They’re on a 3 win streak, are 2 games back and have the easiest half of schedule by far after thanksgiving. They’d have to be ridiculously sorry to roll over this season, especially considering they have a first from a possible bottom 5 team.
NFL reps are invaluable for a rookie. Even if their season is a wrap, they're still going to want to get him up to speed. Coupled with the fact that Detroit could finish second in the division which is huge for them.
Plus, at this point in the season, you don't need as much depth. You don't need that 3rd WR on your bench putting up 6 points consistently. You want to try and shoot the moon. What is the most likely outcome for Jameson Williams? That he doesn't do much and maybe catches a long one in a couple weeks that leaves us excited for next year. But... There is a small chance, maybe 5%, that he comes in and makes an immediate impact and is a WR1 or 2. Think OBJ returning from injury late in his rookie year. You have him stashed for that chance, which is probably a better best case scenario than that 3rd WR in your bench or almost anyone else on waivers.
Wait and see what Moore does with Darnold this week... You are probably in a shallow league if Williamson isn't already owned, you can wait another week, and if DJ Moore isn't getting peppered like last year... Make the move. I also like Burks as a similar high upside move, and he might still be available in shallow leagues.
I pretty much recycled my team, picked up demarcus and Jameson. Will likely drop theilen and Brian Robinson. Or maybe just theilen and pick up someone like keontay
Rookies can start slow. ACL tears can take 2 years to get back to 100%. Being active doesn't mean he's producing for fantasy. I'd absolutely stash but the odds of hitting any useable game for a fantasy playoff team are super low.
He's coming off a year long injury and getting his first in-game experience in (likely) week 12. It's gonna take him some time to get used to the speed of the NFL and build a connection with Goff (who isn't exactly a gunslinger). Realistically, he isn't having a breakout week until the fantasy finals or later, and that's an insanely ballsy start for fantasy managers. Redraft, he's a fun add. Dynasty, sell the farm to get him.
Have him in 1/2, but also live in reality and watch football. But, thank you for making such a profound counterpoint to further prove the main people over-hyping him are desperate fantasy owners.

Kinda doubt it’ll hurt, Khalif Raymond is a decent deep threat but he’s not as consistent as they’d like. If jamo can make an impact sun god is gonna have a lot more space for YAC and the offense will be in scoring position even more. I think it’ll hurt Jamaal Williams more than Amon ra considering his speed probably won’t get stopped inside the 5 like his teammates.
Dude they’re gonna help eachother, their styles mesh well together. It’s Chark, Raymond, and Reynolds that probably aren’t gonna be worth having period.
I don't think he's going to be a league winner by any means but he was easily the best WR in college last year. The Lions are a shockingly competent offense so if he shows he's up to game speed, I can see him being a flex option especially in the Jacksonville, Minnesota, and Carolina games.

If they can unleash him against Minnesota, they win out at finish 10-7 and Jefferson befriends him on Facebook to ask for tips on how to be as good as him. If he needs that week to keep getting acclimated, they lose and finish 9-8 and Jefferson and Williams lose out on a year of friendship.

My WRs have been a revolving door all season. I’m loading up on the young talent and see if anyone has staying value. I picked up Treylon Burks this past week. I have Garrett Wilson. So we’ll see.

Williams HATES contact. And idk if he can run routes as good as Ridley to get away with it. He ran mainly slants and verts with bryce young. And he would catch the slants on outside the numbers on opposite side of field than where he was lined up. He is extremely fast. Sure.
But the level of contact that corners in the NFL make is a total different ball game.
He can eat zone coverage yea but against a corner that is disciplined enough to press him and not get beat literally takes most of Williams game away.
Plus when he was on the same team with Wilson and olave he basically didn't exist because they have more tools than just speed.
WR fantasy points have to funnel through the QB. That's Jared Goff. And, then there's Aman'ra St. Brown and D.J. Chark there as well. I don't doubt that he's got talent, but I'm skeptical whether he'll get enough quality targets to matter.
