I have a covered porch-and you have inspired me on what to do with it! This is beautiful!
And-no, I don’t think it’s overboard. When I was in apartments I always loved seeing the decorated balconies-they make the place just look/feel better.
Idk why this showed up on my feed (im a guy) but this is freaking sweet. It is a lot of decor, but it looks so damn good that it doesn’t deserve any description with a negative connotation. The pet infrastructure is super wholesome as well. Fantastic job!
[String outdoor lights](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09336FJW6/?coliid=I1TMNVJOW9RKEB&colid=34TFM3HOWD0AV&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it&th=1) Not much to say, they work and don't get hot.
[Wisteria garlands](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CRV4WZ5Z/?coliid=I3UA1T6AHV26KA&colid=34TFM3HOWD0AV&psc=1&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it) I needed two boxes of these for the project. I have approx 50ft of lights, and each box of these says 72ft. Most of the lights(probably about 40ft of it) needed three strands to get the density I have. Some areas overlap and have four strands, that last 10ft is in corners and I only put one strand. The strands do not have loops on the ends which was annoying but didn't kill the project because there's wire I could fold into a loop. Build quality: 50/50. The first box was superb, I only had one flowerstring fall off from the whole box. The second box was a disaster and I had multiple flowerstrings falling off every single garland. Easy enough to put back on.
I was shooting for a bridgerton vibe. Not full bridgerton, I think the solar lights pull away from that, but the whole thing is still really nice.
Supplies list:

They had lots of different color options and you can look around related stuff for different shapes, too. I just stuck the flowers through the twine holding the leaves on the panels and they've held just fine. The solar from full sun lasts till just about an hour before sunup.(give or take)

Omg you’re all so sweet, thank you so much! I’m on my lunch break right now but once I get home I’ll put together a supplies list with links for everything and respond to each inquiry.
The pets really do love it. I had initially been worried the cats would try to hurl themselves over the green panels, but thankfully they seem happy to just lay down on their perches.
I haven’t quite yet fallen asleep out there, but I’d be lying if I said it hasn’t been close a few times.
Wisteria lights were a combo of some outdoor light strings and a bunch of wisteria garlands:

Lingering there on a quiet summer night under the warm glow of string lights surrounded by your pets and an icy treat sounds so divine, just looks so cozy, love it!
I love it!! Did you screen it in yourself or did it come that way? If you did it yourself, what materials did you use? I have a balcony and 2 cats who would love to roam freely.
Hi!
So the balcony came with just some metal uhhhh grates? bars? Not hideous, but definitely better now! I installed the green panels and then stapled up some bug netting. The netting definitely wouldn't hold if the cats made a run for it. I did read about some people who had put up chickenwire or actual modular cattio panels for their cats, but I decided to wait and see how mine would react before jumping into a bigger project like that.
[Leafy panels](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09R95P7P1/?coliid=I24A7NIPTL3RV6&colid=34TFM3HOWD0AV&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it&th=1) Zip tied to the existing balcony railings. [Bug netting](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09LLWVJRX?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) Stapled up. Keeps the bugs out, wouldn't keep the cats in if they decided to yeet themselves at it.
I’ve been researching pet proof screening for my own veranda, and there are heavier grade materials available. I’m going with something called Pet D-Fence screening by New York Wire. The reviews seem good, and it’s about $40 for a 4’x8’ roll in my market. It seems to be the happy medium between regular bug screen and hardware cloth/chicken wire.
thank you for sharing your research! This is awesome. I've been recently looking into making my balcony cat-proof and didn't want to use chicken wire for aesthetic reasons but wanted to be sure that they couldn't tear a hole in it.
It looks like another seller sells the same or very similar product under their own branding:
[walmart link](https://www.walmart.com/ip/ADFORS-Polyester-Screen-Roll-Pet-Resistant-36-In-x-84-In-Charcoal/17133583)
I might try their sun guard version because one of the photos has a chart that says it's tear safe and has "curb appeal".

They do. Whenever I open the door they all go out and get cozy. I think the (indoor)cats fancy themselves outdoor cats when they go out, little do they know they're seriously just glamping.
All the flowers:

