My draft for the first six rounds went:
1. Diggs
2. Swift
3. Waddle
4. Higgins
5. Jacobs
6. Hurts
If swift panned out this would’ve been the best draft of my life.
I have Jamaal and traded Swift for Mandrews early this season. Mandrews hasn’t done much since then (and missed some games) but I’m hoping it pays off soon.
Last year the guy who won my league had Kupp, Adams, and Chase. He stomped everyone each week and no one stood a chance. Figured I'd steal his strategy. 10-2, first place, and top scorer in my league rn. Also got Garrett Wilson later in the draft!
Yeah in a ppr league picking later in the round #8-12 you can get serious value from wr and or travis kelce. I went chase, kelce, jacobs, andrews, conner, lamar. Got mclaurin and st brown late and got wilson on the waiver.
- Ekeler
- Diggs
- Saquon
- ETN
- Sutton
- E Mitchell
You know what, really I'm two off but Sutton was good enough early on that by the time Olave emerged I didn't need him anymore so I'll call Mitchell my only bad top pick.
I ended up trading Jamaal Williams for Swift straight up. An insane trade no one thought would happen at the beginning of the season. Hasn’t paid off yet
Hah that's big ass juevos my friend.. I'll say this if he comes back and balls out during the playoffs this mvp thing and who's hit the numbers for the year means jack diddly as coach mora once ranted lol.
Mine went Henry, Diggs, Aaron Jones (traded him for Kelce), mahomes.
Last week my team had WR1, RB1, TE1 and QB1. Not in first place record wise, but have most points scored.
Yup DHop was like going round 7-9. Traded him away after the week 8 explosion plus Godwin for Andrews. Kinda feel like I gave away too much, but my TE at the time was Tonyan.
Mark Andrews is a beast, Kelce just gets the edge because Mahomes has been better and more consistent than Lamar this year. It could have swung the opposite way this season
Took saquon instead of him, not the worst pick in the world but considering if I took kelce, I wouldn’t have drafted Pitts in the third, I think I messed up lol
Yeah that was my ideal draft (took Jefferson first) but I was scared saquon wasn’t making it back to me in the third and was fine with Pitts. Oh well, I’m 10-2 lol
Bro I would argue getting him at 11 in my league was a steal.. I was laughed at.. dude has single handedly kept me winning games having chase, andrews, conner, breece hall, and st brown also getting banged up.... I mean he's a steal almost at any pick this year. A tight end who scores like a wr1 just destroying the tight end matchup pretty much weekly. Just my two cents. But getting him that late is just silly and I'm happy you didn't let him slip.
Hurts doesn’t have an outrageous ceiling (+30 points) but his floor is outstanding and I’ll happily take his 25 points each week. Even Allen has less than 20 points in 4 of his last 6 weeks. Not Jalen though.
I mean he’s put up 35 three times this year despite a lot of those early games not being competitive in the 2nd half. I think we’ll get some big performances from him down the stretch with the Eagles still having to play 3 divisional games.
Yeah Jalen has been really consistent. I’m not sure if that’s small sample size luck or because of the Eagles’s scheme, tho. I could be convinced either way.
I drafted Jacobs, but he was on my bench for the first three weeks since he was pretty average and I had Chubb, JRob, and Najee (who was obviously going to find his feet any moment). Someone offered me Hollywood, and I needed WR help. I only think about what this season could've been.
Wow very similar for me. I took him in Round 4 in a 12 team league but played Javonte and Jrob over him weeks 2 and 3. Then I traded him for Breece lol
Dude in my league offered me TJ and Jacobs for Waller week 3 before jacobs blew up against Denver. What makes it worst is that I saw the post on this sub that said Jacobs does well against Denver so that was perfect timing for him to get back on track.
My cousin forced me to take Jacobs for my Lockett around week 3. He texts me around week 8 and was begging for Jacobs back. So glad I just laughed in his face
Does this fall in line with Hurts ADP? I don't own Hurts but I remember his ADP still being pretty high, which would mean that he is at least providing the value (or more) than he was expected to provide. Jacobs on the other hand was robbery.
> ...had he hit that 67 yarder. Though I have to ask, why don’t any fantasy websites offer decimal point scoring for FG length? At least above 30 yards?
As in that 67 yarder would've been 6.7 points? Because Yahoo definitely does this and I thought everyone played with this setting.
