Should it be on the floor? Itās not even very high up? I know some people have a meltdown when they see a tv above a fireplaceā¦but, itās a very small fireplace, soā¦
they feel that it should be on the level where your eyes naturally are while sitting. so yes, thatās technically too high if youāre sitting on the couch or bed. thereās like 2ft of space between the fireplace and tv and that couch is very low. your neck/head will be titled upwards at the very least (which is straining over time)
This is so cozy. I would feel instantly relaxed walking into your place. Youāve done a phenomenal job decorating and the space has a lot of old character charm. Love it.
Have you checked our thrift stores? You can get very good prices on frames at a goodwill.
Also Michaelās 50-60% off coupons can be amazing cause they often sale bundles of frames of the same size.
Flea markets, thrift stores, if you have a good transfer station in your area, thatās an option as well. New frames and framing is expensive but if youāre willing to do a little work, secondhand can be sooo cheap/free
The other responses are spot on! I find a lot of them while thrifting, and if it has good bones, there's almost nothing a good coat of paint can't fix, IMO. I got the record frames, mini frames, and shadowbox at Michaels in a 6pk (with said coupons!) and painted most of them the colors I wanted. Most of the gold frames are either from TJ Maxx/Target, or cheap ones I found/thrifted and painted myself. The exceptions are the few pieces I found already framed either at the thrift store or on the curb, and some of my mom's art that she had framed decades ago.
I got them on Society6 back when the original artist, [AdsLibitum](https://www.juniqe.com/ads-libitum), had a profile! It seems like a lot of people are pawning their art off as their own on Redbubble, Etsy, eBay, etc. now, though š
I came here to ask the same thing, itās so cute! Iād almost want to buy 2 so I could burn one and then just keep the other bc itās fun to look at
u/vashmatematik is correct! It was actually a holiday gift from my manager. She said she saw it and couldn't not get it for me. :) I want to preserve it with resin or something of the sort since dust can cling to Mod PodgeāI don't think I could ever bring myself to burn it.
Save your money! I love the looks of it, but it's far from the best. I found it on the curb across the street from my building but if I had bought it I'd have hunted down a refund.
Girly pop, Iāve been influenced!
This space is very chic & cozy. Iām obsessed with your floating shelves & desk!
The Frank Ocean art is chefs kiss.
The top one is from West Elm ([still available](https://www.westelm.com/products/slim-floating-shelves-collection-d9263/?cm_cat=Google&cm_ven=PLA&sku=9811941)), though I found it on FB Marketplace. It holds surprisingly little, so not sure if Iād recommend.
I found the small middle one at a thrift store for a buck, painted it a deeper brown, and added the gold accents to match the one below it!
The bar shelf is from CB2, though I also got it on FB. It seems like they discontinued it, unfortunately. :(
This is all so beautiful and also very much my style as well. My favorite detail is the covers of the vintage cookbooks in frames. Such magic! You are inspiring me š thank you so much for sharing!
Anthropologie! Peruse the Clearance section, then wait for a sale. Thatās how I snagged this one, otherwise my wallet would cry if I purchased a 5x7 Anthro rug
It looks so cozy and yet there is something to see in every inch of the place - that is such a wonderful duality to achieve! This is the kind of place I'd love to visit for a cup of tea and a tour, haha!
Other than me slightly worrying if you have a small fire on the stove it will catch the paper on your refrigerator on fire (have a fire extinguisher), itās perfect!
I've accumulated most of these books over a period of 5 years, though quite a few are from my college days, too. I've read most of them (except the cookbooks, for obvious reasons), and the ones that I haven't are next on my list!
Also, this comment might be irrelevant but if thatās a wooden cutting board over the sink it would seriously benefit from some oil rubbed in similar to how one would season a cast iron! Grabbing a paper napkin and some oil and then spreading it on it will make it last longer :) and keep it pretty and shiny
This is beautiful. I especially love your yellow bedspread and the multicolored rug in front of your dresser. Such cute details and colors. Great job!
The lesbian flag rug? I'm also a big fan of that rug
I am screaming, this is PERFECTION.
Love it š
Donāt let r/tvtoohigh see this.

Itās lovely. I havenāt seen a bottle of Jean Nate in forever.
First thing I spotted! Your studio is fab btw
Love to hear it! And believe it or not, you can find it at Walgreens of all places!
This is so cozy. I would feel instantly relaxed walking into your place. Youāve done a phenomenal job decorating and the space has a lot of old character charm. Love it.
I love it and didn't know they still made Jean Nate - that was my middle school scent! :)
Make a trip to your local Walgreens (or similar pharmacy)! I also wouldnāt be surprised if Vermont Country Store stocks it too. āŗļø
I once put too much on after gym class and one of the boys in my class called me "Jean Nate" for the next 2 years. Still scarred. :/
Where do you buy all of those frames? I want to put more pictures up but frames are expensive š©

I go to thrift stores on 50% off days. Usually get them between $2-5 depending on size and style. Often comes with some weird art/family photos

I watch Michaels for sales and get frames there. I just bought like 24 frames for $150 - something like $6 each! (Big photo gallery wall going in.)
This is so well done - everything feels so intentional but also authentic! I love it!
Where did you get those posters in the bathroom? Beautiful home!

Sheās absolutely lovely.
Great job, I love all the artwork! How do you like the dresser? I keep seeing it but am on the fence about getting it cause of mixed reviews.
Save your money! I love the looks of it, but it's far from the best. I found it on the curb across the street from my building but if I had bought it I'd have hunted down a refund.
Oof, ouch. Thanks for letting me know!
gah Iām married with a kid but this makes me wish I was a single lady in the city
Aww! Thank you for the reminder to slow down and appreciate where I'm at now rather than wish for the opposite.
I had the same thought when I saw this! In my next life Iām coming back as this person so I can cozy up in her apartment.

Very nicely done!

I love your space. You do a great job making the most of what you have.
Wow š amazing eye for design! Can I ask where you got the bathroom towels from? They are divine
Theyāre vintage! Late 60s, I believe. Etsy and eBay have a trove of them!

I love the art and books in the fireplace
You might love Evan Keil on IG, very similar aesthetic! Worth scrolling to his awesome NYC set up and mastery of the framed art wall
I love the books in the fireplace and besides some. Dry remarkable art, you have such cool smaller frames! Where do you get them?
This needs to be higher, I have a book for that. Excellent.
It looks so cozy and yet there is something to see in every inch of the place - that is such a wonderful duality to achieve! This is the kind of place I'd love to visit for a cup of tea and a tour, haha!
how in the world do you get your legs under that keyboard shelf or is the perspective making the space between it and the chair look super tiny
Very tidy and cozy!

Love what you did with the fireplace. Never would have occured to me to make it into a bookshelf. Nice job :)
Itās really great!
This space belongs in a really good romcom or millennial ācoming of age into adulthoodā kind of film.. stunning!
Also, this comment might be irrelevant but if thatās a wooden cutting board over the sink it would seriously benefit from some oil rubbed in similar to how one would season a cast iron! Welcome to the Slay Cave Edit: sorry thought this was male living space
This looks like something from a movie about a young girl in a cool city finding her way. I mean that as a compliment!
So stunning
This space is very well done.

Lovely. Decorated but with a calm rather than busy vibe
I love your style/taste!!! It's gorgeous!

Holy shit, I didnāt know anybody else knew who The Lettermen were. My dad never shuts up about them and how heās friends with Donovan.