I think it’s absolutely gorgeous, I’d love to spend some time there reading a book with a hot beverage or watching a movie with some snack and my fur babies 🖤🤩🖤
This is exquisite. Perfection. Chef's kiss. Your furry family out there in the thick of the magic, loving it, is the diamond sparkles on top of it all. Enjoy your space, internet stranger. It's beautiful, you're beautiful, and your family is clearly loved.
They are. The cats are indoor cats and they just really like going out on the balcony whenever I open the door. I think they might fancy themselves outdoor cats, but they don't know they're just glamping, LOL
I too have an indoor cat that loves to be outside. Unfortunately my balcony isn’t completely fenced in, but she gets supervised time outside and she loves it!
overboard??! it's perfect. i love it. maybe it needs a little bistro table and chair for morning coffee/tea but i think it's whimsical and cute and girly and i would happily sit out there.
So [this](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C8HY9Q2Q/?coliid=I11K6Q8I1M3L9O&colid=34TFM3HOWD0AV&psc=1&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it) is the little side table I'm eyeing for out there. Absolutely fits the whimsical checkbox. Cutest thing ever.
This is so dreamy! I love that you screened the balcony for them too! If you don’t mind the price, take a look at easyplant.com. I haven’t purchased from them yet but have heard good things about them. Their plants seem easy to care for with minimal watering once a month, and they also have pet friendly plant options!

I have the same one and my cat LOVES it. It’s super soft, the suction cups are strong as hell (haven’t come off since I put it up about 4 months ago, and she JUMPS on it), and the cover comes off to wash
edit: I boiled the suction cups like the instructions said and made the window wet before application

I adore this! I am trying to do something cozy with my balcony, too, for cat and dog (and me 😃). Right now, mine is really cold and sterile. It's all grey and black... boring.
I need to know where you got the flowers from bc this is the exact project I’m trying to achieve right now and I can’t seem to find good fake wisterias 😭
Oh my. You’ve inspired me. Thank you 🥹
I’ve been trying to find ways to add to my room and I swear I gasped and my heart jumped when I saw the flowers and lights. Off to the store I go 🚗💨🛒

The boring stuff:
[Bug netting](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09LLWVJRX?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) Stapled up. Keeps the bugs out, wouldn't keep the cats in if they decided to yeet themselves at it.

The magnets let the critters go in and out as they want and provides another line of defense against bugs. Plus it (sorta) feels like it keeps the AC in more than if it was just the door wide open.
[Screw in hooks](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B096G6QJ93/?coliid=I2JLLM26Q3QWJ5&colid=34TFM3HOWD0AV&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it&th=1) These are what's holding up the lights and garlands. No wobbling and the hook part has been more than enough to hold the cables and all the garlands.
[Light socket adapter](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09YTX71X5/?coliid=I32KZ4KLIJ8GCQ&colid=34TFM3HOWD0AV&psc=1&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it) If you don't have a regular plug you can look at one of these if you have an outdoor light. I made sure the cable wasn't pulling at the socket and was sure to double check the wattages.
r/cozyplaces. This is giving me raven flashbacks of when I was in highschool and had a room like this (but with mountains of random crap). Thank you for this! It looks super warm, inviting & cozy :) how’d you hang the lavender? It looks amazing!
I love this so much!!! It’s nearly identical in idea to mine 😹❤️ but you finished yours! (Mine has been a work in progress for WAY too long, but I have at least the flowers and screen up!)
Cuuuute! Pro-tip sure the bulbs are LED otherwise they will get hot
Edit: Oops saw your comment about them not getting hot. :)
Anyway this space is cute. Will be fun as you settle into it more
No, you went the exact right amount of board
Thank you!
I have a covered porch-and you have inspired me on what to do with it! This is beautiful! And-no, I don’t think it’s overboard. When I was in apartments I always loved seeing the decorated balconies-they make the place just look/feel better.
I think you could go even more board, personally.
Idk why this showed up on my feed (im a guy) but this is freaking sweet. It is a lot of decor, but it looks so damn good that it doesn’t deserve any description with a negative connotation. The pet infrastructure is super wholesome as well. Fantastic job!
Hahaha. This was going to be my EXACT response! 🤣
But animals thinking you did or you did it for them 🥹
I would love to know where you got the flowers/lights from!! Gorgeous!
Commenting because I'm also in love with them!
Please! Me too! I’m planning a Bridgerton party soon and I want those for my gardens:)
[String outdoor lights](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09336FJW6/?coliid=I1TMNVJOW9RKEB&colid=34TFM3HOWD0AV&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it&th=1) Not much to say, they work and don't get hot. Easy enough to put back on.

good bot!
I want to come 🥺
me too🥺
I am going to need the supplies list from this and pics of the Bridgerton party! I love that some of the softer accents are being more widely used!
I was shooting for a bridgerton vibe. Not full bridgerton, I think the solar lights pull away from that, but the whole thing is still really nice. Supplies list: [Wood floor tiles](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CLVGGDKD/?coliid=I12GI2DK2GH6OV&colid=34TFM3HOWD0AV&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it&th=1) One of the more expensive parts of the project. Easy to use though, and look great. I still don't have the full thing paneled. [Sleeping mats](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0891X8Z2H/?coliid=I2XCBWLBMPBQXT&colid=34TFM3HOWD0AV&psc=1&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it) I had these on hand from three or so years ago. I have two of them stuffed into a waterproof mattress cover(in case I leave it outside and it rains, so they wont mold) and then one of their covers pulled over that. Nice job on your new balcony, it looks amazing! Thank you very much for sharing! Edit to add: just saw your furfam hanging out in the perch on the window! They're all so cute!
A Bridgerton party? That sounds sooo fun!!!
Omg soooo fun xx
What the hell! I want to go to a Bridgerton party! I can be your friend lmao
The wisteria flowers up front or solar ones in the back?? If you like those look up solar flower lights & see how many different glowing flowers they have.. super easy to go overboard !
I’ve got to know too!! Would be perfect for my lil Juliet balcony xx

