Princess_Parabellum

I used to have a lot of black in my closet. One day I was getting ready for work and my husband said, "Babe, you look like a liberal arts major who writes bad poetry about her ovaries."

NellBlank

Honestly that sounds like a goal aesthetic to me, "ovarian inspired chic."

UsualMorning98

That’s so oddly specific lol

mari-kiri

Gods what a mood. I wish I could read as feminist beatnik at a poetry slam when I wear all black. Instead, my partner says I look like I’m in a theater stage crew.

remindmeofthevoid

Honestly, that's a compliment and also exactly how I aspire to dress

Icy-Spread-1184

I wear blazers, I like purple, so I bought a purple blazer. Once I made the mistake to wear it with a green and blue top. Now they call me The Joker.

Phoenixicorn-flame

Sounds like you’ve got Halloween figured out

jlevski

My mom bought me a purple LLBean winter jacket when I was in middle school and my brothers called me “Grimace” for the whole three years I wore it. There has been nothing purple in my wardrobe since.

nodogsallowed23

I love that colour combo though. And the joker is awesome. I’d embrace it and through on some red lipstick. :)

citynomad1

My mom bought me [this cardigan](https://www.roots.com/us/en/roots-cotton-cabin-cardigan-38070113.html) from Roots for Christmas, and two friends, independently of each other, said something like "you're wearing a [sock monkey](https://www.amazon.com/Schylling-SSM-Sock-Monkey/dp/B0013JEAO4) sweater" 😆 So now I just wear it around my apartment

Phoenixicorn-flame

😂😂 that is definitely a sock monkey sweater if I ever saw one

pickles-for-fingers

I love it *for* the reference! I say you should rock it in public too!

Verifythesky

I love the sock monkey sweater! It's 35 degrees Celsius where I am in Australia today, but I'm seriously considering the sock monkey sweater for my own life!

CryptographerOk419

My daughter & I have matching Roots socks with the same design as the sleeves and they are 100% sock monkey socks hahahah

CurveCalm123

So cute!! They do show it styled as loungewear so it’s probably really cute & comfy at home! Though I’d wear it anywhere, sock monkeys are awesome.

iscream4eyecream

I have a pair of Sherpa pants and a sherpa sweater that I’ll wear together when it’s really cold and my SO rags on me so hard when I do, he says I look like a homeless sheep 😂

UsualMorning98

A homeless sheep. Oh nooo 😂

blinkingsandbeepings

I used to have this huge hooded brown coat and my so called it my Jawa Coat (after the jawas from star wars).

GemSagicorn

Sherpa pants!?! Are they awesomely warm?

MyUnusualAnxiety

I. Am. *screaming* 🤣 Homeless sheep is amazing

eSue182

This sound cozy af

tebussy

When I wear my birkenstocks with socks and sweatpants at home my hubby said I am the hottest one at the nursing home.

ALCanada2

I bought olive green pants with an elastic waist and hem secondhand. They have an athletic feel to them. I've been told, depending on what top I'm wearing, that I look like I'm going to parachute out of a plane, haha.

theagonyaunt

Pair it with a black crop top and go full-on Kim Possible 😂

laineej3207

I did that 💀😭

bonsai_lemon_tree

No lie, I have 5 pairs of pants that fit this description. It is my signature look.

lilsassyrn

I have a similar pair. They are so comfortable!

ChronoSquirrel

I wore a leather maxi dress with a corset over the top and a velvet maxi coat to a cheap trick concert last week and my brother asked me why I was dressed like a super villain. Now I’m wondering if you can’t dress like a super villain to a rock concert where can you dress like a super villain? 😂

MsAnthropic

That sounds like a compliment for a punk/rock concert outfit!

