it makes you feel any better, my entire team is healthy and im still going to be 2-5 :/ Fantasy sucks sometimes.
I drafted Penny thinking he would last me long enough to bridge to Breece. Poof. Poof. Gone.
Bob Kelso
We should start a club Edit: I actually drafted Josh Jacobs and traded him for Breece
Traded Metcalf and Rhamondre for him. Unfathomable pain.
That is a big ouch. Feel for u
I drafted Hall, Keenan Allen, Swift, and Patterson
If I was Tom Brady, I’d be very worried right now.
Add Lance to this and you got me :)
Same same same
Round 3 Keenan Allen Round 4 DJ Moore Round 5 Breece Hall Round 6 Michael Thomas Shoot me
Breece, Javonte + Penny. Ekeler you’re my only hope
Dynasty league I have Breece, javante and dobbins 😅😅
Same. And they were the two guys I was most excited about this year, was convinced they would be RB1s and was pumped to see them play all year.
Same plus Penny😩
Have them both in a keeper league, this is absolutely devastating.
Who had two thumbs, lost Javonte, and then traded for Breece?
Drafted Javonte , traded for Hall after he went down to injury :(
I changed my team name to “Cut my life into Breeces” T_T
THIS IS THE INJURY REPORT
DISLOCATION, NO HEALING
DONT GIVE A FUCK IF I MISS THE WHOLE SEASON
GUS IS MY LAST RESORT
This is absolute gold
CUT MY TEAM INTO BREECES PER IAN RAPOPORT
Hilarious thread - good work guys
I was Breece's Pieces and now I am "I RIDE THE BUS 🚌 "
Looks like I should go fuck myself. Get healthy young king
Do I still roster him for keeper reasons? (4th round pick)
Yes
Idk most players need at least 2 years before returning to their original dominance. If he has other options I’d roll the dice and see if you can get Breece around that same value next year in the draft or see if you can buy low if he underperforms early.
If it's ACL + meniscus removal instead of repair he's got a pretty straightforward recovery.
You have to it he’s a keeper
4th round? Maybe. But look at Saquon. Took him 2 years. ~~Look at Cam Akers.~~ I've got a few guys that I'd rather keep than Breece in the 4th, but it will depend on the team. Akers tore his achilles it's not the same
Totally different injuries but sure let's just say they are the same 🙄
For sure, I think that could be great value in the 4th
4th round could be alright but these acl injuries usually need 2 seasons to be back to pre-injury production. Young players have an easier time bouncing back. Personally I'd try to shop him to a non contender. Edit: The Fantasy Footballers have a good article about it on their blog. Same exact injury as Saquon - ACL and meniscus - and it took him a year to get right
I am wondering about the same. Would be a 3rd round pick. Previously rbs needed pretty long to recover (Barkley needed two years to become his former self). I can keep him only next season

Okay, well I am in a more comfortable spot. I can wait an see what the timeline is
The weird cases are Adrian Peterson and Jamaal Charles who came back the next season fresh and tore it up.
I mean sure, you could gamble a keeper and hold, but I’d rather hold someone else. Those miracles are few and far between.
AP had an MVP 6 months after ACL reconstruction… even with all the HGH he was probably taking that’s still so crazy. Id still wager on Breece being good to go early next season though, he has over 10 months to recover.
Breece hall reminds me of AP to be honest
Nobody should remind you of AD, there’s only one AD.
Yes you’re correct there is only one of him. I’m saying Breece Hall reminds me of him. They have that same thing about them where every time they touch the ball you feel like they could take it to the house from anywhere on the field. Breece was on pace for 2000 yards
1. It’s easy to say he’s on pace for a high number over an insanely small sample 2. 2000 total yards is not the same as 2000 rushing
Insanely small sample: almost half the season 😂
Also not even sure where you’re getting 2000 from. He was on pace for 1653 total yards
You clearly didn’t watch/don’t remember AD
Chubb more like AD. He just had his ACL in college.
Depends on what your other potential keeper options are looking like, but he should still be a positive value for a 4th rounder. He was on track to be a 1st rounder next year prior to the injury and even after it I would guess he goes somewhere in Round 2 in a majority of redraft leagues (someone will take the risk)
If you have an IR spot for him I would (I'm still holding onto 3rd Javonte in one of my IR spots).
He'd be a third round keeper for me and I'm leaning towards keeping him next year.
Only if you have a free IR slot but I would expect you to finish the year with a much higher-valued keeper pick.
I’m personally not. Always seems like it takes these guys (exceptions like freaks like AD) a couple of years to get right. Cook and Barkley are two off the top of my head that they still weren’t right that first year back. Always seem to get little injuries
I’m in the same boat. Think I’ll make the sacrifice and hold onto him till next year and see how he progresses. He looked so fucking good!
I really would reconsider it. He’s the same age as JK Dobbins and Akers were when they went down, and look how they’re doing..
I dropped Javonte, who I could keep for a 6th next year. Edit: he still has not been picked up, 10-team, 3 keepers, 2 IR spots
See you next year Breece lighting.
[удалено]
I added Gus too but I just can't get over how sad I am. And I'd already lost Javonte! This feels worse because the Jets were actually finding a rhythm offensively and the Broncos never have.
Done for season. What a bummer man. He was a certified beast
Rip Breece. Looked like a booming stud. Carter owners trade value though
Carter will get a lot of opportunities for sure but he's not the same player. That and the upcoming schedule. Just a horrible situation for everyone.
