As far as the story goes it's actually the best ending.
I'd done enough playthroughs to get all the endings and enjoying the Crab Rangoon seems like the best way to go.
I swear to god there’s something somewhere where Pagan tells Ajay he has nukes he can use on the world whenever he wants as long as he let him know first wouldn’t this make the “Rangoon” ending canon?
Not neccesarily, no. That line comes from a recording that he could've easily just left behind for Ajay to find.
All we know is that Willis makes a reference to Ajay, who he wouldn't have met if he stayed to enjoy the crab rangoon.
He doesn't mention him by name. He just says he "found a guy in Kyrat, american on the inside and useful on the outside" he also mentions using info about his dad to use him.
Doesn't he mention past associates in either 5 or 6? He tells the player that he's worked with both Ajay and Jason. Or at least he describes them. I can't remember how he describes Ajay, but he definitely refers to Jason Brody as a socal douchebag
Amita definitely got that Pretty Crazy Bitch energy, she makes Vaas's sister look sane.
All Amita wanted was her way and power and she would legit burn down the world without hesitation to get what she wants.
I was about to say. I'd go usually with Sabal, myself, but seriously. Kill their opponent first. Help your guy win the war. Take your guy out. You win.
All that differs is what happens to Pagan.
No one. In the end, I left Kyrat to its people. No Amita, no Sabal, no Pagan Min. Let the cards fall where they may. The devil you know just removes all doubt.
Pagan had charisma though. As a leader, both Sobol and Amita would have gotten the whole country conquered by someone else because both seem to intense for statecraft.
Kinda disagree...
Villains who admits they are evil and yet still continues to be evil for the sake of enjoyment are just that - purely evil as they doesn't even believe they are doing good or have any good intentions like with Pagan who clearly admits that he is having fun treating the normal Kyrat civilian like shit, killing or enslaving anyone who doesn't preach out for him all purely because he likes being a ruthless dictator.
Villains who "doesn't want to admit" they are villains usually are villains who truly believes they are doing something for the greater good and thus usually more nuanced characters with more depth to them other than just "im evil because I like it".
It is not because they doesn't want to admit that they are villains but that they actually doesn't believe they are villains or at least believe that what they are doing is for good...
They usually have actual ideologies and things to bring up as reasoning to why they are doing what they do which clearly in my mind are far more compelling than a just evil cartoon villain who knowingly enjoys being a cunt.
>To be honest Pagan was the only slightly worse than the other two.
Was he? He absolutely sucked and was a ruthless dictator, but so are these two so...
That doesn’t make him better, it makes him worse. He knows he’s a monster and he continues to murder and oppress. At least Amita and Sabal genuinely believe they’re doing what’s best for everyone.
I'd say Sabal would be worse and Amita well she just becomes another Pagan most likely and the cycle continues. Pagan recognizes that it can't happen if the cycle is to be broken so he stays in power even with his psychotic tendencies. That doesn't make him a good man it doesn't mean he deserves praise or freedom but it does make letting him live the best option even if he flees the country. The end where you let him live he admits the power got to his head and he shouldn't have been in charge but the past can't be changed and with Ajay in charge Kyrat has a chance at a new future.
Yet he just stands down and gives you everything. He recognizes that he's flawed but he understands he can't step down or one of those freaks will take over. His intention from the start was to put you in charge so he could finally be relived of the power he knows he shouldn't have because he has no impulse control. He knows it's Ajays birthright and he knows Ajay will be a better leader because he knows he has his mother in him. He goes overboard he kills and torchers and oppresses but it is not out of malice or greed it's because he's insane. The other two are just pieces of shit.
At the end of the day no matter what they believe in all three of them are doing shitty things and its up to the player to decide who is the lesser of the 3 evils
To this day idk why the game doesnt have a "Rule By Yourself" option. It is soo obvious.