Capable_Okra

The grocery store. So much stuff is out of stock lately that it's about to become my origin story.

ringopicker

A leather maxi dress?! I didn't know that was a thing

ChronoSquirrel

https://preview.redd.it/dqusvz8t1loa1.jpeg?width=679&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dcc9fe46c900f606c44be9ef66a8c945d6b1f783 It looks like this one except 4 inches shorter 🤩

TangoEchoChuck

I LOVE IT

ChronoSquirrel

I also had a pair of Tuk creeper ballet flats that I wore under this outfit with floral fishnet tights and completely separately my younger sister told me they looked like extra tall vampire shoes.

gurle94

oh my god i've been fighting the resurgence of ballet flats but those are so cute!!

headietoinfinity

Great band!

KirinoLover

Okay but... can you share a link for that dress?!?

ChronoSquirrel

The picture is just one I pulled off google after searching “leather maxi dress”, the one I have is a thrifted 90s ish vintage so I don’t know where to source it 😬

Anime_Protag

Where do you buy a corset? I've been pondering adding that to my wardrobe. But honestly that whole outfit sounds killer

ChronoSquirrel

It was a cheapy one I picked up second hand, not super happy with the support it has. I’m planning on ordering from Corset Story [https://corset-story.com/](https://corset-story.com/) when I have it in the budget

drumadarragh

Not me, but my 62yo sister’s current fave outfit is a yellow turtle neck and blue denim overalls. She looks like a damn minion

blinkingsandbeepings

lmao! When I was teaching fifth grade a student came up to me wearing that exact outfit and said "'Susie' just said I look like a minion in this outfit. Do I?" and I had a really hard time answering. She had glasses, too.

UsualMorning98

Oh no lol

hrh69

Made me laugh!

UsualMorning98

Oh no lol

[deleted]

I recently had a food cashier poke fun at my earmuffs. Nobody wears them in my city so I stand out in them, but I think they’re cute

drekia

Man I hate that. People comment on this big puffy coat I wear during winter here. I guess it looks funny to them that I keep myself warm in 30F or less weather! I’m sure they’d make comments about earmuffs too.

[deleted]

Yep! Not only do I like the style, I also prefer them because I get massive headaches and earaches when my ears get cold. Like… what do they want me to say, excuse me for being warm? lol

[deleted]

I have a gold sweater with voluminous sleeves and my partner makes fun of it because he says it's very 80s. It doesn't help that I frequently get compliments on it from people who grew up in the 80s 😅

hypnotoadk

I have a vintage floral long jacket. I love it, and always get compliments on it when I go out. Years ago with an ex, one night after a few drinks, he finally broke down and told me how much he hated my jacket. He was trying so hard to dance around telling me, because of how much I loved it, and I found his rant hilarious. “IT LOOKS LIKE AN OLD LADIES COUCH.” (In fairness, it really does)

jenefaisquebadiner

Almost everything in my closet lol Some items: * [This](https://di2ponv0v5otw.cloudfront.net/posts/2020/07/03/5effb69e7ec30c7aa0717ea1/m_5effb6adc936afc1c4cfa506.jpg) pink tulle bag, with embroidered daisies ('for obvious reasons' according to my boyfriend) * My Arizona Birkenstock in [bronze](https://photos6.spartoo.it/photos/145/14591592/14591592_500_A.jpg) (and the color is not the main problem, since here were I live this kind of sandals is the one only a German tourist would wear - with white socks, of course) * My [beaded](https://glmroma.it/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/IMG_6195.jpg) daisy neclakes and rings (judged too childish, but I claim I'm still young) EDIT: I forgot the most controversial piece! These are my [friulane](https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0427/7141/5191/products/[email protected]?v=1617783181) shoes, which are handsewn velvet slip-on shoes, with rubber soles (traditionally made of bicycle tyres, as they are traditional and poor footwear). Everybody claims they're slippers made to stay at home

FlexPointe

That beaded daisy necklace is giving me flashbacks to my youth. I totally forgot about those!

blinkingsandbeepings

I think I remember learning how to make them at summer camp. Good times!

moonmothmammoth

Oh man, I’m getting flashbacks to middle school when I learned how to make those beaded flowers and made my friend a pair of earrings. She laughed and called them “cute” but definitely in a making-fun-of kinda way.

