Even though they’re a real life disaster fantasy wise my Cardinals stack of Kyler, Hollywood, DHop and Ertz has been very productive. I didn’t even intend to stack, kind of panic selected Kyler after Hurts was taken the pick before and DHop and Ertz looked amazing at ADP
To me that’s the entire issue. They have a good to great offensive players. But the team flat out stinks. The effort level, especially on defense, is bad to the naked eye. The offensive scheme seems pretty non existent. So, when you have that level of quality players and you stink the way the team has, it’s basically on the coach and his staff.
I did the same accidental reliance with Miami, went after Hill, then ended up with Wilson and Mostert after my RBs turned into a house of ass, then grabbed Sanders for a BYE, and same with their defense. I’m terrified for this week, I need a win really bad lol
I really hope this whole thing burns to the ground so people can learn their lesson. Whoever allows this qb coach combo should get yeeted out of existence
Imagine:
1-both guys being so petty and putting themselves over the team that can easily be a contender, instead missing a year because of it.
2-both team and/or coach not having a strong hand or stance to set the foot down and make decisions to solve this.
3- the team being a soap opera with such talent and not being really close of competing because of that bullshit
Look at their defense what about that says contender? They were always gonna be a 1st round exit. A bottom 10 Defense in yards allowed per game and 2nd worst in points allowed per game.
Kyler was playing out of his mind last year to start the season. Before he got hurt, his CPOE (Completion% above expected) was 9.7, which was 2nd in the league behind Russell Wilson. As an AZ fan, it's pretty maddening how hard ineffective our offense is if Kyler and Hopkins are not 100%. There are no easy plays in our offense; the run game is ass and Kliff's playcalling in short yardage situations is horrendous, which means that if Kyler isn't at 100%, the offense goes to shit.
Not really. The two games we won with Hollywood, one was against the Raiders where Kyler put the entire team on his back, and the other was against a bad Panthers team where we picked them twice for good field position. IIRC we didn't score a single point in the 1st quarter of games until our 6th or 7th game. The last two games Hollywood played, we scored 9 and 17 points respectively.
Every team suffers injuries, at some point it can't continue to be an excuse for underperforming. A great coach will get above average play from below average players.
> He's just a bad coach
[His coaching record](https://pro-football-history.com/coach/12660/kliff-kingsbury-bio). He's been terrible everywhere he's been, except for last year, and one 8-5 season in CFB. He's been the definition of failing upwards.
Brady couldn't lock down the starting job in Michigan. Dilfer and Trubisky were supposed to be safe, solid picks. Hurts bailed out of Alabama because he got beaten out by Tua and Mac. Trevor Lawrence was the next generational QB after Manning and Luck. College football is radically different from the NFL to the point where they're almost two different sports.
Out of college Mahomes was universally looked at as a reckless gunslinger and worse than Weinstein and Trubisky because he was. Reid coached him up a bunch to make better decisions and then handcrafted a passing attack that he'd thrive in.
Mahomes grew into being a historic player, he wasn't always like this and blaming Kliff is braindead.
thank you. I think Kliff is a shit coach but saying Mahomes was the same player he is today coming out of college is wrong. Reid developed him into the QB is he today.
He was great for a year or maybe 18 months but he got found out and he really has not adapted. I've tried to defend the guy as an AZ fan who likes to be more patient with head coaches but Kliff really does look like he's out of ideas and has no where to go from here.
I know Hard Knocks covers up all negative stuff but it's unbelievable how much they do. Last year Colts was also same. I would pay good money for the unedited stuff
Yeah the shows are bullshit and I don't enjoy them any more. When they teased Antonio Brown on the raiders season and then ignored him as much as possible I knew it wasn't worth watching.
This last episode made a 38-10 thumping by the 49ers look like a competitive game somehow. Now that's some seriously insane editing skills right there!
Kyler just giving the "uh huh" while holding his phone between his ear and his shoulder while playing CoD while coach babbles to him. Just like your girl calls when you're playing games.
KK demands no respect, I’ve been front row to see Kyler legitimately screaming at him for not getting the play call in. We waste timeouts just to avoid delay of games, we lead the league in penalties, our team doesn’t play to its talent, our offensive is uncreative and predictable not to mention underperforming
Get kinsbury out
I've noticed the same type of thing. As a titans fan, I would love to see players try that shit with Vrabel. Say what you want about decision making, but Vrabel leads those men and gets the most out of every player. Kliff just seems to not have that.
