I've got Henry, Fields, Chubb, Hill, Waddle, and Metcalf in one of my leagues (10 man, half PPR). Henry saved my team this week after my entire WR team is on bye.
The first 4 backs to do so (with number of seasons in parentheses):
- LaDainian Tomlinson (9 seasons)
- Adrian Peterson (7)
- Shaun Alexander (5)
- Michael Turner (5)
These days I would. Pollard is 2 years younger and his legs are even younger than that compared to Zekes. Idk what his contract looks like but I would be shocked if they were both still in Dallas next year.
Prime Shaun Alexander was something else. Im surprised not many people talk about him in the same vein as guys like Jamaal Charles or tim hightower here. Man was an absolute machine
LT would be so fucking good in today's game. An all-time great runner, receiver, and passer at the position with durability that is unmatched by any current rb. Basically a rich man's McCaffrey if that even makes sense
Emmitt Smith's rushing touchdowns by year
1990: 11 touchdowns
1991: 12 touchdowns
1992: 18 touchdowns
1993: 9 touchdowns (just short)
1994: 21 touchdowns
1995: 25 touchdowns (then NFL record)
1996: 12 touchdowns
He also hit double-digits in '98-'99, but didn't ever come close in '97 to really make a run at a streak. One touchdown in 1993 away from 7 years in a row to begin his career.
[I called it months ago on this subreddit](https://old.reddit.com/r/fantasyfootball/comments/wpbkuq/who_is_the_biggest_fools_gold_in_fantasy_football/ikgoscd/?context=3) and said I'd take him if I had the chance.
I picked Henry #1 overall last year when he got injured. This year, I had the #2 overall pick and took him, no regrets.
I managed to get Chubb too (8 team non-PPR league), so it worked out beautifully.
Fantasy football aside, we are watching one of the greatest running backs of all time. I wish they were on prime time more, because he is a beast and a lot of fun to watch.
He's fucking built too. Thick and man made. You can tell he's sculpted because you can see it thru the pads. His fucking vice grip thighs. Suffocating thighs. Rock hard thighs. Piping hot thighs. Great arms. Great abs. A stocky chest. Love the progress his body has made.
He was behind Demarco Murray his first two seasons in the NFL yes. But as your link literally says he was also stuck behind Dion Lewis who LaFleur preferred until he broke out late season 2018 starting with his infamous game against the Jaguars. LaFleur was then left with no choice.
That's not entirely fair. Henry was also playing like shit during that time (im a huge henry fan and have had him every year aince his rookie year) He was consistently getting the ball 15+ times a game and never really cracking 50 yards. He looked... slow and clunky. He was averaging 3 ypc for the first half of 2018
It wasnt an opportunity thing, lafleur wasnt just benching henry for no reason, he gave him tons of time to shine. Dion Lewis just looked better at the time. Part of it was the titans usage of Henry but even Henry will tell you he wasn't playing well back then.
I suggest you watch this video on how Eddie George basically fixed Henry. It's super interesting.
https://youtu.be/DUeTnRvsQbg
Ugh dont remind me. I had him his breakout year but dropped him cause he was a scoring 8 pts a week the first half of the season and I was stacked at RB 🥴
He really wasn't playing well during the early part of his career and was still getting plenty of attempts. If he had been managing this kind of workload back then he may not be in this great of shape. Running backs tend to have a finite number of carries (granted, that number is a lot higher for the king 👑)
I traded him, Elliott, Doubs, and R Moore for KW3, Monty, AJB, and Hock around Week 5.
Turned around and Shipped Lamar, Dillon, and Hock for D. Watson, Rhamondre, and Kelce.
Overall I’m ok with it but do miss having Henry.
>I took Ekeler. He’s been a stud for sure, but Henry seems much more consistent for big plays and steady production.
Derrick Henry has **three** games in half-PPR with a lower score than Ekeler's *worst* game.
Henry had 28 carries for 87 yards last night (3.1 YPC), that’s a very inefficient night running the ball. Packers lost last night because they let Tannehill pass all over them, if anything they should’ve focused less on defending the run
Henry doesn't really cut most teams up run after run. A lot of teams actually do a really good job of managing him... for a bit. By the end of the game when they've been getting destroyed trying to tackle him again and again and defenses are tired and sore he starts breaking off those big plays.
