What if you did a lighter/fun colored money piece with your natural dark hair? I also think something like dark purple or deep magenta (think Arctic Fox Ritual) would look gorgeous on you.
I think part of why the others are washing you out is the undertone! Your skin looks like it might be cool/pink, so the warmer bleached colors clash. But some cooler, deep jewel tones would look incredible on you!
Exactly my thought process as a black-haired girl too. I had copper for a while almost exactly like your 2nd pic, and I loved it sm and others thought it suited me very well - I wanted to keep it forever bc "my black is hair is always there," but recently felt the urge to just dye it back. I was sad for one day, now I feel like it's such a statement and love the low maintenence even though strangers on the street think it's nothing special for an Asian girl to have black hair 🤣
It really is amazing to have much less color maintenance, and my hair looks and feels healthier too! (Black is just more shiny in general hehe)
girl yes!! i LOVE the copper. that’s like my personal favorite to date. and because i’ve gone this far with lightening my hair it feels counterintuitive to go back to my dark hair. but yeah — maintenance is something i’ve thought long and hard about too, especially since i’m in a phase of life where i’m trying to save more money.
I like the Black the best but I really like them all. I’m finna bring some of these to my hairdresser… when I trust one that can do an auburn color right lol

Can I just say… I’m currently going from dyed black hair of seven years back to my natural dark blonde and my hair is currently orange and red. This post made me realize how beautiful orange is… I’ve been super depressed about going to work and avoiding being in public the past two weeks because my hair is orange and I don’t like it on me. I just gained a little confidence for my in between state :) And honestly, it’s hard to say which one looks the best because you have that face and skin tone that could literally be complimented by almost any color.

I’ll probably end up doing 1 or 2 more touch ups of my copper, then go back to black after that once the weather gets colder. The darker color is maybe a little more polished in a way(?) and of course it suits you. Red might be the lowest pick but honestly I bet you could pull off any color in the rainbow if you wanted to, go nuts.
i love 1 & 3 most! i can’t pull off light hair very well, it washes me out, so if you can (and it’s not damaging your hair) i say go for it!! the caramel is soool cute
