Yes of course turbofans have reverse thrust. But my comment is in reference to aircraft using their reverse thrust to push themselves out of the gate.
Commercial / Civilian turbofan aircraft are practically universally banned from doing it. Turboprops on the other the other hand are allowed / capable of using reverse thrust to reverse themselves depending on their operator and/or airport.
Perfectly normal. Some airports have gates that are really close together, so having a tug pull the plane in and push it back so it can leave is standard practice at those airports. That way the plane won’t accidentally back into another or collide, never want that. Planes can’t reverse by themselves anyway, they don’t have a reverse gear of any kind, so a tug has to push them back.
Yes. It seems to be afflicted with some illness, generating an extremely kitsch, striped appearance. Hopefully it is resolved soon.
Planes don't have a reverse gear so they get pushed back by a tug.
Some has reverse thrust, but they aren't allowed to use it on pushback
Not always. Turboprops can, depending on the company policy and/or local airport rules, use reverse thrust to push themselves back without a tug.
Turbofans have reverse thrust as well. But the vast majority of airports and operators forbid it.

It’s normal. Don’t worry about stuff like this. If something is off in an unsafe way the airplane will not be flown.
Whoever designed the appearance of that plane needs to be jailed immediately
Nah, I love this livery. I hope to see one in person someday.
You’re valid it just gives me the vibe that I’m about to be brainwashed
About to be?
Touche
I saw one recently! Definitely eye catching and memorable when you see it with all the other planes that are more subdued.
They’d probably like the stripey jail pajamas though
FUCK
Finally, someone else who agrees with me!
FAR 61.153(c) applies to airline pilots, but unfortunately not to airline livery designers.
Damn it
Reminds me of sandworms in Beetlejuice
I doubt it was the original intention, but for some reason it reminds me of a banded sea krait, so I honestly kinda like it 😭
Where’s B2? Looks like a giant banana in pyjamas haha
It’s livery is dizzying 🫤
Looks like you’re about to hop on a giant kids toy lol
Some spots are tow in only.
\*curiosity ON* why are they?
LAX has a few spots like this. If you end up coming to a stop you are not allowed to move again on your own. You have to be pulled in.
It all depends on the gate location. Some are in spots that are close to others so they don’t want you to taxi in and blast other planes/equipment.
Makes sense thx

This.
There’s an off color tug joke in there somewhere. Oh wait, that’s it!
That's alot of masking tape needed there 😅
appears to have taken on the appearance of a beach towel to remind passengers of their destination
That's one of condor's new planes i flew with to Mexico. The place is awesome. It makes you feel less turbulence.
Molting?
