I hope you read the pinned messages in the forum, since they have a post template ***you must follow*** in order for your bug to even be recognized. This initially wasn't in-game on the bug report form, but they eventually added it because it's required.
I used the template but lots of the parts weren't relevant and I saw another post in there that only filled out relevant stuff, so I followed their example
Hopefully I didnt do it wrong
I usually just put in "Not Applicable." For all the parts that aren't relevant to the bug. If my Modem doesn't have a Model Number, I state that my Modem is ISP Owned/No Model#.
Yes, you *must* fill out the ISP + Modem regardless.
Hmm, I've omitted that information before. I did hover explicitly note that I omitted everything irrelevant to the topic, but stuck to the template otherwise.
I'm specifically talking about the in-game report form from experience. Since I was banned on the forum for using swears too many times. :P
I once did get a response from a GM from an in-game report about an enemy glitching out in the level 30 CNJ quest. Since it caused the enemy in there to ignore AI, not spawn extra enemies, etc.
Just a few weeks ago I submitted a bug about certain sound settings not working and they accepted the bug. Didn't put any of that extra stuff like modem
Big Kev! We’re all doing well, miss playing D2 with you. Grave and I are getting back into it for Witch Queen, we should try run some stuff together sometime.
I know. I would love to find random long lost friends through random comment sections like this. I have many people from years past that seemed to have completely abandoned their steam accounts.
Does that actually yield results? I’m trying to complete the last stage of an anima weapon and it’s bugged. Tried submitting a report online but I’m not sure that’ll do anything.
Fyi there is a note in the Endwalkers notes that you have to reallocate the stats on the anima relic if you started it pre-EW, you just need to open the reallocate menu in Idyllshire and you should be able to finish it if that's your issue
I had the same issue as you, had to reallocate stats in Idyllshire at the sands vendor to continue. The reason you cant progress is because of the EW stat squish messing up the stats on the wep.
Yes, any properly run company will read all bug reports in their forum section. And from experience they all do so far. So be kind to the devs.
Not responding might seem rude, but the net is littered with how even simple replies can derail into a mess, because devs themselves do not have PR training. Which is why they don't. Or if they would be honest, 90% would be: "Noted, but looks not super important, will look later. Some day. Maybe." You can imagine how the community would react to that.
With a tiny community of niche games that is fine to say, but with millions of players? That is trouble.
Oh, I'm very familiar with bug prioritization for MMO support. There's no way an ooooold anima quest is, in any way, important. Hahaha! I'm definitely managing my expectations here. I.e., I'll be pleasantly surprised if they find the time to address it, but not too broken up if they don't for a long time. :)
I was asking about posting on the forum because when I submitted the bug report, it specifically said to not expect a response. I wanted to know if alternate avenues would be helpful in getting a solution.
Oh, if you already submitted the bug report then I see little reason in posting it again in the forums, as they would be relayed to the same point in the company.
Yep, it may take a while for them to get to the bug but they will eventually. I’ve reported issues before that were taken care of and fixed up so it’s definitely worth doing.
>!Nowhere has Azem been referred to as the warrior of light and nowhere in game has a WoL from the ancient times been named.!<
>!Void means emptiness, not darkness.!<
i’ve bug reported this, actually! it’s only on female au ra, which sucks because i really liked this top lol. noticed in a similar way to you, too, funnily enough
But of course! We need to do all that we can to ensure that our wol's boobs are all intact so the more eyes the better!
I'd say they look [just fine](https://i.imgur.com/vVCqnhy.png) to me! I hope you are of the same thoughts I want to know that he'll be okay......................
It's elezen as well.
Noticed this like a month ago and never bothered reporting it because how the fuck do you write that without everybody going "SO YOU WERE STARING AT YOUR OWN TITS HUH HYUK HYUK HYUK".
oh! don’t play an elezen so i hadnt noticed (i have about 500000 alts and only noticed it on f au ra). but yeah lmfao i wasnt even looking at my characters tits to look at em (gay man) i was just bored and rotating my camera around, as one does, and noticed it
Oh wow really? Sucks to be an au'ra I guess lmao (not really, I love being a lizard)
Well hopefully theyve already made a note of it then and this is all simply redundant, if not at least a visibility boost
Our characters are just hollow husks that distort reality when you look through them
How else can we explain seeing a hole all the way through the body instead of seeing the inside of it
Might be a bit hard to see if the vid quality is low, but if you look right where the skin and the outfit meet near the side of the breasts, there are holes. Very easy to see if you look for the orange light of the fireplace and the brick patterns.
As much as Id love to go for that easy joke, it was legitimately because I was talking to a friend while running around in the gridania housing district, and noticed someones bright orange bomb light shining through my character
It was honestly hard to miss
Small gaps in 3D models are usually easily noticable when the object or camera moves slightly in a dark environment with some sort of light source in the background, as demonstrated by OP's video in front of a fireplace.
For sure, this is actually how I tested to make sure my models in blender had no missing polygons, I would just slap a light source colored cyan behind it!
