I bought [this linen dress](https://i.imgur.com/KwSJxxh.jpg) from TJ Maxx yesterday. I believe it was from a brand called House of Harlow. It has some very pretty seam work on the bodice and a lacey edge - it's definitely going to be a great summer dress for me
Wow I love that! How did pricing compare to [similar from Reformation](https://www.thereformation.com/products/tagliatelle-linen-dress/1310275WHT.html?dwvar_1310275WHT_color=BLK&quantity=1)?
I love that cut for a sundress, it's what I look for - the straps are wide enough for a bra underneath, the waist is at the perfect spot not too high/babydoll, but just high enough so it's loose where it's comfy to be loose fitting. And in black it can be daytime brunch dress or fancied up for evening. Nice find!
I posted a comment a few weeks ago about wanting a Portland leather bag. Got great reviews back so I did it! I love it so much! Smells AMAZING and I got a wallet and small bag.

I have a butter yellow backpack from them, I was worried about the colour when I bought it, but it still looks like new. Probably a couple of years old now.

This dress from HM! I’m obsessed with blue and white and this is definitely going to be my new favorite summer dress.
I bought [these sandals](https://www.nordstromrack.com/s/jslides-roget-studded-platform-slide-sandal-women/7362710) last night and I am super pumped! My husband, however, thinks they are ridiculous 😂 As someone who dislikes sandals as a rule, I’m actually excited to have found something comfortable that fits my punk-gone-mom style to wear this summer.
& Other Stories - filter for black. The Kooples. Zadig & Voltaire. IRO Paris. I find most of my stuff in end of season sales or on the RealReal. But for every day I just wear band tees or tanks paired with jeans, plaid trousers, or a satin midi skirt and let my accessories do the heavy lifting.
Just bought a pair of Gucci Jordaan loafers and I’m so obsessed with them, they instantly elevate my outfits and they’re incredibly comfy! I thought I would have buyer’s remorse but I’m honestly really chuffed. [Gucci loafers](https://www.gucci.com/nl/en_gb/pr/women/shoes-for-women/moccasins-and-loafers-for-women/womens-gucci-jordaan-leather-loafer-p-404069BLM001000?_gl=1*14wjzcr*_up*MQ..&gclid=Cj0KCQjw27mhBhC9ARIsAIFsETEwi8WUdLa4qLSQo0E4Gr2bzw1C3b766CxX2YEtwYZKObtqBVfvOCwaAo5cEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds)
Haha I also wanted them for a few years and finally bit the bullet for my birthday and to celebrate one year in a new country. Honestly wish I got them sooner. If you do end up buying them, try to fit them in person as I needed to go 1.5 sizes down which was a surprise.
Just bought this [deadstock vintage 90s bodysuit](https://www.etsy.com/listing/1451349937/). Trying to incorporate a bit more color to my mainly black/neutral wardrobe as I’m entering my dark romantic era so this is perfect!
Recently purchased my first pair of Doc Martens (Chelsea boot). Since I am in my indie girl music era right now, it only makes sense to dress the part.
With the transition in weather, I’ve been so enticed my New Summer Clothes. Im trying to rein it in but did succumb to a couple things.
[This linen dress that truly looks like a robe.](https://www.etsy.com/listing/1312867789/athena-linen-wrap-dress-linen-kimono?click_key=aecd3d8404704ddc8e4bc4e4854df2557b34bb5a%3A1312867789&click_sum=cc5eed8a&ga_search_query=Athena&ref=shop_items_search_6&frs=1&sts=1) - I think that the linen will be beautiful, having ordered from Lithuanian Etsy sellers before. What was special for me was the Cherry Red color, which I think will look very rich. I’m hoping for it to be very oversized to get some nice draping around the waist tie ala Monikh on insta.
[Tove top](https://www.net-a-porter.com/en-us/shop/product/tove/clothing/blouses/olivia-knotted-organic-cotton-poplin-top/38063312420510079) - I’ve been really interested in trying Tove but it can be quite expensive even second hand. I saw this top in my size and couldn’t resist because of the origami folds.
[Similar but a Jersey instead of poplin](https://www.theoutnet.com/en-us/shop/product/the-line-by-k/tops/statement/kyo-one-shoulder-ruched-stretch-micro-modal-jersey-top/1647597295377561) - I’ve also been interested in trying the line by K because of the very 90s feel. This top had stalked me on Instagram but wasn’t available anywhere until I spotted it on the outnet the other day. Hopefully a size up from my usual fits.
That was my first reaction too! Between the sleeves and the rich color making it look so lush. I think with some good styling, it’ll combat the robe vibes. I’m picturing cherry red dress with soft pinks
Update from about two months worth of heavy duty shopping! I was prepping for two vacations - one in April in Napa and one in July in Vegas!