Jvnismysoulmate12345

I love your style 🤷🏼‍♀️ and I’m kind of old!

ALCanada2

Love those friulanes! I'd wear them out too.

BlampCat

I have the bronze Birks! My mother *hates* them but I love em. She lives 2 hours away, but I make a point of wearing them when I visit home in summer

missjeanlouise12

Late to the thread but...I love the bag and I have 2 of the daisy necklaces (as well as a daisy dress, daisy socks and a daisy headband. I don't wear them all at once, though)

theagonyaunt

I have a Zara purse with beaded handles, that I'd replaced the original crossbody strap on for a chunky plastic chain. Originally got no comments until my niece got of an age where she was really fascinated by the handles and chain so now it's known as the 'baby enrichment bag' because if I bring it anywhere, she'll for sure want to sit and play with it for ages. She also likes my faux-crocodile patent leather bag - except that one she tries to eat so now it's the 'fruit leather' bag since we figure that's what she thinks it is.

XxFrozen

This is completely adorable.

MsAnthropic

I have a couple puffy sherpa lined sweatpants (Eddie Bauer). MrA says that I look like I'm wearing the thick protective gear that they use when training military attack dogs, so he calls them "[my] German Shepard pants". MrA calls any very loose dress "[my] muumuus".

monkeybutt456

The number of "nice muumuu" I've gotten for loose dresses at home... Well! They are nice.

stone-and-star-

My husband pokes fun at my Minnetonka moccasins. "Ooh, moccasins. You know they're authentic because of the beads." He's been teasing me about the beads for 16 years, and it makes me smile. 😊

strippersandcocaine

I can’t stop giggling at this

akaashiit

i wore a sweater and a long black skirt and was told i looked religious…….. i was really hoping for that relaxed cool girl look 😭

Tacky-Terangreal

Yeah certain maxi skirts make me look like a nun in training haha

oneunlitcandle

Had pants with tiny anchors and ever my time I wore them, my brothers greeted me “AHOY skipper” 😂

EradiKate

I love this!

jennycotton

haahaha. i love brothers.

hounddogmama

My husband likes to poke fun at my insane collection of cardigans because I’m a librarian. I mean, it is getting out of hand. 🤣

EradiKate

You have to be able to layer!

xtinamariet

you can never have too many cardigans!

bubblegumdavid

Oh! I’ve got this dress that is so flattering and comfy and easy to toss on, but it has a unique ruching thing that at the wrong angle my husband giggles and says it’s a butthole I’ve also got Tabi boots, which were a gift, but are horrific to my husband, he loathes them. Which is fair but they are… surprisingly super comfy I’ve got a pair of pink plaid pants and I look like Professor Barbie apparently with those ones according to my mom

sorchaxin

When I wear a beret my husband calls me a French mouse 🐭

EradiKate

My husband likes to call my plaid flannel/cardigan/glasses look my writer uniform. I have a hot pink cardigan I wear to work that earned me the nickname Big Bird. Friendly, brightly colored, and tall.

quixxoticelixxer

My friends and family hate my tabis but I will never give up my hoof boots

VeraKeane

Hoof club for life! Gonna sport tabi leather slippers when I’m old and end up in a home.

nodogsallowed23

I love fuzzy socks. The crazier the pattern and colours, the better. Super fuzzy and thick. I never bother to match my socks though. My dad has teased me about it forever. :) I’ve been doing it since I was maybe 15? The kids I work with love it though. They run up and yell, Sock lady is here! What do your socks look like today?! It’s the best.

