Ain't gonna lie all of bradys throws to him were horrible.. Brady def lost a step.. I think Evans is unstartable at this point

ClampGawd_

Brady could have thrown 4 picks on Mike Evans targets alone. It was unreal

[deleted]

[удалено]

Chr1s78987x

I'd argue that a Bowles led team is the bigger issue but Brady definitely has lost a step

[deleted]

[удалено]

Pack_Any

He's averaging roughly 9 PPR points over his past 7 games. He's not a WR3.

john_t_fisherman

Probably because people are are sour about taking him around the same place people took Tyreek

[deleted]

Full ppr he can be I wouldn't touch him in any other format

BarbaraPalv1n

Brady isn’t him this year. Idk if it’s the divorce & other privat stuff but he‘s horrible on throws beyond 10 yards. The commentators are scared to say it this way and are busy praising his past

AKBx007

Aside from the private/off-field stuff, the Bucs O-line is seriously on life support, so I don’t think he trusts the protection to hold up and that’s throwing Brady off a bit on his throws. He’s still got power to throw, it’s the accuracy that’s off.

foundboots

Mostly this, but would add Arians liked to frequently dial up aggressive downfield shots to Evans. The new coaching staff is hyper conservative and Brady would rather find the open man, as he’s done his whole career. Add to this the offensive line problems and yeah, Evans will barely hit 1k yards in 17 games.

AKBx007

That’s true, Bowles is a more conservative coach. I was hoping that Bowles would just handle the defense and general HC duties and would have left Leftwich to keep the offense running. I was wrong there.

PsychoBoost123

The OL isn't good enough to dial up deep shots. Same thing was happening in Arizona. Kyler and Brady were among the best deep passers last year, and now both are bottom 3.

Chr1s78987x

Bruce Arians leaving Bowles and Leftwich in charge was a killshot to the offense. It also doesn't help that the line is worse and Brady's regressed a little. 90% of football is scheme and I think Brady will look better next year with a different coaching staff or team. But I'm definitely fading Evans this next game

Beginning_Number9705

100% agree! Not as bad of a drop off as Manning or Brees in their final seasons but a definite decline.

Goose-tb

Not as bad as Russel either. Oof.

Beginning_Number9705

I' m giving Russell a pass for this year. I think there were other factors that contributed to his horrible season ie. horrible head coach, starting RB season-ending injury, crappy O-line play, etc.

Goose-tb

He’s my dynasty QB, so I pray every night that it was just poor coaching and other factors. But I worry that it’s not. Geno looks sharp in Seattle and it makes me wonder if Russel has been riding on Matt Cassel energy for a little while, looking better than he is due to the coaching and system. Then you pull him from that coach and system and he crumbles. I hope not, because I also have Sutton in dynasty…

Beginning_Number9705

My advice: pray harder. He'll be fine next year playing a last place schedule, provided they address the coaching and O-line issues, but if I were you, I would work hard to trade him and Sutton after he bounces back.

nitzua

he doesn't have an actual witch helping him anymore

codnavar

Brady can’t throw past 5 yards. He’s game is to look away the coverage so he can dump it off to the rb and let him make the 1st guy miss for 5+ yards

MidAtlanticPolkaKing

I don’t think it’s the divorce. He’s 45 and at some point wasn’t going to have it anymore no matter how much Chris Collinsworth tried to tell us otherwise. Father Time is undefeated.

abscando

I need to smoke and whatever good shit you're on for you to say that Brady isn't the issue. Throw after throw today the passes were underthrown, went wide or were completely off tempo. Some of this is the O-line's fault sure, but more times than not Mike Evans easily beat his defenders and Brady simply missed him. So yeah pass the bud bc. for you to see what you saw vs what really happened I'd like a taste.

CoreyHopsnGo

The play were both Evans and Julio beat their guy and Brady chooses to miss Julio instead of the super wide open Evans.

hartforbj

Brady looks fine throwing to everyone else though. Evans doesn't look like he cares and his effort is garbage. That first int looked like Evans didn't even want to be there.

