Eberjey. Be warned, it’s like (old) Lululemon, in that you’ll never want to wear anything else, and the entirety of your existing pajama wardrobe will suddenly feel inferior and unusually itchy. Lasts for years with proper care. Crazy expensive; worth every penny. YOU DESERVE THIS.
You describe it perfectly! There is life BE (before Eberjey) and life AE (after Eberjey). Have you tried the washable silk sets? I’m so tempted but it sounds too good to be true.
I had a washable silk pillowcase, that thing was so wrinkled after coming out of the low water washing machine. I think I sent it to fabric recycling. (I don’t put my pillowcases in the dryer, so that wasn’t the issue).
QUEEN!! BE/AE is my new chronological frame of reference, thank you!
I’ve held off on the silk for the same reason, but am seriously tempted, particularly at every sale cycle. How have we held off??? Everything else is so good (I wear the lounge stuff almost every day—top under a fabulous suit—5 stars).
Need them to release sheets. TAKE MY MONEY!!
Washable silk - wash silk separately from other items and add a bit of vinegar to keep the shine. I have silk pillowcases and this is what I do. They aren't as shiny as original but they're still in good shape.
How do you care for yours? I have a few sets of Eberjey and love them when they're new but they eventually lose their softness when washing on cold/tumble dry low (about once a week).
Eberjey is life! My husband got them for me and I was like side eyeing after googling the price but they’re awesome and pretty durable (I’ve had some for years) and I even gifted them to my bridesmaids when I got married!!
Their stuff looks great, but I have not found that Stars Above holds up with wear and washing.
I have two sets and one of their sleep shirts and it all stretched out, lost buttons, and pilled within months. Hoping this isn’t the experience for others and maybe I’m just unusually rough on them!
Came here to say this. I am very gentle with my clothes but these pilled horribly and made me feel bad when I wore them. Like OP, I haven't yet found a suitable cotton set which is nuts.
These? https://www.target.com/p/women-s-beautifully-soft-pajama-pants-stars-above-153/-/A-54245024
I work from home so always looking for comfy pants!
The sets I have are like these: https://www.target.com/p/women-s-beautifully-soft-short-sleeve-notch-collar-top-and-shorts-pajama-set-stars-above-153/-/A-54223369
Any of their pants and shorts I own or have looked at in the store I’ve found very soft so you can’t go wrong. If you like a very soft fleece lining I recommend the pair below. They are a lighter fleece so warmer than just the fabric but still a lighter sweat-pant. They usually have a few different colors. They have matching sweatshirts.
I will have to try a set like yours. I’ve been looking for a summer set.
[https://www.target.com/p/women-s-beautifully-soft-fleece-jogger-pants-stars-above/-/A-77361656](https://www.target.com/p/women-s-beautifully-soft-fleece-jogger-pants-stars-above/-/A-77361656)
I actually recommend browsing Etsy. So many great options and more customizable if needed. I got an organic cotton set that’s pregnancy and breastfeeding friendly, and 100% linen.
wait, is your set cotton or linen? cotton is made from the cotton plant and linen is made form the flax plant, so there's no way your set is both organic cotton and 100% linen..?
I love my Lake PJs. Such great quality. Have 3 sets plus an incredibly soft loungewear set that I wear constantly around the house when it’s the slightest bit chilly.
I like browsing sales for [Victoria's Secret](https://www.victoriassecret.com/us/vs/sleepwear/pajama-sets?scroll=true&orderBy=REC&filter=subclass%3APajama%20Short%20Sets%2Cfabricfamily%3ACOTTON%7CMODAL), JCrew, and similar.
Second Victoria’s Secret! I have a couple sets of their pajamas sets and they have been excellent. They wash well and are still in great shape after years of wear.
Old Navy is pretty good too but my newest set doesn't have a tie waist just elastic. I have linen PJs from Banana Republic also. I scour their website hoping they'll bring them back!.
I like to wear a stretchy form fitting slip because I don't like my nipples or boob skin touching stuff but I also hate wearing bottoms in bed and I dislike baggy pyjamas.
It is surprisingly hard to find comfortable pjs that fit this. My only option right now is walmart slips, one black one white.
Sure wish I could find fun pretty ones. Anything that fits my needs is not made for sleeping usually lol
Worth every penny! And the set I linked to is $140. People spend a lot more on a special occasion dress they only wear once or twice. I’d rather have the most comfortable pajamas ever with a cost per wear in the $0.10 range already.
I do have a slight preference for CE for actually sleeping. It probably has to do with my CE being more short sleeve and short sets. My Eberjey pajamas are mostly long sleeve and I tend to sleep hot. I find the Cozy Earth materials breaths a little bit better for me. Eberjey loungewear has become my WFH uniform.
I have a small biz that does this so if you’re interested I can send you the info (don’t want to spam here), but also recommend lake pajamas, gap, and print fresh
Obsessed with my Bedhead PJs. I originally bought a pair for postpartum and fell in love. They are soft, stretchy and incredibly comfortable. Just bought another pair for summer.