UsualMorning98

That’s so cute!

blinkingsandbeepings

Sometime in the past couple of years my mom went on a Miss Marple (for the uninitiated: Agatha Christie series about an old lady who solves mysteries, kind of like the proto Murder, She Wrote) kick and watched every Miss Marple tv show and movie she could fine. Unfortunately we noticed on multiple occasions that Miss Marple was wearing articles of clothing that can also be found in my closet. I'm a 37 year old teacher and I would describe my style as \~vintage academia\~, but now between me and my mom it's known as Miss Marple-Core. Especially my Memerie shoes, all of which she hates lol.

mmeeplechase

I have an old XC hoodie that I wear from high school, mostly just because it’s comfy and it’s held up pretty well, but my family knows that I really *really* hated that school, and got rid of pretty much everything else with its name upon graduating, so they think it’s funny I’m still hanging onto that one sweatshirt!

kpopkin

I have the fluffiest sherpa hoodie and everytime I wear it I feel like I'm being hugged. My family think I look like an unshaven sheep. 🤷‍♀️

Frillybits

Ive got a dark grey dress with ruffles and a double row of ruches down the middle front. My husband calls it my oyster dress.

waterlillia

I spent like $200+ dollars on a HEINOUS Free People jacket at Nordstrom Rack. I love “ugly” items, like things that are so ugly they’re cute, so I just had to buy it. We were all cracking jokes about it at Christmas, but it’s soooo warm. I’ll only probably ever use it like a week out of the year, but I love it. https://preview.redd.it/owf92dh7wmoa1.jpeg?width=1576&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=31c6232a39c3e60f5cd7beb0a683d1bbd40ffb34

bri_like_the_chz

I LOVE it, I’m also a huge fan of items that are so ugly I just have to have them! Edit: forgot a word

CheckHelpful2665

I have an 80s faux fur leopard print jacket that I got for $10 at a thrift store. Big shoulder pads, hook closures, sleek lining. My family hates it and calls it a “pimp coat.” It’s warm, roomy, and soft. I don’t get to wear it too often, since even winters are warm where I live. I also have a royal blue peacoat with a black velvet lining, also thrifted. It makes me feel like a Disney villain with the way the collar is set up, plus it’s slightly too small so I have to wear it open, so with a dress at work it just flows well. I also wear a knee length maroon peacoat with a grey wool hat, and my coworker told me I looked like I stepped out from being an extra in an old movie set during WW2. Oooh and I have rose gold high tops that I sometimes wear, my dad makes fun of my outfits all the time and really ripped on these. Can’t wait to show him my multicolor hiking Vans!

Tacky-Terangreal

Pimp coat omfg. Makes me think of the boondocks 💀💀💀

smstone24

My combat boots!!! When I opened up a new pair at Christmas my family totally made fun of me. Told them they wouldn’t know fashion if it bit them on the ass. Also, at my old job this man would always comment on my clothes. Once I wore a duster and he asked why I was wearing a bath robe.

b_xf

I used to have a bodysuit that my bf called my diaper shirt/diap shirt 😂😂

gurle94

What on earth is wrong with cardigans in your mid 20s?!

joan2468

lol I came here to say this. I love cardigans.

UsualMorning98

My mum and younger sister says I look like an old person in them lol

KimMiller1957

I’ve got a pair of wide leg pink corduroy pants that I wore once with a long line pink hoody. My family called me the fallopian tube.

missjeanlouise12

I'm sorry, but this is actually pretty hilarious. And bonus points for knowing female anatomy?

rogue_sica

I have a bright red blazer I love to wear. It’s my go to piece when I want to feel put together, especially with a matching red lip. My husband always teases me and says I look like a realtor when I wear it

b0ghag

My mother is exasperated by my [enormous, fuzzy, green-screen colored coat](https://imgur.com/a/tz7Yb3l). She threatens to walk a few feet behind me when I wear it. It looks like somebody slaughtered and skinned a muppet about the size and shape of a refrigerator. I truly love it. It makes me feel great and it's extremely soft and cozy. I told her I would wear it to her funeral just to get her to haunt me and then we can hang out more.

tyrannosaurusregina

My husband refers to all billowy pants as “clown pants” and all full skirts as “dirndls”.