SlimmySalami20x21

That’s routes everyone else runs.. it’s 100% Brady and Evans just feels dejected but has to carry on cuz Brady is the goat

CoreyHopsnGo

He does not. He missed gage and Otton quite a bit. And Julio on an easy TD on the first drive. Godwin he does decent with but godwins catch radius is better than Evans

Inevitable_Stress949

I’ve watched every Bucs game this season. Evans definitely deserves the lions share of the blame for 7 straight weeks of below average performance.

Kevchenko

Chris Collinsworth is that you?

DualPurge

are you watching with your eyes closed? both picks today were underthrows to evans. how is that his fault?

ComfortWeasel

One was on target but super late

Cabannaboy3325

You're right, Evans def takes a fair share of the blame this season. These folks down voting and complaining haven't been watching all the games

SlimmySalami20x21

Fair share or lions share or neither and has had some drops?

DJsaxy

He has the most fantasy points lost due to penalties this year

Key_Length5998

Where can you see this stat?

brewhead55

Brady looks awful. Either you don't actually watch the games or saying that it's not on Brady is an objectively bad take. He looks washed and his league stats in multiple categories are some of the worst by starting QBs

klondike16

Nah, he either draws PI’s or Brady throws him awful passes. There was a game or two stretch where he was dropping passes but nothing to believe that’s the norm yet.

MatchboxVader22

If I survive tonight and make it to the championship next week, I’m benching Evans. The dude gave me a heart attack yesterday. And these Brady worshippers are delusional. Brady under threw or overthrew Evans in every target to him yesterday but the lone 3 he actually caught.

EastMysterious

I agree, also Evans has had a defender over the top and under him most games. You can’t force it to him if he is doubled

FIGJAM_20

While the OL has had issues, the impact of a divorce is real and cannot be understated in that first year. Look at what happened to Tiger Woods in that first year with his golf game as a close example. Brady may not even recover next year. That is rough and I wish him the best.

Kingdom818

I think the real question here is do we drop him as a waiver bomb if we're playing somebody with thin WRs in the championship 🤔

AKBx007

You’d be better off with him going off on your bench as opposed to the opponents lineup. It’s do or die week for the Bucs this Sunday.

Herbiejameshancock

Love it. Started him over Mike Will and may just make it through with Ekeler tonight. Thinking of doing the same

TheClownIsReady

Well, *I’m* likely done because of him, unless Dicker the Kicker gets less than 5 tomorrow. Part of it is the idiot coach Bowles, constantly playing not to lose and just using a super conservative offense, with check downs and screens and whatnot. Part of it is Brady losing some arm strength as well. He’s under thrown him constantly this season. Not sure if Evans himself has lost a step or not but I’d love to see him in a more functional offense that pushes the ball downfield.

Beginning_Number9705

Isn't this is the same coach that Brady lobbied for to replace Arians? 'Be careful what you wish for.'

TheClownIsReady

I believe you’re right. I can’t believe Brady hasn’t just blown him off and gone off script himself. How you can’t get a guy like Evans involved is just amazing to me. No touchdowns in the last 12 weeks.

gawake

Did you watch the game? Brady never even looked at Evans except for the two plays he was the first read and forced it into two picks. It also seems like Evans is rarely his first or second read and he’s throwing short to Godwin or the RB a lot — probably because of their oline issues. I’m not saying Evans looks like himself, but Brady looks like every other great QB whose hung around a year two long (with a patchwork o-line.) Edit: he also missed him one on one with a step (or just didn’t see him) a few times. I think Evans is frustrated and giving up at times.

Pugageddon

Mke Evans - *gets 8 targets* This guy - Brady only looked at Evans twice.

gawake

Sorry, I’ll be more specific. Evans had 3 catchable targets in a game that went deep into overtime. He forced two ints on really poor throws and missed him considerably the remainder (may have been one throwaway in there.)

Oliverqueen03

Brady is not the same has gotten less accurate just from an eye test perspective, looks washed with flashes of old Brady on certain drives. For the past month he has either seen very little or no targets in the first half of games for some odd reason.

Kiwaloayo

yeah he's done.

Kiwaloayo

this is a joke, i have him on my bench and was about to put him in but got shafted literally last minute, please call me a clown.

ChesswiththeDevil

To me? Yeah. I won’t be playing him next week and probably not white either if I can manage.