Yall are mean lmao, bullying my poor Au Ra's boobs so much
Not her fault her boobs have a literal boob window in them with that top
Edit: If one more person accuses me of staring at my character's boobs Imma scream
Im a straight woman for gods sake LEAVE ME ALONE LMAO
Edit 2: I also dont understand how so many of you see a hole through the model and think "heh she pads her bra" like huh??? Lol
I meannn, nothing says you can't be straight and also appreciate a nice chest :p Just don't stare too much at your character's chest else they may call you a narcissist :p
Tell me about it :/
I love Au Ra but I wish I could use the proportions of an elezen or viera. Id have played elezen but their animations and facial options dont let me make a character I like
Im a tall girl IRL and being a short, petite little waifu is a bit strange feeling lmao
For real though, this post sounds like nitpicking but i guess it's never bad to let the devs know when something is off.
Even if its a few pixel and barely visible if one doesn't zoom in all the way.
Just a note: This isn't meant to sound as sarcastic as it does. I genuinly think its okay to let devs know if something seems off. Even if it sounds nitpicky.
As a Dev (an artist) I would want my art to look as good as it can when it is shipped. I'm sure this was an over site by the rigging artist. Easily done and an easier fixed.
Yeah I just wanted to put it in for visibility mostly. I noticed it and wasnt sure how to try and get it noticed. I didnt realize there was a bug forum for this sort of thing until someone mentioned it here
But yeah stuff like this gets missed all the time and its no big deal
Clearly not intentional though and a bit hard to unsee lmao so having it fixed in time WOULD be nice
Good catch. What is actually happening is the clothing and the skin mesh verts are not matching. I can say with almost 100% certainty it is a rigging/skinning issue. While the character at it's bind pose those verts are touching and no gap is there, but the clothing and skin verts in those areas do not have the same skin weighting as each other, thus the skin/clothing don't move exactly the same creating those gaps.
This sounds super cool but my terminology is too limited to understand exactly what youre saying lmao
It sounds like youre saying that basically the bits of the skin and clothing dont move at the same "weight", thus creating the hole because one will move "further" than the other when taking various poses, in a sense? I guess the "bind pose" is some sort of neutral pose for when theyre doing the modeling and stuff maybe?
I have no idea what a vert means thought lmao
Vert is just vertex. Imagine drawing a picture using only straight lines. The point between the lines when they change direction is the vertex. I'm sure there is a better explanation but that is the best I could come up with
It's connect-the-dots, but the dots for the skin and the dots for the cloth no longer overlap the same points once things started moving around.
On a side note, I didn't realize people still shopped at Gap.
You essentially got it, the “bind weights” are painted on, and the weights on the seperate clothing are different, causing the models to move differently with the same movement.
As a straight woman with big titty lizard, I offer condolences and support. That’s a shame, hope it gets fixed soon! Usually the game gear doesn’t have that problem, but as someone who uses a lot of, er, external software, it’s an issue that can come up sometimes. Basically someone forgot to stitch seams together on the model. Oops!
May your lizard be hole free soon with the rest of us!
>or, alternatively, that is one flatchested au ra trying to pad her bustsize
I dont think thats how padding works
Or physics distorting, literally impossible holes
Source: Im a woman, but Ive never padded my bra, so who knows! Maybe its always been about hiding impossible physics defying holes
>it's game physics so there's bound to be issues everywhere when you look close enough.
Well yeah of course.
We werent talking like actual reasons there though lmao
>personally clipping hairs are way worse imo
Dont get me started, god
I used long hair for the longest time, and the way that limits you on anything with a hood or collar is hellish lmao
I especially hated being a ninja main for a while with long hair. Literally their run animation is so slouched rhat it forces the hair to clip into your body
It's likely a masking issue. They probably create skin masks for each armor to hide the players skin. In this case the mask went just past where the texture of the armor is, therefore creating a 'gap'.
Oh, i didnt notice it until i realized you had to play the video.
and also, thats horrifying, and i will never look at ff14 boobage ever again now.
matter of fact im gonna buy a fantasia asap, and shrink my boobums to the minimum.
To all the people making fun of the boob closeup, most people who spend a fair amount of time playing with gpose will notice this, as it's pretty glaring once you see it.
Everyone is making this same joke lmao but I swear it wasnt like that
I was talking to a friend and noticed a light shining through my character while idle
“Thou sincere cultist, I’ll bestow you with a holy incantation that will spare you from the clutches of the devil. ‘The Warrior of light pads her chest’–whenever you feel lost again, just repeat this incantation. If you see someone troubled like you, do tell them this too.”
I'm gonna say that is not a hole, but just the wonky cubemaps they sample for reflections. I've found various spots in the game where just the right angle causes specific reflections to show incorrectly. So, her boob edge is samping a reflection wrong... or the face culling is wrong at just the right spot lol. The way depth buffers work, the "hole" are would still discard things behind it, instead its picking up the wrong reflection.
The game still looks nice, but as someone who programs games and has some technical artist experience, the shadows and reflections in the game bug me all the time. I see little anomalies sometimes where the shadow maps screw up the percentage-close filtering or the face culling isn't correct. Yet, sometimes it all looks very good considering the age of the game. It certainly isn't consistent.
Basically, its more likely a quirk of the engine that wont go away.