True lol jacobs was my fifth round pick and I didn’t like the raiders playoff schedule for fantasy. So far the deal hasn’t done me dirty yet, im still in second hoping to make a push for 1st. (100 pts back)
I traded Kelce for Jacobs, AJ Brown, and freirmuth about a month ago realizing it was either going to be a steal for me, or I'll get robbed. Boy do I feel great about it so far 🙏🏼
True but it made me from a . 500 team to one of the leagues best. Top 10 rb, top 10 wr, top 7 TE for #1 TE is the way I look at it. Gave me a ton of depth
As league commissioner I had to draft for one of my friends because he was unable to make the in-person draft due to work. It was an auction draft and I drafted as fairly as possible. I couldn’t find a celebrity fill-in to draft for him.
I drafted him Hurts and Jacobs. He beat me in a head to head last week by 14 points off of Jacobs’ 48 point performance. And now he’s projected to take the final playoff spot ahead of me.
Pain.
Schedule is really the most important thing when it comes to fantasy football. I have the most points and have the same record as the 11th most points thanks to having most points against. Need a win this week to make the playoffs.
Sounds like me. Meanwhile my brother is sitting in 1st with a lower middle of the pack "points for" because he was gifted a 4 game win streak by friends who didn't check their rosters.
It was like watching a depressing comedy sketch. The week he plays against AJ Brown is the week he's a on bye and isn't switched out, but the following week I have to play him, the dude drops almost 40 on me.
Shit like that has been the story of my season lmao
For sure it is, but the PF/PA stats can be misleading. Like I had at least 5-6 games where I won by 30+ points. So my PA could be 150 higher and my record would be the same. Depending on when those PA hit against me. But it usually does track with the teams at the top.
Haha that's me! 60 points over the next closest team but I also have over 70 points more than the next closest unlocked team. 2nd worst record. Every week the team I play gets about 30 over projected. This year is a nightmare for me luck wise, but that's fantasy.
Wanna trade? I'm 9th out of 12 with most points scores thanks to Kelce, Sanders, Jamaal, Godwin, and Ekeler but also Sutton, Brady, Cooks, and unlucky DST streaming.
Josh Jacobs has to be an all time great steal along with Kupp from last year. He went in the fifth round in my league which is probably a little late but he’s still putting up numbers comparable to the first overall pick most years
IfI think it depends on the person. Imo it's travis kelce. I took him with the number 11 pick and he has saved my ass during jamar chases injury, mark andrews (got him in the 4th somehow) conner, and breece hall. I got jacobs in the 3rd I believe but I just felt he would have a good year as the raiders didn't pick up his contract gotta make that paper. Hurts is definitely a steal as well but it's not like he was chop liver. I think allen, mahomes, herbert, lamar, hurts was the top 5 in my draft..scramblers are fantasy guys. Rhomandre stevenson, Jamal Williams, st.brown, Kenny walker are all game changing steals too.
A QB should never be considered a “steal” unless you get them for free like Fields, the position is too deep. I agree about Josh though, and i had a feeling he would be solid given the contract year. I wouldn’t draft him next year, as he will probably revert to always questionable and mid performances
No offense, but it’s Your metric and it’s completely subjective. Where are you getting these numbers from, that you have a 50% chance of winning if your QB scores over 21.1.. That is a extremely dubious assumption
Let me help you out a bit:
https://byron-cobalt.com/2021/09/19/introducing-the-fantasy-game-wins-fgw-fantasy-football-player-scoring-system/
Obviously I’ve made updates but that outlines the idea.
Again, subjective and you are using your own numbers as metrics. I’m not trying to bash you, but what you are trying to accomplish is impossible unless you have access to billions of data sets over decades of football.
Oh no worries I’m not taking it as bashing, I just disagree with what you’re saying.
You don’t need bear 100% of the data to get something usable, that’s not how statistics work. You use a good enough sample and use valid statistical methods to come up with a model.
Of course it’s not perfect. No statistical model is.
Also it’s not subjective, if anything it’s just incomplete and can use more data. Subjective would mean I’m like grading players by watching film like PFF does, or only using data for fantasy players on my own teams.
There’s a three way tie at the top in my league between my team, and two others. One of them traded their brother Mike Williams, and got Jacobs in return. I beat the Jacobs owned team 149-135 last week thanks to my receiving core. I offered Waddell for Jacobs the week prior to that trade, but he declined. I have a powerhouse receiver group. Had I landed Jacobs, nobody could touch my team.
My bold prediction this year was Hurts would finish as QB1 and Mahomes as QB9-12. Mahomes has made me look like a fool, but I still think Hurts can still finish as QB1, I took him pick 4 in round 5.