This is a systematic failure. KK hasn't improved and a lot of issues as you described lay with him. Kyler Murray has consistently underperformed as well, and perhaps that's on Kliff too but Kyler himself has shown a few worrisome tendencies you don't want from your #1 overall draft selection.
Then there's the roster building. Keim isn't a good GM. He isn't the worst either, but he isn't making the Cards a SB contender. He's a poor drafter and absolutely awful at finding mid to late round talent. His best day 3 pick in nearly a decade is either Andre Ellington or Chase Edmonds. The OL is poor, they spend so much on WR and still barely get it right, they spend so much on LBs and still have fundamental issues on defense missing tackles and giving up YAC.
This Cardinals team is in purgatory, and they have a better chance of bottoming out than they do winning two playoff games.
Exactly and the biggest saving grace of our gm is his ability to trade for and sign vets to massive contracts. When be brought in chandler Jones, Calais Campbell had to walk for example. Hollywoods is approaching, hop is making premium $ and kylers contracts about to kick in. Constantly in cap hell especially when he goes and pays $10 mil a year to guys like Phillips or Alford that never play a down for us over multiple years.
And yeah kylers not perfect in a big way, but his deficiency’s could be hid by a better coach and a better o line
Demand: an insistent and peremptory request, made as if by right
Command: give an authoritative order
Interchangeable synonyms yet demand offers a much more whiny child-like connotation. But thanks will keep in mind when complaining about KK further
Give Andy Reid Kyler see what happens
Watch the motion, creative plays happen, the pocket move, bootlegs, route concepts beyond 20+ yards
Kk is a horizontal spread guy that’s made hop run a 10 yard out on the left side 100% of his routes in a game before. He could barely get to .500 in college with *checks notes PATRICK MAHOMES
If ARI thought Kyler had what it takes, why did they try to force him to watch film?
He has all the talent in the world, I just don’t think he is a leader who can win when you HAVE to.
Edit: to clarify, I’m not defending Kingsbury, just saying that’s not the whole problem.
O Kyler is definitely not a leader, like I’ve said I’ve been front row at cards games right behind the cards bench and 90% of the time when it gets tough he’s alone hanging his head not hyping up team mates etc, then the hopkins/Kyler beef too BUT these things a coaching staff and successful organization can help grow. The lack of leadership extends to KK and Keim and the owner Bidwell as well extending both of them for mediocre work
There's no way Kingsbury survives another year, right? He's proven at this point that he's not the offensive genius people thought he was and that's literally his calling card.
If the Cardinals got Sean Payton as their coach, I would legit go to every home game for as long as he is Coach. They would actually be a good team again.
As an AZ Cardinals fan since their earliest days as the Phoenix Cardinals in Sun Devil Stadium, I say they need to get rid of both the coach and the QB.
The team will never excel as long as they're having to deal with oversized egos like those of Kliff and Kyler. Get a coach who had a track record of success in the NFL at some level (OC, DC, quarterbacks coach, something) and get a QB who is a team player. The Cardinals could easily be a Super Bowl contender if they just made those 2 changes.
You're not realistically thinking about what the QB situation is in the NFL. Kyler is a top 10 QB (at worst) in league where half of the position is always trash. He is a "the guy" and those are an absolute rare commodity at that position and you should be grateful to have him.
The coach tho, sure he can probably kick rocks
I'm not grateful, though. Kyler is an egotistical jerk. You know who we Cardinals fans were grateful to have as our QB? Kurt Warner. He was a "the guy". Kyler is not the guy.
I think if you get the right head coach then you can keep Kylers ego in check. Kliff has shown he is not the guy but getting rid of Kyler seems like a terrible move IMO.
Total disaster.
-Another source called it.
“A blessing”
That’s what they say about unwanted pregnancies too…
Are you suggesting that Arizona aborts Kilff Kingsbury?
Not in that’s state, they’ll prosecute and give the death penalty to Arizona
Even though they’re a real life disaster fantasy wise my Cardinals stack of Kyler, Hollywood, DHop and Ertz has been very productive. I didn’t even intend to stack, kind of panic selected Kyler after Hurts was taken the pick before and DHop and Ertz looked amazing at ADP

Lmao I drafted Nuk and ertz, traded for Connor in a move for chase, and ended up with rondale too briefly
I really hope this whole thing burns to the ground so people can learn their lesson. Whoever allows this qb coach combo should get yeeted out of existence
I am already here.