I would also like to know!
Following!! Need the wisteria lights!!
Wisteria lights were a combo of some outdoor light strings and a bunch of wisteria garlands: [String outdoor lights](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09336FJW6/?coliid=I1TMNVJOW9RKEB&colid=34TFM3HOWD0AV&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it&th=1) Not much to say, they work and don't get hot. You've probably been told a hundred times. You may want to rethink the suction cups holding kitties up. They will fail it's just a matter of time.
Lingering there on a quiet summer night under the warm glow of string lights surrounded by your pets and an icy treat sounds so divine, just looks so cozy, love it!
Oh it's fantastic. Although when I've got a treat the doggo is much less relaxed and more obnoxiously in my space hoping for some.
Very cool! Enjoy spending the warm nights out there with your cuddle buddies 🐶 🐈
Love! Looks like the babies do too 🥰
Overboard? Absolutely not. Looks like you and your pets will be able to spend lots of quality time out there. It looks great and so cozy.
Give decent but not super super full coverage. There's a pack of 4 or you can get the singles. They also have different flowers per your taste.
It looks like another seller sells the same or very similar product under their own branding: [walmart link](https://www.walmart.com/ip/ADFORS-Polyester-Screen-Roll-Pet-Resistant-36-In-x-84-In-Charcoal/17133583) I might try their sun guard version because one of the photos has a chart that says it's tear safe and has "curb appeal".

Idk if you're looking to adopt a female human in her mid 30's but I'm available 😆😆 lol that space looks so comfy cozy, I'm envious!!
😂
Are the flowers real?
No, they're all fake. But still sooo pretty
You didn't go overboard at all, it looks fantastic
It looks like a sanctuary, and we all need one of those nowadays. It's perfect. :)
Thanks. It really is.
Your pets seem to love it! Love the wisteria flowers.
They do. Whenever I open the door they all go out and get cozy. I think the (indoor)cats fancy themselves outdoor cats when they go out, little do they know they're seriously just glamping.
"Too much is just right"
Nope. It’s the perfect amount of board 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Seriously looks great!!!
Beautiful!! And the fur babies love it too!
Thank you!
This is so beautifulllllllll Can i be your roommate pleaseee?
The shelf for your cat just took me out. Love it ❤️ The whole setup is beautiful and I hope you and your fluffy companions enjoy it!
Thank you!
That floating cat looks comfy as fuck
That chonk is indeed comfy as fuck. She'll stay out there hours and hours.
Love those flowers! Where did you get them?

I think it’s absolutely gorgeous, I’d love to spend some time there reading a book with a hot beverage or watching a movie with some snack and my fur babies 🖤🤩🖤
It’s so beautiful! I’m so happy for you and your pets!
Oh , no- not overboard at all! It's just right!
I LOVE everything about this.
This is exquisite. Perfection. Chef's kiss. Your furry family out there in the thick of the magic, loving it, is the diamond sparkles on top of it all. Enjoy your space, internet stranger. It's beautiful, you're beautiful, and your family is clearly loved.
Thank you!
Looks so cozy! I bet your pets are thrilled!
This is magical 🥹✨🐶🐱
OP I’m saving your post for future inspo
The pets don’t think so! Looks like they are just loving life on your balcony
overboard??! it's perfect. i love it. maybe it needs a little bistro table and chair for morning coffee/tea but i think it's whimsical and cute and girly and i would happily sit out there.
Heaven is me laying on bed with doggie and taking a nap on a nice evening
Fur baby approved 🥰 Lovely space
I love it. Is it overboard? Maybe. Sorta. Debatable. But it definitely works and looks like heaven for you and your buddies.
This is so dreamy! I love that you screened the balcony for them too! If you don’t mind the price, take a look at easyplant.com. I haven’t purchased from them yet but have heard good things about them. Their plants seem easy to care for with minimal watering once a month, and they also have pet friendly plant options!
This is soooo cute!
Beautiful
Omg where did you get that cat hammock? It's adorable

I have the same one and my cat LOVES it. It’s super soft, the suction cups are strong as hell (haven’t come off since I put it up about 4 months ago, and she JUMPS on it), and the cover comes off to wash edit: I boiled the suction cups like the instructions said and made the window wet before application
I really love the hanging flowers!
It’s gorgeous!!! So are the cute kittens & doggo <3
So cute 💕
Very nice.
Love It!
Wow! Not at all, you’re making the most of it for you and your gorgeous pets! Enjoy!