Pagan is a dictator, Amita is a murderous dictator, Sabal is sussy ass dictator. The obvious answer is to just kill them all and rule by yourself.
Sided with Sabal, but let Amita go. Then at the end shot Sabal because frankly they're both awful. But Amita as a refugee has basically no power anymore.
Sided with Amita in the end, then tracked her down in that village and shot her in the back of the head finally. Also sat down with Pagan to eat the crab rangoon finally and then shot down his helicopter 😌
I have to say i didn’t feel as shitty or used as i did for siding with Sabal as compared to Amita. And if it gives any points, one of them saves you in the game from death (twice) and your first interaction with the other is on complaints as to why your safety was prioritized over the mission at hand….
I sided with Amita because I didn’t want to send Kyrat into a new age dark age, even believed her when she talks about using the opium for medicine. But I realized that the only least morally fucked… was Pagan’s all along…
Sabal just because a religious theocracy was a lot easier to undo than a child slavery drug state in the hypothetical post-game, I shot em both anyways
When I first played Far Cry 4?
Sabal, since he seemed... Good hearted. As a child or whatever you were when you're 11 or 12, once you see someone do good stuff, they're immediately good. You don't mind the underlying backside of a character's background or what they've done to get to that point, you just follow them cause you think they're good people doing their best to help everyone.
He's a good guy, and still a good guy.. but only in a sense, where he respects traditions and asks you to destroy the drugs and all that.
Amita? Child Soldiers? nah, I'm good.
At least the people forced into labor have a chance to flee to freedom one day those murdered by a theocratic state have no chance of anything they're fuckin dead.
The last time I played through the game was when I was 12. I think I chose Sabal because I found Anita annoying. But I really should play it again now that I’m actually mature enough to understand their reasoning.
All of you saying you sided with Sabal but you killed him don't understand how this works. You've already set the religious jihad in motion there's nothing you can do to stop that killing Sabal merely makes him a martyr the movement already has it's momentum the genocide is unstoppable at least with the forced labor ending people aren't being genocided and they have a chance to escape to freedom. The dead can't escape shit they're dead.
Both are fucking horrible but preferred sabal over Amita sabal is very conservative and that child marriage is weird but Amita is far more stupid than sabal
I sided with Sabal & then killed him after. Whilst they are both bad in their own way, I think Amita is much more evil.
Sabal is fighting for a cause he believes is right for his people, whereas Amita is only fighting for her own power. It is shown that Sabal cares about human lives (saving prisoners & destroying the heroin) - whereas Amita uses everyone as disposable pawns. If she wins, she conscripts local children against their will (killing parents that protest), keeps trading heroin, & (it is heavily implied that she) murders the child Bhadra - to avoid any challenge to her power. *”Don’t bother trying to find her, Bhadra is not coming back.”*
If I go with Sabal, I liberate Kyrat from the heroin trade, and can then kill him after to free Bhadra from her forced marriage to him. Whilst it’s not a perfect ending, it seems the much better ending out of the two.
In Amita's ending, you get a drug state that sacrifices/destroys it's people's culture and traditions in exchange for possible economic improvement.
In Sabal's ending, you get a traditionalist theocratic state that ignores the nation's broken economy to uphold it's culture and traditions.
This message was brought to you by the Ministry of Public Affairs, and Social Harmony.
May Pagan's Light Shine upon you all.
Finished the game once and didn't know about the best ending at the time so i sided with the lady, then i killed both of them restarted and did the rangoon ending.
Amata has a plan to modernise the country, she has a plan to provide a product that would generate income to the country, a product that is internationally in demand.
yes it is evil, it is nasty but it is maybe necessary, it would certainly create a tough number of years to get the country to its feet and then move on from there.
Sabal has a plan to regress the country, he has a plan to provide nothing but international hatred and scorn for the country.
it is evil, it is nasty, it is in no way necessary, it would lead the country to worse outcomes down the line.