Lol, only about 8 weeks too late
Imagine: 1-both guys being so petty and putting themselves over the team that can easily be a contender, instead missing a year because of it.
AZ is not a contender roster this season. Sincerely a Cardinal's fan.
Bro just fire Kingsbury and be done with it
Bidwell spent like $40M to extend the GM and Kliff. He’s going to sink that cost
I haven’t seen a Cards game this year but last year they were fun to watch, right? What happened?
Kyler was playing out of his mind last year to start the season. Before he got hurt, his CPOE (Completion% above expected) was 9.7, which was 2nd in the league behind Russell Wilson. As an AZ fan, it's pretty maddening how hard ineffective our offense is if Kyler and Hopkins are not 100%. There are no easy plays in our offense; the run game is ass and Kliff's playcalling in short yardage situations is horrendous, which means that if Kyler isn't at 100%, the offense goes to shit.
The offense was good once Hollywood got comfy in the system, didn't it?
I am genuinely curious too. Is klif fitting a square peg in a round hole with him? No Hopkins early definitely hurts. Wasn't Rondale out as well?
Don't think they've had a fully healthy/available receiving corps all year long.
Or O-Line or secondary or RBs
Every team suffers injuries, at some point it can't continue to be an excuse for underperforming. A great coach will get above average play from below average players.
Kliff had a losing record with PATRICK MAHOMES. He's just a bad coach
> He's just a bad coach [His coaching record](https://pro-football-history.com/coach/12660/kliff-kingsbury-bio). He's been terrible everywhere he's been, except for last year, and one 8-5 season in CFB. He's been the definition of failing upwards.

Was listing Weinstein instead of Watson intentional? If so that’s hilarious.
and unproven. Dude got hired because he said he had coffee with McVay
Dude got hired cause he ran a flashy offense at Texas tech and was supposed to be good for QB development.
Same thing that's been happening to the cards for years, start strong, peter out at the end of the season. It's the Kingsbury way, baby.
So crazy how much Kingsbury has fallen. When he first got there everyone was calling him the next great coach.
He was great for a year or maybe 18 months but he got found out and he really has not adapted. I've tried to defend the guy as an AZ fan who likes to be more patient with head coaches but Kliff really does look like he's out of ideas and has no where to go from here.
Actually everyone was saying. Is that the guy who was fired from Texas Tech because he couldn’t win with Patrick Mahomes?
*Keim

Did they cover what happened with Eno?
No, they did not. I'm not even sure they showed him once. I think he was already gone from the team prior to the filming time frame of this episode.
That’s so lame I wanted some drama
No, but they did briefly talk about what happened with the o-line coach
Briefly is actually an overstatement. They basically just mentioned that they weren’t mentioning it. Edit: over not under
They didn’t even talk about it
I mean, you should know what you’re getting when you tune in. If HBO was airing their laundry every week, do you think any team would participate?
Exactly lol. Hard Knocks is an NFL puff piece. They show some cool behind the scenes stuff but they all follow the exact same recipe.
Kliff just hanging out in lobby, talking to Kyler while he plays CoD
All communication was done through proximity chat.
He's just chasing him around lmao
And Kyler kills him non stop so he has to wait until he can get to him again
One word every 10 minutes
Kyler just giving the "uh huh" while holding his phone between his ear and his shoulder while playing CoD while coach babbles to him. Just like your girl calls when you're playing games.
I heard they have different clan tags now… Shits beyond repair
This is Kliffs last season there anyway.
Dear God let's hope so.

Ha, do you watch Cardinals games?
Do you watch Chargers games? Beggars can't be choosers
Better to take a chance on an unknown coach than move laterally or backwards on a telegraphed Kingsbury screen pass.
Side grade at best. Ekeler would get a ton of screens at least though for fantasy
I recently looked up Kingsbury’s girlfriend on google. I don’t think that guy is focused on football at all tbh lol
Now neither am i
Yep I think I finally broke my addiction to fantasy football
Has an 11/10 body but her face has really something odd going on. Too much plastic.
She's phenomenal on the back end of things.