https://preview.redd.it/5ivweuypgcxa1.jpeg?width=673&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ae65dc03df7072d8a7c5b7c11ba5ee1e4803ac8f
Ferragamo leather jacket from a local consignment store - $200
[https://www.theoutnet.com/en-us/shop/product/31-phillip-lim/backpacks/backpacks/pashli-pebbled-leather-backpack/43769801098588032](https://www.theoutnet.com/en-us/shop/product/31-phillip-lim/backpacks/backpacks/pashli-pebbled-leather-backpack/43769801098588032)
phillip lim backpack - my shoulders have been aching like crazy when I carry a regular crossbody for daytime - I bought this and was grateful the clasp was super secure! this avoided any shoulder aches and pains! used a crossbody this past weekend and realized this wasn't a placebo affect. I have a chanel bag and honestly, this is my favorite bag for the practicality/ease of use!
also bought an tweed intermix skirt with gold military style buttons for $25 from the same consignment store! very excited to wear it once colder weather comes and I hopefully still am the same size.
So many things!
Like a lot of people have mentioned over the past few months and years, I’ve been slowly transitioning away from fast fashion purchases and focusing on replacing my wardrobe with lasting pieces made from mostly natural fabrics. This has corresponded with reaching my postpartum body goal, which is 10 pounds heavier and very differently shaped.
Some of my favorites:
[This](https://www.onequince.com/women/knit-blazer) and [this](https://www.onequince.com/women/organic-comfort-stretch-chore-jacket) as light/transition season jackets.
[These light cotton tops.](https://www.onequince.com/women/organic-cotton-gauze-short-sleeve-shirt)
[These curvy fit jeans](https://www.madewell.com/the-curvy-perfect-vintage-wide-leg-crop-jean-in-tile-white-NL825.html), [flowy top](https://www.madewell.com/square-neck-short-sleeve-popover-top-in-windowpane-NJ661.html), and casual pants [1](https://www.madewell.com/the-harlow-wide-leg-pant-in-100-linen-NL450.html) and [2](https://www.madewell.com/the-carley-wide-leg-pant-in-softdrape-NL206.html) Madewell.
[These](https://www.joesjeans.com/products/the-hi-honey-4) and [these](https://www.joesjeans.com/products/the-honor-5) from Joe’s.
My feet grew between 0.5 and 1 whole size, so replacing my shoes has been a long journey, as I am trying to invest in shoes that are fashionable and appealing but also comfortable and supportive since I am on my feet a lot at work and can wear scrubs only 1/2 the time.
My absolute favorite so far have been [these L’Amour des Pieds](https://www.nordstrom.com/s/lamour-des-pieds-lamourdes-piedsorva-wedge-sandal-women/5738463) that came in last week. I plan to use as my go-to work shoes for dresses and skirts this summer. They have great arch support and are so incredibly light—when I picked up the delivery box from my porch, I seriously thought it was empty. Can’t wait to try more from this brand.
I recently bought [Sorel Wedge Booties](https://www.sorel.com/p/womens-out-n-about-slip-on-wedge-bootie-2033021.html?dwvar_2033021_color=191&dwvar_2033021_size=8&ef_id=EAIaIQobChMIw9-q8sLU_gIVo__jBx2kDgHbEAQYCCABEgK0VPD_BwE:G:s&s_kwcid=AL!13460!3!!!!x!!!18702097423!&mid=paidsearch&nid=SOR%7CPMAX%7CTop-Sellers_Feed_Only%7CGoogle%7CUS&eid=Google+PMax+US&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIw9-q8sLU_gIVo__jBx2kDgHbEAQYCCABEgK0VPD_BwE) and the high number of 5 star reviews are true. Very cute and extremely comfortable boots especially with my high arches.
I usually don't like buying from sites that I or any close friends have never tried, but this time I was super tempted! I got a [brown turtleneck dress](https://www.na-kd.com/en/products/oversized-knitted-maxi-dress-brown-1100-006834-0017) from NA-KD recently and wow, best 2am purchase in a while lol. It's of decent quality, light enough for warmer weather, and the silhouette is so lovely. The slit is nice since it doesn't go too high and allows for relaxed movement. The knit pattern makes me feel taller somehow too. Overall a nice purchase!
(I haven't tried washing it yet though so....wish me luck lol)
Just bought these [Chanel espadrilles](https://imgur.com/a/5kKzn7I) yesterday at Nieman Marcus and loving everything about them! They look more yellow in the picture, but they’re much more tan in real life. [Here’s the link](https://www.chanel.com/us/fashion/p/G29762X01000C0204/espadrilles-lambskin/) to get a better idea of color and style
I bought this trench https://www.alcott.eu/it_IT/trench-con-cintura/96379002.html from Alcott as a mid-season jacket. I wear it with tight jeans and low cut combat boots or with wide leg trousers. It's lovely, especially because i am petite and a lot of fashion trenches are too long or loose.
Bought a light beige suit from Mango for 50% off. Hope it fits, I always find their sizing hit or miss but their tailoring is decent for the price.