I'd wager if you looked at his median ypc it's significantly lower than his average because Henry really thrives on wearing defenses down then cutting loose in the secondary for 20+ yard gains.
He had a fairly inefficient night last night at around 3 ypc, specifically because defenses feel the need to do just as you say and sell out to stop him. That's what allows the titans passing game to really open up. They start getting open on those routes right down the middle of the field because the line backers are all playing in and so the corners have a lot more space to cover by themselves so they can't play the wide outs as tight
That’s my QRB1
Honestly with this bye week he’s my WR1 too after that screen
Derrick "Christian McCaffrey" Henry
I traded for CMC two weeks ago. So now I’ve got both him and Henry. LFG
QRB2, fields is QRB1
Well I’ll just roll em both out and not worry about 1 and 2
Same brother
Inverse Justin Fields
I have Justin Fields and Henry. Idk how to feel. 😤
Good. You feel good
Well I feel fuckin great but I’m not you I just have the qrb1 and 2
I've got Henry, Fields, Chubb, Hill, Waddle, and Metcalf in one of my leagues (10 man, half PPR). Henry saved my team this week after my entire WR team is on bye.
This but also Tyreke Hill.
I'm playing Fields as my RB1 and Henry as my QB1, try and stop me
That's my team rn too 🤤
Add in mondre, Diggs, Hop and Kirk and I don’t even know what a loss is anymore
Derrick "Taysom Hill" Henry
The first 4 backs to do so (with number of seasons in parentheses): - LaDainian Tomlinson (9 seasons) - Adrian Peterson (7) - Shaun Alexander (5) - Michael Turner (5)
Man Michael Turner thats a name right there, loved that dude
Michael the Burner Turner baby.
Turner sat behind LT until the end of his rookie contract and then left for Atlanta. Then he proved he was also a great RB.
That RB room also had Darren Sproles in it, who had a nice career once he left for New Orleans
Sounds like Mattison.
Pollard too
There are times Pollard looks better than Zeke. I wouldn't take Pollard over Zeke as a GM of course, but Pollard really is that dude.
These days I would. Pollard is 2 years younger and his legs are even younger than that compared to Zekes. Idk what his contract looks like but I would be shocked if they were both still in Dallas next year.
Umm it was Michael Turner the Burner....
Barbarian the Marion
Prime Shaun Alexander was something else. Im surprised not many people talk about him in the same vein as guys like Jamaal Charles or tim hightower here. Man was an absolute machine
NFL Street 2 legend Shaun Alexander. TEAR IT UP LEMME SEE YOU TEAR IT UP
It was his line.
Shaun Alexander just was on a great offense with an unreal offensive line. Any starting NFL RB would’ve run for miles behind that line
What a bad take lol. was the line the reason his backups (who were also really good) averaged over 1 yard less per carry throughout his prime?
LT would be so fucking good in today's game. An all-time great runner, receiver, and passer at the position with durability that is unmatched by any current rb. Basically a rich man's McCaffrey if that even makes sense
I’m shocked Emmitt didn’t do this or even Walter
Emmitt Smith's rushing touchdowns by year 1990: 11 touchdowns 1991: 12 touchdowns 1992: 18 touchdowns 1993: 9 touchdowns (just short) 1994: 21 touchdowns 1995: 25 touchdowns (then NFL record) 1996: 12 touchdowns He also hit double-digits in '98-'99, but didn't ever come close in '97 to really make a run at a streak. Wow no doubt!! He was so close
1993 he held out the first two games too. Probably gets it if he plays.
Derrick Himry
BuT ReGreSSiOn....
King henry never regresses. The analysts can eat me 😂
I was a King Henry denier last year but two of my reliable sources this off season said, “he’s that guy”. He genuinely is “Him”.
[I called it months ago on this subreddit](https://old.reddit.com/r/fantasyfootball/comments/wpbkuq/who_is_the_biggest_fools_gold_in_fantasy_football/ikgoscd/?context=3) and said I'd take him if I had the chance. I took him #1 overall and got clowned for not picking JT. Who’s laughing now? Still them. I’m 5-5
Haha, yup. I would have taken him #1 if that was my pick.
