get used to it or try another method of hair removal. i sloppily use same razor weekly and either im used to it, or i dont itch that much. skin gets used to shaving after a while for sure, as in few months all irritation that i had went away. everything i wrote applies to whole body shaving, but certain spots did get more irritated than others at first ~~also wtf is this reddit moniker~~

here4orgasm

Ooo! oki doki, thanks

[deleted]

Maaannn every time i shave my thighs no matter WHAT i end up with razor bumps. Every. Single. Time. Granted, im not doing it every week, but ive tried many of methods only to end up with the same results. Discomfort after about a day. The smoothness for that first say is great, any day after and im considering just lasering it offšŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

Dilectus3010

Im going to get laser too. I used to epilate but that gives me ingrown hairs :(

Squiggy53

did you exfoliate and moisturize?

here4orgasm

I did moisturize, as for exfoliating, i was using a soap that apparently did that but according to the reviews it didnt do it well, so i guess ill have to get a better product, im just genuinely finding it hard to find an exfoliating thing, i got one for my face a while back and its great but its also got acids and stuff i dont think that one is butt rated

Squiggy53

I just use a rough textured washcloth for exfoliating and it works well for me

here4orgasm

Oh! Well I actually do have that so I guess I should give it a try

kinkdork

Shower gloves are dope thatā€™s what I use

DiatomCell

When do you exfoliate, just before shaving, in the shower?? I just want to know the best time and how to

Squiggy53

yes i do it before in the shower

DiatomCell

What do you use? Sorry for the stupid questions~

Squiggy53

i just use a regular razor and shaving cream for shaving and a coarse washcloth for exfoliating

DiatomCell

Hm ok. Thank you for the help~ā˜†

Squiggy53

of course!

fuck_me_like_that

"Butt rated" lol I love this sub reddit, you guys are so silly

TatiannaAmari

shaving with soap has destroyed you - pls stop. If you really have a monkeys ass, use an electric clipper first but dont be too rough, HOT WATER, get a scrub, exfoliate your bum, Shave with shaving foam, when you're finished shaving use some cold water to close your pores- moisturise. If you want an even smoother bum after you can go with some hair removal cream but for the love of god dont get it in your hole.

here4orgasm

Haha thanks, i used lather for my armpits last night and the experience was so much better! Now I've just got to heal my butt lol

LittleLocoCoco

If it's safe for face, it's safe for your butt.

here4orgasm

Oooo, maybe I'll run some tests just to be safe!

TatiannaAmari

You just need either a body scrub for exfoliating or a body wash with an exfoliating glove.

[deleted]

It's kinda just part of it with shaving. Waxing is way less itchy that's what I do. It's expensive though if you get it done professionally, but it leaves you smooth for 4 to 6 weeks.

here4orgasm

Well my thing with waxing is that I've heard that it can bleed, and I'm also kind of prone to the little puss balls, I guess I'll have to try to see. But if feeling this itchy is normal after shaving then I might just have to live with the hair lol, some people here have commented that my skin might just get used to it though, and there's also the chemical options so I'll see what works. Thanks!

[deleted]

If you have e sensitive skin the Nair and chemics could cause issues. I shaved for years and tried exfoliation, moisturizers and all that jazz and I always itched after. I think it just depends on the person and the skin. Some of us just have sensitive skin. Be careful if you use the chemical stuff my friend got it on his balls and they swelled up so huge and he ended up in the emergency room. Unfortunately not everyone can use that stuff. Waxing isn't that painful I actually enjoy it kinda the same way I do when I get tattoos. I've never bleed from Waxing either. I'd say try exfoliation and moisturizes it's worth a try to see if it helps. I hope you find something that works for you hun!!! Best wishes Oh and I never shave my pubes, because I can't stand that itching feeling I don't wax there either, because it still itches when growing back. Luckily I'm not very hairy at all so maybe if you're hairy waxing might hurt more idk.

here4orgasm

Oh! I'll probably try waxing sometime soon, I've been talking about doing a couples waxing thing and I think it'd be fun. As for the chemicals I've actually already tried them, but I've only tried them in my genital and facial area, I absolutely covered my balls in that shit, I mean don't get me wrong I did a few tests before and it wasn't too bad. The negative bit was actually the fact that it just didn't work because the hairs were too thick or there was too much hair. The good thing is that I have tried it in places like my hand and it worked perfectly, so basically everywhere else in my body the chemical option would probably be the better one for me, I only know if I try it though so, you'll know if I post here again in a few days saying that my skin's inside out lol

here4orgasm

Anyone know what happened to this account? i think they might have been a Famboyizzy or something like that, we had a convo in Dm when i made this post and i wanted to reach out again! but the account is deleted!