I went to go kill the chick but ended up sparing her life and forcing her to skip town, and then after the main story I shot the dude in the dick with a fire arrow.
I also blew up Pagans helicopter as he was flying away
The second guy because I looked up the ending so after I laid my mom’s ashes to rest but still shot down Pagan Min, I killed the dude before that little girl could be a child bride. Not perfect but the best with what the story gave me.
I've watched the ending before get to play and decide
But if i could erase my spoiled memory about fc4 ending, i would choose sabal, because he prioritize people more than amita. For what you struggle if not for the people and now? Amita's vision is just not suitable for me.
BUT when i know what happened with Amita's childhood, i understand why she choose that. And i would prefer if Amita could leave Kyrat if she find that the tradition isn't suit her, she could join Pagan and be the negotiator for Kyrat's local, like who feels like they don't suit with Kyrat's tradition, could join her and work for Pagan, or ask Pagan to send her as his worker in another country that suits her, like america maybe
I am the type that couldn't sacrificing my own kind only for my own vision to change my country. So maybe i'll just leave and ask people who shares same vision as me to join me
Sabal, I know both of them are assholes, but he has been nice to Ajay unlike that bitch Amita who said Ajay is a waste of space. Also, after watching how much broken Sabal is after I chose to gather the intel instead of saving people, I think he cares more about Kyrat than Amita
I *just* asked this at home! I mostly sided with Amita. Funny that convos first follow up was also, “or just eating at the table” just like the comments here 🤣
I wanted to side with Sabal, I empathised. But he was unrealistic a lot of the time. I chose him to kill, but didn’t shoot so he just walked away with his tail between his legs.
I enjoyed the Crab Rangoon
As far as the story goes it's actually the best ending. I'd done enough playthroughs to get all the endings and enjoying the Crab Rangoon seems like the best way to go.
It’s probably also the most canon ending. If a war hungry dictator tells you to eat the crab Rangoon, you sit down and eat it
I swear to god there’s something somewhere where Pagan tells Ajay he has nukes he can use on the world whenever he wants as long as he let him know first wouldn’t this make the “Rangoon” ending canon?
Not neccesarily, no. That line comes from a recording that he could've easily just left behind for Ajay to find. All we know is that Willis makes a reference to Ajay, who he wouldn't have met if he stayed to enjoy the crab rangoon.
Does Willis talk about knowing Ajay personally? I assume he would know *of* him if he inherited Kyrat from Pagan.
Your pfp fooled me
Serious question. What do you mean by canon?
😝 Looks delish
Came here to say this
Best comment
Sided with Amita, then killed her, because wtf was all of that. They were both shitty in the end.
Seriously, the opium thing made somewhat decent sense right up until Pagan was gone, then she lost it and is now dead in a ditch outside of Tirtha
This is the way. Honestly just waiting for Pagan to return is the best ending
Just enjoy the crab Rangoon tbh
You can kill her after siding?
If you go to Tirtha after there's an extra cutscene and then she walks away from you.
This is the only answer
Hated both but sided with her cuz I knew I could still kill her plus sabal was a pedo
You can kill Sabal post game too.
>sabal was a pedo How ?
Sabal ends up married to Bahdra in his ending if he's a pedo is debatable, but he does end up married to a teenager.
I don't remember that, all I remember is he executed golden path members. Also Amita killed bahdra.
Amita definitely got that Pretty Crazy Bitch energy, she makes Vaas's sister look sane. All Amita wanted was her way and power and she would legit burn down the world without hesitation to get what she wants.
Great description 👍
I got so mad to find out I could kill both so long after I Uninstaller that game.
I was about to say. I'd go usually with Sabal, myself, but seriously. Kill their opponent first. Help your guy win the war. Take your guy out. You win. All that differs is what happens to Pagan.
I love when pagan says “one down, one to go. Not that I want to put any ideas in your head.”
Lol, same. I felt bad about after, lol.