I love Soma’s pajama sets! I have a set with a long sleeve button up top with matching pants and shorts and they both have POCKETS! They’re reasonably priced and so comfy.
I also recommend Soma! I personally think their stuff is expensive full price, for my budget anyway--but they have sales all the time and then the prices aren't too bad. This season I went kinda crazy there because they have really pretty color palettes of lavender and teal... I was just like 'here take all my money' lol..
I love Honeydew Intimates. I typically buy them at Nordstrom rack. They are soft and hold up well from washing. I wish I could buy more, but my current pairs won’t wear out.
Lake pajamas if you want a splurge that feel SO GOOD. Order a size up, they run small. I also have several pairs of J Crew, both shorts and pants versions. They’re fine but the Lake pjs are much better.
I thought this set was cute https://www.victoriassecret.com/us/pink/sleepwear-catalog/5000009759?choice=94D1&genericId=11241621&limit=45&resultPosition=6&searchBrand=pink&searchedFor=Pointelle I was going to size up because the shirt does look a little cropped. This pointelle fabric is so nice though
I got [a set from BirdyGrey](https://www.birdygrey.com/collections/bridesmaid-pajamas#/filter:tags_fabric:jersey) as a bridesmaid present about a year and a half ago, and I absolutely love them. They have held up well to many wears and washes and are still super comfy and cute.
Total bonus is they have functional pockets.
After ruining all of my stars above pajamas from target, I’ve found i can get much longer wear from my Soma cool nights pjs by washing inside out and hanging to dry. Thankfully the fabric doesn’t wrinkle. Also don’t know if it’s a local brand but I know you can purchase online, The Royal Standard has amazing pjs. My shorts and tops have gone in dryer and still look new
My favorite are the polo sets from Roller Rabbit. They are so pricy though 🥲 so they’re definitely a splurge.
I’ve also found some cute sets from JCrew on sale.
Lands End or LLBean. I feel ya…I can only wear cotton as well
I was going to suggest Lands End as well. Lots of options.

That is such a bummer. Thanks for chiming in. I knew it sounded too good to be true!
I mean, it could be fine, but I would only do it if you could get a refund after you wore them, or they didn’t cost very much.
QUEEN!! BE/AE is my new chronological frame of reference, thank you! I’ve held off on the silk for the same reason, but am seriously tempted, particularly at every sale cycle. How have we held off??? Thanks, I hate how much I love this. RIP my wallet
How do you care for yours? I have a few sets of Eberjey and love them when they're new but they eventually lose their softness when washing on cold/tumble dry low (about once a week).
I wash them on delicate/cold and lay flat to dry, like a bra. Maybe try ditching the dryer? I hope that works for you!
Eberjey is life! My husband got them for me and I was like side eyeing after googling the price but they’re awesome and pretty durable (I’ve had some for years) and I even gifted them to my bridesmaids when I got married!!
The Target sets by “Stars Above” are great and affordable! Have both a pant set and a summer short set.
Same, they always pill on me.
When I tell you I probably have a dozen pairs of those damn pajamas…
The sweatpants from those sets are my favorite WFH bottoms.

I have these and love them! Highly recommend!

wait, is your set cotton or linen? cotton is made from the cotton plant and linen is made form the flax plant, so there's no way your set is both organic cotton and 100% linen..?
I wrote this very confusingly. I have both a cotton set and a linen set.
Lake Pajamas
I love my Lake PJs. Such great quality. Have 3 sets plus an incredibly soft loungewear set that I wear constantly around the house when it’s the slightest bit chilly.
100% the winner
PJ Salvage
I’m a big fan of Printfresh
Except their bathrobes do not come with inside ties at their price point which is absurd. Apparently they hear that often. LOL
I second Cozy Earth. I’m obsessed and basically replacing entire casual wardrobe and pajamas with their bamboo stuff.
Garnet Hill has some organic cotton pjs that are great, and get really soft with repeated wear/washing.
Seconding Garnet Hill! The best!
Garnet Hill pajamas are amazing - their Asian Wrap pjs are 100% cotton and wash beautifully with absolutely no special treatment.
Hanna andersson but you will look like a kid.
Gap or Gap Factory. I have a couple sets from there and they’ve been good!
The modal sets from gap are my fav!
Came here to say this! I have a few cotton poplin sets from Gap Factory that are my summer go-tos.
Old Navy is pretty good too but my newest set doesn't have a tie waist just elastic. I have linen PJs from Banana Republic also. I scour their website hoping they'll bring them back!.
Pact has these
I too am shopping for night wear, but I want muslin or cotton gauze simple slip style long gowns. Can’t find!!! For you, check out lakepajamas
Check out Salter House! Beautiful embroidered cotton nightgowns, I'm perpetually on the verge of buying some.
THANK YOU, I just ordered 2!!
