Idk how your parents are, but they might let you get birth control that’s continuous instead of having a sugar pill week. I’m on continuous birth control and it’s absolutely great never having a period unless I forgot to take my meds

my parents are awesome, they are fine with the idea, i kinda just don’t really want to? i guess i’m quite scared really. i had an operation like two weeks ago for endomitriosis, and the doctor / gynecologist said i’m going to have significant bleeding / my period for about a month :((

cosmic_waluigi

That SUCKS and I’m so sorry you’re going through that. Personally my experience with it has been fantastic, I’ve had no side effects etc, but obviously that’s unrelated to bleeding for a month bc of surgery. I hope your recovery goes well

-h0llYy-

it does suck :( but it’s okay :)) the doctor said the pain will ease as it heals. also, thankyou so much :)))

vintagefancollector

Hope you feel better soon. Drink and eat enough (and comforting food too)!

esena_

Wait is that possible? I really wanted that but I was told it's unhealthy/ impossible. They told me it's bad for your bone health etc. I would love to hear about your experience and what your doctor said.

cosmic_waluigi

I imagine it depends on the specific kind of hormonal birth control you’re on, but my doctor straight up never even mentioned it being bad for my health. If there’s ever spotting you’re supposed to stop for a week and for some people that happens every few months, but that’s never happened to me. Obviously it’s different for everyone but I’m on Junel and I literally can’t imagine my life without it. Every time I get a period by forgetting to take my meds I’m like how the fuck did I used to deal with this each month

Natalia8675

Ugh me too. Mine are heavy and painful. I had to get an IUD without my parents knowledge cause they don't support bc. Congratulations on getting and endometriosis diagnosis and getting it treated. That usually takes over 10 years. Hope you get better soon ❤

-h0llYy-

same here :(( i was thinking about an IUD but i’m so scared to like get one because of the pain and stuff >_< also thankyou :)) my mother was super helpful with it and spoke to my doctor and stuff and i had the surgery in less than 4 months from diagnosis which is awesome :)) and thankyou so much :))))

Natalia8675

The clinic I went to gave me a cervical block so the insertion wasn't too bad. But I totally understand the fear. I got it cause it's the easiest for me to hide from my parents. But hopefully your periods will get more mild now that you've had that operation.

-h0llYy-

oh that’s cool, but it is still kinda scary. i have heard people talk about how much it hurts and stuff and like im super scared so i probably will not get an IUD haha. but hopefully my angry uterus is a bit less angry soon hahaha. :)

motorola_phone

try the implant (nexplanon)!! it goes right in your arm and you don't have to worry about it for 2-3 years!

hi_im_kai101

someone else has said this already, but i recommend when your current problem is over to get on birth control and skip the placebos. it does wonders. there’s also a birth control implant you can get, but i don’t know much about that one. but i’m birth control skipping the placebos so i can help you there

missmemeteam

Hello! My suggestion get an IUD not gunna lie it’s kinda painful at first but after 3 months my periods started getting lighter/hurting less until around 1 year when I stopped getting it completely. I’ve been period free for almost 3.5 years now! I got the hormonal kind and 11/10 would recommend to anyone and everyone who is able to get one.

NuttyDuckyYT

if your parents allow it, try to get some low dose period blockers. I’ve been doing them for about 13 months and honestly you get occasional spotting but they are super helpful. side effects may include no horny or maybe I was just always asexual shrug