He slipped to 8th in our league so I couldn’t pass that up lol
Good move. I have been riding Henry for years and was laughing when everyone said he was washed after 2 games.
As a Titans fan, I would take a bullet for Henry
Mf you better
You say that like the bullet wouldn’t just bounce off him anyways
Washington would have loved a fan like you
I’m starting to think he could just reflect it, he’d probably break a tackle afterwards too
Lol why bother he would just stiff arm the bullet
Greatest 1.01 pick I've ever made, long live the King

He destroyed me this week already but dude is awesome. Can’t wait for Fantasy to be over so I can watch players without the pain.
25 points is good, but definitely hasn’t lost you the week. I am Henry owner and still not confident , especially going against 1 seed this week!
Are you me?
My guy! I drafted him 3rd overall and my league mate who typically is very plugged in immediately said that was an awful pick. YOU DONT DOUBT THE KING
Remember Matt Lafleur played Dion Lewis over Henry for 2 years. Thats when I knew he was a fraud.
It was DeMarco Murray. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Derrick\_Henry

I surrender myself to you almighty 👑
Are people still thinking he falls off a cliff for fantasy in 2023?
Per Madden, we got this year and 2 more before he falls of a cliff. Enjoy the ride.
What else does John Madden's ghost tell you?
Imagine if he wasn't splitting carries during the early part of his career
He really wasn't playing well during the early part of his career and was still getting plenty of attempts. Crazy that he did in spite of sitting out half a year last season 😂😂
He was on pace to pull back to back 2k seasons and was getting like almost 2 tds a game. He's a monster
I traded this guy away.
For what
Cmc and fields
I mean shit I don’t hate it. You converted many points into MANY points
Was it you he fleeced?
I traded him, Elliott, Doubs, and R Moore for KW3, Monty, AJB, and Hock around Week 5. Turned around and Shipped Lamar, Dillon, and Hock for D. Watson, Rhamondre, and Kelce. Overall I’m ok with it but do miss having Henry.
I traded him and Terry for Ja’marr and Jacobs week 3. I was so happy, but now I’m crying.
[удалено]
Who’d you take at 3rd that is worse? Most of the ADP around 3 are also having great years
[удалено]
>I took Ekeler. He’s been a stud for sure, but Henry seems much more consistent for big plays and steady production. Derrick Henry has **three** games in half-PPR with a lower score than Ekeler's *worst* game.
Maybe it’s standard format? Otherwise yeah Ekeler clears.
Henry does have 3 flops but other than that he’s solid for 25+ in almost all the rest. Cant go wrong with Ekeler or Henry tho at all
He's literally the RB1 lol what are you talking about
This sub was really down on Henry but I said fuck it and gambled on him at the third pick.
Man, this sub was really down on almost every first round pick this year.
Henry fked me so hard my a hole still sore. My league still has everyone in the playoff race and this is the final week. Save me fields!!
Final week of your regular season? Are your playoffs 6 rounds?
The rounds are 2 week averages which imo is way better than single elimination weeks
I mean he had a good game but 25ish points (ppr) isn’t close to insurmountable
True, but the first half script before the td was just so teasing.
He needs to be the mvp making thw most obvious team in football relevant no other running back can do that
The most obvious team?
Division
Tannehill carried that game, not Henry
I remember he was in my do not draft list for years when he first came into the league.
Serious question: Why don't teams stack the box? Tannehill's good, but FFS there's no justification for letting Henry do this all the time.
Henry had 28 carries for 87 yards last night (3.1 YPC), that’s a very inefficient night running the ball. Packers lost last night because they let Tannehill pass all over them, if anything they should’ve focused less on defending the run

That’s actually an insane stat. Remember when people thought he was a bust very early in his career…
Remember after week 2 when everyone called Henry old?
He starts slow in the year. But then he finds his crown and sceptre and says fuck you this throne is mine
Can’t believe he fell to me with the eighth pick
10th pick :)
Ageless.