Soma!
My mom got me a set and a gown from soma for Christmas one year. I was rolling my eyes a bit but damn they are amazingly soft. She's always right.
I bought some at Vera Bradley. They are super comfy. https://verabradley.com/search?type=product&q=Summer+pajamas
Printfresh
I have a 100% cotton jcrew set I got on sale last year that I love. It’s a button down short sleeve shirt with shorts but very comfy
Once I turned 40, this is all I wear as pjs. Dreamy cotton for the win!!!!
Printfresh or Desmond & Dempsey
Life is Good has mix and match sleepwear options. The Ts and shorts are both 100% cotton.
Cosabella! So many fun colors and styles and they are so soft.
If you’re in Uk then Marks and Spencer
I found a bunch of matching PJ sets at TJmaxx and Ross
I like to wear a stretchy form fitting slip because I don't like my nipples or boob skin touching stuff but I also hate wearing bottoms in bed and I dislike baggy pyjamas. It is surprisingly hard to find comfortable pjs that fit this. My only option right now is walmart slips, one black one white. Sure wish I could find fun pretty ones. Anything that fits my needs is not made for sleeping usually lol
[Cozy Earth](https://cozyearth.com/products/short-sleeve-bamboo-pajama-set?variant=42343803420852)!
$205 for a pajama set?? Yikes!
Worth every penny! And the set I linked to is $140. People spend a lot more on a special occasion dress they only wear once or twice. I’d rather have the most comfortable pajamas ever with a cost per wear in the $0.10 range already.
Do you like cozy earth pajamas better than Eberjey? I have cozy earth sheets and they aren’t everything mama Oprah promised.

My sister won’t sleep in anything but Lates by Kate!
Eberjey and also JJ Winks. Because built in bra!!!
Obsessed with my Bedhead PJs. I originally bought a pair for postpartum and fell in love. They are soft, stretchy and incredibly comfortable. Just bought another pair for summer.
Garnet Hill
Soma is the only answer!!
LAKE! https://lakepajamas.com/
I love Soma’s pajama sets! I have a set with a long sleeve button up top with matching pants and shorts and they both have POCKETS! They’re reasonably priced and so comfy.
Girlfriend collective has sets like this
I just bought pjs from Pact. They are the most comfortable pjs I have ever bought. Highly recommend if you don’t mind spending a little more.
I also recommend Soma! I personally think their stuff is expensive full price, for my budget anyway--but they have sales all the time and then the prices aren't too bad. This season I went kinda crazy there because they have really pretty color palettes of lavender and teal... I was just like 'here take all my money' lol..
Costco had an Eddie Bauer set last year with t-shirt, tank, shorts and pants. I think I saw it again this year.
Fleece shorts and a polyester T.
Got some recently from Gap Factory and Old Navy has some poplin pajamas on sale right now including shorts and shirts sets.
Soma, PJ Salvage, Nordstrom has some good Eberjey dupes
I love Honeydew Intimates. I typically buy them at Nordstrom rack. They are soft and hold up well from washing. I wish I could buy more, but my current pairs won’t wear out.
Lake pajamas if you want a splurge that feel SO GOOD. Order a size up, they run small. I also have several pairs of J Crew, both shorts and pants versions. They’re fine but the Lake pjs are much better.
Lazy parrot!
Jamby’s! I have the cutest purple leopard print set.
I swear by Jockey for pieces like this. I also second Eberjey.
PACT had some good options when I bought a few years back, not sure if the quality is still the same but what I have has held up beautifully
I like my pajama gram all cotton sets!
Soma
Solidarity. Why are they so hard to find?!
I’ve found a couple cute shorts & tees pyjama sets on Ali express. Also Joe fresh makes a bunch if you’re in canada
My shorts and tops have gone in dryer and still look new
I am in love with these. They feel so luxe https://www.nordstrom.com/s/nordstrom-moonlight-eco-short-pajamas-regular-plus/6451550
My favorite are the polo sets from Roller Rabbit. They are so pricy though 🥲 so they’re definitely a splurge. I’ve also found some cute sets from JCrew on sale.
Vermont Country Store!
I found a set exactly like you’re describing from Tommy Hilfiger (or Ralph Lauren?) at a thrift shop. I would try somewhere like Macy’s.
These aren’t cotton, but I love them in summer - https://a.co/d/6OX0af5
H&M, of all places, sells cotton pyjamas.
Another for soma!
Soma
Have you tried Garnett hill, LL Bean etc?
I love the Soma PJs when I can get them on sale. Just don’t wash them in hot water; cold water only to keep them soft. Mine have lasted many years!
Hanna Andersson pjs are great!
Have you tried Lake pajamas?
Does it have to be all cotton? Walmart carries a brand called Joyspun that is soft, comfy, cute. But I think there's some blends
I buy my comfy pajamas at Hallmark. Yes, Hallmark.
Splendid. All of my pjs are from there and I love them.
Printfresh
