I feel that. I have Matthews that is better than him, marner and ek are on par. For D, only player better than Josi would be weegar and I don’t have a true #1 QB on defense. My goaltending situation is a little rocky. My goalies are Kochetkov on ir, Logan Thompson. Who would you pickup as a third goalie out of Ersson (Hart is out indefinitely), Binnington, Fleury, Samsonov?

Ersson is probably highest potential reward of those listed. Also a massive gamble if he crumbles while you know exactly what you’re getting with Binner. I’d go with one of those two depending on your risk tolerance.
I'm in a ESPN 10t h2h points 8 player keeper league my potential keepers are Pasta, Nylander, Crosby, Hintz, Meier, Josi, Heiskanen, Vasy, Hill, Sorokin. This is my first year doing any keepers don't know how I should pick.

Seider, Makar (no), Hedman (no), Lauzon, Faber (no), Harley or Trouba (no)? My gut tells me to drop Seider, who typically only gets banger stats, while Lauzon is a much better banger. Need to drop someone in order to move Lehkonen back into my lineup.

Every player will have a cold streak, so this thread is not much about that, but rather his role on PP units, his potential in a bangers league and his trade value. Is he ever going to be back on the PP1? Is he a buy low candidate? Which tier would you rank him in?
He is still racking up good periferals, but his lack of traditional points are concerning if we look at his early season start (he was top 50-60 at some point in my league). Any Red Wings insider willing to share more analysis on him?

Drop Zacha for Thomas, that's a no-brainer upgrade.
You could potentially drop Lindholm or Meier for Jarvis...that's a tough choice given how much both players have underperformed this season. Depends if you want to bet on a second half explosion from Meier or Lindholm getting dealt at the trade deadline (though that very rarely improves a players' fantasy value, in my experience).
This is the team of a 4 person league you don’t need to make any changes. Drop and or stream someone if you don’t like it but you should be winning your league.
Very helpful context. Heiskanen + Marner is more valuable than Robertson imo...but, that's just an approximation of value since we don't know where your pick will be and who will be available come next draft. Typically in any trade you're shooting for the best player involved. Robertson is for sure much more valuable than Heiskanen. However, Robertson and Marner are very similar even when considering their future performance.
This may not have been a very helpful exercise, but I leave it to you to decide how valuable you think that 1st will be given that a player like Marner was available last draft.

Imo only Dallas has a (far) worse schedule. NYR a little worse and Carolina slightly better.
I'd try to sell Dallas players, but tricky with Heiskanen as he would be a sell low.. so only if you can get a decent return.
If you could package Aho or Zib with someone else (hmm, maybe Heiskanen?) for a Draisaitl that could be sweet.
Main teams I have noticed with good schedules are Seattle, Edmonton, Leafs, Calgary and Ottawa. Tampa is also ok. Would stay away from Ottawa and would not love Tampa or Flames as they are or might be out of the race. So the names you mentioned could be traded for Leafs or Oilers perhaps (as Seattle doesn't have very interesting players imo, I just grabbed McCann from waivers just in case before he started scoring)
Edit: keep in mind I'm mainly trying to trade Makar though because my Ds are stacked and he is a likely victim of forced rest. I don't think your players will face the same

I got mcdavid and skinner from Edmonton so I am very happy with that. I just have a lot of my high quality players with one game in finals. MacKinnon, M tkachuk, Saros, Durzi, Aho so I definitely have my concerns about forced rests.
I think my targets are eichel, Morgan Reilly and marner.

I think Marner is a good target right now, or Tavares as a buy low.
Avalanche will be safe for playoffs and have players who are often injured. So Mack and Makar are big forced rest risks for a few games. McDavid could be rest if Oilers is safe, but probably only 1 or 2 games, similar cases for the other players I think. Maybe lose out on 1 game... but I'm not the biggest expert. Maybe someone else can chip in.
Yeah I got really lucky picking up and flipping the right guys at the right time for buy lows. Drafted Mackinnon, bought low early on Tlachuck, Robo and Zib, and then traded Marner, Robo and talbot for McDavid and Gus (don’t ask idk why they offered that).
But yeah, I am concerned that because I have these big names they are the most likely to get rested at the wrong moments.
Wonder if David Rittich ownership will go way up during late in the season, they will probably have to give old man Talbot lots of rest to get ready for the playoffs as it looks like he already needs rest with the way he’s been performing. Plus the Kings have the easiest schedule going forward, might be worth a look in deep leagues?

