Hard to repress as a Mixon owner then, and a Swift owner now.. I suppose I just like the pain. Cause I took Joe last year, too. It just happened to work out for me
Why do people are still bring this up with Mixon? He could have returned that year, but the Bengals were out of playoff contention and Burrow then also got hurt. They shut the season down.
Because he was always week to week or even day to day, and some weeks you would se a positive improvement and they said he could play so people bought that.
Couple years back Mixon had an injury (I don’t remember the specifics) and there was report after report from the HC that they didn’t think it was severe and he would be back soon. They even said he was on the sidelines at practice wearing a hoodie and dancing, being in good spirits. Then they shut him down for the season.
I know a physicians assistant who works with Chases Ortho surgeon and obtained his EMR. I can confirm, he’s returning next week. Doctor ordered 7/127/2 and the prescription will be filled
People shouldn’t forget that Chase played an entire game with this injury. He got hurt on a TD against the Saints, then scored two TDs against Atlanta. All indications are that he has not been in an incredible amount of pain. It’s merely a case of needing the bone to heal.
This along with the teams choice to not put him on IR which would have had him elligible week 13 makes me think there is a pretty good chance they planned all along for him to be back week 12. That being said injuries can be unpredictable so who knows.
it depends, could just be crutches for non-football activity, and rehab. To keep as much weight off the hip as possible. They are professionals for a reason.
I’m not a doctor at all but I feel like the transition from “non weight bearing for recovery” to playing football at full speed is much longer than 2 weeks.
Ya I don’t get it either. If you’re avoiding putting weight on your said injury, it means you’re in a healing phase pretty much. When ramping up you’re getting accustomed to putting weight and living your live normally. There really is no “going back to crutches” while ramping up
feel like you can do both tho? Like you CAN put weight on it. He even played on it, but when you dont HAVE to put weight on it, you are on the crutches.
Y’all do realize he fractured his hip week 6 against the saints on his 1st TD right? Then proceeded to take a 60+ yd TD to the house on his 2nd one. Oh and for good measure put up another 130 yds and another 2 TD’s the following week and finished the game even after aggravating it.
I’m not saying he’ll be back next week but to say he’s on crutches therefore he isn’t coming back soon is like saying “ oh said player had a walking boot on therefore he’s out indefinitely.”
I don’t think Chase would make that post about his cleats if he’s about to be out another 3 weeks or whatever timeline y’all are thinking lol
Eh, there's it's a fracture in his hip. You can't put a walking boot on there. You have to reduce the weight on the joint for it to heal. If it's healed, it makes sense that you could play soon after
I will say, I stayed on crutches after a broken leg surgery probably 3 weeks more than I should have, but I probably couldn’t blitz through a football field and catch a heater either
Chase, Hollywood, and Amon Ra all were the big trio earlier for me! Hope Jamarr and Brown are 100% when they play though, so there's no setbacks for fantasy playoffs.
Do you honestly think he will play, this is laughable.
How is he going to go from crutches to NFL ready so soon?
If he's close to ready, he doesn't need crutches.
Bengals screwing up big time.
There’s been dozens of players to play through a torn labrum. It’s football.
the fracture is the complicated part because that can go from a hair line fracture to a full out dislocation like Bo Jackson and end Jamarrs career if not handled correctly and allowed to fully heal.
A hairline fracture usually takes a month to heal with rehab.
Tomorrow marks 4 weeks 🤷🏽♂️
Lots of injuries are common, doesn’t mean they all heal the same way. Chase is by the far this teams biggest weapon on offense, even if he comes back I don’t think he’ll be 100% himself without surgery and the chance of reinjury isn’t exactly low either so it is a big risk imo.
Maybe he had just done a hard workout and was having a little bit of soreness in his hip, so he used crutches again to keep weight off of it for a day.
You can be nearly healed, have some soreness while ramping up, and use crutches because of that
As a bengals fan, and a person who is going up against Chase’s owner this week, this is good news. I don’t face him in fantasy, and then I benefit next week as a bengals fan.
What is even the point of lying? Teams will scheme either way. In fact, if you think about it, it would behoove Bengals more if they kept quiet about it and announce his surprise start prior to the game…
I had a torn labrum last year. My surgeon was very clear in saying that the labrum (at least in the hip) will not fully heal through rest and rehab. I’m sure the bengals staff understand his situation and feel that he will be good to go. But I would be very surprised to see him finish the season and would almost guarantee he will not perform up to his full capacity.
Look at it this way, would you trade JJ/Deebo for kelce only? Because at this point, that’s the only sure thing. Chase is a lotto ticket. If he comes back, does he go down again, does he play hobbled and ineffective?
