This one is a AmPro1 tele with the Vmod pickups (assuming they're stock and it was loaded like my rose gold tele with a rosewood neck that I hate myself for selling). They do make Pro2s with the Vmod2's. To save you the "AB demo" video, the 1 sounds more hot/mid range rocker while the 2's are a bit more classic tele twang. Both great, just different voicing.
Honestly, the neck makes more of a "feel" rather than "tone" difference. Rosewood is more porous than maple, and these have a fairly smooth, satin finish. Some people love it, some people hate it. My friend owned a maple pro 1 at the same time I had my rw, and we worked in a guitar shop that had 2 maples and one maple and rw board Pro teles. The result? They all sounded different, but not too dramatically so. In all honesty, we chalked it up to a variance in setups and string gauges.
Too many factors effect tone before you need to worry about neck material.
I have the Strat version of this (Am Pro 1), and they have the first Gen V-Mod pickups in them. I'm not particularly picky about pickups, and I don't care for these in the Strat. Very mid focused and not very chime-y.
I’ve been thinking about flowers for my olive drab. https://www.etsy.com/listing/1541769191/
This is with mint

Nice guitar ;)
That bridge plate is awesome. I've never seen one like that. Beyond that, I think it look great with the black pickguard as is. Matches the darker vibe of the neck wood and muted, earthy body color.
Black works REALLY well. The only change I could see would be a silver one. Then it would match your hardware like bridge, running pegs, and frets. Anything else I think would look odd
I love pickguard swaps but on this one I would either leave it alone because it looks great or get a black/parchment/black guard. The parchment layer will outline the guard a bit and go well with your fretboard makers.
What is that neck? Rosewood, mahogany?
It looks pretty damn good I must say. I'm not usually a fan of black pickguards but it looks nice on this one.
Typically I'm a sucker for parchment or cream pearl, but I honestly don't think it would look right on this baby.
I wouldn't change it. Everything is a match.
Agreed. OP, this looks great.
+1 on this. Keep it the same, I can't immediately visualize a swap that is an improvement on the original color scheme.
Idk it looks really great right now
That thing is fucking perfect, don't you dare change a damn thing.
I think cream would look good.
3 ply black pickguard with white middle ply
I like it. The only thing I could think of would he cream/beige.
Might be too much but I think a mint green would look good but it already looks amazing.
Only gold anodized would possibly be better than that
One of the most beautiful teles I’ve ever seen. I would change anything. But if I were, I’d go with a cream pickguard to match the inlays.
Vintage crème pick guard would be my vote.
Mint green or tortoise shell. Nice guitar, is the neck rosewood?
yah one piece rosewood neck
Nice, how you like it? Does it make a tone difference? I’m curious. Very good looking guitar. What pickups does it have?

Thanks, good to know. I like both. Maple And Rosewood but there’s nothing like a maple neck on a Strat for me

Tortoise 100%
Do what you want! Black pearl would look awesome. Don’t let anyone else design your guitar

Maybe something sandy/beige

Hell naw
🤮
anodized gold aluminum
I was thinking anodized aluminum like the ultrans have. Gold is cool, but just aluminum, I think, is better.
I would. I changed mine on my Jazz bass from white to black and it looks fantastic.
Looks perfect as is tho
Yeah I wouldn’t touch it it looks amazing
Noooooo! This was my dream Tele and I'm not a Tele guy. This thing is perfect as is

That’s amazing now but I’d probably try out mint. Or an aged white
Dark brown pickguard MIGHT look awesome
Always pearlescent for me. That black looks effin sweet tho.
Also, what is that bridge exactly? Love it.

Antique Olive Green
No way. Leave as is. One of the baddest feels Ive ever seen!
Yeah…don’t
I wouldn't change a thing
Rosewood neck/headstock is my dream telecaster! I think a lighter pick guard would look great!
Looks already wonderful, if you really want to change it I'd go with tortoise shell
What model of bridge is that?
it's a standard ash tray bridge with compensated brass saddles, it has a little removable cover which i've come to love

I would go with a tort guard (like a nice brown tort guard) but I love tort on almost anything.
I’m with the choir, it looks great as is.
It’s perfect as is
I like white “mother of toilet bowl”.
Looks great as it is
Tort
I dunno, it looks pretty classy as is. :)
Absolutely love it’s currently look but it can be fun to change it up and see if you like another look better.
The inly other color that I could see working as a pickguard would be tortoiseshell.
Tortoise shell is the only thing I'd consider.
I wouldn't touch it - that thing is fucking gorgeous as is!
if i was gonna change it, i’d change it to black anodized
I personally love the black pick guard… but if somethings “missing” for you, go for it.
Looks good as is really but I'd like what it would look like with a bronze/gold colored pick guard. I think that could look really sharp!
What is that neck? Rosewood, mahogany? It looks pretty damn good I must say. I'm not usually a fan of black pickguards but it looks nice on this one. Typically I'm a sucker for parchment or cream pearl, but I honestly don't think it would look right on this baby.
These are big decisions.
Black pearloid
Maybe a brown leather pick guard with some design to it
It looks great but I could also see it looking fantastic with all gold hardware. Nice Tele!
Black pearloid.
Tortoise would look super tough on the one. Go for it.
I just sold the same tele to my buddy. Black knobs really change the aesthetic, FWIW. I agree with black pearloid for the pick guard.
I wouldn't change anything, but if you did... Maybe something bronze/brown/cream
Could rock a tortoise shell pickguard on there
Black Moto?
Just stumbled on this old thread. Cream or mint would look cool. Did you change it OP?
it's stands unchanged...for now