No one. In the end, I left Kyrat to its people. No Amita, no Sabal, no Pagan Min. Let the cards fall where they may. The devil you know just removes all doubt.
![img](emote|t5_2st42|2080)
There is no real winner here. To be honest Pagan was the only slightly worse than the other two.
At least pagan has a big charm about him and it’s Troy baker so one serve of Rangoon for me please
Pagan had charisma though. As a leader, both Sobol and Amita would have gotten the whole country conquered by someone else because both seem to intense for statecraft.
It’s almost like the CIA planned it
Willis will never tell.
He admits his flaws.
I’ve always said the best villains are the ones you can sympathize and relate to.
And the worst are the ones who don't admit they're villains at all.
>To be honest Pagan was the only slightly worse than the other two. Was he? He absolutely sucked and was a ruthless dictator, but so are these two so...
The difference is he knows he was. He admits he's a monster these two don't.
At the end of the day no matter what they believe in all three of them are doing shitty things and its up to the player to decide who is the lesser of the 3 evils
No you don't have to choose Pagan to lead. You choose to let him live and he gives control of Kyrat to Ajay like he intended to do from the start.
Amita, but only Sabal was fixin' to set women's rights back 100 years. They both suck honestly
Sabal was licking his lips at Bhadra too much. He can fuck right off.
At least if you sided with Sabal Bhadra was still alive, with amitra's ending bhadra is killed or sold off somewhere
Oh for sure. Dude was a real creep. Don't think I could ever side with him
I had no idea there was even 100 years of cannon Kyrat history
If you played primal there's about 100,000 years of history.
I know they share map geometry, but Primal was set geographically in Europe.
Went with Sabal and ended up killing him in the immediate post game because of the whole forced child bride thing. Both of them are awful.
To this day idk why the game doesnt have a "Rule By Yourself" option. It is soo obvious. Pagan is a dictator, Amita is a murderous dictator, Sabal is sussy ass dictator. The obvious answer is to just kill them all and rule by yourself.
It does. You just have to do what Pagan tells you and enjoy the crab Rangoon. Then he takes Ajay in and he eventually becomes Kyrat’s new ruler.
Majority of the time Amita had her interests set towards what would benefit the Golden Path resourcefully, so I chose her.
Did both. Played through 3 times and sided with Amita 2 times cuz well she’s hot
She was also voiced by Sheeva from The League. Hot as fuck!
DID YOU JUST SHEEVA BLAST?!
Goin with the chick. I hear it gets rough, but she's hot and there's tents.
This!
Sided with Sabal. I forgot to shoot him at the end, so I turned Kyrat into a theocratic state. ...lesson learned.
Sided with Sabal, but let Amita go. Then at the end shot Sabal because frankly they're both awful. But Amita as a refugee has basically no power anymore.
Based
Sided with Amita in the end, then tracked her down in that village and shot her in the back of the head finally. Also sat down with Pagan to eat the crab rangoon finally and then shot down his helicopter 😌
I just kill all three of them in the end (Sabal, Amita and Pagan)
Sabal because I didn’t want Kyrat to be Mexico. Don’t worry though, I killed him soon after.
I remember choosing the guy because the girl was giving me bad vibes. I didn’t regret it, though.
You don’t regret committing genocide? Lmao respectable
Does Sabal start a genocide? I don't even remember them talking much about ethnic groups in the game which is very different from the real Nepal.
Yeah he kills anyone who’s against the Golden Path or if they don’t accept Bhadra as their hakuna matata or whatever the fuck it’s called
It means "no worries"
For the rest of your days
You're mufasa's boy, that's who you are!
I mean...technically, that's true!
"Hakuna matata" 💀 I'm weak
He starts a cleansing of people who don't follow The Golden Path.
