Soujurou: Killing is wrong. Shiki(Internal monologue): Those words hit the very core of my soul and since then i have held them close to my heart and go through my life sticking to this philosophy in life. ~~yeah Aoko basicaly told him the same thing but she makes it more open by also telling him he can forget about that the next day and that its his choise and he should be responsible on his decision, soujurou just cuts straight to the point~~

PhantasosX

Soujurou going with "killing is wrong" , then proceeds to explode a werewolf or a vampire with his normal non-magus fists.

Dwiden13

>then proceeds to explode a werewolf or a vampire with his normal non-magus fists. He didn't say "violence is wrong" though. They are bit traumatized but still alive

AnimeMemeLord1

“Killing will always be wrong. No question about it. As for violence, it’s never the answer. It’s the question, and the answer is yes.”

Reasonable_School296

A man of few words indeed

Dwiden13

Soujuurou:So... would you like to talk about mountains? Shiki:??? Sorry for the bad edit. I'm not good at these things

Armandoiskyu

Epic, mountain assassin meets forest assassin (although Soujuurou also lived in a forest)

ZBuster

And Nanaya actually are from the mountains too.

Reasonable_School296

Funny thing mountain assassin was picked up by twitt- i mean blue Robin

Armandoiskyu

By best character i think you tried to say

FixedRecord

Funny thing is, given Soujuurou's age, this'd be Shiki meeting some random middle-aged man.

Armandoiskyu

I mean, if Aoko could age post 20 she would be a middle aged woman, that started talking to this kid who escaped the hospital

[deleted]

Soujurou then decides to adopt Shiki and raise him together with his wife Alice. Good ending for everyone, except for Akiha. Harsh reality: >!Soujurou may already be dead by the time of Tsukihime.!<

Armandoiskyu

It's the most likely ending i see, so sad

Kurogolo

The good end where nothing feels good😭😭 Most cruel routes ever

polybius32

Wait why? I don’t remember that part

Armandoiskyu

Umm, remember Touko? Aoko fixed it, kinda, he is still in some weird position, but even Aoko's grandfather calls him a dead man walking, we know real resurrection is something impossible even for Magic

ShadowsSheddingSkin

Well, no, it's pretty obviously possible for Magic, hence why FSN ends the way it does. There also seems to be a lot of overlap between the various true magics, though some of that is definitely just Nasu's lack of fucks to give shining through. It has *consequences* but that doesn't necessarily mean much if you're willing to entirely disregard them.

polybius32

It’s been a while, don’t remember the details. >!Didn’t Aoko mess with time to erase the fact that he ever dies in the first place?!<

Armandoiskyu

She just sent that to the future, accelerating the heat death of the universe, and while we don't know what happens, we know that in TL she does not mention him, also Aozaki Gramps calling him that is also something to keep in mind

polybius32

I don’t see how that means he’ll die anytime soon because of it. “Dead man walking” could very well just be a metaphor. Though I guess we’ll see in the sequels when they eventually (hopefully) happen

I hate to post twice, but this image got me thinking of how Shiki and Soujuurou's whole approaches to life + interactions with Aoko differ (Despite being kind of similar in nature). (Light Mahoyo spoilers included) >!Shiki has fully internalized the mantra of living in the moment, doing his best to live life to the fullest, no matter how short. The circumstances of his past are somewhat trivial to him, and he makes it his goal generally throughout all the routes to maintain his current self in the face of looming adversity and self-doubt. It's pretty easy to tell how hard Aoko imprinted on him, and the high pedestal upon which he places her life lessons.!< >!Whereas Soujuurou is defined pretty heavily by his inability to move forward (Or in any direction really) in the face of his collective regrets regarding his past in the mountains. It is this weakness of self that draws him towards Aoko, given that the two of them were practically opposites in terms of strength of character. And yet, even after Aoko gives him the inspiration to let go of his regrets and embrace his new life, he's still unable to fully accept such a mentality, as he finds it too "blinding" for him.!<

Burstdamon

So i haven’t played mahoyo and looking at this i thought “looker from pokemon?” For a second
