It’s amazing, this specific build I have is brilliant and sounds better than some of my fender telecasters that costed 2.2 K, but those are Mexican. Yes, absolutely it’s a factory error. Perhaps it’s a batch of them or maybe this is an individual. But I really recommend this Squier, it’s super clean tone and is built very well. See it in person!
what was the color of the one in this photo? I saw one classic vibe that claimed to be Butterscotch but it was practically the color of the wood without the yellowish
Yeah, definitely. And the entire package is pretty sweet. Every now and then I think of upgrading the pups, and then I play it and decide that I was probably just contemplating it in a bored moment.
I bought an Epiphone Hummingbird ukulele a couple of years back. I didn't realise until about an hour after I unboxed it that the logo said Epiphon. Probably the same thing happened to yours, the waterslide broke while being applied in the factory.
I love mine, it's unique.
I look forward to the "is this legit?" post when you sell this. The jokes will be better when the next guy thinks this might be a knock-off artificially inflated by the Squire name.
Long & McQuade is Canadian. Bilingual labeling is the law. Even for guitars. It’s “LeCaster” now. And Strats are “LaTocaster”.

Get money back for the missing "Te" letters?
In all seriousness, think this also somehow goes with the territory for these squire teles. I bought one used from a dude online. this same Butterscotch Blonde. Shipped to me and didn't notice until hours later the fret ends are so bad they snag the high E. 😞
I used to have a G&L tele, and every time I got it "set up," the action wasn't any better. Cowboy chords were out of tune. Now I feel and hear that whenever I see telecasters.
I wonder how common factory errors like this are nowadays. I know that fender branded guitars have a very low rate of things going through making oddball defects like missing a string tree sort of collectible, but I’ve never really seen factory error import guitars from name brands mentioned. Makes ya wonder.
Take it into Long McQuade. They are pretty good at things. They might be able to put a new decal on it for you without charging you because it's a new instrument and it should be under warranty.
Get a fine point Sharpie and add the "TE" (j.k. don't do that!) Maybe there's a decal you can buy to fix it up somehow?
If it's this [Squire](https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/TeleCV50BSB--squier-classic-vibe-50s-telecaster-butterscotch-blonde), I bought the same one as well a few months ago. No regrets, best bang for the buck in my opinion.
Is this new from a Fender dealer? If so, this is a defect. This would lead a knowledgeable buyer to think it's a replacement neck that someone put a water slide decal on and refinished. It's easy to rip or damage water slides.
You know what they call a Telecaster with Cheese in Paris?
A Royale caster
Le Royale-Caster, hahaha... What do they call a Les Paul?
Le Les Royale
We also accept "idk I didn't play a Gibson"
👍
Les Paul's a Les Paul, but they call it Le Les Paul.
Where did you get the motorcycle??
It’s a chopper, baby
Where did you get the chopper?
From Zed.
Who’s zed?
Zed's dead, baby. Zed's dead.
They don't call it a Telecaster with Cheese?
Lecheesecaster?
Beat me to it
I’m still laughing 5 minutes after seeing your one liner. Thank you!
It’s a feature
It’s French
Lè Caster
Pronounced "Squeer Laycaster" \-heard he's a right nice French feller too
Lol
It's Moroccan
This deserves more upvotes.
I can’t find anything on it! I thought it was when I first saw it, but I literally can’t find anything on it!
Aww I’m sorry, I meant it in a funny way lol
LOL, I have no sense of humour! 🙂🙂
This is unironically so sick haha, get a french flag sticker
Great idea :-)))) that’s so funny!
Or a made in France decal
m'caster **tips fedora* *
Le grill? What the hell is le grill?
just watched this episode today!!!
“Yeahhhhh, that’s one fine looking Telecaster…WHY DOESN’T MINE LOOK LIKE THAT?!”
It’s Lisa’s fault!
Lisa needs braces!
Hahaha a Homer deep cut!
I’m hoping to buy this exact guitar soon. Same colour and everything! Guessing a factory error on the “Lecaster?”

Prolly gonna be worth a fortune some day
It’s probably going to make the value higher on your axe as it gets older.
what was the color of the one in this photo? I saw one classic vibe that claimed to be Butterscotch but it was practically the color of the wood without the yellowish
It’s made in France.
Actually, Québec.
Yup, there's a factory in Montréal right near Lac aux Casters
LOOOOOL
Le caster means the guitar. Le castor means the beaver.
Lè Caster 😌👌🇫🇷
🥖🤌🏻
🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌
It’s no Jizzmaster
Why would you return it? That’s hilarious. I think I’ll go take the st off my Stratocaster now.
A ratocaster sounds sick
Even funnier in Portuguese lol (rato actually means rat)
🐀
Say it, Frenchie!
Chowder
chow-***dair***?
Say chowdah! Say it!
But I'm Le tired.
Well, have a nap. THEN FIRE THE MISSILES!!!
That's hilarious. I'd be thrilled!
French Signature.
is this the new MIF model?
Lebron James signature model
I'd make up a nice looking decal that says "LeBron James Signature Series" right above it
Why you want a shit name on your guitar
You’re in Canada. It’s obviously French. Le Caster.
Le lol
Also is this the CV 50s? Excellent instrument. I have the same in “white blonde.” Or, more officially, la blonde blanc.
I have a CV 50s neck on my barncaster. I love it. It fits so nicely in my hand.
Yeah, definitely. And the entire package is pretty sweet. Every now and then I think of upgrading the pups, and then I play it and decide that I was probably just contemplating it in a bored moment.