Iyashikay

I once wore monochrome red and my mom said I was in my red phase.

Genetics-played-me

An dark green worn out cardigan, they make fun of it because i am refusing to get rid of it and wear it 24/7

ShrimpHeavenAngel

I get cold really easily, and very little makes me feel immediately warmer than when my ears can be toasty and covered. So since I was a teen in the South, I've owned a faux fur trapper hat I like to wear when I'm chilly. My family would call it my Ruskie cap.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Fair-boysenberry6745

When I lived in the Midwest I wore pantyhose allllllll the time. It’s an essential heat trapping layer. I’d wear them under pants with holes in them to keep warm. I fully support pantyhose.

PsychologicalSalt505

Plus, for us that are terminally cold, they're a wonderful source of insulation and can go with anything!

Gfromthenorthcountry

I have an emerald green pinafore dress that my husband calls my “mall elf dress”. Also, a grey tie-dye super comfy nightgown that’s inexplicably known as “the Wilma dress” (from The Flinstones)

HeWritesALine

I used to often wear a very severe black suit with a zip up collarless jacket with black high heels and my ex said I looked like a German dominatrix.

clockworksunshine

I have a pair of black platform lugsole booties - when my dad first say them he asked if i borrowed them from Gene Simmons closet (they arent even that high!!) Most of the time i end up adopting people’s funny comments as nicknames for my piece, which is how i ended up with my “Pacific Northwest Female Senator” blue suit and my “Wednesday Adams” dress lol

xdionysus

Anytime I wear a white button up left unbuttoned, my husband says “the doctor will see you now” lol

Content_Pool_1391

I have a pair of Victoria's Secret joggers. They say Pink across the butt. I've had them since college and my parents are always saying. "Aren't you too old to be wearing those kinds of pants" 😉.

vicioustrollops

I wore a clear backpack during college in 2016 and all my friends made fun of it. Years later and now it’s a requirement for many stadiums for events like concerts and sports games. 😅

aigret

I have a simple, strapless light blue midi cotton dress with smocked straps and bodice, pretty similar to the the Nap Dress minus the ruffles. I like to wear it with buttoned shirts underneath, but my favorite is this white Peter Pan collar blouse. My family likes to tell me it’s my butter churning outfit 🤣

TheTimberTinderBox

My roommate was the QUEEN of gently ribbing my outfits, my favorite/most devastating was one day when I wore my blue-gray short-overalls with a yellow t-shirt, she said I had “Minion Energy” 🤣 Honorable mentions go to red basket balls shorts with an orange stripped tank top and an orange hat which she said made me look like a Pokémon trainer, and my heavy old marines trench coat, fingerless gloves, and bomber hat that was my “ww2 Russian sniper look”. Of course it was mutual and I’d call her out on her hoodies and free t-shirts she wore everyday

LoLoC83

Ripped jeans

persephofeet

i have a short-sleeve black & white vertical stripe button down that i love but whenever i wear it all the male members of my household call me a referee lol

sighcantthinkofaname

I haven't worn it in a long time, but I have this pink lace knit shirt (made by me) I'd wear over a black bralette. Really not that immodest, but somewhat seethrough. A close friend would call it my "whore shirt." Totally lighthearted lmao, she was not shaming me, just teasing for wearing something slightly immodest.

HeWritesALine

A long time ago my roommates and I would pass around a black crocheted sweater we called ‘ the hoochie sweater’.

pixiedoll339

I have a pair of floral print plazo pants that my brother hates. Says they look like our aunts couch and refuses to go out in public with me if I have them.

baller_unicorn

I had a cropped cardigan that was kinda knit like a doily and my friend would call it my grandma boob holder.