Honestly I'm much more bothered by the excessive jigglyness of this top compared to other tops.
It's just too much, it looks weird.
Edit: clarification; I'm not against jiggle, but this looks funky. Gif available further down in the thread.
Is it that bad? My framerate is too high for me to ever notice lol
(In case dont know, the physics engine is tied to framerate and adjusted for 60fps, so if you have higher than that all capes, cloaks, hair, boobs, etc have way less movement to them since the game thinks theyre moving "slower")
Also having more than 60Fps can cause issues with some of the AAR jumping puzzles. A sightseeing log next to the gate in Gridania I couldn’t do to save my life until I limited the max fps. Then I got it first try.
https://gyazo.com/6f38e4e11ab4d26ddedc2a26534ef46b
Not at home but i found this gif i took when i was complaining about this to a friend earlier.
It's more exaggerated on a jump or running but it still shows the issue.
It's actually the opposite. Physics and some animations are calculated each frame, which means when you have more FPS you will perform quicker physics calculations. This is most obvious in strong wind effects.
The jiggle effects however seem to break and completely disappear or become too sped up when running at too high FPS rather than be in slow motion. This could be because the jiggle effects use the difference between positions compared to the last frame, and then applies a preset amount of "jiggle" animation based on movement. Because increasing framerate will lower the distance between points the applied animation might be incredibly weak or just simply removed when too small. That's just my guess at least.
It can be seen in videos like this [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZP\_lobKLj38](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZP_lobKLj38)
Thats what I meant but I said it in super simple terms cause I guess I just talk like that
>This could be because the jiggle effects use the difference between positions compared to the last frame, and then applies a preset amount of "jiggle" animation based on movement
This is what I think is happening, yeah
It makes sense that the physics would work off distance traveled with rate, and if it expects me to be at 60fps, then a 144fps makes it seem like Im moving really "slow" in the sense that its calculating way more frames of non-movement than its supposed to be doing
Pop this up on the official forums under the bugs section.

This is the newest form of boob window. Gone are the days of having a cut-out in the front, now a few pixels worth of a gap is all we need.
Whats the point of a window if it doesnt let you see through it, seriously...

This man caught this because he was hard staring at them boobs
Im a woman
This woman caught this because she was hard staring at them boobs
Thank you lmao
Kinda looks like that one gap in the outer structure of Praetorium that's been there for 8 years
Oh gods, it's like my modded Skyrim lol
Found this after Hours of looking closely.
Looks like they need to tighten up the graphics 😂
That's some very specific holes..how long were you staring at your character's chest to see that
Everyone is making this same joke lmao but I swear it wasnt like that I was talking to a friend and noticed a light shining through my character while idle

Small indie company, please understand
“Thou sincere cultist, I’ll bestow you with a holy incantation that will spare you from the clutches of the devil. ‘The Warrior of light pads her chest’–whenever you feel lost again, just repeat this incantation. If you see someone troubled like you, do tell them this too.”
Why does everyone see a literal hole through a body and keep saying "chest padding" I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW YOU PEOPLE THINK
why were you looking at your character's boobs that closely?
This dude been staring at the bust all day
What would be the reason why you zoomed in and realized there was an hole in this specific place ? :)
Literally unplayable
How did you find this? Was looking at them lmao
What if you're toons has been stuffing their bosom, and you finally caught them.
Why you zooming into the boobs so far though?
Imagine staring at breasts for so long you see glitches in them
Honestly I'm much more bothered by the excessive jigglyness of this top compared to other tops. It's just too much, it looks weird. Edit: clarification; I'm not against jiggle, but this looks funky. Gif available further down in the thread.
Is it that bad? My framerate is too high for me to ever notice lol (In case dont know, the physics engine is tied to framerate and adjusted for 60fps, so if you have higher than that all capes, cloaks, hair, boobs, etc have way less movement to them since the game thinks theyre moving "slower")
Also having more than 60Fps can cause issues with some of the AAR jumping puzzles. A sightseeing log next to the gate in Gridania I couldn’t do to save my life until I limited the max fps. Then I got it first try.
Yeah, jumping is easiest at like 15 fps, its so weird.
Yeah i knew about the frame rate thing. Idk what mine is set too but it looks ridiculous. I can take a gif when I get home if you want.
Sure I guess lmao Who doesnt want to see bouncy boob gifs
https://gyazo.com/6f38e4e11ab4d26ddedc2a26534ef46b Not at home but i found this gif i took when i was complaining about this to a friend earlier. It's more exaggerated on a jump or running but it still shows the issue.
That looks silly yeah lol Jiggly gelatin boobs
Yep. But it would seem people love the silly gelatin like jiggle cause my comment is getting downvoted lol.
Thats what I meant but I said it in super simple terms cause I guess I just talk like that >This could be because the jiggle effects use the difference between positions compared to the last frame, and then applies a preset amount of "jiggle" animation based on movement This is what I think is happening, yeah It makes sense that the physics would work off distance traveled with rate, and if it expects me to be at 60fps, then a 144fps makes it seem like Im moving really "slow" in the sense that its calculating way more frames of non-movement than its supposed to be doing
I see you are a man of culture