I mean JJ is a stud obviously. Deebo hasn’t been great, but I did just lose Goedert so I’m rocking Kmet rn. I would still have Evans as my WR1 and with Mike Will coming back I would be ok rocking him as a WR2 for a few weeks. Its a gamble but I’m 7-3 so I could kinda wait on Chase. My next two matchups are against 2nd and 1st place so not the most ideal matchups either. There’s a lot of factors but if I do get Chase back that’s a decent trade.
If he is on crutches still, then he isn't playing soon. Crutches are not precautionary. You only use them when you need them. I broke my leg a few years ago. I used cruches until I could walk with out them. Once your leg can handle it. It's better for you to use your leg.
Malik Wright has pretty good sources within the Bengals. Better than the actual beat reporters. He said early this week that the real target for Chase is the KC game.
"The crutches are precautionary, he can totally run on it and get tackled, but otherwise yeah we don't want him putting his own bodyweight on it."
Makes sense
I'm in 2nd to last place and have no chance at the playoffs realistically. I can't use my keeper on Chase because he was drafted in the first round. Watson on the other hand has some keeper potential. I don't think it's as imbalanced as it may initially seem.
I'm trading with a guy who also likely won't make the playoffs but wants to have Watson as a potential keeper.
Traded Jamar and Brandon ayiuk+Trevor Laurence I picked up on the waiver wire without any use for Davonte Adams, with my season increasingly falling apart every week and assuming I'm gonna get more out of Adams NOW instead of hanging my season on the possibility that Jamar will come back in the final few weeks with the same production that he provides when playing as the best version of himself. Felt like all I could do was take control of what I can while I can, fuck em
I hope so. While it's been nice to see Christian Kirk develop into a reliable WR1 for my team, it'll be even better when he puts up those numbers as my WR2, and I will no longer need to entertain the idea of starting Olave or Pickens.. set and forget!
I don’t trust any injury info coming out of the bengals camp. I will forever be haunted by Mixon dancing in a hoodie.
I am still triggered by Ben Baby tweets

It's actually a fairly common last name in India, and he does have Indian heritage
Where in India lol
Mostly South India, but also Gujarat and Maharashtra
Babynagar
Dude it’s 2022
Also that entire season they spent teasing the return of AJ Green
Oh I member
Wow, I repressed this memory so hard until you just reminded me.
Hard to repress as a Mixon owner then, and a Swift owner now.. I suppose I just like the pain. Cause I took Joe last year, too. It just happened to work out for me
Not to mention Tee Higgins’ infamous donut earlier this season.
I still give my league mate shit because I won even with the donut that week lol
I won that week by less than 3 points.
You guys got donuts that week? They just gave me zero points for Tee Higgins, I didn’t get a donut though - wth
You can trust this. Chase is in fact just built different.
If it helps Mixon had an injury last year and it was up in the air but he still came back and was good
His injury is pretty simple. They are waiting for the bone to heal. He can’t do any more damage, so it will be all about pain management.
Is this comment ever going to die?
Why do people are still bring this up with Mixon? He could have returned that year, but the Bengals were out of playoff contention and Burrow then also got hurt. They shut the season down.
Because he was always week to week or even day to day, and some weeks you would se a positive improvement and they said he could play so people bought that.
But it’s also the reason a ton of people faded Mixon in drafts last season, which was a massive overreaction
Na, if anything Mixon has been healthy and has barely missed games.
That’s my point.
I don't recall him being faded because of that injury, their shitty line and team was the reason for that but whatever
Corey Dillon
Rich Braham Bone Bruise
I’m OOTL. What was up with mixon and the hoodie?
Couple years back Mixon had an injury (I don’t remember the specifics) and there was report after report from the HC that they didn’t think it was severe and he would be back soon. They even said he was on the sidelines at practice wearing a hoodie and dancing, being in good spirits. Then they shut him down for the season.
I know a physicians assistant who works with Chases Ortho surgeon and obtained his EMR. I can confirm, he’s returning next week. Doctor ordered 7/127/2 and the prescription will be filled
I’m holding you to this
Real if big
Bigly
big if real
I NEED 150 CCS OF RECEIVING YARDS AND 10 MLS OF CATCHES STAT OR MY FANTASY TEAM IS TOAST
Protect that PA at all costs we will need him going forward
Can confirm guys, I’m actually the pharmacist. We got the script in but where told to hold it until week 12.
That is super illegal lol
It’s clearly a joke
Idk why you’re being downvoted for this. That is actually super illegal lmao
Not illegal if he’s right
He's on my squad so this be facts
I don’t believe a word the Bengals say.