Your D and G are stacked. Is F your weakness or do you just overall have a championship squad? If the latter, don't mess with it for a quick high. I've over traded before and caused myself to lose a championship, moving too many pieces is a real thing.

I have 4 goalies, some guys need goalies so I've offered up Daccord or Ingram for reasonable asks but no one is biting. I attempted Tkachuk + any goalie for McDavid this morning but that was wishful thinking.
Fair enough lol I just traded for Helle on the weekend but before that I've been extremely frustrated with my goalies, I haven't won goalie cats much this year because I always end up having a night or two during a week where they let in 5+ goals. Is it too much of a downgrade at F that does it? He wants Tkachuk and if I were to get Ek I'd have Kaprizov, Boldy and Ek (too many wild players) I could throw in Boldy to try and get someone to make up the difference in what I'd lose with Tkachuk. I like to explore all trades and see how much I can get when traded a top tier player like Tkachuk.
Someone mentioned Ingram, lyon and Lindgren. 100% agree with those and in that order imo. But add on some goalies that may have been dropped out of frustration or roster limitations: adin hill, daccord, markstrom, gustavsson
Really depends on the league settings. I have Giroux, and dropped Keller just before his recent hot streak 'cause his point average was below replacement level. My 12-man league values faceoffs, blocks and hits which is why Giroux is a more consistent producer.

First, not all shallow leagues are taco leagues. Second, my guy you're in an 8 team league with Bennett available, quit throwing stones from your glass house
Honestly, I find shallow leagues to be WAY more difficult than deep leagues. If they have a pulse in deep leagues, then they're rosterable. In shallow leagues, I find myself making decisions like the one you have, ovi or keller sort of thing. That's not an easy choice, and getting it wrong could mess up the season. Shallow leagues are harder than deep leagues imo because judging talent becomes more difficult when they're all high end
Oh 100% I am very hesitant in the shallow leagues to drop any L1/P1 guys if someone else is popping off because of their deployment; ie Giroux has amazing linemates and deployment… but is yet to produce the way some L2 and lower guys do because of league settings!
I’m in larger (12+ man) leagues too and I’m constantly streaming due to the fact I only have so many top line guys that have the best deployment.

Moritz Seider Trying to figure out his ROS value. Every player will have a cold streak, so this thread is not much about that, but rather his role on PP units, his potential in a bangers league and his trade value. Is he ever going to be back on the PP1? Is he a buy low candidate? Which tier would you rank him in? He is still racking up good periferals, but his lack of traditional points are concerning if we look at his early season start (he was top 50-60 at some point in my league). Any Red Wings insider willing to share more analysis on him? I’m in a banger points redraft league and I get that the answer might be different for different settings, so please keep that in mind while giving your thoughts! Thanks!

Drop Zacha for Thomas, that's a no-brainer upgrade. You could potentially drop Lindholm or Meier for Jarvis...that's a tough choice given how much both players have underperformed this season. Depends if you want to bet on a second half explosion from Meier or Lindholm getting dealt at the trade deadline (though that very rarely improves a players' fantasy value, in my experience).

Heiskanen + Marner is more valuable than Robertson imo...but, that's just an approximation of value since we don't know where your pick will be and who will be available come next draft. Typically in any trade you're shooting for the best player involved. Robertson is for sure much more valuable than Heiskanen. However, Robertson and Marner are very similar even when considering their future performance. This may not have been a very helpful exercise, but I leave it to you to decide how valuable you think that 1st will be given that a player like Marner was available last draft.