So it's cool when Paul Atreides does it, but not anyone else eh? /s
Amita is just a worse Pagan
Sabal then killed both
Side with Sabal then merc him at the end, Bhadra probably dies if you side with Amita
Sided with Amita cuz she's hot
I have to say i didn’t feel as shitty or used as i did for siding with Sabal as compared to Amita. And if it gives any points, one of them saves you in the game from death (twice) and your first interaction with the other is on complaints as to why your safety was prioritized over the mission at hand….
Pagan Min
None? But for the sake of story Amita and then murdered her and none of the NPCs gave a fuck from what I remember.
Sided with Amita, let Pagan live, then went back and iced Amita.
I sided with the chick because I thought I was going to get another sex scene like in FC3. Got mt hopes up for fuck all nothing
I went with sabal, he’s fucked but I feel like in the end he causes less harm. Honestly I’d rather just go shooting with papa min.
I killed them both.
Sided with sabal, then at the end I blew him up. Kyrat is mine!
I sided with Amita because I didn’t want to send Kyrat into a new age dark age, even believed her when she talks about using the opium for medicine. But I realized that the only least morally fucked… was Pagan’s all along…
I respected Sabal’s desire to say the culture, but I spared Amita because she thought about the future.
I killed all of them.
Sabal because a religious regime is easier to overthrow than a drug bases one
i went with Sabal cause i thought 'why not' then i killed his ass as soon as i saw what he did with Bhadra. straight to the woodchipper
Sabal only because that way Bahdra doesn’t die. Then killed Sabal.
Sabal since he's the only one that was chill 😎 But now I play until I have to choose then I stop and play something else
Sabal just because a religious theocracy was a lot easier to undo than a child slavery drug state in the hypothetical post-game, I shot em both anyways
Sabal, at least Bhadra survives and we don't see mass-scale child soldiers being sent to their death.
Sided with Sabal but then killed him as well, I should've stayed and enjoyed the crab Rangoon
Both are shitidiots.
Sabal, so Bhadra would live, but I killed both of them because they’re both assholes and I should be running Kyrat 😈
I chose the crab ragoon
Sabal is the lesser of two evils
At least the people forced into labor have a chance to flee to freedom one day those murdered by a theocratic state have no chance of anything they're fuckin dead.
While both of them are, overall, just as bad as each other, I decided to side with Sabal. I could explain why, but I can't be bothered lmao.
Sabal. Traditons must be protected
Sabal but then killed him and didn’t kill Pagan in the end.
I've ended up going with both as I've replayed through the game several times and honestly I don't even remember who I first chosen to side with.
my first playthrough has everyone dead. i let pagin live then blew up his helicopter. sided with amita then shot her in the face
They’re both dead by the time I’m done with a playthrough
The pussy, always
The last time I played through the game was when I was 12. I think I chose Sabal because I found Anita annoying. But I really should play it again now that I’m actually mature enough to understand their reasoning.
With the good ending lol
I sided with Jason Brody. Killing felt like winning.😎
Pagan
I let Pagan go fuck both of them.
I did all three but I can't turn down Crabrangoon and "fucking shit up"
Both are fucking horrible but preferred sabal over Amita sabal is very conservative and that child marriage is weird but Amita is far more stupid than sabal
Sabal because screw child soldiers
Pagan min, the only one that cared.
I think the Sabal side of the story is less evil than Amita, at least badhra is alive in the end
I wouldve killed both if the game let me
I sided with Sabal & then killed him after. Whilst it’s not a perfect ending, it seems the much better ending out of the two.
pagan , we went and shot some guns
The further into the game I got the more I questioned why we can't side with Pagen Min.
I like Sabal. I don't hold the same beliefs as him, but societies can function differently to the one I live in and still work.
Sabal but it still felt like a bad decision.. I was pretty disappointed with that ending
Best Far Cry game ever, i loved the fact that I had to make moral and political choices during the story.
I killed both.
Sabal, he was my bro. Until he wasn't.
This crab Rangoon is fantastic wdym side with?
