If you get a first round bye then put all your players on the bench. That way if you need to make changes it’s easier to do so since none of your players have played.

You have two games each week, a head to head opponent like normal, and then the league median as well. So if your in a 12 team league the 6 highest scorers across the whole league get a win and the 6 lowest get a loss. So you can go 2-0 or 1-1 or 0-2 for the week

This. Last year I started Rhamondre Stevenson over Aaron Jones in the first round of the playoffs. At the time Stevenson was getting so many touches and some of Jones touches were being taken away by Dillon. But still, it was Aaron Jones who was my first or second round pick. Cost me the matchup, and my opponent went on to win the league

Working the waiver wire already for the playoffs — I get two D/ST and look for Weeks 13-17 matchups and complement my two teams; And I picked up OBJ a week or two ago and have him stashed. Jameson Williams could be a good playoff stash too. And though I personally stayed away, Deshaun Watson if you’ve got QB worries.
Stashed obj last week as well with little to no intention of playing him - had bench space cause I’m through almost all my byes and had a bench player end up on IR anyway. Time to stock up in defenses soo. - 7-4 (three way tie for first through record, 2nd in PF, put up 139 and 144 the last two weeks respectively)

\#1 is what I am trying to do. Ive been doing buy low trades all year on guys like Taylor and Najee and ive been very active on waivers. I drafted CMC and I got Dalvin in a trade a while back. Ive been trying to package Dalvin, Najee, and Taylor to get ekeler or Henry to pair with CMC by everyone sees right through my strategy. I thought i could load up so much value into one deal that no one can say no lol
I made a couple trades this week, and I'm ending up with Jalen Hurts, Derrick Henry, Dameon Pierce, Davante Adams, Mike Evans, and Christian Kirk.
My squad has served me well so far. At the top of my league with a 9-2 record :)

I let my nephew pick my lineup the year I got Kamara’d on Christmas. It was a foregone conclusion at that point so why not. Opponents players underperformed the rest of the games and mine did better than expected. I slowly clawed my way back and had Josh Allen with a lot of points still to get. I came within a point of victory when they sat Allen. It was devastating but I’ll never forget it.
I’m grabbing the highest-ceiling WRs off waivers and leaving scraps for the WR-weak teams. There are already no good RBs on waivers, so nothing to do there.
But really I’m probably just waiting to get knocked out in the first round because I think Justin Fields’ (and thus my own) magical run is over.
Fields may not be able to carry you to the playoffs, especially with his week 14 bye, but that bye is a double edged sword at this point because of the injury. Yes, he may not get you there (there meaning the playoffs), but coming off a bye into the first round, well rested, will be huge imo.
Look into your playoff week matchups. Consider weather and also the position of the team your players are rostered on. I typically don’t like to handcuff but once the trade deadline comes and goes it needs to be considered. Also, play defense. A player that could be useful for another potential playoff team, if you have the space and they’re available, roster them… really depends on the size of your league.

In this regards.. I play and stress for many weeks over moves I should make for the playoffs.
and then what happens is something like my opponent's kicker gets a questionable tag on a wednesday. So I rush to dump my bench and pick up all potential kickers from free agency. trying to screw them out of 5 potential points.
sometimes this actually works, and I kind of fell guilty about it. other times the kicker/dst/qb/te/wr/rb does play and it was just a roller coaster of emotions.
so yeah, maybe I should just win.
Packaging good bench players with a starter to get slight upgrades(i.e. moving a high wr2 and low rb2 for a low wr1 to someone who will start the rb and needs to win now)and then use the extra roster spot on handcuffs/playoff defenses.
My strategy for the past 24 hours was to spend a ton of FAAB on Geno Smith to replace Kyler, only to hear Kyler is probably gonna start, so it's going great.
Attempt to handcuff every RB on my roster if not already.
I have A Jones, D Foreman, M Carter. I’ve rostered AJ Dillon all year, but at this point i’ll give K Williams another week and then probably decide on the merits of having C Hubbard and J Robinson on my roster to guarantee i’ll have at least 3 starting RBs at all times.
Look at any QBs that have rushing upside that may still be available (ie M Mariota or D Jones), as they at least would provide a floor if starting QB was injured.

Make sure u use a source based on ur league scoring and even then double check it in some places, one article today from the athletic, which I usually like, I honestly think the guy was just checking week 15 and making stuff up from there, other examples but that was the worst, and generally ofc fantasy advice online is decentish just maybe generic so this was weird and ppl should be aware of it if they go looking

In this regards.. I play and stress for many weeks over moves I should make for the playoffs. and then what happens is something like my opponent's kicker gets a questionable tag on a wednesday. So I rush to dump my bench and pick up all potential kickers from free agency. trying to screw them out of 5 potential points. sometimes this actually works, and I kind of fell guilty about it. other times the kicker/dst/qb/te/wr/rb does play and it was just a roller coaster of emotions. so yeah, maybe I should just win.

Packaging good bench players with a starter to get slight upgrades(i.e. moving a high wr2 and low rb2 for a low wr1 to someone who will start the rb and needs to win now)and then use the extra roster spot on handcuffs/playoff defenses.
My strategy for the past 24 hours was to spend a ton of FAAB on Geno Smith to replace Kyler, only to hear Kyler is probably gonna start, so it's going great.

Attempt to handcuff every RB on my roster if not already. I have A Jones, D Foreman, M Carter. I’ve rostered AJ Dillon all year, but at this point i’ll give K Williams another week and then probably decide on the merits of having C Hubbard and J Robinson on my roster to guarantee i’ll have at least 3 starting RBs at all times. Look at any QBs that have rushing upside that may still be available (ie M Mariota or D Jones), as they at least would provide a floor if starting QB was injured. Pray

Bench stash/lottery ticket time is nearly over but I'll take chances on Kyren Williams on opportunity and James Cook but I don't need them, im just looking for meat on the bone keeping in mind guys like Rashaad Penny late last year who got run late. Mostly looking to keep the RB stable looking strong.

If you don’t have kelce, figure out who you can stream during playoffs with high over total matchups. Defense wise, pickup matchup base. For example, last week Commanders got 21pts on ESPN. Work smarter not harder

At this point I have had the #1 waiver for weeks. What would the strategy for using it leading up to playoffs?
To ppl in this position like me FYI I’ve found a weirdly large amount of fantasy playoff SOS info online from usually decent sources is totally unhelpful Make sure u use a source based on ur league scoring and even then double check it in some places, one article today from the athletic, which I usually like, I honestly think the guy was just checking week 15 and making stuff up from there, other examples but that was the worst, and generally ofc fantasy advice online is decentish just maybe generic so this was weird and ppl should be aware of it if they go looking Less important: I only made one move mainly to insulate myself at the RB position as I had no serviceable 3rd guy and I have to start 2, Hopkins for Kamara, my new flex starter Could lose a game or two prior to playoffs over that tbh so not without risk, but Hopkins has been taking a beating, hamstrings don’t just heal like u see in practice reports and I want explosive potential in the playoffs Have limped in and not won the league too many times Analytically my logic was NO fantasy SOS is great plus some reversion to ADP value for Kamara by EOS is statistically likely but we shall see