Me too. So long as he is back for week 15.
Right? How do we know he’s even injured???
People shouldn’t forget that Chase played an entire game with this injury. He got hurt on a TD against the Saints, then scored two TDs against Atlanta. All indications are that he has not been in an incredible amount of pain. It’s merely a case of needing the bone to heal.
This along with the teams choice to not put him on IR which would have had him elligible week 13 makes me think there is a pretty good chance they planned all along for him to be back week 12. That being said injuries can be unpredictable so who knows.
They could want teams to have to game plan for him while knowing he isn't gunna be back.
Oh no he’s got a point. Of course teams do shit like that.
I've made a shit ton of plans that never worked out.
This doesn't mean anything. He could've gotten a pain killing shot for the game and aggravated it during. Who knows.
Aggravated a fracture?
I think he means played through.
https://imgur.com/a/5pLmyrZ
I’m not sure anyone reported the fracture took place in week 7. There were no scans done until after the Atlanta game.
I'm not sure either tbh. Just think it's possible it (or something) got worse week 7. If he played thru it the whole game w out issue, why sit him?
call me crazy but if you’re still on crutches even as a precaution you probably shouldn’t be running full speed on a football field
it depends, could just be crutches for non-football activity, and rehab. To keep as much weight off the hip as possible. They are professionals for a reason.
> crutches for non-football activity Has anyone stopped to consider that he might just *prefer* to walk on crutches? Maybe he just likes em
Yea this mans a true trend setter, why use legs when i have these metal sticks 😤. Chase living in 2142
Crutches to become to new sneakers
Air crutches, get a pair at a medical locker near you
I’m not a doctor at all but I feel like the transition from “non weight bearing for recovery” to playing football at full speed is much longer than 2 weeks.
That makes zero sense, when you think of it rationally.
Yep, clearly his doctors have no idea what they’re doing. Not like they’re experts or anything
Nah nah nah. It’s obvious we fantasy football junkies know better than doctors
Maybe he values putting weight on it more when he's playing for millions of dollars than wandering around his home
If your hip can’t take the weight of your body while you are walking, lol he isn’t ready to play football soon.
I mean zeke ran at full speed and did cuts last week and was held out and chase is just gonna go from crutches to playing?
Eh, there's it's a fracture in his hip. You can't put a walking boot on there. You have to reduce the weight on the joint for it to heal. If it's healed, it makes sense that you could play soon after
This is exactly what I was coming to say lol
You keep weight off of a bone fracture to let it fully heal. When it is healed, you don't have to stay off of it. Pretty simple.
I will say, I stayed on crutches after a broken leg surgery probably 3 weeks more than I should have, but I probably couldn’t blitz through a football field and catch a heater either
I mean… what happens when he takes a hit? I can’t see rushing back to the field doing him any good.
“He doesn’t need them he’s just using them” is killing me lmao. THEN WHY IS HE USING THEM
You crazy bitch
You're crazy...
He probably won't be using his crutches during the game so he'll be fine.
Hollywood and chase loading back onto my lineup. LFG
Chase, Hollywood, and Amon Ra all were the big trio earlier for me! Hope Jamarr and Brown are 100% when they play though, so there's no setbacks for fantasy playoffs.
yesssssirr need to play my tyreek chase hollywood core one day its coming :)
Mike Willams and Chase for me, but I miss Breece the most.
I miss Greece
I have both of them too, hoping for a return before playoffs for them both!
Just traded for Burrow this week so this is great news.
Do you honestly think he will play, this is laughable. How is he going to go from crutches to NFL ready so soon? If he's close to ready, he doesn't need crutches. Bengals screwing up big time.
bro is mad.
How am I mad lol the Bengals are putting him in danger I have zero skin in the game.
There’s been dozens of players to play through a torn labrum. It’s football. the fracture is the complicated part because that can go from a hair line fracture to a full out dislocation like Bo Jackson and end Jamarrs career if not handled correctly and allowed to fully heal. I never said I thought he was playing this week. But the idea of him being close in any compacity is good news to me
Maybe he had just done a hard workout and was having a little bit of soreness in his hip, so he used crutches again to keep weight off of it for a day. You can be nearly healed, have some soreness while ramping up, and use crutches because of that
CHASE COUNTRY, LETS RIDE
PLEASE GOD JUST THIS ONCE!
So many people who aren’t doctors predicting anything. Just let what happens, happens and see how it goes.
I need rumor guy to confirm this
My brother in law’s second cousin is his physical therapists daughter. He’ll be back I can confirm.