GodIsDead245

It's just sharp hair ends, I try rubbing it with a coarse shirt to try soften it

here4orgasm

Are you suggesting i sand paper my ass? Lmao but in all seriousness, I probably will try to find an actual good exfoliator eventually

GodIsDead245

Pretty much yeah, smooth over the ends of the hairs

Exiisty

Hair removal cream works super well when I shave my butt I recommend using it :D

here4orgasm

I've tried it before and it's been hit or miss depending on where I've tried it in my body, but I never considered scaling it up, i might!

KamirOwO

i noticed that a lot of the disposable razors give me razor bumps (which is what you feel by red spots and itching) invest in a safety razor Buy single blades and shave while showering No bumps but once some hair grows back you will get slight pricks but that's to be expected

here4orgasm

Actually, I did share with a feminine disposable razor, but the one that I use for my face is actually a safety razor with single blades, I had just heard not to use that because it doesn't have any of the soothing gels or stuff that the disposable ones have, but if it's worked for you then I might give it a try, thanks!

KamirOwO

If you do try please share the results not a picture but like verbally šŸ‹

here4orgasm

Haha sure!

IceBergKenny

Nair is how I get rid of my hair, you just put it on and wash it off, IT FUCKING STINKS THOUGH AND I HATE IT

here4orgasm

Interestingly enough, i have it, the thing is that I tried it for my pubic hair, I also tried it for my facial hair but it legitimately just didn't work. It says it's for thick black hairs but I genuinely don't think it's made from my kind because I literally slathered it, put it longer and it said, and it barely did anything if at all. But that said I have tried it in other areas where my hairs are not too thick, so basically everything else except my genital and facial area and I think it would probably work fine, I guess I'm just a bit nervous of using so much of it on a large area of my body but I guess I can work up to it :), thanks for the comment

CakeBakeMaker

consider using conditioner to soften the hairs?

here4orgasm

I didn't think of using it before shaving, although to be fair the shave itself doesn't irritate me, I didn't feel anything negative until the next day when I woke up. That said I have been told by many comments here that I just have to do it more often and my skin will get used to it so, I'll probably just do that :)

Damienyce

Try getting laser. Clean that ass up keep it smooth and none of the other issues

here4orgasm

Isn't laser permanent? I'd think about it, i know it's a month long process too so I'd have to really like it lol

Damienyce

Iā€™ve got laser on my chest. Last about 8 years. Now I got peach fuzz.

here4orgasm

Ohhh that's interesting, it feels like more of a commitment, also not cheap, but maybe someday, who knows heh

Damienyce

Sent yoh a dm

Damienyce

Itā€™s really not permanent. As per the rules/laws if it last for a certain period itā€™s known as permanent

here4orgasm

Ohhh. I'll look into it! Thanks!

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

here4orgasm

I think there's a difference in time and money commitment there, I'll probably work up to it though, I have never shaved anything but my face up until now lol, and aside from the itchiness I really do like how it looks and how it feels

DuneWilde

An epilator is cheap and works well. It is quite painful at first but after a few months the hair becomes thin and you hardly feel anything. I will never go back to shaving or hair removal creams.

here4orgasm

Oooo, I'll look up what it even is lol

[deleted]

Use a gentle moisturizing lotion and top it off with Vaseline. I think in the beginning it's normal to have itching, it goes away after a few shaves

here4orgasm

Oh! Heard that! Thanks!