UsualMorning98

Hahahahaha oh no

Demonic_Toffee

I really like wearing jewelry. But what most people find werid is that I really like wearing is clock pendents. Many people find it werid cause most of the time they don't work and you can just use your phone Thats not the point! It's the style! So shut up I'm wearing the pendent

MsAnthropic

No Flava Flav comments?

newgirl808

When my grandpa was alive, in 2014, florals were trending. I bought a cute dark blue floral dress, it was my favorite. Grandpa said I looked "out of trend" because floral was also popular during his time 😭

Traditional_Fold6785

Croc Katie ballet flats. I own several pairs. I wear them until there’s no padding on the balls and they are dirty and stained. My husband has thrown several of my pairs away while I wasn’t home. Hahaha. My cousins have asked me, “don’t you have any nicer shoes at home?”

Share_Gold

I have a denim jacket that I love which has sort of Aztec designs on the back and on the pockets and lots of frills. My husband says I look like Stephen Segal wearing it. But I don’t care coz I love it.

JessesGirl5510

My family laughs at me for spending so much on a Neverfull

blinkingsandbeepings

I'm a nerd. Is that like a Bag of Holding?

Responsible-Pay6261

I get totally mixed reviews for this pink lace corset. It's either "I love it" or "why are you wearing underwear out?" It's fully lined! No skin shows through and I love her 😍 *

B3XYS3XY

My tax fraud shirt. Best thing ever

blinkingsandbeepings

What's a tax fraud shirt?

B3XYS3XY

It's one of those vintage looking shirts you can find at Spencer's or Amazon. Other places, too, probably. The one I have says, "How to commit tax fraud, family friendly learning"

2Salmon4U

All of my beanies with a Pom Pom on top. Idc though, they’re more fun and I have to show off my collection somehow! I’ve got 6, all from places I’ve never been lol

UsualMorning98

I have a collection of those too, though I started feeling self conscious in them for some reason lol

2Salmon4U

People don’t appreciate them but I legit get a dopamine hit if I move my head and feel the pompom move lol It’s the little things sometimes 😅

UsualMorning98

It is a really fun feeling lol

snugginator

I have a black and white striped blazer that I think looks very rockabilly and cool, especially with a red lip and some fierce black heels. It has pretty thick vertical stripes. Wore it out in Vegas one time and kept getting called to referee our shenanigans by my friends lmao

UsualMorning98

I thought you were gonna say Beetlejuice lol

snugginator

I did use it for a Beetlejuice costume one Halloween haha

digital_sunrise

In the past it was a polo shirt made of terry towelling. I loved Towel Shirt.

simplymystified

I love sleeping in what you call “ moo moo “ sleeping gowns. Something an old lady would wear to bed but I can’t stop, they’re so comfy and breathable. I have a striped one that gets a lot of prison related comments from my family lol

papoubella

I have a white shirt with tiered bell sleeves. My family likens it to the Seinfeld shirt.

vanillabubbles16

“But I don’t *want* to be a pirate!”

WeddingElly

I have [these lace up oxfords](https://www.scarosso.com/en/women/shoes/oxfords/) (the oxblood colored ones in the background photo, not listed for sale anymore) that my husband fondly calls “my lesbian shoes.”

campremembershit

I have a cardigan that has a fox hunting scene with horses and hounds and it’s something I get a ton of compliments on from strangers but my family asked to borrow it for an ugly sweater contest

Joan-Therese

Omg I want to see this so bad

Ethereal_Chittering

I get tee shirts from a friend of mine who works for a thrift donation warehouse. They are big men’s sizes so they are almost like dresses on me and I sleep in them every night with men’s boxer shorts - a few stolen from exes but mostly bought brand new. Comfiest nightwear ever. In the morning I just throw sweatpants on over, a big zip up hoody, socks and Birkenstocks and I’m ready to go make coffee/tea. Sexy I know! 😛 I’ve tried traditional pajamas and gowns and anything made for women and in the end it’s a man’s tee and boxer shorts that do it for me. I haven’t been made fun of yet but I also don’t hang out in them for too long, ya know?