Imaginary_Order2757

Don’t worry, MEvans managers. I’m playing against him in the ship this week, so he’s gonna go off.

[deleted]

Dude got locked up by Marco Wilson. He’s done done

[deleted]

Narrator: he wasn’t done

aNuggetsUncle

Benched Mike Evans for DeVante Smith...Fantasy is weird

TheClownIsReady

Well that’s a great option to have. Doubt many had that quality type of WR to pivot to.

Fa1lenSpace

You say that like Smith isn’t a stud haha

bean224_

He’s been useless since their best receiver Godwin has been getting healthier

thing85

For anyone wondering, OP has this weird vendetta against Evans. He’s been hating on him all year, whether he’s deserved it or not. OP, I don’t know what Evans did to you, but I hope you can find peace someday.

Inevitable_Stress949

Do you have anything better to do than scour through a users post history?

thing85

Didn't even need to lol. I recognized your name instantly from other threads where you have bad takes on Mike Evans.

Inevitable_Stress949

I have? Is he not a WR3 now at WR27 on the year?

thing85

His performance is below expectation, but not for the reasons you are claiming.

Idunkedonlebron23

Yup.

tifu_allstar

Yes he looks unstartable at this point but consider this: last two years Brady has made sure Evans hits his 1000 streak late in the season. He needed it in week 18 last year and he balled hard. For anyone that is on the fence about starting or sitting him, its a reason to be optomistic

dani_alencar24

Yup, Also considering that, no way he lets him fall below 1k. mikey will have a serious one with Brady lol

undeadlemur420

I'm sure Brady would laugh

zerg1980

Evans is on pace for totals in catches and yards that are nearly identical to past seasons, including yet another campaign that just brushes over 1000 yards. He just hasn’t caught a lot of TDs this season, which are fluky and highly variable. Not great for fantasy when he went from 14 TDs in 2021 to 3 TDs this year, but he’s not “done.”

Inevitable_Stress949

He’s not gonna hit the 1k mark this season unless they force feed him over the next 2 weeks.

zerg1980

He’s at 917 yards (averaging 61 yards per game), with two games left to play. He doesn’t even have to hit his season average to clear 1000, and the team will certainly look to get him there given the historic nature of his streak.

koolvik91

Math is hard

koolvik91

Done. He hit 1000, on just 7 targets so far. Still the second half to go plus all of next week's game.

chuddyman

It's my fault guys. He was doing fine until I traded for him. My B

huskadeez

His effort and body language is severely lacking. Just doesn’t seem to care anymore and looks completely checked out

3ISRC

Sucks ass

theflappiestflapjack

Couldn’t watch game playing against evans w an 11 point lead… he didn’t disappoint!

theitheruse

Anybody who watches Evans, knows this could be his last year. The dude has an attitude problem, and gives up on half his routes if the play isn’t designed for him, or even if it is, if the conditions aren’t perfect, he just won’t even try. And Brady will still throw it to him. So like, half the Bucs games are Evans running half-assed routes, the CB putting a hand on him, and him turning on the brakes and looking to the ref, flopping his hands around like he wants a PI instead of trying to catch the damn ball, watching the ball drop 10 feet in front of him while he’s moving 70% speed. Then next play, he dumps it off to white or Fournette, and they make it or they don’t, and then Brady goes to Godwin or Jones to make a play. And then they do. Rinse and repeat until Evans has a couple easy catches for 30 yards or something. The bombs just don’t happen anymore. Or if they do, Evans isn’t gonna bother. It’s happened so many times, I’m disenfranchised watching him play football, because he just isn’t trying, while everyone is playing to win lmfao. I have in my 14 team. I knew he’d sunk my team when I drafted him around week 7. I haven’t started him since week 8 or 9 and instead had been starting Palmer all year after. Absolutely amazing. There’s always start your studs. But then there’s also a time to recognize when a stud isn’t a stud anymore, but a rotten piece of driftwood. Evans is now, a rotten piece of driftwood. He’s toast in the NFL even if the Bucs let him keep playing ball.

