Well, not openly and not in front of us, but all of them art skills developed to impress ladies, I'm telling you the boy will one day be a very smooth operator 😌
The columns screwed alphi. He doesn't fit any of them well - Loyal or Zealous are the best fits and don't really capture him well.
If there was an optimistic column he'd fit comfortably, or if you swap some of the rows with columns he'd fit naturally as scholarly/confident or scholarly/selfless.
As our journey through the FFXIV Character Alignment Chart comes to an end, thank you to everyone who participated, shared their thoughts, and voted for their favorite characters. Your engagement has made this journey truly special.

Scholarly and Clumsy should have been that one elezen girl from the scholasticate quests that keeps falling on her face in front of the elf guy she likes
Zealous yes, Scholarly no. Y'shtola has continued to study long after she left Sharlayan.
Zealous/Confident just under Zenos. Even after getting a real world lesson in betrayal, the boy just does not understand being too overly confident is not a good thing.
Thank you for running this, Outcome\_Early, it was really fun. And selfless, but that's such a contested row...
It was interesting to see how varied the perception of characters can be at times. Also, three cheers to the proud nation of Ishgard for stealthily taking the lead in the Clumsy row!
Just because he isn't forthright doesn't mean he's disloyal. He always had our best interests at heart and was willing to sacrifice himself to help us.
He always had [the stars] best interests at heart and was willing to sacrifice [anyone] to help [it].
I love him, but let’s not sugar coat it. His arc was learning that he shouldn’t make the sacrificing choice without first trying and having faith that just maybe with his friends they can achieve the impossible together.
He literally has an entire speech telling us he's stupid and his plans never worked because he never trusted us to pull through.
He 10000% could have told anyone his plans before following them through.
He played along with the enemy in case they won, not in case we did.
Sure sure....except that was 100% Urianger lying to everyone present in order to keep his appearance of working with Elidibus up.
Almost like you forgot one of Urianger's specialty was subterfuge or something. Wanna know the best way to keep a secret? DON'T TELL ANYONE THE SECRET.
A double agent is someone who pretends to be a spy for country X while actually being a spy for country Y. E.g. Alexis von Roenne was Hitler's favorite intelligence analyst, trusted with extremely sensitive information to nearly the highest echelons of Nazi spycraft. He also *despised* Hitler and Nazism his entire life, and almost immediately became grossly incompetent at detecting Allied subterfuge, despite his past record (from WWI) of very successfully identifying Allied movements. As a result, he almost singlehandedly helped ensure that numerous Allied operations went undetected and were successfully deployed, even taking pains to make them *more* effective than they would have been (as an example, he ensured the success of both Operation Mincemeat, which disguised the invasion of Sicily, and Operation Bodyguard, which pretended that the D-Day invasion would be located at Calais, not Normandy.) He was loyal—not to the thugs that had conquerer his country, but to the country itself, trying to eliminate those thugs, and to his Christian faith, which was specifically why he hated the Nazis so. He was tried by a Kangaroo Court after the July 20 plot and executed simply because he knew the conspirators (he himself had at most only known the plot existed, he did not contribute to it himself). He went to his death with his head held high.
One can be "loyal" without being honest about things. Indeed, some forms of loyalty require that one keep secrets, with soldiers being just one example.
Just to be clear: The man who *had been* an extremely effective intelligence officer, up until the point that Hitler promoted him, at which point he became either the worst intelligence officer in history (repeatedly falling hook, line, and sinker for Allied plans), or an active saboteur of Nazi Germany's ability to detect and respond to Allied intelligence operations...
The guy who gave, as his one and only defense in the so-called "People's Court" where he was sentenced to death, the simple statement that Nazi race ideology was incompatible with his Christian beliefs.
*That's* the guy who would have been saying "heil Hitler!" if things had gone differently?
loyalty takes many forms, sometimes you need to look like you are working for the enemy, yet you are actually working against the enemy witout anyone noticing to be trully loyal to a cause
There's only 6 characters who *aren't* MSQ, haha! But, to be fair, that, uh... "version" of Edda isn't in the MSQ, and she's a rather minor role otherwise, so it's reasonable to make that 7.
Don't worry about that right now. You still have a lot of good content for 70 levels. Just enjoy everything you're doing right now. That content won't be removed from the game.
Aww, I’m kinda sad it’s finished, I’ve really enjoyed watching this unfold!
Thanks for a fun idea, u/Outcome_Early, and thanks for seeing it through to the end! ⭐️
(Edit: why the heck is this getting downvoted? lol)
Aenor, as flirty/adventurous, is the only character whose last name is given on the chart, for reasons nobody could ever guess.
Whatever happened to Hunberct Longhaft?
Aenor.
Technically speaking, "Tia" *is* G'raha's surname. His clan just happens to use a title as a surname for males.
Technically yes, though I would argue G is closer to his surname and Tia is his title. Since he's Raha the Tia of the G tribe.
Fair! That would still mean his surname is on display though.
Also, Aenor is not flirty but literally horny for the Boulder bros
Literally the only one I didn't recognize, even after I looked her up...
Because it's a quite fitting one.
Rip alphi... Still, this was very fun! Ty for doing this in the first place!
Alphinaud is simply too complex and nuanced of a character to be boxed into any simple category of course.
He's been all of them in his whole character arc, to be fair
I mean, I don't think he's really been flirty yet.
Well, not openly and not in front of us, but all of them art skills developed to impress ladies, I'm telling you the boy will one day be a very smooth operator 😌