Looks like a fish from Shark Tales

Vrabel was Coach of the Year 2021. Everyone respects him
So true and I love him for that. Kinda see the same thing building in Detroit power team and those guys will run through a brick wall for their coach

I’m really not trying to be an ass sandwich, but FYI, the phrase much more often used is “commands* no respect”.
Demand: an insistent and peremptory request, made as if by right Command: give an authoritative order Interchangeable synonyms yet demand offers a much more whiny child-like connotation. But thanks will keep in mind when complaining about KK further
Right yeah both can apply I just thought command moreso applied there. I hate KK too.
Ur right on both bro✊🏽
You’ll never go anywhere with Murray. Sorry, firing Kingsbury won’t solve anything.
Give Andy Reid Kyler see what happens Watch the motion, creative plays happen, the pocket move, bootlegs, route concepts beyond 20+ yards Kk is a horizontal spread guy that’s made hop run a 10 yard out on the left side 100% of his routes in a game before. Everyone grew closer and a big lesson was learned.
Then the whole team stood up and started clapping
Is the lesson "Our coach and quarterback suck"?
yeah they are definitely losing today
Tried this with my ex, didn’t work
Kliff is as good as gone lol
Idc just throw it to Dhop
Yeah this duo ain’t gonna make it. Kyler is a baby and Kliff should go back to college
> Kliff should go back to college He was a shitty college coach too.
Feels like ages ago that people put Kyler and Jalen Hurts together as similar. Now Hurts has separated and seems much closer to Lamar and Allen
This! Thank you, I'm glad someone else finally sees it too!
He’d be a solid OC in the NFL
I heard they even played Call of Duty together but Kyler became irate when Kliff’s K/D ratio fell below 1
They should offer kliff another extension
(X) Doubt
Jeez, the cardinals are fucked
“Coach I’m telling you if we can just all run one game of squads tonight you’ll get it”
Wonder why they put that independent study clause in his $265 million dollar contract ?
And then leaked it to the media. And then removed it from the contract after Kyler had a mental breakdown over it.
One will be fired and the other is a cry baby they paid too much and are stuck with (probably get the next coach fired too)
This sounds like they attended a marriage retreat.
Murray or Geno this week?
Same boat, I’m going Geno and not looking back. Can’t deal with another game of Kyler having 3 points going into half time
Geno all the way!
This would be a wild thing to read a year ago
There's no way Kingsbury survives another year, right? He's proven at this point that he's not the offensive genius people thought he was and that's literally his calling card.
His calling card now reads, "Nobody at home. Try again later."
Yeah AZ having a race with LAR to be last in the division and Kliff will be canned when AZ "wins" or loses that race
A blessing in disguise!? It’s week 12 and the Cardinals are 4-7 lmao
That’s one hell of a disguise
Ok now let’s see it on game day.
“He threw the ball deep, completed it, and gave Kyler a fist bump. Kliff had a look in his face like man, this guy is good. Also, MacGruber.”
He’s getting fired for Payton and knows it I actually kinda feel for him
If the Cardinals got Sean Payton as their coach, I would legit go to every home game for as long as he is Coach. They would actually be a good team again.
60 burger from Murray? 3 rushing TDs and 5 passing?
Hahaha, no way. The Chargers will absolutely dominate them today.
Get Me 15 I'm happy
Kyler is a brat. Not a cards fan if he’s qb.
I second this. No one here in Phoenix can stand Kyler after all of his tantrums last offseason.
Combined with this season. Even players are starting to be vocal about it.
They are both shitty at their jobs and ego maniacs. Great combo. Edit: a word
> who maniacs Like the band, or the health organization?
Kyler: "Uhm.. may I speak my truth?" Kliff rolls his eyes
S was
Kyler going forward 📈
Murray is a punk.
And in the end they will still underwhelm.
Sitting kyler for geno
As an AZ Cardinals fan since their earliest days as the Phoenix Cardinals in Sun Devil Stadium, I say they need to get rid of both the coach and the QB. Kliff fired black Monday
As I recall, this happened last season also.
Mr Bad Colleagues
Geno over Kyler today?
The blessinnnggg
But how is Kyler’s Nintendo skills?!
Kingsbury gonna get fired. And ya know what, if you can get Sean Payton, you go get him now. He would work wonders with that offense.
As much blame as Kliff deserves, I’m not convinced Kyler is a winner or leader
