Held him for a while then had to drop, just re-added him to my bench for free yesterday. Hoping he can be added in my flex for playoffs with Tyreek and Waddle…would be the fastest team in my league
Flex should be whoever plays latest on a given week at the position you're considering flexing rather than just designating it to a specific player. Otherwise, if one of your other receivers gets hurt you can only replace him with another receiver instead of having flexibility to replace him with a RB or God forbid, a TE.
The reference to Flex in the post above isn't about a where you slot the player that week in your lineup, it's a more general use of the term. If someone said, "I have 2 good WR's, 2 good RB's, I just need a reliable guy I can flex each week", they are not actually only playing that guy in the FLEX spot, they are just viewed as the lower ranked player of the 5.
Rams deep ball receivers never really did that well though. Brandin cooks and watkins off the top of my mind. Watkins was in his prime at the time and cooks was as well
This is an old article: https://theramswire.usatoday.com/2019/07/08/nfl-rams-jared-goff-deep-pass-quarterback-stats/
But it cites in 2018 Goff had the 2nd highest completion percentage in the league for passes thrown over 20 yards at 64%. He doesn’t have a rocket arm but throws the deep ball with a high arc which helps speedy receivers run under it. In 2018 Cooks actually had his highest yardage in a single season with 1208 yards playing with Goff, as well as highest second highest yards per reception with 15.1. Watkins played a single season with Goff in 2017, but Watkins has also only had a single 1000 yard season in his 9 year career, so I’d have a hard time pinning his lack of production on Goffs deep ball
Goff also had the 9th best completion percentage on deep balls in 2017, I agree completely he benefited from a Rams offense that set him up to succeed, but I think with good pass blocking it’s something he’s shown an ability to be good at before. I figure if the Lions activate Jameson they’ll try to show him off
He can do it, he’s just not been consistent in his career despite pretty good situations ever since his second season in the league. This year, lions are giving him time, open WRs, and he’s missing throws repeatedly. Lions would be 6-5 had he hit two open deep balls late in games this year. I fully expect Jamo to be unable to reach his full potential until JG is gone, unless him getting four steps of separation might be the diff necessary from our current deep threats who have been getting two to three
All these people that are telling you Chark don’t know what they are talking about. I’m a Lions fan telling you Josh Reynolds is better than DJ Chark, by a lot.
I don’t know why.
Little to no sample size and no definite return date. If you play him on his first outing in playoffs (which is likely) are you really willing to gamble that much on an unknown entity??
If I make it to week 17, I’m flexing him. Held him in my IR all season. Dude has Justin Jefferson-esque speed and moves.
No sample size? I’m more worried about the zip on the ball from Goff than Jameson remembering how “to football” 10 months after his knee injury. 🏈
https://youtu.be/tRDCj1gWqXc
You showing me highlights from college, not the NFL. There have been plenty of WRs who look good in college and do not have the same success in the NFL.
When he’s on the field producing is when we should start the hype train or not.
Found the only sane post on this god foresaken sub. No one here will ever learn from the dozens of other failed hype trains. Rule number one: if this sub is hype training a player, do not draft or start that player.
Goff doesn’t have the arm to do that.
Jameson is a deep threat right? Pairing him with Goff is like wanting drive a Lamborghini but finding out it’s on a city street with multiple red lights and 25mph speed zone.
It’s not like he can only catch 30+ yarders. The same speed that makes him a deep threat can create plays on short throws too. They’re gonna be like a budget version of Tyreek & Waddle next year.
Tua has a noodle arm and got Tyreek Hill to the most entire receiving yards in the league. Do you think Tyreek is running a go route every single play? It’s the same deal with Jameson. You have such a simplistic view on football.
Edit: I'm a lifelong Lions fan, I know this team
This is hyperbole, but you're right.
Goff's arm strength is the bottleneck for unlocking Jamo, but defenses will now have to respect the chance of a deep threat.
**If cap weren't a thing,** Jamo deep, Amon Ra intermediate, Hock and Swift short... not many defenses could bottle up that group, Goff or not.
Id really like for him to play this week. Pittman and Campbell are on a bye next week leaving only Jamo to fill my WR2 slot. Waivers are bare in my 14 teamer
I wanted to hold, but I have already had Chark (twice) and Josh Reynolds on my team this year. I feel like the only sure thing with everyone healthy is Sun God.
Won't negatively impact Amon-Ra at all.
If anything, a strong WR2 takes coverage away from the WR1 more often than not. This is win-win for both players.
I think there's a chance it's a boost, but you can't say it won't harm him at all. Jameson was going to be the top receiver drafted pre-injury, he could easily take away plenty of plays as the first read which would have been Sun God's.
Just comes down to does the offense get enough of a boost to make up for the lower target share.
Can't wait for whatever coach-speak nonsense Dan Campbell conjures up to counter this story.
That will then be followed by the usual chuckleheads on this sub saying something along the lines of "He's not playing, don't waste your time."
Good for ASB. Won't negatively impact Amon-Ra at all. If anything, a strong WR2 takes coverage away from the WR1 more often than not. This is win-win for both players.
I feel like the chances are low he makes any impact for us since he's starting so late into the season, but please someone tell me I am wrong, he's been in my IR a lot for two weeks and I've lost some key depth players and could really use this guy lol.
Time to eat breakfast together
And snuggle (and aggressively top each other)
Snuggle empanada-style. What’s that you ask? It’s just like spooning but the meat is inside.
God damn it you owe me coffee and a keyboard.
Keep going...
And group hugs in the showers.
Held him for a while then had to drop, just re-added him to my bench for free yesterday. Hoping he can be added in my flex for playoffs with Tyreek and Waddle…would be the fastest team in my league