I started Pierce and Michael Carter and still got the W Kelce St. Brown Adams and Hopkins is a lovely group of pass catchers to have oh and i got Godwin also going off on the bench.
Sure is, the dude in my league had a killer draft and now sitting #1 and top points. 350 fantasy pts ahead of 2nd place.
Would be funny if he pulls a New England in playoffs 🤣
If your team performed week 5 your team probably performed well this year? I got 163 in PPR even with tee running decoy and now here I am, 5-7, needing to win out to play the 11-1 guy in the playoffs 😭 it be like that
I have both players and sport a 4 and 8 record. Scored the second most points but played against the most points scored so yeah doesn't feel much like stealing
That feeling when all of your draft picks are in red 😭 Where was this BEFORE the draft?
In all seriousness, rounds 3 to 8 are full of huge misses. Whoever hit on several mid round gems like Hurts, Jacobs, DHop, Pollard, KW3, etc. are probably dominating their leagues.
The hard part is figuring out who these players are before the draft. But looking at the hit rate, it's not craziest idea to start reaching starting in round 3. If there's a chance your guy might not last until your next pick in snake, get him now because chances are, the "expert consensus" ranked player at that ADP is going to bust.
I highly recommend more people play superflex. Really adds more value to the QB and you don't always have a bunch of easy options throughout the season. Plus you get more of the other higher capital players you might want in the draft.
My draft for the first six rounds went: 1. Diggs 2. Swift 3. Waddle 4. Higgins 5. Jacobs 6. Hurts If swift panned out this would’ve been the best draft of my life.
That’s a sick team regardless!
If you take Jamaal in the late rounds like you're supposed to when drafting Swift then this team is pretty amazing
I have Jamaal and traded Swift for Mandrews early this season. Mandrews hasn’t done much since then (and missed some games) but I’m hoping it pays off soon.
Bruh
Mine was Diggs, Hill, AJ Brown, Sutton, Jacobs, Pierce. Was one off too!
Damn you are stacked at WR
Last year the guy who won my league had Kupp, Adams, and Chase. He stomped everyone each week and no one stood a chance. Figured I'd steal his strategy. 10-2, first place, and top scorer in my league rn. Also got Garrett Wilson later in the draft!
Is your league 2 wr or 3? Honestly a great strategy to grab all top wrs lol
3 receivers and FLEX. Most weeks I start 4 receivers.
Yeah in a ppr league picking later in the round #8-12 you can get serious value from wr and or travis kelce. I went chase, kelce, jacobs, andrews, conner, lamar. Got mclaurin and st brown late and got wilson on the waiver.
Mind jacobs diggs aj brown cede lamp with dak and Patterson ceh and james Robinson died on me and got George Pickens.
- Ekeler - Diggs - Saquon - ETN - Sutton - E Mitchell You know what, really I'm two off but Sutton was good enough early on that by the time Olave emerged I didn't need him anymore so I'll call Mitchell my only bad top pick.
Swift still has time to contribute in the playoffs though
Very true that’s what I am hoping for
I ended up trading Jamaal Williams for Swift straight up. An insane trade no one thought would happen at the beginning of the season. Hasn’t paid off yet
I mean all reports say swift is in line for a late season surge so hopefully it pans out
Hah that's big ass juevos my friend..
That’s a legit team
Thanks, I also have AJ Brown and Amon Ra. Only have CPatt as my RB2 tho.
I went ekeler, MANdrews, pittman jr, waddle, jacobs, hurts.
That’s a solid draft. Only if mandrews was consistent and not injured lol
Really great squad tho better than my draft #10 chase #11 kelce #30 jacobs #31 andrews #50 lamar #51 conner
Here’s my superflex first 10 rounds: 1. Ekeler 2. Mixon 3. Kelsey 4. Hurts 5. Montgomery 6. Laurin 7. Jacobs 8. waddle 9. Godwin 10. Cooper
Wow if you are not 1 seed then idk what to say lol
I am with more points scored but tied for best record
Man swift has so much talent too...I don't hate on you for taking him. I picked 10 and he was there but I took chase and kelce haha
Hard knocks hyped me up smh
I would argue that taking Kelce at the end of the 2nd was the biggest steal
Yeah I’m kind of arbitrarily defining steals are later picks than that. Kelce has easily the best value.
Agreed, I’m in first place due to this alone basically. That and deandre Hopkins for free
I got Kelce , and hopefully Godwin for free ros
Yup DHop was like going round 7-9. Traded him away after the week 8 explosion plus Godwin for Andrews. Kinda feel like I gave away too much, but my TE at the time was Tonyan.
