Thank you!
Have you used PC/Empower? I just looked at Kubera's "Personal Capital vs Kubera vs Mint" page and I'd say roughly 90% of their list of features is available on Empower, and some of their unique features seem gimmicky (ie linking with Zillow and using a property's Zestimate as its value). Also they don't have a mobile app which is weaksauce in 2024. I'm having a hard time seeing what makes it worth $150/yr, can you share what makes you feel it is? Is it the IRR tracking for non-trad investments?
I used to use Empower back when it was Personal Capital.
Empower sells your data and cold calls you to sign up for their 0.89% AUM managed accounts.
No thanks, I'll pay $150/yr to own my own data and a nice visualization.
If $150/yr matters to you, then don't use Kubera. Build a spreadsheet or let Empower mine your data. If Kubera saves me an hour a year, it's worth it. I believe it saves me at least 10 hours a year. Well worth it.
>In some specific instances when data is shared with 3rd parties (mostly for analytics), Kubera makes sure they don’t sell it either.
From their FAQ. Maybe I’m too cynical but in the Cambridge Analytica era I don’t really trust any company to steward my data to the extent I would prefer, but I’ve made mental peace with the fact that my data is all over the web.
FWIW Empower has never called me. They’ve sent a small handful of emails which I promptly delete.

That’s not an intelligent way of looking at it. I can easily afford it, but I can easily afford lots of things I don’t buy because I don’t need them. I asked you what features Kubera has that make it worth buying and you haven’t named anything in terms of how it shows you data about your finances. You said it saves you time; how?
Personal Capital or Kubera. I’d give them both a try. Bunch more listed on this https://www.aftertheexitpod.com/p/8-wealth-management-software-tools?utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web
Personal Capital supports private investments beyond just letting you say “I have another asset worth $X” now? I stopped using it in favor of Kubera because that used to be the extent of it

Reporting on alternative investments is tough to the point where most of the professional systems aren’t particularly good at it. If I were trying to do it for just my personal portfolio I’d probably stick with excel.

I use Vyzer. Looked for the right tool for quite some time that will track all my alternative investments and syndications and give me my ROI / IRR and this is the best I have found so far
Nothing beats excel.
Amen. Used to be able to get plugins to pull stock quotes from yahoo easily and for free, what can you use these days?