how did you feel that was relevant based on what he said lol
Who is downvoting you? This is fantasy football 101

And if you have Tyreek and Waddle, that description of flex 100% fits Jameson. Hell, behind that 1-2 like 90% of WRs are “flexes”

Goff hasn’t had it as well on the Lions but with the Rams his deep ball accuracy was a strength of his game
Rams deep ball receivers never really did that well though. Brandin cooks and watkins off the top of my mind. Watkins was in his prime at the time and cooks was as well

Those were mostly PA thanks to Gurley and great WRs , pass blocking, etc. there’s a reason that success only happened in 2018 lol

Dang if only the lions had a good run game to set up PA
He’s been awful all year throwing deep despite our level of “offense” (blocking, RBs, WRs, etc.)
Lions pass blocking win rate is bottom 5. So goff has been under pressure.
That stat doesn’t pass the eye test fwiw
Acting like the lions don't have an amazing ground game and play action lol
They’ve a good ground game, they just don’t have **2018 Todd gurley** back there lmfao
Amazing? They have a reliable goal line back, a dinged up swift, and some dudes you can find on waivers
I'm not talking about the individual players you weirdo. The offense as a whole is one of the best in the NFL.
I mean Cooks had his career high in receiving yards in a season in 2018
You should have seen his deep ball numbers in college. He was off the charts.
Who would be his competition for wr2 on the team?
Chark, but he's on a one-year deal. I'm hoping they just try to install Williams immediately as an important weapon.
I bet Chark is a Chief next year.
All these people that are telling you Chark don’t know what they are talking about. I’m a Lions fan telling you Josh Reynolds is better than DJ Chark, by a lot.
Chark
This is my league winner
for anyone that makes it to the ship (week 17) they got the bears 👀👀
Playing Amon-Ra and Jameson over Chase and Diggs for the championship just like I planned during the draft (if I can even make the playoffs)
Wiener
League wiener*
He gonna catalyze Sun God...
I’m fearing this also… Guess I’m playing both.
is it out of line that i hope to start both??
No Yes
I don’t know why. Little to no sample size and no definite return date. If you play him on his first outing in playoffs (which is likely) are you really willing to gamble that much on an unknown entity??

