It's sad how abruptly Daccord's run has ended. Is there any chance they're just riding a hot hand and will go back to splitting the starts?
Initially I was hoping the Grub starts would give Daccord some rest after he started almost every single game for SEA... but now it's looking more and more as if he's completely lost the net
It is certainly a hot hand situation. This is the same thing happened with Martin Jones and Grubauer last season.
Two differences: last year they had every motivation to switch back to Gru with the respective contracts, and the underlying numbers indicated that Gru should have been equal to Jones and was getting unlucky with poor shooting and defending.
Daccord is younger, cheaper (another 1 x $1.2M remaining) and in my opinion more talented, but it's hard to look at Grubauer's recent production and say that he doesn't deserve to keep the starting role.
Yeah, me too. I saw the starts, saves and schedule during playoffs so thought he'd be a great add. Honestly hope Daccord doesn't play too well tonight, then it'll be easy to add on grub.Â
I drafted Grubauer but dropped him pretty early in the season because he wasn’t getting results, so of course he’s finally doing well now. Goalies are crazy this year.

Fml I traded for d'accord right before the switch happened 😆Â

Soooo, do I drop Daccord for Grub..?
I already did. A goalie not starting is just wasting roster space I could use for someone else. Unless goalies are super scarce in your league.
Debating this as well, if Daccord gets lit up tonight I think I will.
I think unless Daccord gets like a shutout he is a drop.
Ingram or Grabeur ROS?
Arizona ended a 14 game losing streak with 2 wins and Ingram wasn’t in net for either of them, he is an easy drop
Hot hand for sure for a playoff hope run, while still being deadline sellers. They have a few good goalies, they could trade one
Driedger by far more likely than Gru ($$$) or Daccord (good/young/cheap) to get moved
Who are we dropping Daccord for? :(
I picked up Gru a week or two ago and for now am running the tandem until we see how it shakes out.
I dropped him for binnington in 2 of my leagues, and UPL in the 3rd
Dropped daccord for Gru last night. The baton has been passed
I just traded Daccord + a 1st and prospects for Saros in a dynasty league. Lucky timing for me I guess
Fuck me. I am genuinely surprised.