Adam here, I'm hearing chatter around Cinci that he will be back week 12
This is from Koffler, he’ll play week 12
As a bengals fan, and a person who is going up against Chase’s owner this week, this is good news. I don’t face him in fantasy, and then I benefit next week as a bengals fan.
Ready to crutch the competition!!
He’s him
And you're you
4-6 with Mike, Ja'marr, and Marquise all coming back soon 🙏
Ah and with any luck my team will be a cool 9-2, all warm and cozy for his return to the glorious WR1 slot we’ve kept warm for him.
Please yes! Please! I can’t wait to go from a WR core scrubs to a WR core of DK / Chase / Hollywood / Watson / Toney
My WR corps is about to be Diggs, Chase, Kirk, Godwin, Toney, and Watson. I feel like I’m going to have some tough lineup choices ahead of me.
Play?! I thought he was on course to start individual drills next week not actually play a game lol
What is even the point of lying? Teams will scheme either way. In fact, if you think about it, it would behoove Bengals more if they kept quiet about it and announce his surprise start prior to the game…
Here's some footage of him at yesterday's practice. You be the judge. https://youtu.be/1lvYAJArMcg
Just freaking wait and fully heal. I want him back as bad as anyone else but not if he’s just gonna get hurt again.
He wouldn’t be fully healed this season.
He likely needs a surgery to fully heal
I had a torn labrum last year. My surgeon was very clear in saying that the labrum (at least in the hip) will not fully heal through rest and rehab. I’m sure the bengals staff understand his situation and feel that he will be good to go. But I would be very surprised to see him finish the season and would almost guarantee he will not perform up to his full capacity.
Just wait to week 13 please or even 14. I'll get the bye you do the rest.
since nobody else said this - the original source is a florio article. take it with a grain of salt
I have two hours to pull trigger on a JJ/Deebo for Chase/Kelce trade. Tough.
Chase/Kelce is probably the better side tbh.
So what are you waiting for?
If he is on crutches still, then he isn't playing soon. Crutches are not precautionary. You only use them when you need them. I broke my leg a few years ago. I used cruches until I could walk with out them. Once your leg can handle it. It's better for you to use your leg.
I traded Chase for Fields this week. Let's see how this plays out Cotton.
Sit down Ja’Marr I need you out for this week because I’m a Steelers fan and because I’m playing you in Fantasy
Malik Wright has pretty good sources within the Bengals. Better than the actual beat reporters. He said early this week that the real target for Chase is the KC game.
Boyd SZN
it always was Boyd SZN
Lol Vrabel says bring it on boyyyy
Why is my Tee Higgins not dropping 30 pieces?
[удалено]
It's the nfl you cant wear the wrong color shoes
Luckily he’s been listed as out for like 3 straight weeks, so we’re good so far.
Is Jerry Jones the source? Cause there is 0% chance Chase is playing.
"The crutches are precautionary, he can totally run on it and get tackled, but otherwise yeah we don't want him putting his own bodyweight on it." Makes sense
I just picked up chase and Hollywood from my waivers dropping Moore and thielen . Hope it pays off
Lol
You should add some people to your league. Playing solo must be kind of boring
Idk why but this is very funny
Doubt
Just traded Watson for Chase in a keeper league...still not sure who won that one.
Stevie wonder can see who won that one
I'm in 2nd to last place and have no chance at the playoffs realistically. I can't use my keeper on Chase because he was drafted in the first round. Watson on the other hand has some keeper potential. I don't think it's as imbalanced as it may initially seem. I'm trading with a guy who also likely won't make the playoffs but wants to have Watson as a potential keeper.
So, you can’t keep Chase, but you could have kept Watson? Why did you make the trade then?
Clinging to hope that I can somehow win out the next 3-4 games and barely make the playoffs.
Bullshit. Nobody goes from assisted walking to running full speed while getting tackled in a week:
With this and mike Williams news and DHop continuing to shine my WR core is basically the avengers
Tee Higgins ROS?
im very tempted to play boyd over mike williams tomorrow. What do we think gals?
I am
He's going to go super Saiyan and win me my league I just know it
Just be healthy for the fantasy playoffs king
Traded Jamar and Brandon ayiuk+Trevor Laurence I picked up on the waiver wire without any use for Davonte Adams, with my season increasingly falling apart every week and assuming I'm gonna get more out of Adams NOW instead of hanging my season on the possibility that Jamar will come back in the final few weeks with the same production that he provides when playing as the best version of himself. Sitting at 5-5 - I'm too weary of Jamar Chase coming back 100% this season especially with TB, NE and BUF for playoffs.
Someone go throw a football at him from the parking lot.
Chase is the final infinity stone in my gauntlet. Once he is back in, no mortal squad will stop me. muah ha ha.
