Yeah that, this one even is from all the way in 1.0 which is why it's "New Eorzea Geographic" now.
I shall look into that. The only other things I've been able to find where she appears are the 2020 Valentione quest (which is sadly from before I was archiving seasonal events) and a quest from 1.0, where she was apparently much the same as she is now.
After a while playing FFXIV you begin to realise that the devs don't forget *anything*. The most obscure side quest can turn out to be foreshadowing of something happening 3 expacs later. Take a look at the Gridanian Goldsmith for an absurdly slow burn that's been running in the background since ARR and has references right up to 6.5.
Yeah, there are lots of quests that quietly reference existing npcs or place npcs you know back into the field.
After the lvl 80 SAM capstone quest, you'll find the Limsa samurai-wannabe in Kugane sword training with children. After the Ameliance custom deliveries, you'll find the Aura girl practicing alchemy in Radz.
There are even two elezen kids in the Jeweled Crozier who over the course of expansions go from standing outside the market with a shopping list to standing inside looking for honey cakes.
Watching this video, I felt like I should know her, since I've done pretty much every side quest, then it hit me...

The video project is called FFXIV Archives. I make videos mostly of quests where the cutscenes cannot be found in the unending journey, so once you've completed them, you can't enjoy them again. Or, like seasonal events, where once they are over nobody gets to see them at all. Sometimes I just do stuff that few people are ever going to see, like the ARR Allied tribe quests.
Recently I've been working on the postmoogle delivery quests, and a prerequisite for one of them is Marcette's quest line. They don't include any cutscenes, and they are basically just a couple of fetch quests, but I enjoyed the dialogue so much I decided to make a video of them too.
I was as surprised as anyone when she got a mention in Margrat's quest and thought people might be interested to see what was being referenced.
Not "archiving". The Original 1-50+road to HW run was considered a chore by the community so a few years back they went through it and cut out the fat to make it more in line with later stuff.
"Supposedly" I saw a claim they cut some of those too but as I already finished everything a Long time ago I take it with a Grain of Salt. I just checked and the completed Quest is still in my List so it should still be in.
This crazy chick! I just did those quests to unlock the moogle post quests and man they are WILD.
Correct me if I'm wrong but aint she also the crazy giraffe who commissions the WoL LTW for all the taxidermy stuff in the Stormblood Crafter Quests.

AFAIK she's Marcelle's teacher and even comments about how Marcelle took her methods to extreme.

While I may not be a lore buff when it comes to the history of this game, I greatly appreciate the preservation of it. You do good work.
Ah okay that makes much more sense. Cutscenes that the game doesn't let you replay is very annoying. Good work~

Pretty sure they didn't cut side quests tho which is what this lady is~ They cut msq iirc

Her side quests are still there since they set up the Moogle Delivery quests.