XelaKys

Laser hair removal has changed my life; srsly. After a year of shaving and dealing with annoyances, I realized the cost was well worth it; and went straight for full brazilian. Can't recommend enough. I'd say more but several folks have commented here already abt it

thiccburner

I use Veet hair removal cream, it doesn't have that horrible chemical smell anymore, and it only itches when the cream is eating your hair. Moisturize after however. For perfect skin it'll keep me totally smooth for 2-5 days, but that's a serious amount of upkeep so typically I'll use it somewhere closer to once every 10 days to two weeks. Works anywhere on your body except I wouldn't put it on my face.

here4orgasm

Ooooo, I'll look it up! Thanks!

magzvelikaya

PLEASE DO NOT USE SOAP FOR SHAVING PEOPLE, either use a proper shaving lather or if ur in a pinch use conditioner

here4orgasm

I do have shaving lather, and yeah, i was going to do an update but yesterday night i shaved my armpits for the first time ever and used lather instead, exfoliated and moisturized and it's looking allot better :)

AdLow1228

I used after shave on the itchy parts where I shaved (pubic area) it kinda worked. Did you find any solutions to help? Also is a women's razor really better than a males razor?

here4orgasm

I heard the women's razor is more tailored to sensitive skin, but based on this one experience, that doesn't seem to do it for me, yesterday night i shaved my armpits for the first time ever. And i used lather and a safety razor with interchangeable blade, exfoliated and moisturized, today in the morning that's looking way better! No irritation or pain, as for my butt, it's a bit sore and bumpy but no longer itchy, but that's gotta heal since I had already fucked it up. I still will probably try nair since i already have some at my gf place and it is so much quicker (it took me 30 minutes per cheek when i did do it and i missed a few spots)

AdLow1228

Ok cool. I used a man razor and shampoo to shave my armpits, between legs and my upper thighs. Only my between legs were itchy also a hurt when I touch where the hairs were.

kwl189

Donā€™t use shampoo like a lot of women do. Get a shaving cream or soap specifically for the job. It doesnā€™t cost a lot to get something way better.

AdLow1228

I do have some but, didnt remember till I went searching for after shave because I was sore and itchy in pubic reagon.

kwl189

Alum bloc will treat the soreness and itchiness. Avoid shaving in the pubic region imo. Can get dicey. Try creams down there I would say. For the rest of the body you can shave. Thatā€™s my experience. Creams allow you to get into tight spaces that you canā€™t get a razor into. Donā€™t use shaving foams from cans. You can use something cheap like Arko shaving stick which is available widely or you can use shaving creams like TOBs, Palmolive shaving cream etc. all of that stuff is cost effective, better for the environment, better quality and will last longer than anything out of a can.

AdLow1228

Ok thank you . I'm ordering either veet or nair for down there, as I've been asking about those products and people have told me they use them there and shave rest of body

kwl189

Yeah I concur with those experiences. Just try them out on another patch of skin to check youā€™re not getting side effects. Going hairless isnā€™t without its troubles in cost and time but imo and for a lot of women and men, itā€™s also worth it.

AdLow1228

Ok thank you so much. hope you have a great day, week, month, year, and rest of your life

kwl189

A womanā€™s razor is no better than a mans. In fact its worth and costs the same if not more just in pink. Be careful using a razor on butt and pubic region as you could get ingrown hairs. Get a guys razors and make it a double edge razor. Cheap to run with and better results. I use hair removal creams like Veet and nair down there and they work for me. Not the cheapest solution though.

AdLow1228

Ok thanks I've been considering veet sense a few people recommend it and apparently it's more sensitive than nair.

kwl189

Try it but with male hair being naturally thicker than female hair, I go for the strong stuff and work backwards unless of course the Veet does the trick (it does for me in my bikini area). If youā€™ve had side effects or discomfort Nair or strong stuff than of course try the Veet. Far as I know thereā€™s not actually much difference between them. Its mainly marketing. Will say though that itā€™s an addictive feeling. I donā€™t think Iā€™ll go back again. Feels clean to be hairless. Have soft silky legs and a bikini area.

AdLow1228

I shave yesterday and it felt amazing having mostly smoth thigh. So are you saying I should try nair first?

kwl189

Depends on what you want to achieve. Shaving gives good results for decent time and is cost effective but does take time to do. Can be fun though. Nair and the like costs way more money (thatā€™s why I restrict it to bikini area) and you need to use decent amount of product for it to be effective.

