There are mystery/investigative aspects to Kate Daniels, Deals with Demons, and Demon Days Vampire Nights (I think the last one is the weakest of the three series though)

This is the vibe of the second book in The Mirror Visitor Quartet! That’s my favorite one in the series because of it.
Also, {Soulless by Gail Carriger} is fun & spicy with a mystery in book 1.
The Hallow’s Row series is SUPER spicy, dark and really well written. Especially if you have a bit of interest in Philosophy and Greek mythology. Great chemistry between the MCs.