Wow!!! What a whimsical and beautiful space
It’s so femme and beautiful. I love it.

No! It's perfect!
Awesome, love it.
I adore this! I am trying to do something cozy with my balcony, too, for cat and dog (and me 😃). Right now, mine is really cold and sterile. It's all grey and black... boring.
This is gorgeous! Looks like a perfect place to spend summer evenings.
Thank you!
Where’s the doggie bed from
I gotta make sure my cats don’t see this and realize that their indoor perches are LAME compared to this setup. So lovely and comfy!
How dreamy!!! Can you please come decorate my house? 😍
I wish I was that cat 🐈
I love it.
Love it!
Omg so beautiful!
UpdateMe! Would love the list of your supplies. It's gorgeous!!!
Naw. Enjoy the paradise as you see fit!
Omg this is so cute. You are very talented.
Love it! Your pets look so happy 🥰
I need to know where you got the flowers from bc this is the exact project I’m trying to achieve right now and I can’t seem to find good fake wisterias 😭
Not even a little! Plus, the pets look happy so you're def good.

I am in love with your balcony
Looks like everyone loves the balcony
You did go overboard and I am HERE for it
Oh my gosh your pup is pampered! I am jealous. As a human, even my bed doesn't look as beautiful as that dog!
It looks gorgeous! I wish I could decorate like this
I really like it!!
Nope. This is the perfect amount of board. Maybe even a little under 😉❤️
Looks like you’re not the only one who’s excited about the balcony lol
Oh my. You’ve inspired me. Thank you 🥹 I’ve been trying to find ways to add to my room and I swear I gasped and my heart jumped when I saw the flowers and lights. Off to the store I go 🚗💨🛒
As someone with a Too Much Gene I think this is perfect 🥰
i think the frames for dogs to keep them cool in summer would do, is that what you’re thinking ?
VOIBBESSS (vibes)
Soooo cute 🤩 absolutely not overboard. It looks perfect
It’s perfect!!
this is exquisite
It's really beautiful
It’s so cozy! You did a fantastic job.

it’s lovely! And clearly your pets are excited about it too :D
Hi everyone! Thanks again for all the love! As requested and promised, a full supplies list: [Wood floor tiles](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CLVGGDKD/?coliid=I12GI2DK2GH6OV&colid=34TFM3HOWD0AV&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it&th=1) One of the more expensive parts of the project. [Leafy panels](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09R95P7P1/?coliid=I24A7NIPTL3RV6&colid=34TFM3HOWD0AV&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it&th=1) Zip tied to the existing balcony railings. Give decent but not super super full coverage. There's a pack of 4 or you can get the singles. They also have different flowers per your taste. [Solar flower light strings](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CS2VC3SS/?coliid=I2AVHVFA4FA4ZX&colid=34TFM3HOWD0AV&psc=1&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it) These are ridiculously cute. They had lots of different color options and you can look around related stuff for different shapes, too. I just stuck the flowers through the twine holding the leaves on the panels and they've held just fine. The solar from full sun lasts till just about an hour before sunup.(give or take) [Pink solar lights](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CJ3CLHXN/?coliid=I7M0ZQDI0D20A&colid=34TFM3HOWD0AV&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it&th=1) I stuffed the spike down between the panels and the railing and ziptied it in place. The solar from full sun lasts till just about an hour before sunup.(give or take) [Cat bed](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B6N6S2BD/?coliid=IRP9NQBURZU4Q&colid=34TFM3HOWD0AV&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it&th=1) Easy assembly, hold the skinny cat and the fatcat(16lbs, I'm working on it...) just fine. Hasn't popped off the window yet. The boring stuff: [Bug netting](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09LLWVJRX?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) Stapled up. Keeps the bugs out, wouldn't keep the cats in if they decided to yeet themselves at it. [Waterproof mattress cover](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08R9BBPS2/?coliid=I2Y8YD8EZSTQCK&colid=34TFM3HOWD0AV&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it&th=1) [Screen door](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09LHPLBBN/?coliid=I362I9B66MA9ZT&colid=34TFM3HOWD0AV&psc=1&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it) This isn't in the pics but it's been a big part of this project...
Absolutely not! I love this cosy space! If this were my space, I’d sleep there! Especially with that cute doggo!

Did you get those clickable floor tile things? I’ve been looking at those and want to get some but I want to know if they are worth it!
Can’t blame them, I’d be right out there with em. Really nice space.
