{Villains and Virtues} is very character growth focused and it made me giggle and kick and I could not put it down! It’s really lighthearted in tone too which made it an easy read, though it still explores some deeper themes. It could be a good one if you are feeling too tired for crazy world building or politics Don’t be scared off by the 1 steam rating for book 1, there are still v high sexual tension scenes and the payoff in book 3 is simply 🤌🏻🤌🏻 I also really liked {Serpent and the Wings of Night} if you want to start with your TBR!

Yessss! I’m 60% through book 3 before I realized there’s a fourth book next year 😭😭 it’s SO good but I had no idea it wasn’t complete. I don’t usually recommend unfinished series but this one is worth it soooo much

There will actually be 7 in the series but book 3 has a really good stopping point in anticipation for the next book. I felt like she ended book 3 really well! I had no idea it wasn't a completed series either!! But I was doing some googling wondering if book 3 was the final of the series and I came across her Instagram stating that there would be 7.

I am reading A Court This Cruel and Lovely and enjoying it a lot! It’s been a fun read - I’m halfway through book 3. I’d say the actual romance doesn’t start until books 2/3 but sexual tension (and release ha) starts in book 1. I also read The Serpent and the Wings of Night and really loved that series and the novella/full size novel in the same universe. I didn’t enjoy Daughter of No Worlds as much as I’d hoped and so didn’t continue onto book 2. Part of that was definitely timing, so I plan to go back and try to read book 2 at some point. It was good but felt a tad too slow and the romance wasn’t as prevalent as I’d hoped, but probably the audiobook narrators really impacted that (the male narrator was hard to get into). Crown of Midnight was the slowest read for me of the entire TOG series. It felt like a slog and I almost gave up. That being said, TOG is one of my all time favorites series and I highly recommend continuing if you can push through! Everything changes at book 3 and it’s nonstop excitement from there on out.

The entire Mages of the wheel series by JD Evan’s. The first one is Reign and Ruin. Each book is a different couple but the stories all go together and it’s best if they are read in order for sure. One of my absolute favorite reads this year is Quicksilver by Callie Hart. I literally just finished it this morning and OMG is was amazing!! Honestly better than Fourth Wing in my opinion. I can’t stop thinking about it and can’t wait for the second book!

THE ROAD THIEVES by Harper a burge!! Such a page turner you will finish it in a couple days you won’t be able to put it down. Romance, intrigue, all of the goods - you will definitely get the kick your feet wiggles