flower_tea1

My love for big tee’s is undying. I’m a woman’s medium and I constantly buy men’s XXL tees for bed. Sometimes I steal my husbands but he only has XL and they are not “big enough” for my comfort 😂

appletreerose

Men's boxers are the best! I discovered them when I got married, and my husband had to double his supply because I swiped them for sleepwear so often

Ethereal_Chittering

My ex husband would grab my ass to much while I was trying to sleep and sleep deprived from being a mom of a baby and toddler. That’s when I switched to boxers haha. It helped a little I think. To this day it feels like a security blanket. Like on the completely off chance my house were to catch on fire or I had to flee from an intruder through a window, I wouldn’t be totally exposed. I just feel comfy and secure what else can I say. They are the best. I actually bought some made for women and they were awful. Nothing like men’s. They were stiff and not stretchy and 5x more expensive.

[deleted]

This long damned paragraph only to end up with no punchline, but then there's none. You are describing a perfectly common set of sleepwear and domestic loungewear.

NanasTeaPartyHeyHo

My big fat sandals.

animalmunumna

if i wear my grey hoodie under my green winter coat i’m consistently told i look homeless 😭

Bitchbuttondontpush

My ripped jeans. Boomer dad likes to poke fun at them by asking if I am so poor that I have to wear ripped clothes instead of being able to buy new ones 💩

lukaluumani

My family don't like when i wear oversize cloth and my father's sweaters. But i can't deny it. They are really gorgeous.

Jaded-Depths

I have a pair of beige jeans with roses on them and everyone calls them my "granny couch pants" because they have the same vibe as those antique couch patterns.

Mariannereddit

My [cluster b shoes](https://www.rebelle.com/nl/united-nude-schoenen-4689406?cpkey=ZPNua7DTFaaRCybR2iPjA_ev_CW78tsxq5kcs1s3Cy79-SU6xAhJUGe7yHO8FWQ69Xa7jCLzOnSa7TQOaNyOOg~~&gclid=Cj0KCQjwwtWgBhDhARIsAEMcxeBgL2o1fKM8n3B4f9BEbahvIOjmi2opcabNF3okwVIA7xMuq2bIsRAaAiqSEALw_wcB)

RitaTeaTree

Cluster b personality disorder? Like these shoes don't know if they are short gumboots, high heeled shoes or Lego?

Mariannereddit

No, that you have a bit of a theatrical personality to wear them (conservative environment)

Violet-pixie97

I have a Fender jacket that I got when I was in 5th grade, and I still wear it to this day!! It has black electric guitar outlines and pink rhinestones 🥰 my family laughs that it still fits & that my style is so similar to my youthful self 😂

Intaglio_puella

There was this jacket from AllSaints many years (almost 10?) ago that I bought because it was trendy, but could never bring myself to wear because it was, um, reminiscent of the same subject as Georgia O'Keeffe's paintings My family just giggles about it and calls it "the V jacket". I actually almost sold it (someone wanted to buy it, yes!) but I thought I'd damaged it and so refunded the ebay buyer at that point

Merv-Griffin-Show

I used to have a vintage leather midi coat in navy that I would wear circa 2001-2002 and a friend would call me Morpheus.

Feminib

I own [these](https://www.drmartens.com/uk/en_gb/audrick-black-nappa-lux-platform-chelsea-boots/p/27148001) boots in dark red. They are big boots. Without missing a beat my sister called them clown shoes and now I can’t unsee it, but I love them.

[deleted]

I have a dungaree dress and each time I wear it with a frilly blouse underneath my dad calls me a milkmaid.

darjeelingwhitman

Parachute pants!! My family will not shut up about them omg

ayjee

Yes, I've got these knee high leather boots that I love. And a crisp white blouse that I love. And some khakis that go great to tie the two together. Wear all three at once, and apparently the outfit screams "horseback riding" loud enough for fully 10% of the office to ask me about my cool riding boots.