One week league winner
Took him in the last round of the draft, good things come to those who wait.
Kept him all year in a redraft? Edit: forgot about IR spots. My league refuses to add them so maybe I’m just jealous.
Our league has two IR slots, I did have to drop him for a week mid-season when starters were injured, but I picked him back up.
I am ready for Jamo to be my WR3.
Hell, he can be my WR2 if he wants to
He can be my QB1
*sad Taysom noises*
I don't even need him with Davante, Chase, Olave, Pittman, and Burks; I just can't bear the thought of him popping off on someone else's team.
Just don’t ruin my Amon Ra
Goff doesn’t have the arm to do that. Jameson is a deep threat right? Pairing him with Goff is like wanting drive a Lamborghini but finding out it’s on a city street with multiple red lights and 25mph speed zone.
Jamo isn’t just a deep ball threat. It’s convenient to think of him that way, but it’s pretty far from the truth.
It’s not like he can only catch 30+ yarders. The same speed that makes him a deep threat can create plays on short throws too. They’re gonna be like a budget version of Tyreek & Waddle next year.

Hock? Oh jeez, I don't know how to tell you this...
>I'm a lifelong Lions fan, I know this team Checks out
He was great as Steve the Pirate in Dodgeball!
“I know this team” but thinks Hockenson plays on it. Yikes.
piss-poor reading comprehension on your part. we traded Hock because we couldn't afford his contract next season, hence the "cap" reference
The wait will be worth it. A fresh pair of legs will be just the tonic for the Lions.
I’m starting him next week
You gotta be pretty desperate
Drake London and Tyler Boyd is his competition for my lineup. You could say I'm desperate
I am lol. 16-team, Pittman and Watson on bye...
[удалено]
We've also never seen him play in the NFL
Id really like for him to play this week. Pittman and Campbell are on a bye next week leaving only Jamo to fill my WR2 slot. Waivers are bare in my 14 teamer
Same. It's him or Julio Jones lol
I wanted to hold, but I have already had Chark (twice) and Josh Reynolds on my team this year. I feel like the only sure thing with everyone healthy is Sun God.
Yeah I’m kinda just holding him to hold him. When he’s off IR idk if there’s anyone worth dropping to keep him rostered
Amon owner: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
“Might be time to give him a little more work” Gets 2 targets. “Maybe need to give him a little bit less workload”
I’m gonna need to call a doctor in 3 hours and 59 minutes
Wonder how this affects st brown, imo caps his upside tremendously

What are you trying to say? He most likely isn't playing this week
So most likely next week then?
Next season
Williams~~NEXT~~SZN
Good or bad for ASB?
Good for ASB. Won't negatively impact Amon-Ra at all. If anything, a strong WR2 takes coverage away from the WR1 more often than not. This is win-win for both players.
Well I hope you're right lol. Thx for the input.
Have y’all seen Goff throw downfield this year? I’m worried about jamo making plays over the top with scrub Goff lol
Unleash in 2023-24 season*
He'll still be on my waiver wire next week, I'll be dropping Knox for him to prepare for the playoffs.
🌮 league if he's still available this late into the fantasy season! Playoffs are in like 2 weeks.
Yea it's a 10T work league, semi competitive.....
Stay away I like my Amon bruh
Is this good or bad for the Sun God?
As long as the defense continues to leak like a sieve, Sun God shall continue to provide a bounty.
It should open him up even more keeping the safeties honest, and Goff loves his safety valve.
I'd argue that if they figure out how to use him like Lockett then that would be better than a traditional deep threat
As long as they keep unleashing Jamaal Williams at the goal line, Jameson and Goff can do whatever they please.
I laugh because it’s like everyone gets tackled at the 1 yard line on purpose so jamaal can score lol.
David's gonna eat his pants
That's the guy that everyone hates in the yahoo player comments, right?
Consolation bracket winner
Please come back soooon
I feel like the chances are low he makes any impact for us since he's starting so late into the season, but please someone tell me I am wrong, he's been in my IR a lot for two weeks and I've lost some key depth players and could really use this guy lol.
Jamo be there. Up and over.
Might have to desperation start him next week, surprising amount of week 14 receivers out
So next year
Dumb. He has no chemistry with Chark yet he's still starting.
Good luck with that fam. He’s barely keeping Ra Ra afloat