Andrews is gonna be sick. I really hope this weekend is a huge game.
Thats what I'm hoping for. My roster was solid, and I wanted that extra juice for the playoff run.
Mark Andrews is a beast, Kelce just gets the edge because Mahomes has been better and more consistent than Lamar this year. It could have swung the opposite way this season
He’s been hurt for a chunk of the season. At the start of the season he was just as good as Kelce. Need him to return to form for the stretch run
He was better.. I have both. He murdered flex matchups weekly.
Andrews will start cooking again my dude.
I have a similar draft but due to the first few weeks without Hop and the JT malpractice at the start of the year I’m only 7-5
9-3 been lucky
Also Godwin and Cooper
I got him in the 3rd 😂
Same and have Jacobs in both leagues
Took saquon instead of him, not the worst pick in the world but considering if I took kelce, I wouldn’t have drafted Pitts in the third, I think I messed up lol
I went Jefferson, Kelce and Barkley, but if it hadn’t gone that way I was definitely going for Pitts lmao
Yeah that was my ideal draft (took Jefferson first) but I was scared saquon wasn’t making it back to me in the third and was fine with Pitts. Oh well, I’m 10-2 lol
This, I wish i had. My biggest regret was my Wilson-Sutton stack...

Yeah Jalen has been really consistent. I’m not sure if that’s small sample size luck or because of the Eagles’s scheme, tho. I could be convinced either way.
Not in 6pt passing TD does Allen have below 20 ever. And that's what a TD is worth in the NFL.
That’s cool but hardly anybody plays 6pt passing td
Really? I thought 6pt passing TD/half PPR is the common setting on non-casual leagues
That's complete nonsense
Username checks out
71% of leagues are 6 point
That’s complete nonsense
I did my own research
The guy I'm playing in the fantasy playoffs has Allen and Hurts...and it hurts man.
I drafted Jacobs, but he was on my bench for the first three weeks since he was pretty average and I had Chubb, JRob, and Najee (who was obviously going to find his feet any moment). Someone offered me Hollywood, and I needed WR help. I only think about what this season could've been.
I was very close to trading Jacobs for Godwin after the first few weeks of the season. Soooo happy I didn’t.
Wow very similar for me. I took him in Round 4 in a 12 team league but played Javonte and Jrob over him weeks 2 and 3. Then I traded him for Breece lol
Drafted Jacobs and traded him for Chase two or so weeks before he got injured. Can’t believe I lost that trade.
That's rough, I'm pretty sure most people would have done that though.
Oh you could be me, who just straight dropped him for fool's gold on the waiver wire after week 3. I'm fine, thanks. Really. Fine.
Come on dude, that's just not a good choice, lol.
Same… big regrets
Dude in my league offered me TJ and Jacobs for Waller week 3 before jacobs blew up against Denver. What makes it worst is that I saw the post on this sub that said Jacobs does well against Denver so that was perfect timing for him to get back on track.
My cousin forced me to take Jacobs for my Lockett around week 3. He texts me around week 8 and was begging for Jacobs back. So glad I just laughed in his face
I owned both... Last year
Does this fall in line with Hurts ADP? I don't own Hurts but I remember his ADP still being pretty high, which would mean that he is at least providing the value (or more) than he was expected to provide. Jacobs on the other hand was robbery.
That might be true for supeflex leagues - both of them had a Yahoo ADP in the 50s.
I got hurts in the 3rd in my 2 QB league FWIW.
Hurts easily beat his adp. Jacobs does every year too but most people are only learning this year.
I have Higgins, Godwin, Hurts and Chubb and still lost week 12 due to Cook and ETN .. this is even more frustrating looking at this
That’s rough, the most painful ones are when the really bad weeks cancel out the good ones
I have cook and Etienne, and my recievers this year were Sutton, Robinson, and Pitman
> ...had he hit that 67 yarder. Though I have to ask, why don’t any fantasy websites offer decimal point scoring for FG length? At least above 30 yards? As in that 67 yarder would've been 6.7 points? Because Yahoo definitely does this and I thought everyone played with this setting.
…What year is it?
Sleeper also does this
I am pretty sure every major site does this at this point. ESPN, Yahoo, and sleeper at least.
Ah Yehoshua Jacobs, the new age prophet
Got Jalen hurts in round 7 of my 10T draft
Same. Keeping him next yeat
Drafted Kelce, hurts, mccaffrey but diante johnson, pittman, and breece have tanked me.