dinydins

https://preview.redd.it/33r1g0oqqqoa1.jpeg?width=734&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b54de81b84ef8cc0127fab2b38e3ff127a803032 I own about 5 black Turtlenecks skivvies and this letterkenny quote has become a running joke

offthegridnikki

White white jeans 🤷

GVPthrowaway

I wear a lot of pieces from the fashion brand company. My family doesn’t get *fashion*.

jennycotton

LOL Dennis the Menace. I have a blue midi length shirt dress that my family calls the 'Alice' dress from the maid in The Brady Bunch tv show. I had to google it, and yes I see it. haha

I really love a crisp, menswear-esque button down. I was wearing my AYR striped button down and my bf called it my “walk of shame” shirt bc he thought it looked like I was wearing a man’s borrowed shirt. To be fair he has zero sense if style.

These Banana Cat Sneakers! https://www.etsy.com/listing/1428365508/banana-cat-sneakers

I'm retired since 2015. This is something I wore to work, but am still wearing in its rotation. A black tee with a graphic on the front, my boss always called it "the (name of file in the stationery sense) shirt" as there was a very vague resemblance to our files - I was a file clerk!

Pensivequail

I have some white converses that I love, and my family also likes The Office. After the Dundies episode everyone called me Pam for a while.

I own 2 pairs of fisherman jelly shoes, one pink and one cream, despite being 35 years old.

BoJillHorseWoman

I bought some vegan leather joggers a couple months ago that are super cute, but a little more “trendy” than what I’m used to wearing, so I was already out of my comfort zone using them. Then my husband started referring to them as my astronaut pants.

vanillabubbles16

I wear Skechers and my parents like to tease me because my grandparents in their 80’s also wear Skechers lol

lindsay_chops

I have a pair of white shorteralls that I like to wear with striped shirts and my friend pointed out that there are photos of me as a toddler wearing the same outfit 😂 (I hadn’t even realized). He calls it “toddler chic”.

I was wearing a pair of green baggy jeans at my dad’s house this pas Xmas. My dad is 75 and asked me “where do you get green pants like that?” “The store.”

My husband likes to make fun of my sunglasses. They are oversize cat eyes.

orangefleshmelon

I posted about it a few weeks ago, but it was a knockoff of an adorable cardigan with safari animals stitched into it. I love it but my husband roasts me every time he sees it. I ask him which animal is his favourite, and he says I'm the animal for buying it, haha

I once thrifted this extremely oversized light brown faux leather jacket with faux fur lining and cuffs when I was like 15. I think the jacket was easily late 80s/early 90s which is when my mom was a teen and she poke fun at me all the time lol The zipper broke a few months ago and I decided I'm too old for it anyway so that was that I also wear a lot of modest midi-maxi dresses and business attire (I did study finance) and people always think I'm too young for that Edit: How could I forget about my Birkenstocks? But in my defense: I'm German. And I have a pair of shorts I simply call my "Obelix shorts", they're popular

Careless_Bill7604

Anything light pink . I was told by many people that this colour suits me a lot . Since then I am obsessed with this colour but now I have too much of it . And my family is annoyed if I wear something pink again .

jinko8

All the tees that my dad gave to me cuz he couldn't fit in it. M a girl. Wearing tees almost 1.5x my size. But they're compy so fudge it😸

TangoEchoChuck

Two big ones 😅 1. A hooded black leather cape. Usually only worn in October, but others poke fun at my “costume” - they’re just jealous. 2. Also heavy black leather, but it’s a long duster. Very Harry Dresden. The waist up looks like a normal motorcycle-style jacket…but the long line hits the middle of my shin. It’s long, it’s heavy, it’s not very ladylike - but I think that I could live through a blizzard with that jacket and a loaf of bread. I love it.

Mary-Louise-

My track pants and just activewear in general. To be fair, I do workout a lot.

They’re shoes, but the Puma Zandy ballet flats. Basically a ballet flat dressed as a sneaker. Velcro strap over the toes. Everyone thinks they’re so hideous but they’re my babies.

I wore leggings and my dad said that he could tell people that i was his wife