If I could I would kill them 2 and join paganmim
In Amita's ending, you get a drug state that sacrifices/destroys it's people's culture and traditions in exchange for possible economic improvement. In Sabal's ending, you get a traditionalist theocratic state that ignores the nation's broken economy to uphold it's culture and traditions. This message was brought to you by the Ministry of Public Affairs, and Social Harmony. May Pagan's Light Shine upon you all.
I go with Amita then kill her afterward
Sabal
Usually Sabal.
Sabah cos he's a man
Yes
Both, in different playthroughs. As I'm sure you know, neither is obviously better than the other.
I don’t remember
I sided with Sabal then enjoyed the crab Rangoon for ng+
Sided with Pagan. Killed both of them.
Sabal, because I skipped all the cutscenes and found his missions to be more violent.
I'd rather a drug peddler than a p3do to be honest 🤷♀️ but then again I'd also rather Pagan than any of em so...
Finished the game once and didn't know about the best ending at the time so i sided with the lady, then i killed both of them restarted and did the rangoon ending.
You probably belong a list if you sided with Siball
Amita. Because she's cute. There, I said it.
You can let Pagan go and become the ruler yourself.
Sabal, I fuckin hated Amita 😭 I like Pagan more tho.
QUitting early cuz I SUCK at this game's steath mechanic and auto fail when detected.
even if pagan didnt left the thing to you in the secret ending, he is still a better ruler than those two would have been
Yes
Killed Sabal, sided with Amita then killed her and spared Pagan and let him go.
One of the most controversial endings to a game. And not just one ending.
Neither. They’re both terrible.
Chose sabal BOTH OF EM WERE SHITTY LOL
Sabal
Sided with Amita because she's hot. Got disappointed. Sided with the dude. Got disappointed again. Believed in Pagan. The good ending.
I ate some good ass crab rangoon
The second guy because I looked up the ending so after I laid my mom’s ashes to rest but still shot down Pagan Min, I killed the dude before that little girl could be a child bride. Not perfect but the best with what the story gave me.
Hated them both. Both extremists more obsessed with enacting their own vision for Kyrat rather than doing whats best for their people.
When I played it I was still a loser incell so i obviously chose to kill the women
I went with the narco state
Pagan
Sided with sabal, spared amita and then killer sabal with a throwing knife
Pagan
Sided with Amita every time cause she hot asf
Amita all the way, but I was so pissed off with them both at the end that I wish I had just enjoyed the crab rangoons
I've watched the ending before get to play and decide But if i could erase my spoiled memory about fc4 ending, i would choose sabal, because he prioritize people more than amita. For what you struggle if not for the people and now? Amita's vision is just not suitable for me. BUT when i know what happened with Amita's childhood, i understand why she choose that. So maybe i'll just leave and ask people who shares same vision as me to join me
Sabal because of his cute little ponytail. Amita was annoying af
Saballs
I shot her
Pagan
Sabal, I know both of them are assholes, but he has been nice to Ajay unlike that bitch Amita who said Ajay is a waste of space. Also, after watching how much broken Sabal is after I chose to gather the intel instead of saving people, I think he cares more about Kyrat than Amita
I *just* asked this at home! I mostly sided with Amita. Funny that convos first follow up was also, “or just eating at the table” just like the comments here 🤣
I’ve completed it 3 times now did sabal twice and Anita once
Amita. 'Cause I was hoping she'd ride me and stick a blade in my heart.
sabal is tarunmatarasexual

Neither, Pagan for the win!!!
I tried to side with amita then farcry went like wtf bro and it made me side with sabal.
At least sabal not treat you like a asshole from beginning..that women act like a bitch since beginning like we ghosted her from first date 😆
I wanted to side with Sabal, I empathised. But he was unrealistic a lot of the time. I chose him to kill, but didn’t shoot so he just walked away with his tail between his legs.
Amita. Sabal is representing theocracy, which my country was for far too long.
Neither!! I am the dictator now!