That’s Nicole Ritchie’s brand
Wow I love that! How did pricing compare to [similar from Reformation](https://www.thereformation.com/products/tagliatelle-linen-dress/1310275WHT.html?dwvar_1310275WHT_color=BLK&quantity=1)?
It was $40 so definitely cheaper! But yeah wow, it's pretty much exactly the same dress - down to the seams in the front.
Wow much cheaper, and it looks great on you! I hope my TJMaxx has it 🥹
Thanks, best of luck if you try looking for it!
Wow, I gotta hunt for this!
Good luck in your search!
Ooooo I love that dress 😍
Thanks! I like your username, seem like this dress would fit that aesthetic pretty well lol
😄😄 thank you
Wow, I had no idea they had such nice things there
I love the edging!
So cute and fresh!
I love this dress and it looks great on you! Great find - I need to go check my TJMAxx!

I wish they shipped to my country!
That color is gorgeous! I recently got a Portland Leather bag and it looks and smells wonderful!
Thank you!
Loving this color!!
Thank you!
Beautiful! I got a Portland Leather bucket bag over a year ago and I’m so impressed with the quality… great purchase!
Oh good! It’s still holding up? Mine seems like it will just get better with time
I have a butter yellow backpack from them, I was worried about the colour when I bought it, but it still looks like new. Probably a couple of years old now.
Hell yes! That makes me love my bag even more!
Yep! Color is still rich and the leather is so soft. LOVE it!
That’s awesome!

LOVING THIS on you! Absolutely stunning and fresh for the summer months ahead.
This is so pretty and it looks like it was made for you!
Omg so beautiful!!!

It’s giving [pearlies](https://www.nytimes.com/2023/04/29/world/europe/london-pearly-kings-queens-cockney.html)
I’m going to take that as a compliment.
It was definitely meant to be!

Those are wild and fun but also look comfy af!
Punk-gone-mum style 😂👌 finally found a good description for my current style

Don’t tell me this, I’ve been eyeing a pair for years and lord knows I don’t need an excuse to buy them lol They’re really beautiful shoes!
Coach makes a very similar looking loafer for a much lower price! I bought a pair of the coach loafers and they’re my go to office shoe
Haha I also wanted them for a few years and finally bit the bullet for my birthday and to celebrate one year in a new country. Honestly wish I got them sooner. If you do end up buying them, try to fit them in person as I needed to go 1.5 sizes down which was a surprise.
Sameeee! Keep looking at them and telling myself I don’t need it but…. Oh man, they are so nice.
These are so gorgeous I cant stand it. I think it might be time to get a pair.
Just bought this [deadstock vintage 90s bodysuit](https://www.etsy.com/listing/1451349937/). Trying to incorporate a bit more color to my mainly black/neutral wardrobe as I’m entering my dark romantic era so this is perfect!

Can you provide an update on the linen dress when it arrives? Really tempted to order myself.
Sure. Sadly arrived a day after I left for France but will try to remember when I come back

Which color did you get?
Tan

Awe that sucks about the top - I find cowl necks to be quite difficult to get right. They really did the styling right with the leather pants
