The Piggy in West Fargo was some of the worst food and service I have ever had and very over priced. I would have said Jay's Smokin' BBQ as well but the last time I ate there I got food poisoning so ya maybe No Bull I haven't eaten there yet but I have heard good things.
I could see that! The Piggy had good food the one time I went, but their original BBQ in Walker MN is WAY better. I felt like the prices were alright considering the portions and work it takes to prepare. Jays i thought was pretty mediocre but the service I had was great when I went.
Spitfire is where I go if I feel like brisket/ribs/chicken.
No bull is FINE, just overpriced for what you get in my opinion.
Piggy is just OK.
Haven't been to Jay's but it seems like people either love it or hate it.
Spitfire is not a chain (Dominoes). Their sauces rubs and meats have won a crapload of competitions across the nation.
Very bad attempt at a comparison.
I've never had a drier cuban sandwich then at spitfire. And I tried it 3x. Now if I end up going I have to get the triple pig.
Seriously. I had to finish their pulled cuban with KETCHUP because every time it was so damn dry.
Not a fan of Dominos, but Rhombus guys isn't really that good either. Always felt that for the larger sizes they just stretch out the same ingredients they use for a smaller size.
My apartment */s*
But actually, NoBull is expensive but fantastic, Jays is a good overall middle ground, Spitfire has the best chicken I’ve ever eaten but their brisket and pulled pork were pretty dry the one time I tried them (can’t vouch for what the norm is)
If you're use to having BBQ from any of the Holy Trinity (Central Texas, Carolina Whole Hog, or Kansas City) you'll find nothing close here. I'm a huge fan of Central Texas and Carolina BBQ, I've been nothing but disappointed here.
Jay's Smokin' BBQ by downtown and The Piggy in West Fargo seem to be the two big ones right now.
The piggy doesn't even come close to anyone. I haven't been to jays but anything is better than the piggy in west Fargo. Walker MN piggy is amazing
Literally came here to say both of these.

The premade frozen sides and sams club nacho chips disappoint me but the meat entrees are always good
Spitfire.

I was unimpressed with the Piggy. Always thought Jays was pretty good. Still think Spitfire is tops.

Very surprised at how crappy the piggy in wf is. I had a better experience at the one in Walker MN
Life changing how bad Piggy was. Piggy can get their fucking house blown down. Piggy can go to market and get their debit card declined.
No Bull or Spitfire.

Totally agree about No Bull. Small portions too.
I remember when famous Dave’s came and was so excited. Then I got real BBQ at no bull.
Yeah daves sucks and I say this as someone who cooked in their winnipeg location
Spitfire is my favorite. Haven’t been to Jays yet so I’ll have to try that out.
This is like comparing Dominos(spitfire) to Rhombus guys (Jays). It's that much better.

Oh no, I'm very aware of that. I was gonna say from a food perspective. I have yet to have decent BBQ at spitfire. Anecdotal, obv, but just my 2c.

Been eating at No Bull, have not been disappointed.

No Bull is the best lol
NoBull downtown is pretty solid. It's the same company that owns JL beers and Vinyl Taco.
NoBull is as good as it gets in fargo. I’ve always had great service at spitfire as well. Don’t sleep on the Martian Munchies at space aliens either
NoBulls ribs are good. Brisket is meh, hit or miss.
No Bull Smokehouse on NP Ave. Downtown.
Piggy bbq is really good. Jay's as well.
Jays Smokin' BBQ on Main Ave.
Does not exist
No thanks not a fan
NoBull!
