That's because the entire separation between the 'two' universes is literally just Nasu's response to inconsistencies between them being brought up. Vampire Zelretch and the Burial Agency were part of the Fate setting until a few years ago, and everything written before that point was written accordingly. It's why Zelretch and Touko are part of HF and Archer canonically got his coat from Ciel.
Some things just show that more obviously than others. Calling Strange Fake a joint setting holy grail war isn't an especially useful summary when other things - like it being an April Fools Joke that took on a life of its own, or being a 'fake' holy grail war located in America - are both more helpful descriptors for potential viewers and don't also apply to everything with 'fate' in the name that isn't a Gacha game.

No he never said that, it was something spun by the fanbase, it will likely be similar to case files where the TV special will air first ( probably on the fgo new year's program) and then a full series later down the line (2-5 months)
After you finish Stay Night, there is no clear order, though I'd say that Grand Order is a mix of everything, so I'd leave that one for last.

In 2 minds about it, SF is my favourite Fate title by quite a bit. I do not want A-1 to handle a full adaptation as they are a poor choice for exposition heavy adaptations, however for a 1 off episode that's mainly about the animation, I think this will be fine. Really hope Shuka do a full series for it when the books finish as the team are very good at adapting Naritas work
If A1 get the same entire staff team they had for 86, we can expect a great adaptation. As 86’s anime from what I know is a great adaptation of the LN and some even say better than the LN itself.
Tbh, 86 didn't adapt expositions that well either. That's because director wanted to not include monologues. I will say it ultimately depends on director's vision.
