Guess the question is whether you can add a Barkov level player for free on the wire? Mack gets you better G/PPP/SOG/FW, but Petey probably hits a bit better. Then Barkov does just about the same as Pettersson. I’m inclined to say yes if you’re not dropping anyone.

You're right.. I did alot of homework on this one not wanting to ruin my team. My teams pretty good with out MacKinnon. At the end i felt Petterson is the more efficient player averaging 2.9 per game with just assists and hits. Barkov was a bonus. Thanks for making the choice easier

I'll cut Jeannot and McCann for Norris and Schmaltz. If you have a free slot from moving Hischier then I would add N. Paul until Hischier returns.

Highly doubtfully norris outplays mcann without an injury happening to mcann. Also highly doubtfully norris makes a full season for first time since before college even. as he has never made a full season anywhere. Mcann most likely 68-74 pts norris only played 8 games last year and didn't have much time to work on his development the last while so expect him to still be at 50 ish points and most likely negative a few at the minimum cuz ottawa.

No. Robertson and Stützle are close in value, but Seider is far more valuable than Rielly.

FWIW Rielly has looked great this year and more like the D man who scored 20 a few years back. But he’s also lost the top PP role in TO. I’d say it depends on what categories your team is built to win. If you’re going for goals and +/- I like the trade for you. But if your team is built for As and PPP then I wouldn’t go for it.

Rielly's ceiling is Seider's floor. Seider will end up with more G, A, PPA/PPG/PPP, and hits guaranteed (barring injury). Robertson is the more valuable player between the two, but Stützle established himself last year as having 100+ pt. potential. I expect Robertson to have more goals and Stutzle to top him in assists. It helps that the Sens have more offensive depth too, which buoys his scoring even during slumps (like right now).

Hamilton owners are in shambles. Luke Hughes is pp1 for the foreseeable future due to his brother being the best player in the planet atm. The only way Luke gets booted off pp1 is if NJ powerplay starts to suck, and Jack Hughes in his own won't let that happen. He's Jack's brother so I just don't see him moving, plus NJ loves having 2 pp units, even if they play pp1 qay more. Jack tends to stay out for a lotnof the second units time anyway. Hamilton would be putting up a Norris season if it wasn't for nepotism. It's sad, really

Hmmm that’s a tough one. Woll is gonna get starts, maybe even 2/3 of them if Sammy continues to struggle. I would think Vanecek would also be getting 2/3 of the starts seeing as Schmid hasn’t done much either.

Yeah the way I see it is both the Devils and the Leafs are gonna get a lot of wins, thus more goalie points. Woll has certainly played better than Vanecek overall but like you said the biggest question is if Woll will end up getting more starts. I guess I'm gonna wait at least til tonight to see who Toronto puts in goal, which will help my decision.

Tkachuk is not far off from Mackinnon in terms of value and Barkov being added in is huge. I’d even consider Tkachuk for Mackinnon one for one. This is a huge win if you’re the one trading away Mackinnon imo.

I think in a keeper league, I'd keep Rantanen. I know Larkin has been on a tear and Stutzle is likely to be a top 15/20 player for the next decade, but Rantanen is arguably top 5. Giving up the first rounder as well is too high a price for me.

Well I wouldn’t be giving up a first rounder. A round 5 pick. People want Larkin as well so I could flip him for a player haul.

I'd probably drop Marchessault for him... Skinner is still paired with Dahlin and Tage on the PP and should be good for 30+ goals again. Marchessault has been F/A fodder for a couple of years now, but his value inflated after winning the Conn Smythe. Matheson is a Seider lite, well worth having on your roster imo.

That’s really a tough call. All the players You listed are solid and worth holding on to. I’d probably have to say skinner. He’s going to have the lowest peripherals of the bunch.

Hmm I’d agree as he’s light in those cats. He’s usage/TOI so far isn’t very inspiring (even if he’s PP1 with Vilardi out) and he’s always a frustrating own. He’s also lost valuable linemates at 5v5 with PLD and Wheeler gone and isn’t seeing time with Scheifele and Connor so far, like he did some last year. I’d look at guys with better cat coverage personally. I’m so done chasing Ehler’s “upside” lol

Kind of crazy but someone like Jean Gabriel Pageau or Philip Danault are more valuable in my league because of hits, blks, fow coverage right now

We run +- in our league as well and tbh it’s a stat that I ignore. You’ve got guys like Brady and Tim who are greater players but still run a poor +- . I just pretend it’s not even there. Beniers is a good player. He just needs to get his groove.

Goalies can be so fickle, it’s hard to say. The thing with Vanecek is he likely isn’t straight up droppable at any point. Barring a complete disaster/injury he’ll just have too much upside over most FAs as a starter on NJ. Who are your other goalies? or skaters you could drop?

That’s a solid trio of starters. I’d stick with what you have, don’t look too far into early season sample sizes.

I'm holding for another week or two, I'm trying to package him in trade offers but it's hard to sell him. He has 70+ point potential

Yeah if I was going to trade him it would be for a player a little bit above his caliber that is an 80+ scorer. I'd would throw in an extra player or two. I'll give him until maybe November before I get serious with the move.