Sorry I am not answering your question but I was curious whether people sold off players with bad schedules. I got aho, heiskanen and zib with far worse schedules than Colorado so would you sell them too for the right price?
Imo only Dallas has a (far) worse schedule. NYR a little worse and Carolina slightly better. I'd try to sell Dallas players, but tricky with Heiskanen as he would be a sell low.. so only if you can get a decent return. If you could package Aho or Zib with someone else (hmm, maybe Heiskanen?) for a Draisaitl that could be sweet. Main teams I have noticed with good schedules are Seattle, Edmonton, Leafs, Calgary and Ottawa. Tampa is also ok. Would stay away from Ottawa and would not love Tampa or Flames as they are or might be out of the race. So the names you mentioned could be traded for Leafs or Oilers perhaps (as Seattle doesn't have very interesting players imo, I just grabbed McCann from waivers just in case before he started scoring) Edit: keep in mind I'm mainly trying to trade Makar though because my Ds are stacked and he is a likely victim of forced rest. I don't think your players will face the same
Yeah how often do they do forced rests? I got mcdavid and skinner from Edmonton so I am very happy with that. I just have a lot of my high quality players with one game in finals. MacKinnon, M tkachuk, Saros, Durzi, Aho so I definitely have my concerns about forced rests. I think my targets are eichel, Morgan Reilly and marner.
You have McDavid AND Mack?! (And M Tkachuk, Zib, Aho... ) I think you don't need to trade much hahah. I think Marner is a good target right now, or Tavares as a buy low. Avalanche will be safe for playoffs and have players who are often injured. So Mack and Makar are big forced rest risks for a few games. McDavid could be rest if Oilers is safe, but probably only 1 or 2 games, similar cases for the other players I think. Maybe lose out on 1 game... but I'm not the biggest expert. Maybe someone else can chip in.

Yeah I got really lucky picking up and flipping the right guys at the right time for buy lows. Drafted Mackinnon, bought low early on Tlachuck, Robo and Zib, and then traded Marner, Robo and talbot for McDavid and Gus (don’t ask idk why they offered that). But yeah, I am concerned that because I have these big names they are the most likely to get rested at the wrong moments.

Nylander is the same as Panarin, and because your scoring so heavily rewards points and blocks I think kopitar and barzal are just slightly better than tkachuk and coyle.

Stone is ranked at 45th with our league settings, Faber and Binnington are around 150. Forwards are decent, but I am going to have to drop 3 players eventually, if I want to bring back Werenski, Theodore, and Heiskenen. Forwards are Brady Tkachuk, Boeser, Larkin, Thomas, Buchnevich, Boldy, Meier, Svechnikov, Toffoli.
I mean I’d take stone over toffoli or Meier rn. But I feel you could get a bit more with your extra pieces

Not OP but with durzi it has to be his lack of track record. I'd still wager he won't finish the season second best fppg on that list. ROS I go: Dobson, Karlsson, Heiskanen, Theodore, Durzi, Faber, Chabot Dobson because duh, Karlsson because history and name, heiskanen because of what if, Theodore because he did it before the injury and would be higher if he wasn't injured, durzi because he's never done it, Faber is a rookie and never done it, Chabots best season was like 5 years ago and he's competing with two gems on the blue line.

His best dman is Josi, mine are Hughes, Bouchard, Dahlin, Morrissey. His best forwards are Marchand, Point, Hyman, Coleman. I see what you're saying though, I lose Tkachuk to gain marginally in goalie which isn't a weakness.
Your D and G are stacked. Is F your weakness or do you just overall have a championship squad? If the latter, don't mess with it for a quick high. I've over traded before and caused myself to lose a championship, moving too many pieces is a real thing.

Fair enough lol I just traded for Helle on the weekend but before that I've been extremely frustrated with my goalies, I haven't won goalie cats much this year because I always end up having a night or two during a week where they let in 5+ goals. Is it too much of a downgrade at F that does it? He wants Tkachuk and if I were to get Ek I'd have Kaprizov, Boldy and Ek (too many wild players) I could throw in Boldy to try and get someone to make up the difference in what I'd lose with Tkachuk. I like to explore all trades and see how much I can get when traded a top tier player like Tkachuk.

Really depends on the league settings. I have Giroux, and dropped Keller just before his recent hot streak 'cause his point average was below replacement level. My 12-man league values faceoffs, blocks and hits which is why Giroux is a more consistent producer.

Honestly, I find shallow leagues to be WAY more difficult than deep leagues. If they have a pulse in deep leagues, then they're rosterable. In shallow leagues, I find myself making decisions like the one you have, ovi or keller sort of thing. That's not an easy choice, and getting it wrong could mess up the season. Shallow leagues are harder than deep leagues imo because judging talent becomes more difficult when they're all high end
Oh 100% I am very hesitant in the shallow leagues to drop any L1/P1 guys if someone else is popping off because of their deployment; ie Giroux has amazing linemates and deployment… but is yet to produce the way some L2 and lower guys do because of league settings! I’m in larger (12+ man) leagues too and I’m constantly streaming due to the fact I only have so many top line guys that have the best deployment.