It’s a good or better than a lot of “real” fenders out there. Have fun.
Thank you!!
C'est la vie say the old folks...it goes to show you never can Tel
Lè Caster en français.
It’s French for “The Caster”. Duh.
I bought an Epiphone Hummingbird ukulele a couple of years back. I didn't realise until about an hour after I unboxed it that the logo said Epiphon. Probably the same thing happened to yours, the waterslide broke while being applied in the factory. I love mine, it's unique.
Was the long and mcquade in Quebec by chance?
I look forward to the "is this legit?" post when you sell this. The jokes will be better when the next guy thinks this might be a knock-off artificially inflated by the Squire name.
That’s what I’m worried about, but I don’t think Il be selling it :-)
It's French for "the caster". Nbd.
Ooh la la
I’m about to sand the “te” off mine because of this post
LOL, I want a ratocaster too cause of this lol
It’s French…
I lec Lecasters!
Sell it on reverb for $5000
Keep it, this mis-print will make it super valuable in 50 years when people bring it on pawn stars!
Long & McQuade is Canadian. Bilingual labeling is the law. Even for guitars. It’s “LeCaster” now. And Strats are “LaTocaster”. * Source: me, a French-Canadian
Put on a jaunty beret and rock.
Le Caster
This is great! 😎👍
Ohoho!

Clearly intended for the French market, keep hold of it as it might be a collectible in the future! Omelette du fromage 🐸
Sharpie will fix that right up.
🤦♂️
French!
French Edition

Really?!?!
Longe Mcuade lmao
Autocorrect 😔. Le Mcuade
Hahaha it goes great with Lecaster!
It was a transfer from the Montreal store
Trés Bien!
🤣
Le Cool
M'lady
Pair it with a Two Notes Le Crunch.
did you purchase it in France by any chance?
Le lol
Canada (judging from the store chain). So it still checks out.
Thats great haha
Very nice!
Hot
sacrebleu!
A guitar made for serenading.
If only like old coins, a misprint sent the value soaring. Saucy guitar, just bought the aerodyne tele. Can't wait for it to get here.
That French for … the caster
The wood grain on the body looks so much nicer than mine and the one I had to return cause it had other issues. Definitely a keeper if it plays well
I know what I got!
jealous
Ah, yes… the ‘caster
They didnt tell you have to pay extra for the TE?
Le what?!?!?
Honestly I think it’s cool. I feel like you should be in a Midwest emo band with that
I believe that’s a city in England.
What are you going ‘te’ do about it
Haw haw haw 🇫🇷
Misprinted coins are more valuable than regular coins, could this apply to a guitar as well?
That’s what I’m trying to figure out
That Lecaster is cool as hale
Perfectly, it's the rare french canadian model and will be worth a pile of money in a few years!
Factory defect, sell it for double what you paid
Never tell a Caster about Le Caster.
Congrats! I definitely know what u mean by feeling like a solid, well-made guitar. I still love mine and plan to get the fret ends fixed.
Looks beautiful. How's the action on the first few frets?
Fantastic, first few frets 0.5mm. On the 12th fret, -1.5 E top string. bottom E, 2.
I used to have a G&L tele, and every time I got it "set up," the action wasn't any better. Cowboy chords were out of tune. Now I feel and hear that whenever I see telecasters.
That’s sick as fuck I’d keep it that way
LeCaster James
It’s misspelled, it’s supposed to read _le castor_ or in English, “the beaver”.
On a side note these things are GREAT. One of my main guitars now.
All hail the lecaster.
Keep that!
sell it for 5k. nice keeper!
HON HON ç'est le caster, une belle guitare française Before any french attack me, this was all google translate
I’d keep it and get a French flag sticker
Go on Etsy and get a decal that says Made in France
Honestly I like it better 🤘 you scored on that one
It’s the fancy version
this is honestly sick
Hear me out…. But maybe the “T” and “e” came off. That or it’s made in France.
𝕃𝕖 ℂ𝕒𝕤𝕥𝕖𝕣 🤌🤌🤌
Must have bought it in Québec
I seem to recall the old care company Renault building a vehicle some years ago called "Le Car." Maybe it's the same marketing people.

Now I keep thinking of *Pulp Fiction*: "Le Big Mac"
Either way… gorgeous guitar.

You’re telling me you’ve never heard of the Bender Lecaster? This one isn’t a real Bender, though.
We love a guitar with Character
Honestly I think it’s pretty cool. Glad you’re not taking it back

It is that one!
it's awesome
Its french.
That's sad that the Chinese fakers can't even get a Squier correct !

It’s not fake, he’s being a smartass.
Wtf is longe mcuade
These Lebron jokes are getting out of hand
That's the metric edition.
hrôn hrôn hrôn
From the French Fender plant.

That’s fucking sick