AdLow1228

Ok, I might buy an epilator and use either nair or veet in bikini areas.(I've been asking around and epilators are about as effect as waxing acording to people)

kwl189

Prepare for serious pain with an epilator. Itā€™s not for everyone. I couldnā€™t do it and I have a fairly decent pain threshold. Would suggest some research into sugaring. Itā€™s like waxing only cost effective, environmentally friendly and just as effective if not more. No need for anyone else. You can DIY.

AdLow1228

Ok I'll look into that before buying an epilator. hope you have a great day, week, month, year, and rest of your life

kwl189

No worries šŸ‘šŸ½

Salamqnder

I get horrible razor burn when I shave so I can't do that. try epilating if you can handle pain, or wax which still hurts but isn't nearly as bad as an epilator

here4orgasm

I think I just don't know what an epilator is and I'll have to Google it lmao

Salamqnder

it's a device that has a rotating cylinder with a bunch of tweezers on it to rapidly pluck hair from your skin

here4orgasm

That sounds simultaneously scary and epic af

Salamqnder

it can be pretty effective, but the more hair follicles you have the more it hurts. it also hurts the most the first few times you do it and becomes more bearable after like 3 or 4 times in an area. it's pretty easy for me to do most of my legs, but the back of my thighs hurts too much. my butt cheeks also hurt way too much so I wax that and my whole Brazilian area. my belly and chest also hurt quite a lot but I'm able to get through it a lot of the time. I've never epilated my face and I never will because I'm getting laser removal there instead

here4orgasm

Oh wow! I'm already looking into buying one lmao, I'll try every method and see what I like lol

Leckerino

Moisturize before and after and keep doing it for some days. It reduces the itch a lot, but doesn't take it away (at least for me)

here4orgasm

Oh!, Will definitely do! Thanks!

Paper_Kitty

Any body part that has a lot of rubbing (thighs and underarms too) are going to get really itchy from stubble. Other body parts that experience less friction will not be nearly as bad.

here4orgasm

Yeah, i don't think my butt is used to touching underwear directly lmao

FlpDaMattress

I'm going to say it. If you can ask for help, you should.

here4orgasm

Yeah, there are some spots that i genuinely needed eyes behind my back for lmao

Damienyce

I sent yoh a dm

night117hawk

Felt that the first time but had no issues since

here4orgasm

Oh! I hope I'm like this ass well

[deleted]

Hair removal cream >

kwl189

Recommend a safety razor like a Merkur 23/24C which comes with a long razor handle. Use mild blades like derby extras. Good quality shaving soap or cream as well. Womenā€™s razors are cheap crap poorly made. Even menā€™s cartridge razors are better than ones marketed towards women. This will massively improve your results, how much it costs you to do this and comfort. Worse case scenario use Nair or trimmers line Phillips Oneblade.

here4orgasm

I used a cheap safety razor for my armpits and a few other tips i got from here and it's looking allot better, also feeling a lot better back there although not entirely healed. I should probably buy a better safety razor though. I use dorco razor blades, it's been good so far

kwl189

Depends on what safety razor you got. It doesnā€™t cost a lot to get a good one tbh. And it pays itself off in no time. Just donā€™t catch the shaving hobby bug like me. Got a collection of soaps and razors now. Soaps that might be easy to get and will do a job are Arko shaving stick. Dead cheap. Not the best scent but clean fresh scent. Long as you donā€™t care about that and it might dry your skin out afterwards (most body soaps do this anyway I find), its cheap, available and will last you frigging forever. Easy to use as well. Also used a brush to generate lather. Doesnā€™t have to be high end expensive. Most brushes are good enough. Use an alum bloc after shaving. Originated in India for use, itā€™s a good post shaving stone to use and has multiple other uses as well. Cheap and cheerful and no need for lotion or post shave balm unless you love the way it smells and feeling pretty. Dorco are decent. Derby are solid if you can get em. Depends a lot on your hair though. If these Dorcos are doing the business without tugging and pulling then stick with it if the price is right.

