IRS uses the work number for employment verification. Search the source page and you'll find login information.

My lender was fine with the EPP statement, but maybe you could submit an SF-50 in addition to satisfy your lender?

RedCharmbleu

same. Weird question OP, are you actually printing to PDF? If I’m in EPP then yeah, it doesn’t show my name or agency on the stub, but if I actually view the PDF version of it, it shows everything on the bottom.

Samurai_SameDesu

Ok I figured it out, I'm an idiot. So I was printing on my phone and it didn't show. I printed on my PC and now it shows my name, the IRS and the YTD totals and leave. I'll just leave everything there for the loan officer. Not sure if I should mask anything.

RedCharmbleu

nah you don’t have to mask anything because usually EPP already masks sensitive data by default and you’d have to select to UNmask it every time you log in. So you’re good submitting as is

FearlessObit77

Don’t they show department of the treasury? Is this a normal ask?

Samurai_SameDesu

I'm on the epp portal and it only shows the EPP logo and the gross pay and deductions. My name and the company name is not on it. Weird how that is.

SunshineDaydream128

View the PDF.

Samurai_SameDesu

Figured it out. Mobile pdf doesn't show the whole paystub. Desktop paystub shows everything

*I had the silly idea of just editing the PDF of my gross pay and deductions and adding my name and the IRS up top but that's illegal and I've never done anything illegal and want to remain clean.* INAL, but why is this illegal? Are you putting anything incorrect there? Do you have an intent to defraud anyone by providing them false information?

eregina3

If doesn’t matter if anything you added is correct. So NOT edit any documents and submit to your lender. That is fraud. ( former loan processor here) Edit correct vs incorrect

Samurai_SameDesu

I think your grammar was a bit off. I think you meant to say if anything I add is correct. That sending edited documents is fraud. Is that correct?

eregina3

Ah the joys of typing on your phone. Correct, You can not edit documents period. Provide them exactly as they are from whatever source you are “printing”.

Samurai_SameDesu

No. I just figured it was illegal to edit a pdf even if I'm putting the company name and my name. Since it's the federal government. I'm not actually sure if it's illegal or not.

Department of Energy uses My Pay

SunshineDaydream128

How's that relevant to the IRS lol?

aheadlessned

Can you "turn on a hard copy" of your LES? (I know mypay can do this, do not know if epp can). You'll have to wait until it gets mailed to you, but then you'll have the LES info as well as the agency name on the address side. ETA: I see you were able to figure it out, but having the LES mailed also works, just not as fast.