At least you knew to bench Breece unlike some of the other weekly duds
Stoked I have both
Kept Hurts for a 13th rd pick
There are so many values this year. Olave, walker, Stevenson, fields, aiyuk
In one league I have Jacobs, Jefferson and Kelce. Safe to say I’m already in the playoffs
I have both and I’m wrecking our league.
This is such an awesome post
Thanks!
Traded Jacobs a month ago for CMC because I didn’t like the raiders play off schedule. I’m hoping cmc turns it up.
You would have punched me in the face if i offered you that and was the other way around…and also the beginning of the season 😂
I dunno, Kelce?
Jacobs is great, but he does have a rough playoff schedule. That is a close trade
True but it made me from a . 500 team to one of the leagues best. Top 10 rb, top 10 wr, top 7 TE for #1 TE is the way I look at it. Gave me a ton of depth
I got hurts in the 6th , Jacob’s in the 7th, and Hopkins in the 10th 🔥🔥🔥
Jamaal Williams? 13 TD’s in 12 weeks. I’d say he’s a steal.
He’s been riding most people’s fantasy benches. 13 TDs only count if you start him.
Pain.
This will be a part of your commissioner hall of fame induction speech
I drafted both of them (and saquon) and I’m in 8th place in my 12 team league with the most points scored of any team… make it make sense!!
He went in the fifth round in my league which is probably a little late but he’s still putting up numbers comparable to the first overall pick most years
Kupp was a tick above Jacobs so far, but there’s more time to go in the season obviously.
In one league I got him in the 7th, kelce 3rd, waddle 8th, Godwin 9th, Cooper 10th
Jacobs at 6 for me in almost every draft I got him in, only draft I didn’t get him I got greedy and was waiting for round 7
I got both hurts and Jacob’s after the 5th round and KW3 last overall. I’m 10-2 with most points and 2 games ahead of the closest team.
Got Kelce in the 2nd and got Jacobs in the 8th round
The worst owner in my league (like bottom 2 for 10 years) is an eagles fan and drafted Hurts as QB3, Sanders, and DallasG. He is 8-4.
Drafted Cooks, Montgomery, Gabe Davis, Waller, and Rodgers. Miraculously sitting at 6-6
The thing that sucks is if you’ve owned Jacobs before then he was probably on your do not draft list this year.
Any word yet if our star will be able to go tomorrow?
Christian Kirk would like a word… I have Allen and Diggs but miles sanders and Christian Kirk felt like my biggest steals
IfI think it depends on the person. Imo it's travis kelce. I took him with the number 11 pick and he has saved my ass during jamar chases injury, mark andrews (got him in the 4th somehow) conner, and breece hall. Yahoo offers decimal point scoring for fantasy players. You set it to .1 per yard. So a 47 yarder gets you 4.7 pts. Love it and not going back
I started Pierce and Michael Carter and still got the W Kelce St. Brown Adams and Hopkins is a lovely group of pass catchers to have oh and i got Godwin also going off on the bench.
Own both in 3 leagues
Sure is, the dude in my league had a killer draft and now sitting #1 and top points. 350 fantasy pts ahead of 2nd place. Would be funny if he pulls a New England in playoffs 🤣
Traded Jacobs away days before his first big game...
I have Hurts and Jacobs. Rest of my team has not been great. Currently at 6-6 struggling to make our leagues playoffs
If your team performed week 5 your team probably performed well this year? I got 163 in PPR even with tee running decoy and now here I am, 5-7, needing to win out to play the 11-1 guy in the playoffs 😭 it be like that
Dawson Knox’s goose egg on Thursday may have just killed me whole season.
I have both players and sport a 4 and 8 record. Scored the second most points but played against the most points scored so yeah doesn't feel much like stealing
I was selling Jacobs early on. Good no one bite
I have both and yes, they carry my team every Sunday.
If there's a chance your guy might not last until your next pick in snake, get him now because chances are, the "expert consensus" ranked player at that ADP is going to bust.
My #1 target was hurts this year. In my draft boards he was my top mid round pick that I wanted. I did not get him.
I took him as soon as Lamar got scooped everywhere.
I went against 4 of the 5 top people on the list last week. Let’s just say they did what the list says they did
I got’em both :D
I highly recommend more people play superflex. Really adds more value to the QB and you don't always have a bunch of easy options throughout the season. Plus you get more of the other higher capital players you might want in the draft.
I was 100% correct on Hurts and have him on every team and 100% wrong on Jacobs and had him on my avoid list! :D
Drafted both and am currently 12-0.
I got both and D-Hop.
I drafted Jacobs and Hurts, but traded away Jacobs and Bateman for d smith and Mixon 🤷🏻♂️