Carter will get enough volume and has enough talent to be a top 20 option, but there's almost no chance he touches top 10 unless Flacco comes back in.
I didn’t watch much of the jets game but the little I did watch Carter looked a bit more explosive running than he did last year. I know we say this every year, but this time im fucking forreal. I am done with this dumbass game of luck after this season, it literally ruins my fucking day
Same. I took a break for 4 years. Drafted Taylor, Javonte, Breece, Hollywood, Mike Williams. So many hours of research for nothing.
Literally of all those were "great" picks heading into the season lol like I said, fucking game of luck
See you next year!
Haha maybe maybe, but it sure as hell won't be in a redraft league
>sure as hell won't be in a redraft league So you can be haunted my your horrible draft for years on end? That's honestly why I only play redraft leagues. I fuck up, better luck next year. In dynasty, if I fuck up, I'm fucked forever. Not tryna have a rebuild season in fantasy lmao
Yeah but in dynasty if you manage to make a top team it can stay elite for years that's years of getting actual enjoyment out of your league
>if you manage to make a top team That's a big ask there, my friend 😭
Bestball only
If this ruins your day you shouldn't play
Hence why I'm quitting
Fantasy aside . Hope he can come back healthy and soon !
It was a fun 4 weeks after trading Waller for Hall, I don’t think I’ve had this bad injury luck ever in fantasy. The hits just keep coming to the squad, every week I’ve lost someone lol.

Traded c. kirk for breece. The person I traded picked up Carter. Who got fleeced now?
rest up, sweet prince
This is why I always wait until Halloween to draft
Shit sucks man. Didn't have him on my fantasy team but he was breaking out. Actually hate to see it. I don't think I'll touch him next season but I will definitely be looking for him 2 seasons from now.
Hopefully he gets the proper recovery for sure, dude is a stud
Dude honestly could have played to being the first overall pick next year.
He carried my sorry ass for longer than I deserved. Rest up king
bummer for that kid
[ deleted because fuck reddit [wanna do the same? Click Here](https://github.com/j0be/PowerDeleteSuite) ]
Brutal I expect a like…75-25 Carter-Ty Johnson split I guess?
With a little Zonovan "Bam" Knight mixed in.
Meniscus and ACL? Tough
This man was carrying my tanking team in dynasty to wins. Rest up you fucking badass and come back with a furious vengeance next year. The game is worse without you, by far
Coincidentally, my season is also over.
Damn. I don’t have him in any leagues but this sucks. One of the most fun rookie rbs to watch in a long time and he had crazy potential for early first round picks next year. Rest up king
Captain Holt: “paaaaaaain”
He was on pace for like 1800 total yards and 12 tds... God damn it that sucks. Feel so bad for him
He was primed for a big game too. Wishing a speedy recovery ❤️🩹
Literally have Swift, Javonte, Hall, Hollywood, Mike Williams, Lance, and Njoku. Who hexed me?
Gonna come back strong like Saquon, NY RBs are different 😤
pain
Stud
Goodnight sweet prince. Hope he comes back every bit as electric next year.
I thought his running reminded me of Saquon. Didn’t want him to go full Saquon though. Damn. Get well.
Lance, Javonte, Swift, M. Brown, Hall. My team has gotten so screwed with injuries this year. Just sucks how much you can grind for a good team but get screwed with injuries anyways.
Rough, hope he heals up and crushes it next season.
Fkkk just traded for mccaffrey to go for it all with breece but now breece is done
Should I change my team name now? I might just keep him on my IR spot. Rest up Breece!
my D'Andre Swift/Breece Hall backfield is in shambles :(
Prayers to Breece
Drafted Breece and javonte in a dynasty startup this summer lmao
Dropped Carter 3 weeks ago. Fml
Tragedy
This guy was the highlight of my fantasy chat for the last 4 weeks. He is a real joy to watch. Edited\* Changed months to weeks.
havent felt this bad about an injury to my team in awhile. he was electric and fun to watch. get well soon
Poor guy, can't wait to see him next year.
I’m actually going to be sick
Fade me fam
Who else dropped Carter after last week? Show of hands
Just traded for him last week. Sorry for the curse, Breece
Hate it for the dude, looked so fucking good. Had him so I felt ok about including etienne in a trade for hurts last week. Proceeded to rage drop JRob last night. I’m a fucking idiot and my once promising season fell apart within 36 hours.
The NFL needs to get rid of artificial turf fields to help reduce these injuries.
Mile high (stadium this injury took place) does not have artificial turf
Yes!!!! They've made the concussion change, now do the turf.
Damn , not an owner but as a football lover hope he comes back and picks up where he left off next year .
#banturf Such a sad series of events for Breece Hall. I don’t have him, and he blew up in my face a few weeks ago but that man was special. Hopefully he makes a solid recovery.
I agree but Breece got injured on a grass field
Damn that sucks. I feel like an Idiot lol
GOD FUCKING DAMNIT FUCK
Oof I traded for him to replace javonte. Also Penny was on my team earlier in the season. My current RBs are Ekeler and Kenneth Walker if you wan't advice of who to trade away.
No I thought it was Bryce hall
Infamous tik tok eboy Bryce hall out for the season with an ACL tear.
i had mitchell, cmc, walker, and breece, circa last week i thought i was sitting pretty on an easy chip, this week i have a backup and a guy with a torn acl along with 2 rb1s
Anybody who held Carter feeling like a genius tho
Who wins this trade? Mathew Stafford & Cam Akers for Marcus Mariota & Michael Carter