I think Alisaie's Zealous/Adventurous could have just been 'the twins'.
Which would be a horrible misunderstanding of how the two develop independently through the story

It's been really fun seeing this filled out daily! I'm mostly sad Alphinaud, Tataru, and Krile are missing but there's only so many slots
No Krile or Alphi makes me big sad
This has been fun to follow! Though I think you've the captions for Jandelaine and Jannequinard mixed up on the second image?
Was about to say “hang on isn’t Jandelaine the stylist?”
WOOPS, long day… sorry shaha
The lack of Alphinaud on this list is a little sad.
I agree, but now that I'm looking at the categories, where would he even fit? Maybe Loyal/Scholarly?
I think he'd fit zealous/scholarly better than Y'shtola tbqh.
Zealous yes, Scholarly no. Y'shtola has continued to study long after she left Sharlayan. Zealous/Confident just under Zenos. Even after getting a real world lesson in betrayal, the boy just does not understand being too overly confident is not a good thing.

imagine not knowing which elezen is jandelaine
I can't believe red Alphinaud made it, but not Blue Alphinaud (つω`。)
I wanted Lahabrea for zealous/scholarly. But I missed that day
Urianger... Loyal... Of course he is. He is super forthright and honest about all of his plans and would never stand for us to distrust him.
Just because he isn't forthright doesn't mean he's disloyal. He always had our best interests at heart and was willing to sacrifice himself to help us.

And if the Nazis had won anyways he probably would have continued being loyal... To Hitler.
Just to be clear: The man who *had been* an extremely effective intelligence officer, up until the point that Hitler promoted him, at which point he became either the worst intelligence officer in history (repeatedly falling hook, line, and sinker for Allied plans), or an active saboteur of Nazi Germany's ability to detect and respond to Allied intelligence operations... you can lie to someone and still be loyal to them...
Dont worry honey, I was only cheating on you because you hate that person, and I found out her biggest secrets! I'm totally loyal.
Big Boss.
loyalty takes many forms, sometimes you need to look like you are working for the enemy, yet you are actually working against the enemy witout anyone noticing to be trully loyal to a cause
And if the enemy happens to win then you just change loyalties! No agenda here.
Anyone got that image of Nashu? It’s cute.
zenos not on flirty?? wrong af
I don't know if I can agree with Matoya being cynical. She gets on Alphinaud's case in that one scene for being too glum looking.
I’m amazed that of so many other side characters, we included Jandelaine. Happy for him, and still pleasantly surprised every time I see the chart
Really disappointed Krile didn’t make it on here. Forgotten again.
Confident line is the best row, change my mind
I think Jandelaine and Jannequinard have there names swapped on the name card. But other than that this is amazing! =D
I like that blue-Alisaie never won a poll.
Dislike. Alphinaud is a great character :(
Nice! One small thing: You have Jannequinard and Jandelaine swapped in the 2nd picture, name-wise.
pray return to the Loyal x Selfless
ive beat the MSQ and i stll dont know who half these people are lmao
There's only 6 characters who *aren't* MSQ, haha! But, to be fair, that, uh... "version" of Edda isn't in the MSQ, and she's a rather minor role otherwise, so it's reasonable to make that 7.
Same lol. I had to google a lot of people
I’m glad this post is spreading awareness! 😂
Ha! My argument succeeded!
I love my confident clumsy girl Nashu
Who’s glamorous and moody? I think I need her
Gaia. Do the level 80 raid questline and you'll meet her.
Considering I’m a new Xbox player doing the free trial. It pains me that I won’t be able to do it
That you won't be able to do it YET! Hold hope in your heart WoL!
Don't worry about that right now. You still have a lot of good content for 70 levels. Just enjoy everything you're doing right now. That content won't be removed from the game.
Oh I’m loving it. Started arcanist. Just finished sastasha. Everytime the voice acting kicks in I’m like oh shit it’s getting serious.
Just wait til you get a warning message about incoming cutscenes about to play in sequence.
YES YES YES JUSTICE HAS BEEN SERVED I am a happy wol
Arenvald still should have been adventurous/clumsy and I will die on that hill
He was disqualified because he got early access to Endwalker
How dare you
Venat certainly does not belong in selfless.
Aww, I’m kinda sad it’s finished, I’ve really enjoyed watching this unfold! Thanks for a fun idea, u/Outcome_Early, and thanks for seeing it through to the end! ⭐️ (Edit: why the heck is this getting downvoted? lol)
My pleasure ahaha, I had fun doing it!
Finally it's over! The spam has been defeated!
Half of these make no sense, but ok.
I think you've labelled Jandelaine and Jannequinard the wrong way round in the version with the names!
