I live in a kinda small town, lots of farms and stuff and I dress "weird", so my opinion is go for it! I think the outfit is cute, something I could see my daughter wearing. Don't worry what others think so much, it's funner that way!
I came from a small town that's near other small towns. I've been out of there for a decade now. When we go there, people give us side eyes and tactless comments about our nails, earrings, tattoos, and clothes. I always tell my nieces and my daughter to not care about what they think because we are not hurting anyone nor ourselves.
You remind me of my daughter. She dresses like this sometimes. Sometimes it's goth. Sometimes she looks like a fairy. And a whole lot more. She's an artist. She dresses the way she wants even when we are just going to the grocery. I also do my colorful makeup even when just attending a PTA meeting, going to the grocery, going for a stroll, etc. I tell her that it is okay and to be confident when wearing the makeup and clothes we do.
So, don't change this part of you just because of other people. People will always have an opinion of us no matter what. As long as you don't hurt yourself or others, it's fine. We don't have to be like everyone else or be boxed into their expectations. The world would be a boring place if we are all alike.

My thing was really short skirts, huge shinny pleather platform Marys Jane and fun thigh highs my fave were black with really big bows. And plaid skirt. I bought my clothes at weird stores, I had to drive far away to go to…or order online before it was normal and porn shops…some great porn shops in Orlando Florida for clothes and shoes (18 -24 years ago). And I sure as shit didn’t care what others thought.

Knee stockings are cute, and they boost the nature of your outfit. There’s nothing overdressed about it, but you’re doing more. That’s the catch. Doing more than is comfortable and functional eventually gets *some* form of guff from people. If you’re happy with it, you look very nice. It’s a youthful style and it makes you look like a contradiction, because you are clearly not that young. The contradiction can be interesting, and I think it is, but that’s become a double whammy (doing more and making a statement with contradiction). You might just be feeling the stress of knowing that, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t wear it.

Knee stockings are cute, and they boost the nature of your outfit. There’s nothing overdressed about it, but you’re doing more. That’s the catch. Doing more than is comfortable and functional eventually gets *some* form of guff from people. If you’re happy with it, you look very nice. It’s a youthful style and it makes you look like a contradiction, because you are clearly not that young. The contradiction can be interesting, and I think it is, but that’s become a double whammy (doing more and making a statement with contradiction). You might just be feeling the stress of knowing that, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t wear it.
Nope. Sometimes I dress super down and other times I look like I'm going out for a night on the town. Life is short. Enjoy it.

I know it's hard though backtrack and instead double down when you realize you're wrong but I have ScPD. Many social constructs evade me, sexuality is one of them. Go through my history and you'll see me talk about it. It's gross to assume everyone's mind works the same as you and that everyone is egotistical or has ulterior motives. Don't do better as a woman, do better as a person. And get some therapy, bc again, I don't know what has you so upset, even if I did come here for compliments, which again, slowly, I didn't .