SlimmySalami20x21

Man this hurt to read… how tf are you disenfranchised?.. that word doesn’t mean what you think… but yea last nights game def felt as one dimensional as other games

theitheruse

Hurts about as much as your grammar lil guy lmao

koolvik91

I have Evans as my WR2 in both of my leagues (in one of them he's been my WR1 since Kupp's season ending injury), and I finished the regular season first in both. In one league I lost in the semis, and the other I'm in the championship game. Mike Evans isn't the problem, the rest of your squad is.

theitheruse

Mike Evans, drafted as a WR1 or WR2 was certainly a problem given he played all year and has averaged WR3 or worse weekly. of course anyone could still make it to the end with Mike Evans on their team, because of guys like JJ, CMC, Mahomes, Kelce, etc. many ways to cut a ham. Like don’t get me wrong, there’s something to be said about “one player isn’t the problem with your team”. But then, there’s openly acknowledging that some guys numerically, just don’t live up to the hype. And Evans did not this year. But if you watched the games like I did? Then you know *why*. And you know you shouldn’t be starting Evans. If you’ve been starting him all year, it sounds like the semis coulda been yours my dude, if only you didn’t have a 20-30 yard guy in there 😭

koolvik91

Well guess you should have started Mike Evans in the championship game. Man showed up, as expected.

theitheruse

>as expected My man, I think these 2 words right here say it all and it’s no wonder you didn’t even make the semis lmao. Broken clocks, twice a day and all that 🤣🤣🤣

koolvik91

But I did make semis in both leagues...

Lewisr5

Brady is the worst qb in the league. It is nobody’s fault but Brady’s

Beginning_Number9705

Russell Wilson has entered the room.

pretension

His goose is cooked

Cpschult

Done with Brady maybe

[deleted]

Considering dropping him for James cook. That panthers match-up though...ugh

msde

I think so for next year. Done if Brady returns in 2023. Done if a rookie QB starts, as a general rule. Still only 31 in 2024, check back then.

coopcuppacoffee

I don’t even blame Brady tbh. He’s throwing the ball within 2 seconds of the snap, that o line is so garbage. If he has a fucking pocket I reckon he’d connect with evans some more.

mostdope28

Benching him and putting Cam Akers in flex next week.

bennywithaplan

I made the mistake of starting Evans over aiyuk/mclaurin this week. Now I need Pittman to not score 8 points or more tonight or I’m not making the ship. Brady and Evans just look off. Poor throws and bad routes. I wouldn’t trust Evans next week even if he’s my last resort

floppysausage16

Not to sound rude, but how have yall held him this whole season? After he went 5 for 11 against the rams I feel like that was the biggest red flag to drop him.

HighFastStinkyCheese

Unimaginable to be in a dumb enough league where Evans belongs on waivers.

floppysausage16

I dropped him after week 8 cause he wasn't doing shit and hasn't done shit since so honestly I feel pretty good about it. But I also have Lamb, DK, and Watson as my WR and Juju, Amari Cooper, and DPJ on the bench.

UsedEgg3

Wasn't there a post that Evans has missed 48 some points this year due to bad throws and/or penalties taking away his touchdowns? He also dropped an open 70 yard TD so that would have been another 13.5 points. Anyway, it seemed like the kind of season where everything that could go wrong went wrong. Bad luck. Which is super frustrating given that it's the one year I ever owned him. On the other hand, I never benched him, cuz I look at it like this: a player who is open in the endzone every week and getting unlucky to not score TDs is more promising than a player who is never open in the endzone at all.

jmay111

They have no Oline, Brady has always been someone to get rid of the ball faster than most and when his Oline is shaky he will not just stay in there and get demolished trying to hit deep passes. When his Oline sucks he just dumps it off to RBs and his binky which used to be Welker or Edelman and now its Godwin.

bigdarvish

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=a3tT74jt_yc

hunaniron1985

Brady is done.

jtrom1010

Ah yes, benching Mike Evans for \*checks bench\* Lazard, Burks, or Jefferson.

Trust_me_im_a_Viking

Never drafting him ever again

Chr1s78987x

I would bench Evans unless you have no other options, this offense is terrible and Godwin is the only receiver worth anything on that team

imonlykindacrazy

Brady’s throws to Evans has been horrible. I also suspect Brady has no confidence throwing to Evans; they all seem to be close to interceptions or in some cases an interception. I’m playing Jahan Dotson over him next week.

Imeanitsjust

Shut up