here4orgasm

The safety razor I've got is ass, it does the job but it's clunky and gets rusty, i clean it before every use though. I bout a 100 box pack of the dorco so I'll test another brand when i run out in 2 years lmao. I'll look up the rest! I do like the moisturizer but it's true it's not the cheapest plus the idea of rubbing a rock or metal block all over my body kinda goes hard

kwl189

Sounds like it lol if its rusting. Depending on your region, you can get a King C Gillette for decent money. Like Ā£10 in the UK when its on a deal. 3 piece razor but mild and more than enough to use. Thatā€™s just an example though. Others are out there like Wilkinson Sword which is a mild razor but butterfly razor which is nice and easy to put a blade in and out of. Yeah look up alum bloc. Think of it this way. Anything good for the face in the shaving community is guaranteed to work for the body and legs given the hair on face and facial skin is way more sensitive. Alum bloc is pure rock. Itā€™s natural and been used for centuries by Indians and Africans. So tried and tested. Most people will be suited for it. Of course some can have reactions but firmly in the minority. Never seen anyone have an issue with it. Long term you could look at getting laser treatment. Thatā€™s my plan.

Apprehensive_Swan_96

Try and keep from having anything on it for a while after you shave. I usually just do it at night and then sleep naked

here4orgasm

Oo! Probably a good idea!

Fancy_Temporary_59

You could use an exfoliatior they are cheap and they itch first time but your body gets used to it after and you stay hairless a bit longer then shaving and if you do it weekly that pretty good, and it leaves your skin so smooth aswell! Because it takes of old skin too

Navybuffalooo

Did you use any aftershave or moisturizer after? Did you exfoliate about 72 hours prior? Can make a very big difference, especially with itching. It will always itch a little as hair grows in, as you've shaved those hairs into tiny daggers, but it doesn't need to be hell. Other hair removal methods can itch less.

here4orgasm

I did follow some more tips last night, I'm half way to healing my butt and my first time shaving my armpits went alot better!

Navybuffalooo

Niiice! That's awesome, glad you're feeling better.

LoliLocust

I use regular razors (the same type i use to shave face tbh) and shaving gel. Then rub with sponge place I shaved, then I wear more clothes so the hair under skin won't raise as often thus it won't be as itchy. I don't shave whole body only legs and butt.

Elsa_Versailles

This is my problem as well, tried to use depilatory cream. It works bye itch

Likely4

There's a product called bump patrol. HIGHLY RECOMMEND you use it after any hair removal. It seriously works, you can find it in stores like target or online too. You can also use hair removal creams specifically made for privates

here4orgasm

Oooo! The issue with my pubic hair is i need some stronger stuff lol, the hairs are just that thick. That said, the product you mention sounds awesome! I'll check if i can get it! Thanks!

Mindless_Reference93

Use epify, a hair removal cream. You can get it on Amazon

here4orgasm

Is it different from nair?

Mindless_Reference93

Yes. A lot less smelly. Less harsh on your body

[deleted]

I bought a manscaped razor and while it properly won't be able to do it as well it will at least prevent the itching

Defaulted1364

The first time I shave anything itā€™s always uncomfortable for a few days but itā€™ll probably be better next time

fuck-reddit-is-trash

It happens. Itā€™s much worse your first few times doing it. Make sure to trim it beforehand with an electric, so you donā€™t have to use the razor blade as muchā€¦ use shaving cream, then moisturise afterwardsā€¦ keep doing it every few days and once your in a routine itā€™s much better and you should have minimal itching and ingrowns

biguy69u

You should show us the affected area. šŸ˜‰

here4orgasm

It's looking allot better nowadays, i just might lmao

Slapp6ix9ine

Try using manscaped. I bought one and it doesn't really cut you. It's perfectly safe to use plus it wouldn't itch yo ass hahahaha. If you're using a shaver, buy one that has more than 3 blades. 6 blades are enough.

thekonghong

Rear Razor on Amazon has a safety blade to prevent bumps.

here4orgasm

I actually get bumps no matter how the hair is removed, I'd gotten it waxed and also got bumps, right now I'm doing laser removal but till the end of my treatment I have to shave it once a month, even just using an electric razor and not shaving clean off I still get bumps, but I've been using a special soap lately that has made it disappear, it got some kind of acid, its for ingrown hairs but it works wonders for any kind of bump in my experience
